This was a very difficult reviews because it involves the food and inappropriate staff. It did smell very inviting from the parking lot so wanted to give it a try. It's a local mom and pop establishment from looking from the outside, but was confirmed clearly it was from staff. Not sure where I want to begin. I'll start with the food. I got the lunch special. 1 slice, 3 knots and a drink. They were "short stocked" on drinks so only had 3 choices. Beverage was in a bottle and was not cold. I was told they had no ice either. I got the mushroom and spinach slice. The toppings and sauce were very good however the crust was black and burnt on the bottom so I just picked off the toppings. The same with the garlic knots too. You can see in the photo too. The marinara dipping sauce was cold and was told they do not do warm dipping sauce. I do believe if the pizza and the knots were not burnt, they would have been enjoyable. I am not sure if management reads this but your staff does like you very much. However, you might want to let them know discussing other employees and past employees love lives, jail records, arrest records, making fun of someone's disabilities is not ok in the workplace let alone with customers in the restaurant. I learned wayyyyy too much about the "person" that just got fired and their age and why they were arrested and closing up your restaurant an hour early. I felt extremely uncomfortable having to listen to this! read more

Former New Yorker, hadn't a New York slice in a long time. Walked in and ordered one simple cheese slice to go. Ate it on the road like a typical New Yorker. Could not believe how good it was! The crust was thin and crisp, and the oil dripping from the bottom. And was told by someone on staff that the water comes from NY, and the recipe has not changed since before the mayor of Hutto took over the business. As I drove home, I struggled to save a piece for my wife to try, but I succeeded. And she was also pleasantly surprised. However, given that she was just in NYC a few days ago, she said it's not as good as the one she tried out there, but if she hadn't tried a slice in NYC recently, she would've said that this one is very good and reminiscent of NYC pizza. This is the first time we come really close. Prior to Anthony's Pizza, we tried Russo's in StoneHill, but this one is much better. Will definitely go back for more, with the family, either to go or eat-in. My only complaint is the price for one simple cheese slice is $4.00 + tax. A legit NYC slice in New York is not selling for $4.00, probably $2.50, but $4.00 is over the top. But if the water truly comes from NY, maybe I could be reasonable. Staff was friendly and informative. The place looked neat and clean. read more

I showed up early and waited around for a bit. Really hoping to get a nice slice of pizza but unfortunately, as other reviews have also stated they are not open when their hours say they are. There were a few other people waiting as well, and we were all super disappointed. I'm going to try again at some point because their pizza does look super delicious but it's really upsetting when businesses are not open during posted hours and there is no other notification flash sign posted saying that they will not be available. Big bummer . read more

I was in the mood for NY style pizza without having to go into Austin to Home Slice or a similar type of pizza joint. I was pleasantly surprised when I found Anthony's Pizza here in Hutto. I had some friends coming and was excited to give them a try. I ordered a half Pepperoni and half Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza pie along with garlic knots. The chicken bacon ranch was a hit with my friends who've never had it. I'm from Brooklyn and that's a standard topping selection at various pizzerias out there . I also liked the bacon chicken ranch highly recommend this topping from here. The pepperoni half wasn't all that however. I'll have to see if the sauce was just off but I was disappointed it. The garlic knots was good I would come back here again especially for the chicken bacon ranch pizza! The owner was there nice guy and good customer service he's also a real NYer from Queens. read more

Their pizza is tasty and the guy at the counter was very kind and attentive. I was told 5:20 for pickup but when I arrived he said it would be 8 more minutes. I think it's because I order my pizza "well done", meaning I like a little more bite to my crust. No big deal on the wait. What was a nice touch was that he offered if I wanted to wait in my car he would bring it to me- I thought that was pretty cool. The prices are a little high but the pizza is HUGE and done right. Give them a try! I did call and no one picked up but I called again and they picked up. So if you don't get an answer on the first ring just wait a couple minutes and call back. It's a small pizza shop and from what I could tell the guy was working solo so I'm sure it gets busy very quickly trying to run front of house and also have pizzas out and fresh for everyone. read more

Anthony's pizza is so good! By far the best pizza north of Austin. Hutto is lucky to have a place like this. The ingredients are high quality, the crust is thin & delicious. Feels like you're in NYC eating an amazing slice. Today, we had the pleasure of trying a cheese pizza and a pepperoni pizza. Both were a nice surprise, because honestly, I thought the only pizza option in Forest Creek/Round Rock/Hutto was Mr. Gattis. Can't wait to try more of Anthony's pizza. This place is a gem. If you haven't tried it yet, you really should! read more

Oh my gosh, SO GOOD!! Under new management, this place has DEFINITELY had a glow up. Owners are super friendly and knowledgeable- and the pizza is ridiculously good! My husband and I shared the lunch special- super reasonably priced - 2 slices and a soda, and we also got a piece of the fresh out of the oven Sicilian pizza because we couldn't resist. Everything was so good! Actually, so good that I ate most of it before I remembered that I wanted to take a picture for the review We will be regulars here for SURE! read more

New ownership and the place is AMAZING! The inside of the restaurant is so cute. The owners are FROM Italy so you can taste the authenticity in the food. It was my first time here so I had a little bit of everything on the menu. Prices are very good- good food, good prices! Coming from a New Yorker, the food is 10/10!! Brings me back home:) the owners are so sweet as well. read more

