Early dinner 5:15 on a Thursday and only 6 other tables occupied and our first visit. We live locally. Strike 1- server spilled drink delivering our drinks. Strike 2- wife orders menu item only to be told not available due to staffing/supply issues. Strike 3- Cesar salad with very little romaine lettuce and probably the smallest side salad on record. Strike 4- pepperoni pizza with black olives arrived without black olives. Pizza crust flopped over and not crispy. Taste was decent. QT pizza slice is better. Strike 5- server never checked on us once after delivering our meals. Dinner rolls were very good but only 2 and not offered more during dinner service. We had high hopes for our local Italian restaurant, but it fell well short of expectations. We will not be returning. read more

Love this restaurant! Good Italian fare and great service. We haven't had a bad meal here. Tonight my daughter had the spaghetti and meatballs which she loved. I went for the chicken parm - nice portions and delicious. My wife enjoyed the eggplant appetizer and saved room for a cannoli for dessert. A bit disappointed we are sorry to say. My Clams and Linguini was watery rather than having a traditional clam sauce. It was bland. No hint of garlic, wine, lemon. Brought it home and added lemon, garlic salt, pepper, parmesan, and it still lacked. The linguini noodles were cooked perfect. The Chicken Linguini Alfredo did not taste like any Alfredo we have ever had and was pastie. Very Disappointing. Again, no WOW flavors happening here. The bread saved the day. We loved the traditional Italian music background. But by having T.V's everywhere. It just killed all possibility of recommending this place to anyone. The restaurant itself is cute enough but in a strip mall in Wolf Ranch and somewhat hard to find. It's seat yourself and there's plenty of seating so that's nice. The menu isn't that extensive but they seem to have something for every one. On Wednesday, it's half off wine which is fabulous. However the options are only beer and wine, so this is not a full bar. As for the food, I'd rate it 7/10. The caprese salad appetizer lacked balsamic glaze and was more of a vinaigrette. The butternut squash ravioli with the white sauce was to die for. Would highly recommend this dish. Their risotto was okay but seemed like they didn't let the broth simmer enough over the Arborio rice as there was still some liquid in the bowl and the rice was still too hard. I know I'm being critical but I'm Italian and Italian food is kinda my thing. Overall I'd come back again and try different options. Had a taste for some pasta....but not Olive Garden. Wife was searching while I was headed home from work. We went with the one that had the plates we usually go for. Walked in @ 7 and were greeted immediately by several of the staff. We were walked to the table without a wait. The place was smaller than I thought from driving by. It was very full. Lots of people. Very active conversations. Very "Hustle and Bustle" in the air. Sat and noticed the table wobbled but didn't mention it or even respond in a noticeable way @ all and the waiter noticed and fixed it immediately. WOW! I was impressed. Ordered the appetizer and a couple drinks to start while we looked over the menu. It was a bit much for me...many many pages of options. He returned with the appetizer and we ordered. He gave suggestions and was very friendly. They had trivia on the TV with a barcode you could scan to join and play. Pretty cool! Food came out hot! With a cold side salad that was made with house ranch I believe. Very tasty. The fettuccine was good. Creamy. Chicken was well seasoned. The manicotti was a first for me. I liked it. Very tomato basil based. Good cheese!!!! Overheard the owner talking with some fellow diners nearby and overheard he was from NY and so were they. Very nice convo was had judging by a few words here and there being overheard. Seemed like a great guy and they both said the food they ordered was very good. We ordered a couple cannolis after we finished eating. Very sweet filling. A bit tough to get to without making a big crumby mess everywhere but we managed. Very pleased. Bill was $78 something... Paid and went for a walk to Target to get some groceries and head home. Very nice spot, nice staff, serviceable and authentic Italian dinner for 2. This has got to be the worst excuse for italian food. Goodness gracious!!! Ok, sorry for starting my review like that. Heres my assessment of the situation at this location. Someone told someone that they made good Italian food that didnt really know what real Italian food tastes like. The marinara sauce was a watered down version of the nastiest prego. The meatballs were like natural gas, colorless and flavorless... My wife had the fettuccine Alfredo with mystery meat. I say mystery meat cause it tasted like a grilled piece of cardboard and the sauce was like the took milk and sautéed it with a little cornstarch to thicken up the milk... no salt. I would write more but this place is just not worth the extra effort of me telling someone to go to Carls Jr instead. The girls were nice...ish? We stopped in while doing a bit of shopping, and what a pleasant surprise! I have been looking for an Italian place like this. It is small and quiet, great for a romantic meal! If you have time, stop in or grab it to go! My daughter got the Chicken Pesto Farfella, and my husband and I regretted not getting it. By far the best thing at the table!! Milano Trattoria was a big letdown. The meatballs were clearly frozen you can tell from the weird spongy texture and the off taste. The pasta was overcooked to the point of being mushy, and the sauce had absolutely no flavor,no seasoning, no depth, just red mush on a plate. It's the kind of Italian place that probably impresses people who've never lived anywhere with real Italian-American food, but if you have, this place will just make you upset. read more

