My husband and I popped in for lunch so it was relatively quiet and empty. I was in the mood for carbs and this looked like the perfect spot! What could possibly be better than handmade noodles? I ordered the smaller portion of the fettuccine Alfredo with a side of grilled chicken and it was absolutely phenomenal! The noodles were perfectly al dente and the sauce was so creamy and light without being over salty or bland. Something that can be surprisingly, very difficult to accomplish!! The little rolls that also come as part of your starter was so good, I ended up asking for more and she so generously gave us two more rolls :) the portion was perfect for a late lunch without putting me in a carb coma. We were traveling from out of town, but if I lived closer? I would be here every. Single. Day!

Located in downtown round rock, there's definitely free parking around, but you just might need to drive a little further down to find something. But it wasn't too busy on a Thursday night and we were able to be seated immediately. I love the complimentary bread, so so good with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar at the table. And nice to snack on while you try to figure out what to order because there are just so many options and combinations on the menu. Though I do wish that more pasta dishes came with meat. You can add meat for an extra $5 but that kinda seems like a lot to me. The dishes are delicious though. The pasta, I believe, is made in house, and the texture is just so nice. It had a really good chew to it and just tasted fresh. The sauces are good too. My friend got the pink mushroom, and the tomato sauce was so rich. I got the palermo, but the gorgonzola was a little stronger than I expected, so I would probably order something else next time.

We got food to go so I can't comment on the service. The food was a huge disappointment. I have had fresh pasta before so my expectations were high. I got a Caesar salad and the cannelloni. My son got the chicken Alfredo with the fusilli pasta. The Alfredo sauce had ZERO flavor. Seriously, I have made better from the jar after adding some fresh seasoning. The filling inside the Cannelloni was tasteless as well. It could have used some salt. When pasta is NOT salted, it tastes nasty. I really don't understand how people in Texas rate food. This place is 2 stars at best. Definitely not 5. This is probably a one and done for me.

We came here on a whim and were NOT disappointed. I didn't take photos until we had already started eating. Our server was very sweet and made awesome recommendations. I had the spinach and ricotta ravioli with scarparo sauce- which is pesto and tomato basil cream. Absolutely delicious! The ravioli was so tender and the filling wasn't heavy. My husband had fettuccine carbonara, his favorite, and he ate every bite and dipped up the rest of the sauce with bread. Our kids had flatbreads and enjoyed them. The dulce de leche cannoli was very sweet, but also very tasty. Husband reports that the tiramisu is good, and the best part is that you can get it to go as well. We'd definitely eat here again. The pasta was awesome and I love all the custom choices.

June 26, 2025 review ---- We went there on a Thursday evening and it was pretty full. They have a big space for both inside seating and patio. Parking garage available just diagonally so if you don't find street parking, don't worry plenty of space in garage. Upon entry, We were told that only bar space available or patio, we chose patio as weather was ok. Menu is pretty diverse for vegetarian options so we thought of mixing it with a salad and pasta. We got Meg's salad which has Romaine lettuce, spring mix, tomatoes, roasted red pepper, spicy caramelized pecans and feta, price is $15. Along with that, we got tomato basil pasta with taglierini type of pasta. We asked for Fusilli but they ran out of this one. Pasta was not good. No flavor at all. Even the sauce felt pretty standard out of can and just poured over boiled pasta. Something that I wasn't expecting from a famous Italian restaurant. Meg salad has tons of pecans. Balsamic vinaigrette dressing on side went pretty good. Was definitely better than the pasta. I couldn't even finish the pecans. The first complimentary bread pieces we got was pretty cold, we asked for refill and next batch was warm. Our service was also not great. We got a seat at the edge of patio and they were a lot of mosquitoes and fly's. At first we ignored but we were not able to eat anything because of this. We moved to a different table ourselves, waitress came afterwards and she didn't ask once what was the reason or if we needed anything else. Overall pretty bad service+ not good food. Not motivated to come here again. Oh and on the way out, I told waitress about the fly's and she didn't bother. That shows the service level.

Palermo Pasra House is situated in downtown Round Rock on the main drag. We arrived just before noon and were promptly seated. The interior design is dark and would benefit from an update. The calzone was very large and delicious. So good I took one home for the wife! I ordered ravioli with italian ham and mushroom sauce. It was a hard fail. The ravioli tasted of raw flour and the sauce was very thin, almost watery, and tasteless. I expected more from a "pasta house". Service was just OK. Our waitress never refilled our water glasses. Room for improvement!

