I rate coffee shops with their affogatos. This one was so worth the dairy splurge I wasn't suppose to have. The espresso tasted so pure and with the vanilla ice cream just made it perfect! They have a wide selection of candy and sodas both old and new school. They have fresh chocolates and other goodies as well as coffee and icecream. The staff is always very kind however it's usually only one person and if they get busy the line can get a little backed up but they work through it with a smile on their face. My favorite thing here if the affagato!! Fresh espresso poured over vanilla icecream 10/10 recommend if your into sweet coffee. This is an old-fashioned candy and ice cream shop with a rather quaint vibe, crammed into a narrow store front in downtown Round Rock. We (me, daughter, and grandkids) visited on a hot Sunday afternoon to get some Blue Bell ice cream and a root beer float. You can't go wrong with Blue Bell ice cream. The store had a good assortment of ice cream flavors, including at least one seasonal variety. My root beer float, which was very small given its price, was superb...best root beer I've ever had. Pricing at the store is generally on the high side, but this isn't surprising given it's a small place with many unusual items. There is an incredible selection of candies and sodas in the store. If you grew up in the late 50s into the 1960s, you will recognize brands and flavors from those days. Chewing gums like Beeman's and Black Jack, chewing gum cigars, and candy cigarettes are among the treats available. Parking is limited out front, so if you see an open space, don't hesitate to take it. There is a shady deck out back with seating and a small area out front to eat your treats. If you sit out back, there are blocks for children to play with...but do supervise younger kids, as there is unsafe territory to the side of the deck. A cute little candy shop with a surprising amount of options. They also have a decent ice cream selection and a limited soda selection. I got a bag of various sour gummies and I have never had such good gummy bears before! Wow. I thought it'd just be store bought candy but it doesn't taste like that. You definitely pay more here for your candy so if I lived in the area it probably wouldn't be my go to place for a sweet tooth fix but it's definitely worth the visit for any special occasion. Holy grail of candy shops!! They have a great variety of different type of candies plus a ton of retro and modern candy. They also have some pretty cool twist on their ice cream sundae. There is a small counter for 4 or so to sit at... some interesting menu items to choose from, and a way to meet your sweet tooth's best friend. My family and I went in for some ice cream... they serve Blue Bell scoops either in cups or cones... and get some sweets. The price for their bulk candy is 1.98 per 1/4 pound... this works out to be way pricey! However their ice cream is fairly reasonable. They serve coffee, lattes, and other drinks as well. This is the spot to be at on the weekends! I heard a customer say that there more people here than the bar. They have ice cream, sundaes, gourmet sodas, retro candies you can buy by the pound, candies in a bag or package, chocolate truffles, sodas in a glass, etc. There is so much to look at inside here. Love this cute little candy shop on Main St in downtown Round Rock! They have everything from candy by the lb to floats and shakes. To be Covid safe, they've prepackaged their usually self-serve candy bins. They even have nostalgic choices to peruse. We most recently purchased their freshly made chocolate coconut haystack, sea salt and bourbon chocolate covered caramels, and chocolate toffee. Everything was worth the calories. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the store to visit. They have it all. They have a variety of nostalgic candies (and soft drinks) as well as their own homemade candies. They are a full ice cream parlor with one of the best selections of Blue Bell around. They've got a fairly complete coffee menu as well. And unlike almost anyplace else, they have a full soda fountain. I visited on Thursday evening. I got a root beer float. I was truly surprised to see them making the root beer from scratch with syrup and carbonated water before preparing the float. My friend with me also commented on the gigantic scoop of ice cream for her cone. While the prices are significantly above anyplace else, you're also paying for great service and actual expertise. This is a super cute local candy shop my aunt brought me too. They have all sorts of candy, new and throwback candies i havent seen since my childhood. They also have homemade ice cream and they let you sample flavors. I was really excited to try some stuff here and loved the vibe with the retro candies. However we felt put off immediately walking in when the two girls yelled "were closing in a hour! Ice cream isn't being served soon!". I'm like okay, we're not going to take an hour to choose something. A couple minutes later I ask for ice cream and they tell me it's done being served even though it hasn't been put away and it's been literally 1 min since they said "it's going away soon". The chocolate gold coins they sell are more than what they're priced at so pay about a buck for a half dollar chocolate coin. I can't tell you the exact price mixed in with everything else but man it was a disappointment. If you're in the area and don't mind spending $$$$$ on stuff then sure but not for me. Buddy the Elf said that the four food groups are: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup. If you're following his food pyramid, you'll meet all your nutritional needs in one visit. It's a fun store but it's not a playground. Definitely need to watch the littles in there. Especially since they have glass bottles within reaching distance for the 3 feet and under crowd. I had a lot of fun looking around, flashing back in time and being giddy with the kiddos. You won't regret visiting here or bringing the kids in. The owner said that they'll be getting ice cream soon. Just in time for summer! He was super nice and sweet about my kiddos roaming through the store touching everything!