We found real NY pizza, and I'm hooked. If you been in Hutto for more than 17 years like myself you can truly appreciate really good food. It's absolutely delicious, this restaurant is Hidden in strip center of the Commons in Hutto, Anthony's pizza is what I call "a taste of great food away from home." This small-town, locally owned and operated joint will satisfy your taste buds for sure! The owner himself indeed makes everything from scratch from the sauces to the dough! Giving the cooking this authentic NY pizza flavor! I highly recommend visiting, it's a great family restaurant. Oh! Bonus fun, they have few arcade games for the young kids. read more

Pizza crawl no. 14: Got a Margherita pie for takeout. Their 18" pie is a normal sized pie in NY/NJ, not those little 14" pies that many shops around here sell for almost as much money. What I liked: 18" pie = foldable slices; light, super flavorable sauce and mozz; plenty fresh basil. What I didn't like so much: wayyyy too much cheese (I know there can never be enough cheese, right); not enough sauce (there was a layer of cheese on dough but not enough splashes of that great sauce on top of cheese); a tad too oily from cheese; dough was pretty flat and dense, no air from fermentation so edge was somewhat hard) but undercarriage was actually well done. This was a good pie but not sure I'll order again although older parents did enjoy very much. read more

My wife and I went on a Friday evening after work. Immediately walking in you could tell that the place was hit with a rush. Only 3 employees working at the time and each one of them were very courteous and very friendly. It was obvious that you had to order at the register and not from the table. Even with the rush our food came out delicious. Did it take a little bit to come out, yeah but it's a Friday night and they were slammed. After things calmed down we were approached by one of the employees which turned out to be one of the owners who apologized for the wait and took the time to talk to us. The place was nice and cozy. We know things happen and the food was good so definitely going back. read more

Great little local NYC slice and pie style pizzeria. A few booths on one side, but pickup is more my style here.

Update time: I gave Anthony's another try today..I called about six times (literally) before I was able to get someone on the phone. Once I did, the girl that I was speaking with was nice and told me the wait was about 45 min for 1 pizza, which was fine. I would update to 5 stars but the amount of times I had to call was pretty ridiculous. The pizza was AWESOME. Best za in Hutto, hands down. I was super excited to try this spot out and was disappointed to hear they no longer had slices when I went in. About 6 people behind the counter and no pizza? Nothing in the oven? What are they getting paid to do exactly? Eat the pizza? When told I would have to buy a whole pizza if I wanted any, I left. Change the name on the sign if you're not going to have pizza by the slice. That's just not setting the right expectations and I felt like they were just trying to upsell me. read more

New owners from Sicily took over this week. I was in heaven with a mini square Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. I strongly recommend if you are looking for real Sicilian pizza. read more

Loved this place! My wife introduced me to this place on day and I was not disappointed. Plenty if different and unique options to choose from. Customer service was great. They do dine in (they bring it to you at your table) or you can take out. I personally love that I can stop in here to grab pizza by the slice, especially since my family never agrees on pizza toppings. My only complaint is that the hours of operation tend to be sporadic & no one ever answers the phone if you call ahead to see if they're open. We have stopped by several times when they were supposed to be open, only for them to be closed. read more

Best pizza around for sure!! Owners were amazing, we will definitely go back. Thanks so much for a great date night.

I've lived in Texas for 4 years now and this is the best pizza I've had. As "New York Style" as it gets without being in NYC.

I ordered 3 slices of pizza, a pepperoni roll, and a Mexican coke all for only $15. The slices are big (not gigantic) and I would have been fine with just 2 2 of the slices were a thinner NY style crust and the 3rd slice was a thicker Detroit style crust. Both were very tasty, and I can only imagine they would be even better if I had ordered a whole pizza vs by the slice. The pepperoni roll has potential, but there was not enough filling. It was more bread than anything. read more

After seeing all the reviews and shout outs, we decided to take a drive and check it out. I am really glad we did, great experience! We stopped in and there were a few people waiting, no line. We were able to order right away. We got 4 slices, 1 cheese, 2 pepperoni and 1 Texan. We ordered a Sicilian whole pizza to go. We also grabbed two glass bottle cokes. The pizza came quick, had great flavor and a nice crunch to the crust. The pepperoni was my favorite, although all were really good. The atmosphere reminded me of eat in places when I was growing up, people talking, Pac-Man playing and folks behind the counter calling out the pizzas! I quite enjoyed it. I did also enjoy the great pictures on the way of New York. We tasted the Sicilian a bit later, we just had cheese no toppings, it's super good. The cheese is amazing. I am sure we will be back. read more

We wanted to try New York style pizza but ended up asking for a Calzone as we were not that hungry, but we also added garlic and pepperoni sides which were awesome~! They're pet friendly which is a huge PLUS as long as your dog behaves. Need to try more so I can give a 5 star :) read more

This is my second visit here. Hands down the most authentic NY pizza you can get in Texas. I am an absolute pizza snob. I always have been. The crust is the perfect crunch. The sauce is on point. The cheese pulled off in a gooey line of mozzarella heaven. The owner is so gracious and friendly. The price is on point. The restaurant is spacious to dine in and clean. I've eaten pizza from San Diego to New York so, I consider myself somewhat of a novice pizza connoisseur. This pizza was wonderful! We had 3 different pizzas for our 1st ever order. A combination, ham and pineapple and a pepperoni and olive. The crust was done perfectly, the toppings cooked the way they should be and nice and hot. Definitely a must have if you're in the area. BTW... they also have pizza by the slice if you're on the run... eat in or delivery, either way, you wont be disappointed! read more
