Came here on a recommendation and this was amazing! Talk about a step back in time. They had all kinds of candy found out about an Idaho Spud and found my old time favorite - Goo Goo clusters...yummy. Not only that, they serve Bluebell ice cream and had an oatmeal cream pie cookie flavor. Delightful! Set up was a bit busy just with all the options offered but the store was clean and easy to find things. The staff was friendly and having just one person did make for a small wait upon check out. read more

I rate coffee shops with their affogatos. This one was so worth the dairy splurge I wasn't suppose to have. The espresso tasted so pure and with the vanilla ice cream just made it perfect! It hit the spot for me! We walked inside the shop while waiting and they have amazing array of candies! It's like down memory lane they have different soda bottles available! The staff was very pleasant and it was a sweet surprise that they're open on Christmas Day! Clean, has benches outside you can watch people go by while you enjoy your ice cream, coffee or any indulgence you decide to pick from 3 star candy shop! Let's support local!!! read more

Came back for some blue ice cream the kids loved and hi chews for my husband. The outside area in the back is a little sad looking but we ate in the store and the gal at the counter was nice and patient with us! read more

With the change in ownership comes a shift in pricing, reflecting new management's vision for the establishment. The atmosphere has evolved as well; it feels less oriented towards families and children than it previously did. This adjustment in focus may affect the overall experience for those who enjoyed the kid-friendly environment that used to characterize this place. read more

They have a wide selection of candy and sodas both old and new school. They have fresh chocolates and other goodies as well as coffee and icecream. The staff is always very kind however it's usually only one person and if they get busy the line can get a little backed up but they work through it with a smile on their face. My favorite thing here if the affagato!! Fresh espresso poured over vanilla icecream 10/10 recommend if your into sweet coffee. I like to let the I team melt all the way and drink it like a iced coffee. read more

I absolutely love this store. They always have my candy that I want. The staff is always very nice and helpful.

This is an old-fashioned candy and ice cream shop with a rather quaint vibe, crammed into a narrow store front in downtown Round Rock. We (me, daughter, and grandkids) visited on a hot Sunday afternoon to get some Blue Bell ice cream and a root beer float. You can't go wrong with Blue Bell ice cream. The store had a good assortment of ice cream flavors, including at least one seasonal variety. My root beer float, which was very small given its price, was superb...best root beer I've ever had. Pricing at the store is generally on the high side, but this isn't surprising given it's a small place with many unusual items. There is an incredible selection of candies and sodas in the store. If you grew up in the late 50s into the 1960s, you will recognize brands and flavors from those days. Chewing gums like Beeman's and Black Jack, chewing gum cigars, and candy cigarettes are among the treats available. Parking is limited out front, so if you see an open space, don't hesitate to take it. There is a shady deck out back with seating and a small area out front to eat your treats. If you sit out back, there are blocks for children to play with...but do supervise younger kids, as there is unsafe territory to the side of the deck. This place is definitely worth a visit. read more

It's in downtown Round Rock which is so cute. And it's the cutest little candy shop. Full of fun. And...they sell ice cream --Blue Bell ice cream in cups or cones or you can even get cones with sprinkles. They sell all kinds of bottle soft drinks. Including bottle Dr. Pepper. And they have neat Harry Potter chocolate candy. It has a cool retro feel. It's a cool candy shop. read more

A cute little candy shop with a surprising amount of options. They also have a decent ice cream selection and a limited soda selection. I got a bag of various sour gummies and I have never had such good gummy bears before! Wow. I thought it'd just be store bought candy but it doesn't taste like that. You definitely pay more here for your candy so if I lived in the area it probably wouldn't be my go to place for a sweet tooth fix but it's definitely worth the visit for any special occasion. Side note: one of the gummies I got was a sour pink and blue gummy that tastes like sour lollipop gum and I kinda love it. read more

Ok from the start it takes you back in time. My time when we had really cool candy. I didn't get a picture of my root beer float. I drank it way to fast. It was so good. I'm going through chemo and man on man did it take it back. Not sure where to stand to get my order. There was only one girl working. So service was slow but it was worth it. Check it out downtown round rock. If you go out the back door there's some game to play or just walk a block to the kiddie wading pool Man I'm sorry I drank it so fast. No cherry on top either read more

Holy grail of candy shops!! They have a great variety of different type of candies plus a ton of retro and modern candy. They also have some pretty cool twist on their ice cream sundae. They have a open back sitting area where you can hang out or play games. You could also sit on the front (they offer outside seating as well). Would defiantly recommend. 3 Star Candy Shop - Candy Stores Near Me - Round Rock, Texas

It's a small place in downtown Roundrock filled wall to wall and ceiling to floor with unique selections of drinks, candy, ice cream and more. There is a small counter for 4 or so to sit at... some interesting menu items to choose from, and a way to meet your sweet tooth's best friend. My family and I went in for some ice cream... they serve Blue Bell scoops either in cups or cones... and get some sweets. The price for their bulk candy is 1.98 per 1/4 pound... this works out to be way pricey! However their ice cream is fairly reasonable. They serve coffee, lattes, and other drinks as well. (See pics for the really odd ones) The people were nice and very accommodating. Great service and a very interesting shop. read more