I went here with a couple of friends because we heard a lot of great reviews about this place. I love arrabiata and I know I ordered the wrong noodles with this dish. I didn't realize when the server recommended me the fusilli it was a short pasta. That's totally on me for not double checking that. This was not spicy at all, so it was just a really good tomato sauce pasta. I could tell the tomato sauce was good quality. The bread rolls weren't too bad, but I kinda wish they were more buttery. I tried the carbonara and I feel like it was more saucy than I would have liked. The amatriciana was a little salty, but it did have a kick which is nice. The Dulce De Leche Cannoli was really good, but super rich. The caramel was nice and creamy, the cannoli was nice and crispy too.

A pretty authentic pasta shop in round rock. The brick and mortar shop is very comfy, and when we went on a Thursday it was super packed. Definitely try to call in and reserve if you can. The pasta tasted very fresh, and I would recommend getting the Palermo again.

    Ragu Bolognese with meatballs
    Emily K.

Ragu Bolognese was okay, but the Carbonara was definitely way too undercooked. I am usually okay with the pasta noodle texture being a little al dente, but the Carbonara Fettuccine here smelled and tasted too raw and floury.

The pasta was outstanding! Very fresh and better than anything I've had outside of Italy. The menu is great and allows you to customize your own pasta dish with six choices of pasta, over twenty sauces, plus meats. The servers were very friendly. Great overall experience, and I'll be stopping back in anytime I'm in around Rock.

Ask the Community - Palermo Pasta House

Do they have gluten free pasta?

Hi Taylor! We do not have gluten free pasta but many of our gluten free customers will have our delicious salads with chicken or a bowl of our made-to-order sauces as a meal, such as our meat sauce or mushroom marsala with chicken.

Are there rooms for a private birthday party?

No. They have an outdoor patio that you may be able to reserve.

Do I need to make reservations for a Wednesday night?

For large groups for sure. For 4 or less not necessarily. Although some nights it can be busy so I would recommend it. Even same day or send me a message via yelp and I will add you.

Could we buy fresh noodles to take home?

Sorry, no you can't. They are looking to expand at a later date but until then you have to enjoy their delicious food in the restaurant.

Does Palermo Pasta House offer any gluten free pasta shapes?

Did not have any gluten free pasta when we were there. Maybe they do now.

The interior was also cleaner and nicer than the vibe I got from the sign. I got the chicken parmigiana lunch for takeout, which is $3 more if you get it during dinner time. I also got the meatball hot sub. After a $2 service fee, my total was $30, which was great value for how much food I got. I ended up getting 3.5 meals out of these two dishes. The chicken parmigiana lunch was delicious. The pasta and chicken were both very tasty. It came with garlic bread, which I think only had garlic on half of it. The meatball sub was gigantic. The meat didn't exactly suit my taste buds, but the sub was still tasty.

The only issue came when I went to pay the bill they could not get a manager to come to the register to okay the lunch, seems like they did not know how to handle this transaction. Made the experience not as good as it had started. The waitress said she would take care of it and for us not to wait around. They also have Gelato at the store and they have wonderful pastries which we picked up the following week for our son's birthday. Pastries were excellent and reminded me of bakeries in the Bronx.

Our server was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the place has a cool little vibe that feels relaxed but still energetic. We got there around 11:00, and by 11:15 or 11:20 the place was already lively and noisy, which honestly tells you people know where the good pizza is. I had the House salad with Caesar dressing, and it was fresh and loaded with tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, mushrooms, black olives, mozzarella, and crunchy garlic croutons. For pizza, I ordered the City Pie, and those toppings were giving -- pepperoni, Italian sausage, spinach, mushrooms, onions, black olives, and bell peppers. I'm not usually a huge fan of super thin crust pizza, but this one worked because the toppings and flavor carried every bite. The girls ordered the Queen Margherita, and it looked just as good as it sounds with fresh mozzarella, Roma tomatoes, Parmesan-Reggiano, and basil. We also tried one of the house sodas, and it was really, really good. Everything paired together perfectly. Definitely a spot I'd go back to again.
