Went there for lunch after hearing so many good things. We went during the soft opening to try out some pizza. Man this place is delicious. I ordered 2 pepperoni slices and wife got 1 cheese pizza and they both were amazing. The pizza passes the cheese stretch test with flying colors and the sauce is robust with so many flavors. When I was done eating the pizza, I immediately wanted more. I will definitely being going back multiple times and cannot wait until they are open fully so that I can go late in the evening. THIS PIZZA IS AUTHENTICALLY NY PIZZA. He even calls them pies! We finally have a great pizza joint in Hutto. C'mon Hutto flock, head over there and have some great 'zza! Highly recommend Anthony's pizza. Been going here for a couple of years. Other pizza places in my Round Rock area are good, but Anthony's is amazing! The pizza crust is chewy yet crispy. This place has good pizza, but it is missing a business manager. Out of ~10 times I have tried to order pizza, I was able to get it twice. Besides being randomly closed, they are always way behind on orders, to the point that they stop accepting orders pretty early in the night. I tried going in person once and they said it would be 3 hours before I could get my pizza. There were two teenagers standing behind the counter with the owner, with a huge stack of orders, but there were no pizzas in the oven and nobody was making a pizza. I suspect the owner struggles with training people and delegation. He makes a good pizza - if he could find someone to run the business, then they'd make a lot more pizza (and money). read more

Have been trying to go to this place forever! The first time we realized they are closed on Sun/Mon, no big deal, our fault. This time I double checked 1/5/2023 before we got the baby in the stroller and walked over because we live in the neighborhood near it. It was 12:11pm when we got there. We were so sad to find the lights all off and door locked. No sign stating why they were closed either. I even checked their Facebook which is not active and no Instagram. It's be nice if they could at least have somewhere regularly updated so people don't waste their time. Hope to try again because we love pizza and it's be a great regular for us. Best pizza I have ever had. I have not been lucky enough to try true NY style pizza before. I understand the hype now....You can taste the quality of the ingredients in this pizza. My friend and I came in on the 4th, were treated very well. We got two slices and ordered a whole pie to go. We chilled inside for about an hour, and played with the pac man console he has in there. (Yes, there is a pac man arcade console, and its low enough for small children to play on). Cesar was kind enough to ask me when I would like my pie made, so by the time we left it would be nice and hot still. Very laid back pizza place. First time eating here but not the last time coming back. I am a major pizza snob especially with myself being from the East Coast growing up on this style of pizza. Let's get into this review. Location: Located on 409 W Front St in Hutto, TX and not the 109 W Front St location Yelp has up. I would know because it pulled me somewhere else. There is a little strip mall with a meat market right at the middle corner. This location was easy to find. Atmosphere: Not a lot of seating space but definitely an open room. This space is good for the perfect get-in-get-the-fuck-out experience. Limited seating and tables is what I meant. Standard pizzeria with pizza smoke in the vincinity. I would say to have more vents to suction that smoke out. Otherwise, this is a very straightforward pizza experience. Similar to NYC pizzerias for sure. Menu: Small menu. Perfect menu in my opinion. Not overbearing nor confusing. You pick what you want and go from there because it is PIZZA. Food: Ordered like 8 slices total. 2 Cheese, 1 Half Texan, 1 Supreme, 3 Sicilians, 1 Bacon Ranch. Also ordered a Pepperoni Roll too. I will tell you right now that this place IS the hype. Keyword "is". That scrumptious bite was there. If you know pizza, you know about the 'bite'. The dough was close to perfect where it was thick enough to not break on itself but thin enough for the bite. I would only say my gripe is that the pizza dough could be a millimeter thinner and it would be pretty much perfect all the way around. Now another big plus was the sauce and cheese used. Close to also perfect. Only gripe? Too much grab on the cheese. Slightly less cheese and again, it would be just perfect. The Sicilian pizzas were absolutely perfect. I couldn't find anything with the Sicilians that I would change. The Half Texan was amazing. The cheese pizzas were great. The bacon ranch was nice too. I wasn't as fond of the Supreme. With all of this being said, officially I will crown Anthony's as the BEST pizza joint in the Austin area. Now I saw people ordering the Hawaiian pizzas and I almost threw the hell up all of the pizzas I ate. For all those sinful Hawaiian pizza lovers, I think that's disgusting. Service: Excellent. They threw in an extra slice of Sicilian. That's love right there. Respect. Value: This place is a major go. You'd be buggin' if you didn't want a good slice of pizza from this joint. This place does it right with great pricing. Best pizza in the Austin area. No questions asked. Homeslice may win with their tenure in the area for a Brooklyn styled pie but Anthony's is a Brooklyn's pie. Also, I read this stupid ass review where one guy complained about too much pepperoni on a pizza. Why is you buggin' for? That's like saying, "Oh I won the lottery but you gave me too much money." I'm not kidding about this place being similar or exactly like a Brooklyn joint either. If you want an NYC pizza, this is the spot to go to. My Rating: 5/5 - No regrets. Will definitely come back. BEST new pizza place in town! I was VERY skeptical when they announced it as NY style, because me and my husband are from the NJ/NY area and really have been missing that style of pizza. Everywhere else we went in Austin area did not measure up. But this place is AWESOME and reminds us of the place we had near our house in NJ. Pizza is AMAZING! Best pizza in the area. I prefer a standard pepperoni pie here, however don't be scared to get adventurous. They get busy on the weekends so you may have to go in to order carry out but it is so so so worth it. It's become a Friday night staple. I really didn't expect much but as soon as I tried it you could tell the ingredients and the crust were far above average. I'd have given them five stars if they did the following: 1) have a delivery option 2) Had wings, it's hard to get good crispy true Buffalo wings around here,that would have knocked it out of the park for me! 3) a more pillowy outer crust would make the pizza PERFECT in my opinion, but cheese and sauce flavor and crust thickness were on point! This is some of the best pizza we have ever had! Authentic New York pizza at its best! Our family has tried all kinds of pizzas in many different places and the pizzas we tried here were exceptional! We love how the pieces are reheated in the oven before being served, which crisps up the bottoms a little. We tried pieces of cheese, pepperoni and sausage, Grandma's pizza, and bacon chicken ranch. We had a hard time deciding which one to order a whole pie of because they each had their own great flavor. The Grandma pizza is our favorite, with the extra sauce and the basil mixed in with the cheese flavors. And we love the thicker crust. And their sausage is phenomenal! We were taken care of by the owner, and he was incredibly friendly and he showcased a great variety of pizza choices! A great place to pick up a few slices to eat there or to take out. My son and I stopped in here on the way back from a football game. They were near closing time and did not have much left by the slice and we didn't want to ask them to cook a whole new pizza so we had limited choices. They reheated a slice of pepperoni, a slice of cheese and a few pepperoni rolls and brought them to us. There was not a fountain drink station, only cans, which is a downside for me. The pizza was just fine, a little on the greasy side, but I would order from here again and get it to go. The pepperoni rolls were good but lacked much substance. The tables were dirty (again, it was near closing time) and they had a pac man game in there that was sooooo loud we had to almost yell at each other. The mom and kids that were playing were cute and she was just trying to entertain them but we could hardly stand it after awhile. All in all not a bad little place.
