    Huge portion and incredible lasagna!
    Pamela G.

Oh my, I have had the chicken carbanera, it was delicious! I decided to try something different and ordered the lasagna. My taste buds had a party in my mouth! Layers of pasta encased with an incredibly good meat sauce makes this another favorite! Joe's Kitchen is the only restaurant that actually sends food hot with a paper plate beneath to help keep it hot. That's great customer service! Their food reminds me of my visits to Italy with the authentic cuisine. If you want absolutely incredible Italian food, try Joe's Italian Kitchen. Oh, and don't forget the cheesy garlic bread! Yummy!

Okay we went back... twice! Joes is so good, becoming a favorite spot! I'll combine both visits in this review! Shrimp scampi - okay, little too heavy on the lemon flavor Lobster ravioli - would get again, so good and can't make easily at home so worth it! Tortellini Alfredo + chicken - not the favorite of everything else, probably wouldn't get again Chicken Parmesan - pretty good! Not a bad choice, can make at home so not the top choice, but not bad at all! Always great service even though we just pickup!

Quaint and relaxed atmosphere with good Italian food. We went in evening late for dinner after sports event around 8:30 at night. It did smell like smoke from bar next door. Not sure if it always smells this way. Sodas are bottled but they serve with glass of ice. Waitress offered great customer service and was very friendly. Didn't love the Philly. It was a lot of veggies. However the cheese sticks, bread, fries and pasta were all good. We will be back to try more dishes.

Carbonara - Grilled chicken with creamy white wine sauce with chopped ham and mushrooms with linguini

Great spot for Italian food if you are in the burbs and don't want to drive 20 minutes to downtown! Love the homey feeling of the restaurant and everyone is so nice and all smiles! Here's what I tried: Shrimp Fra Diablo - Shrimp with spicy red wine pink sauce over linguini: A rich dense dish with lots of flavor with fresh tasting shrimp and spicy sauce. To me this is a very unique and comforting Italian meal. They gave us some complimentary garlic dinner rolls and so I dipped the bread in the sauce and it tastes amazing! Carbonara - Grilled chicken with creamy white wine sauce with chopped ham and mushrooms with linguini I was very excited for this one since I'm a sucker for white creamy pasta sauce, however this was a bit too much on the salty side for me. Much like the Shrimp Diablo dish, this is also dense and creamy but with a sharp salty flavor and I only finished halfway. I'm planning to bring this home and add some of my own ingredients to counter the salty taste a bit. The portions are great and the delicious garlic soft bread was a nice complimentary addition. They plan to make in house Tiramisu soon so I'm definitely coming back to try that and probably try something else like the Spaghetti Marinara.

Meat Balls (3) - so tender & delicious (not salty)

We drove by so many times (since it's close to our house); so we finally decided to give them a try, and they did not disappoint! This place will satisfy your Italian' craving FOOD: We ordered: 1. Garlic cheese bread - unfortunately it was not garlicky at all, so it's a no for me. 2. Spaghetti Meatballs- I really loved their meatballs (tender, meaty, and didn't taste like it had so much breadcrumbs/filler), and their marinara was perfect! I wish they cooked their spaghetti more al dente for to-go orders so by the time the customers get to eat the food, the noodles would be perfectly al dente (that's how I like my pasta/spaghetti). 3. Marsala - another one of my favorites! It was so creamy and delicious, but it was a bit salty for me and again I wish they did their linguine a bit more al dente because when we got to eat our food (from driving home, and unpacked everything), the noodles were a bit overcooked for my liking. I'm sure if you eat at the restaurant it would be perfect. They have fresh rolls that come with it too which were legit! UPDATE: We went to the second time and tried their: 4. Godfather pizza - it was amazing their pizza dough is light, airy with perfect chew to it which I think it's what pizza dough should be. It tasted like brick-oven pizza, and not oily! Their pizza is better than some of the hyped and famous pizza places in town to be honest. It's so underrated! YOU NEED TO TRY THEIR PIZZAS!!! (Eat them fresh so the bottom stays crispy). 5. Pasta Sampler - we asked for Al dente noodles and they were all cooked perfectly when we got home to eat! All three dishes were so good, but my first favorite was Manicotti (creamy, velvety ricotta mixture/filling was just divine), second would be Cannelloni (just meaty and loved the spinach in the filling), their lasagna was also delicious! SERVICE: The food was ready fast. The best part is you can order the food via their website online or call ahead and do a drive-thru pickup - super convenient! AMBIENCE/LOCATION: This small restaurant is hidden in a small strip located on Grand Ave Parkway. There are parking spaces in front of the restaurant and they also have a drive-thru as well (but no outside ordering at the drive thru). PRICE: The price is reasonable given the portion and the taste. VERDICT: All in all, if you're like us driving by so many times and wondering if you should check them out, do it! We will definitely go back and try their other menu items!

