We love this place. Have been so many times over the years as my husband used to work nearby. The pizza is delicious and the pasta and garlic rolls are also not to be slept on. My son went here after school one day last week. He ordered on the Slice App and the staff was very kind to him after they couldn't find his order. The owner of this place was absolutely ridiculous and disrespectful towards women. Never go here. Grew up coming here and the place is absolutely gone downhill with these awful owners. Had to call back 30 minutes later just to be told it was my problem and that I have to figure out what happened. I ordered through his website. We stopped by for pizza, salad, and fried ravioli after a long day of moving. I thought the bread rolls and pizza were excellent. I bake and felt tje garlic rolls were fine. Not sure why people complained. The pizza crust was also amazing and I appreciated the generous amount of cheese used. The fried ravioli was different for me but delicious. We went here around 7:30 pm. It wasn't too busy. Our server, Zaid, was very sweet and personable. He made great conversation with us and kept us entertained. He was also very attentive to us and the other people eating at the restaurant. Our food didn't take too long to come out; maybe around 10-15 minutes. My friend and I got pasta for takeout from here, and in the less than five minute car ride with me holding the bag securely in my lap, both pastas had leaked through their containers. They should really fix their packaging. We both thought the pasta was alright. I got the chicken florentine, which is a chicken fettuccine alfredo with spinach and mushrooms. I normally really like fettuccine alfredo, and I thought the chicken was good as it was moist, but the sauce just tasted too heavy. My friend had the opposite issue as most of her sauce had leaked out, so she said her shrimp scampi lacked flavour. Even though a bunch of my sauce had leaked out too, it still had an overwhelmingly heavy taste. I liked the spinach and mushrooms though. Our pastas came with one roll each, and we each ordered an additional one. We really shouldn't have as this was way too much food. The rolls were very soft and fragrant garlic bread rolls. They were delicious although a little too oily. When you order online, they have a mandatory online order fee and a $40 minimum order cost. You have to meet the minimum order cost before tax, tip, and the fee, which seems unreasonable. Once we saw this, we ended up calling to place an order to avoid the order minimum and fee. This is such a weird system that essentially encourages calling to order, which is more work for the staff when there is already an online order feature. The actual menu prices are very reasonable though. read more

Ordered online for a pickup. Give them an hour to make a carry out order. Got to the spot and they literally had not even started to make it. The guy apparently in charge told us it would be ready in 15 minutes. Even though they hadn't even started to make the order. Told him to cancel it and refund our money. He said because we ordered through "Slice" he couldn't refund our money. Blamed us for ordering online instead of calling them directly. Didn't apologize or make any attempt at customer service. Decided to wait on the order anyway since getting a refund was a hassle. While we wait, we hear him berating the kids working the counter about not staying on top of online orders coming in. Said it has been happening to much lately, in the past few days. So....it wasn't the online app, it was his crew letting an online order sit. Not our fault, not the fault of the app - their fault. When our order was ready they gave it to us with a "sorry" no discount, no dessert, not even the offer of a drink while we waited. Had a party so placed my order with hours of anticipation. When I got to the restaurant, I told a you g lady about my order and she went back to the kitchen but didn't say anything when she came back. I assumed order wasn't ready but after about 15 minutes of standing there. I asked her again about my order so she asked my name and they could not find it. I was really upset but never rude so she finally found the order and like if nothing happened, told me she was going to send it to get done. I said "no. I have to pick up my son for his surprise party" and she said "go pick him up and come back for your order" as if I was going to be ok with them not having my order and waste gas in coming back. I got Caesar salad and the dressing is terrible. It was actively bad tasting dressing. There's so many average dressing if not great and I don't know how they found a bad one. 27 years we've been going to Baris! We actually went in opening day. We raved about the rolls, the lasagne, the pizza. Countless high school kids worked there over the years. It's a Pflugerville institution and rightly so! One can still get the daily special with a roll for about $10. Crazy. We asked Pflugerville friends for a good place for good, simple, not too pricey Italian, they sent us to Baris. A few bites into his Spaghetti & Meatballs, my guy said, "This is exactly what I wanted!" He did admit later on that the red sauce needed a bit more garlic, but really, can there ever be enough garlic? I was very happy with my Chicken Piccata. The sauce was a bit on the thin side, but the taste was excellent, with just the right balance of lemon and wine goodness, and plenty of capers. And then, there is the bread. It arrived hot out of the oven, and fabulous. Not your standard Italian white, but a lovely soft roll with an oven-browned top that I found irresistible. I ate an embarrassing amount of it, drenched in my slightly-too-thin sauce. My guy's glass of Pinot Noir was a very reasonable $7, and entrees were also well priced in the range of $10-15. I see they have $10 lunch specials during the week. Portion sizes were perfect for us--enough for a satisfying meal, but not a big pile to take home. Definitely a find. We'll be back. read more

I finally tried the pizza here. I was pleasantly pleased. I looked up what I wanted on their website and called it in for a pick up. My first time I ordered a pizza with no toppings. I arrived 15 minutes after I called the ordered and still has to wait another 10 minutes. In the meantime while I waited I chopped it up with Breanna. She was from NY like me and she told me more about the family restaurant and how they're from NY too as well. I got my pizza and took it back home. The pizza was good. Brenna had given me a special red sauce too that was very flavorful and has a robust taste. I like the taste of the pizza. You also get a lot of pizza for the price. I've been back twice so since I first tried them a couple of weeks. I'll definitely be checking for then when I'm in the mood for pizza. read more