This is the spot to be at on the weekends! I heard a customer say that there more people here than the bar. They have ice cream, sundaes, gourmet sodas, retro candies you can buy by the pound, candies in a bag or package, chocolate truffles, sodas in a glass, etc. There is so much to look at inside here. They have the cutest stools where you can sit outside and order from the window outside or sit on a stool at the counter inside. They have daily specials and now a patio outside if you would like to sit outside. They have the funniest novelty candies with hilarious sayings on it. I should distribute them to my coworkers lol j/k! So much to look at it over here. You gotta try the Buffalo wing sauce soda, ranch dressing soda, sweet corn soda or bacon soda if you dare! Love the retro feel and hope you come to enjoy it as well! I have been looking for a specific Brach's candy for so long. It's so hard to find it and they have it!!! I was so excited. It's the little things in life. I like the story about this shop behind the front door. I like to hear or read about the story behind the business. Support your local businesses. read more

Love this cute little candy shop on Main St in downtown Round Rock! They have everything from candy by the lb to floats and shakes. To be Covid safe, they've prepackaged their usually self-serve candy bins. They even have nostalgic choices to peruse. We most recently purchased their freshly made chocolate coconut haystack, sea salt and bourbon chocolate covered caramels, and chocolate toffee. Everything was worth the calories. Delicious and decadent! I definitely know where I'll be headed for my after dinner sweet treat when in dt Round Rock. read more

If you have a sweet tooth, this is the store to visit. They have it all. They have a variety of nostalgic candies (and soft drinks) as well as their own homemade candies. They are a full ice cream parlor with one of the best selections of Blue Bell around. They've got a fairly complete coffee menu as well. And unlike almost anyplace else, they have a full soda fountain. I visited on Thursday evening. I got a root beer float. I was truly surprised to see them making the root beer from scratch with syrup and carbonated water before preparing the float. My friend with me also commented on the gigantic scoop of ice cream for her cone. While the prices are significantly above anyplace else, you're also paying for great service and actual expertise. Whether you're wanting to treat yourself or looking for some candy you remember from childhood, this is the only place to come -- and worth the drive from Austin. read more

3 Star Candy Shop - Kids come! - Candy Stores Near Me - Round Rock, Texas

The nostalgia factor here is at extreme levels. It is soda shop and candy store all in one. The kid in a candy shop cliche was not lost on me when we went in. There is so much to see and taste the choices are overwhelming. There are so many neat little classics and novelties as well. There was a Bob Ross energy drink!! All the ice cream comes with a gummy bear topper. The list could go on forever! The staff was super cool and helpful and everything was moderately prices. Special shout out to he team for taking care of my toddler when he dropped his cone, they were super cool. The back patio was super chill with some bar type games and good shaded seats. Would love to come back at night and hang a bit as well. This is a classic and a novelty worth checking out for a special treat, or a unique gift, or looking for a time kill. read more

This is a super cute local candy shop my aunt brought me too. They have all sorts of candy, new and throwback candies i havent seen since my childhood. I was really excited to try some stuff here and loved the vibe with the retro candies. However we felt put off immediately walking in when the two girls yelled "were closing in a hour! Ice cream isn't being served soon!". I'm like okay, we're not going to take an hour to choose something. A couple minutes later I ask for ice cream and they tell me it's done being served even though it hasn't been put away and it's been literally 1 min since they said "it's going away soon". I don't understand the harsh cut off an hour before closing but it left a sour taste in our mouths. They should just close at 9pm then. read more

3 Star is my root beer dealer. Legit root beer. Not just A&W, they have TONS of root beer brands. If you're not into root beer they also have a plethora of sodas and such. Old school candy, classic taffy ( and spicy taffy!), hand made chocolate, every flavor of gummy bear you need, knick knacks and patty whacks as well. They even help supply my metal lunch box addiction. and if you're looking to add to your low key date night this place is perfect for a sunday, milk shake or ice cream treat. NEVER AGAIN!!! This store just happened to be in the downtown round rock area we were in and figured we would pop in and check it out... what a rip off!!! The chocolate gold coins they sell are more than what they're priced at so pay about a buck for a half dollar chocolate coin. I can't tell you the exact price mixed in with everything else but man it was a disappointment. If you're in the area and don't mind spending $$$$$ on stuff then sure but not for me. I did not get any of the ice cream but by the looks of it, it looked pretty old like it's been sitting there awhile. I could be wrong but that's the appearance the icecream gave off read more

Meh, went there over a month ago and we just simply weren't impressed. The store is pretty small, decent variety of candy but there are other places that have a bigger variety. Cue my candy shop music! Hit it, DMX! "Y'all gon' make me lose my mind up in here, up in here! Y'all gon' make me go all out up in here, up in here. Y'all gon' make me act a fool up in here, up in here!" Holy CandyLand! Where do you look or go first?!? We were greeted upon entry. The kiddos took off, to dig their (clean-no worries) hands into the wheelbarrows of candy. Welcome back to the 80's, the magical decade of candy eating; Rocky Road, Pop Rocks, Laffy Taffy, Charleston Chews, candy cigarettes, Big League Chew. Oh Jees... All kinds of nostalgia up in there. Buddy the Elf said that the four food groups are: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup. If you're following his food pyramid, you'll meet all your nutritional needs in one visit. It's a fun store but it's not a playground. Definitely need to watch the littles in there. Especially since they have glass bottles within reaching distance for the 3 feet and under crowd. I had a lot of fun looking around, flashing back in time and being giddy with the kiddos. You won't regret visiting here or bringing the kids in. The owner said that they'll be getting ice cream soon. Just in time for summer! He was super nice and sweet about my kiddos roaming through the store touching everything! Word of advice: stay away from the bacon jelly beans in the bacon shaped tin up by the register. Awful! read more
