With the change in ownership comes a shift in pricing, reflecting new management's vision for the establishment. The atmosphere has evolved as well; it feels less oriented towards families and children than it previously did. This adjustment in focus may affect the overall experience for those who enjoyed the kid-friendly environment that used to characterize this place.

They have a wide selection of candy and sodas both old and new school. They have fresh chocolates and other goodies as well as coffee and icecream. The staff is always very kind however it's usually only one person and if they get busy the line can get a little backed up but they work through it with a smile on their face. My favorite thing here if the affagato!! Fresh espresso poured over vanilla icecream 10/10 recommend if your into sweet coffee. I like to let the I team melt all the way and drink it like a iced coffee.

This is an old-fashioned candy and ice cream shop with a rather quaint vibe, crammed into a narrow store front in downtown Round Rock. We (me, daughter, and grandkids) visited on a hot Sunday afternoon to get some Blue Bell ice cream and a root beer float. You can't go wrong with Blue Bell ice cream. The store had a good assortment of ice cream flavors, including at least one seasonal variety. My root beer float, which was very small given its price, was superb...best root beer I've ever had. Pricing at the store is generally on the high side, but this isn't surprising given it's a small place with many unusual items. There is an incredible selection of candies and sodas in the store. If you grew up in the late 50s into the 1960s, you will recognize brands and flavors from those days. Chewing gums like Beeman's and Black Jack, chewing gum cigars, and candy cigarettes are among the treats available. Parking is limited out front, so if you see an open space, don't hesitate to take it. There is a shady deck out back with seating and a small area out front to eat your treats. If you sit out back, there are blocks for children to play with...but do supervise younger kids, as there is unsafe territory to the side of the deck. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Great location right in the heart of DT Round Rock. This store had a lotta great finds and old school/childhood faves like the bubble gum cigars & cigarettes. Old school pops and ice cream.

This is a gem in the RR downtown. I love their ice cream. The staff is very friendly. There is plenty of seating outside. Love it.

Holy grail of candy shops!! They have a great variety of different type of candies plus a ton of retro and modern candy. They also have some pretty cool twist on their ice cream sundae. They have a open back sitting area where you can hang out or play games. You could also sit on the front (they offer outside seating as well). Would defiantly recommend. Love the style of the place plus the lady and guy working here were super nice!!

It's a small place in downtown Roundrock filled wall to wall and ceiling to floor with unique selections of drinks, candy, ice cream and more. There is a small counter for 4 or so to sit at... some interesting menu items to choose from, and a way to meet your sweet tooth's best friend. My family and I went in for some ice cream... they serve Blue Bell scoops either in cups or cones... and get some sweets. The price for their bulk candy is 1.98 per 1/4 pound... this works out to be way pricey! However their ice cream is fairly reasonable. They serve coffee, lattes, and other drinks as well. (See pics for the really odd ones) The people were nice and very accommodating. Great service and a very interesting shop.

Yum! After a bender there's nothing like sweets to make things perfect. This store has everything from ice cream and chocolate to pop and gummy bears. I'm in candy heaven and feel no regrets! This is a must-go for folks who have a sweet tooth. Good service, Great sweets! Do it!

This is the spot to be at on the weekends! I heard a customer say that there more people here than the bar. They have ice cream, sundaes, gourmet sodas, retro candies you can buy by the pound, candies in a bag or package, chocolate truffles, sodas in a glass, etc. There is so much to look at inside here. They have the cutest stools where you can sit outside and order from the window outside or sit on a stool at the counter inside. They have daily specials and now a patio outside if you would like to sit outside. They have the funniest novelty candies with hilarious sayings on it. I should distribute them to my coworkers lol j/k! So much to look at it over here. You gotta try the Buffalo wing sauce soda, ranch dressing soda, sweet corn soda or bacon soda if you dare! Love the retro feel and hope you come to enjoy it as well! I have been looking for a specific Brach's candy for so long. It's so hard to find it and they have it!!! I was so excited. It's the little things in life. I like the story about this shop behind the front door. I like to hear or read about the story behind the business. Support your local businesses.

TL;DR Good candy but expensive. I would recommend it otherwise…read more Small selection compared to the location on Airport (mostly chocolate and small stuffed animals). I haven't tried the non-chocolate candy as the selection doesn't look appealing to me. On my last visit, I unfortunately found out the hard way that prices skyrocketed, chocolates are sold prepackaged and not individually anymore. I got 1 bag of dark chocolate peanut clusters and dark chocolate raspberry truffles. Both taste great but the price... about $24. The workers are always nice and polite - no complaints there. The store itself is nice and neat but very quiet and normally empty - just an observation and not a criticism.

I was completely shocked. I've since learned that Williamson County Health Department made them stop selling individual candies. Why they did this now, I do not know. This has always been my go-to candy store for all occasions and I'm terribly sad that this store has changed it's format. Lamme's has a location on Airport Blvd that still sells candy by the piece, for anyone who is interested.

It is not the newest H E B and it is not the most updated, but honestly, that is part of what makes it so great. Even when it is crowded, you can still move around easily and get down the aisles without constantly waiting for someone to move their cart. A lot of the newer H E Bs have much smaller aisles, which can make shopping feel stressful, especially during busy times. That is never really an issue here. On top of that, the customer service is always great. The staff is friendly, helpful, and consistent every time I visit. Parking is also usually ample, so you are not circling the lot forever trying to find a spot unless it is right before a major holiday like Thanksgiving. Overall, this H E B gets it right. Great service, great products, and a store layout that actually makes grocery shopping easy and stress free. This location definitely deserves the recognition.

But I didn't get the chance to shop there. Fast forward, I was in Georgia for a few months, went inside, and fell completely in love. It is such a great grocery store. So when I came to Austin, I just assumed they didn't have one, but to my surprise, I discovered the ALDI sign as I was driving to another store. I find my go-to and mostly a variety of food that I love. I find other items I haven't tried before, but now do. They also have the best selection of meats, veggies, and fruit. The freshest of fruit, I must add. I love the wide selection of candies, crackers, and cookies. My favorite is the miniature Reese's cups and the fruit gummies. I like that when I can't find an item, someone is there to help. I like the layout of the store; it's very open with maybe 4 to 5 aisles. I like that they are very friendly at the cash register.

You need to know that if you want a cart, you need a quarter. You put the quarter into the slot to "release" the cart lock and then when you are done, if you return the cart to its spot, you get your quarter back. The store has what I would say is the typical Aldi selection - more than a Trader Joe's, but less than an HEB. The prices are typically less than other stores assuming you aren't brand name specific in your tastes. The staff are the quickest at the check out ever - true to Aldi's reputation. Just know that you'll be bagging your groceries yourself at the counter beyond the cash registers as there is no time to bag them at the checkout line. The store has wide aisles and while it may not be the most well organized space, the signage is clear about what is where. Overall, I would definitely visit this store when in the general area.