All meat, little pasta. Never seen a pasta with sooooo little spaghetti

Trying for first time. Our meat sauce spaghetti was all meat no spaghetti. Porportion was terrible. Also don't understand these store bought mini breads. Better to not include at all but to how mid food is for $16-20 per plate is silly and definitely a robbery.

I haven't been to this place in awhile and I'm glad I made this choice to visit them again. Service: Unfortunately, I did not eat inside but the service was inviting when picking up a to-go order. There was no line or no wait but they seem to really cater to their customers and providing great customer service. Warning: There is not of parking area. Food: The food was excellent! I stay roughly 4 miles away from the restaurant and my food was still hot when I got home for a to-go order. It was seasoned really well and the portion size was just right. The bread was fresh and had great flavor. Overall: I'm really glad that they are still in business and wish nothing but great success in the future. I provided them with 4 stars as I wish they provided a seafood option that included fish. From my past experience, there was a problem sitting in the restaurant due to the cigarette smoke smell from the next door bar but it seem as if they was able to resolve this issue. I recommend supporting this business and enjoy a good Italian meal.

Small and very clean with some great customer service. Started with some Mozzarella Sticks (out of Fried Ravioli) they were delicious with a great cheese pull...Wife went with the pasta sampler which consisted of Lasagna, manicotti and cannelloni...all 1/2 portions...everything was a hit for the wife, including the side salad. I went with the Genovese which was Amazing and had a ton of sauce which was a great addition to the warm bread that was also served with out meal. Over all a great and tasty visit.

It was just iceberg lettuce with croutons and dressing in the side. The build your own pasta dishes were fantastic! The service was not great however, and this wasn't a unique experience as we've been here before and experienced poor service. Our waitress started out attentive but after our appetizers came, she didn't come back for about 15-20 mins to take our order. Our main dishes took about 30 minutes to come out. Once they did we never saw our waitress afterwards. We waited about 30-45 more mins and then we finally went to go find her to ask for to go boxes and the check. All in all we were there for about two hours, but not for good reason. I think this place has great potential, they just need to better train their staff to be more attentive.

Dropped in to kill some time and grab a bite to eat... and left super impressed yet again! The vibe here is perfectly laid-back....chill atmosphere, no pretension, just a spot to relax with great drinks and food. Shoutout to the beer master Eric behind the bar! He's incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he pours. He shared this awesome line that stuck with me: "Every good beer has a story, and the story should be told!" Made the whole experience feel more personal. I went with tap #13, Juicy Fish--a hazy IPA from WeldWerks Brewing Co. at 8.6% ABV. Wow, what a juicy, flavorful beast! Packed with tropical hops, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink for that ABV. Definitely hit the spot. For food, I had 5 wings tossed in the Blazin Ghost Pepper sauce. It's described as a smoky blend with mild ghost pepper heat, and it delivered exactly that....great smokiness upfront, building warmth without incinerating your mouth (perfect if you like heat but not torture level). Wings were crispy, juicy, and tender too. Rounded it out with the Carnivore pizza, loaded with meats and just the right amount of char on the crust. Hand stretched and fresh, it paired really well with the beer. If you're in the Pflugerville area and love craft beer (especially with knowledgeable staff who actually talk about it), wings, or pizza, this place is a winner. Will definitely be back again and again to catch more of the rotating taps and hear more stories from Eric! Get em while you can. They are Beer today gone tomorrow.

This also means they expect to be tipped before you get your meal. Our table service was pretty lackluster. There's country music playing overhead and a couple of flat screens to stare at, but not much else. I heard they sold wine here, but their selection is terrible. There's a few commercial choices of beer and a seltzer, but not much else which is why we settled on a cup of water. We got the Caesar salad (which looked really good), the lasagna and a pepperoni/mushroom calzone. Both our meals came out several minutes apart, and my calzone was a real disappointment. The marinara came out in a small plastic cup, and it was literally ice cold!! After I cut through the calzone I noticed they had completely forgotten the mushrooms even though I paid for them. To make matters worse, it's served on a sheet of paper so you wind up cutting it up with your calzone and eating some of it. The less than 1" high lasagna looked fairly unappetizing with 2 cold stale bread sticks. According to other yelpers they may make a good pizza, but our meals were so disappointing that we won't be back. So the lesson here is to skip the dine in and get the pizza to go.