I went to eat with my friend last week. I have seen it in the shopping center but never tried it, so we thought we'd give it a go. Unfortunately, I won't be back. When we arrived, we were greeted and asked if we had a reservation. We said we did not, and the hostess/waitress looked a little pensive, and did not immediately seat us but looked around at the tables. I asked if we had to have reservations, and she said, "Oh! No!" And then found us a seat, of which they had many at 5:15pm on Friday. We were seated in the back, and there are only banquette-style tables, which made getting in and out of you are seated next to someone else a bit tricky. It was also strange, because there was a TV on the back wall, and the lady sat next to us was watching it but it looked to me as if she was staring at my friend the entire night, due to everyone being seated on the wall. My glass of wine cost nearly as much as my entree, which feels like a lot, but I don't often drink wine so maybe that's just the reality of it. We were delivered some bread rolls, but when I went to eat one I found it was completely stale; hard as a rock and turned into flaky dust as soon as I tried to split it open. I asked for another basket and they obliged, so that was fine. My Cesar salad was okay, if a bit overdressed. I would ask for dressing on the side next time. My entree was the baked ziti. It looked and smelled delicious, and I will say that the meatballs that I ordered extra, while the portion was small, were tasty. But the pasta was another story. As soon as I tried to pierce the pasta with my fork, it started to fall into shreds. It was either over cooked, frozen and then baked, or maybe just old. It was not enjoyable. My friend ordered the ravioli and enjoyed it, so try that instead. There are lots of other Italian restaurants in the area, so I won't likely visit this establishment again. read more

Went to Milano Trattoria Saturday night for dinner and had a very nice waitress and the food was ok until we got the bill. Two of us asked for some extra red sauce on our food and the waitress said ok. Upon receiving the bill, there were two extra charges for $4.99 each for the extra sauce. The extra sauce did not even fill half of a soup bowl. Asked the waitress about it and she just said extra sauce, extra charge. While the food was ok, not great, customer service was lacking. Solid option for Italian food in Georgetown. We've always had great service, and I personally love their baked pasta dishes - super cheesy and flavorful. Very nice place, came in around 5:30 PM on a Saturday and the place was starting to fill up with blue hairs . We were offered a table by the door but opted to wait a few minutes for a table to open up. The staff offered for us to wait at their bar which was very nice. We had the opportunity to talk with the manager and several employee who were so very friendly. After getting our table, we were brought this delicious fresh hot baked table bread! We had to order another as we devoured the first round. Our table ordered the special seafood risotto with crab meat and prawns, the gnocchi in red sauce, and the spaghetti bolognese... risotto was delicious and cooked Al dente, gnocchi was awesome and the sauce was very good. We had salads, bruschetta, Pizza, a cannoli, and a crepe with cannoli cream. All were oustanding. I wish we had enough time on this visit to give back again and try other dishes.
