    Nutella Calzone

Feb 18 2024 I think we came on an off day back in February as the wait time, service, and food was all a miss. We arrived at our designated pickup time only to find out it wasn't ready. Thankfully there were some seats available while we waited but communication for when our order would be ready was sparse. Finally after over half an hour watching other pizzas go out and even witnessing a pizza get dropped, we received our order. I was so over waiting by this point, especially with a hungry kid and asked if anything could be done for the inconvenience and was given a salad on the house. The mushroom and margherita pizzas we received tasted ok but the crust was a bit charred and a bit thicker in some parts but also floppy. The cheese also was a different texture than what I am used to. The garlic cheese focaccia that we received were a bit of a let down as I tend to like more cheese and garlic but this wasn't the case. The dough used was also very dry and oily. Another letdown was the nutella calzone which I wished was more airy and soft but I think the same dough as the focaccia is used so it was very dry. I did like the Nutella, but I know very few people who aren't a fan. My first experience here wasn't stellar but again it seems like they were struggling. However for what was received I can't say the quality justified the price, each pizza was $16 and the calzone and the 2 smallish garlic focaccia were each $9.99. Overall I'd say this was closer to 2.5 stars but round up since the salad tasted refreshing and the cheese balls were especially yummy with the Balsamic.

This place is tucked away in butter creek, Cedar Park. It is napoletana style pizzas. They individual pizzas and made fresh. Once you go inside, you can already see the pizza ovens, and there are some tables available for dine in as well. The guys who operate the oven are super friendly and helpful. We ordered the pepperoni and the Olivia pizza. I'm gluten intolerant, so I was really afraid of trying this place, but the pies are paper thin, and made with high quality ingredients. Plus it is a long fermentation process, which for me, caused no reaction. I was so happy! The dough is delicious and very light. I could only eat half of mine, and my daughter loved hers as well. We will certainly be back for more soon.

Love their PIZAA. I tried this place on weekday dinner time and didn't find that much crowd. I was little suspicious at first as there was literally no one in there, no to-go orders that I could see and just another family who walked in same time as us. We thought of taking the risk and ordered a vegeterian pizza and it was amazing. First of all, their packaging is unique, at least of all pizza places I have seen. It comes in a cube round box. Crust of the pizza was amazing. It was soft inside and crispy outside. Everything from cheese to veggies was perfect. We ordered the Mon cherry and 2 of us finished it well, without being overloaded. Only suggestion I could give would be have pepper packs and organo prepackaged somewhere where people can pick instead of waiting. I had seen their ad on Instagram before but didn't realize it would be so good. Highly recommend.

Great little place.Part of the magic is that they cook the pizza in a nearly 1000 Deg F oven (the real right way to cook pizza). From order to receiving our freshly cooked Margherita with pepperoni took less than 5 minutes. But even though cook time was very fast, it was also a great pizza. I wish they had Italian Sausage, but oh well. Small, simple place that makes pizza right. We will be back.

Came here on a whim with a friend and I was pleasantly surprised! The restaurant itself was pretty plain with not that many tables and easy view into the kitchen. It was super easy to order and the pizzas come out pretty quickly. And while each one is decently big, it's super thin crust so each pizza works as a personal pizza. I got the mushroom pizza and just based off of the smell alone, I knew it would be good. It had a very truffle-y smell and it was delicious. While being thin, the pizza still has a good bite and isn't too dry.

Nice guys and very good pizza! Nothing to complain about. Ambiance is simple but everything is clean. Great casual place to dine in at or take to go. Will be back over and over again!

A hidden gem. For all pizza lovers this place has a really good Italian style pizza that they serve with spicy oil. We tried mon cherrie and margarita pizza and both were made with fresh ingredients, thin and delicious. All pizzas are 12 inches so just 1 size. The place can use a little makeover though to look more inviting. But The food is good and I do recommend.

Absolutely loved this pizza! Delicious Neopolitan style pizza right in cedar park. Who would have thought?! The inside is nothing to write home about and there was only one person so it took a few minutes. Praise that man though! He was taking orders, making pizzas, answering the phone and still gracious and helpful to everyone who came in the door! The pizzas were delicious! Definitely will be coming back!

Are you in search of your next new favorite pizza spot in ATX? Then stop right there because you've just found it before trying it. You're in for a surprise with this one. Pizza tova is miles ahead of most pizza joints in Austin and it's not even close. This place not only just makes pizza, but make culinary art with every pie created. From the crust to the ingredients used, it's a no brained why pizza tova is phenomenal. I understand there aren't any "meat" options, but you will NOT be left disappointed or left asking for more. The spot is a bit hidden, but that's what makes it a hidden gem. It's quietly tucked into a shopping plaza, but once found you'll be greeted with warm smiles and friendly folks behind the counter. I recommend anything and everything on the menu. Extremely delicious and meticulously made as you order. You will be blown away and I can back that statement up 1000%. Can't wait to see future menu options and growth for pizza tova. 11/10 overall!

Great crust, a lot of love put into it that you can taste. Great packaging, too. The chili evoo was the cherry on top - perfect hit of rich/spicy

Called in Pizza for pickup. It was ready on time, and the to go box was unique. Made from recyclable cardboard. The pizza was delicious and the crust was magnificent. Don't miss Pizza Tova! Try it you will not be disappointed.

I must say, quality pizza always tastes much better fresh than take-out or delivery. I did order takeout because my mom was craving some pizza, but I could still taste the quality of this pizza. The dough in particular stands out - fluffy, chewy, a little crispy at parts, really excellent bread. You can taste it in the crust, and in the garlic cheese focaccia bread as well. The ingredients taste fresh. The pizza was a little floppy by the time I got home, would've been better if eaten right out of the oven. But the flavor is good, and I also like that they provide chili oil to dip - it brings a different spicy dimension than the usual chili flakes. Overall, great spot for a little higher quality pizza - would recommend eating it as soon as you can instead of letting it sit (or potentially re-crisping it in the oven or on a pan).

For almost $20 bucks how big are the pizzas? Can I feed two to three people with that pricing?

Each Pizza is 12 inch and has 6 slices. Usually 3 people will share 2 Pies.

Our server was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the place has a cool little vibe that feels relaxed but still energetic. We got there around 11:00, and by 11:15 or 11:20 the place was already lively and noisy, which honestly tells you people know where the good pizza is. I had the House salad with Caesar dressing, and it was fresh and loaded with tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, mushrooms, black olives, mozzarella, and crunchy garlic croutons. For pizza, I ordered the City Pie, and those toppings were giving -- pepperoni, Italian sausage, spinach, mushrooms, onions, black olives, and bell peppers. I'm not usually a huge fan of super thin crust pizza, but this one worked because the toppings and flavor carried every bite. The girls ordered the Queen Margherita, and it looked just as good as it sounds with fresh mozzarella, Roma tomatoes, Parmesan-Reggiano, and basil. We also tried one of the house sodas, and it was really, really good. Everything paired together perfectly. Definitely a spot I'd go back to again.

I may visit Obsidian Brewery time after time after time after time and never find out how their beer is. This is because a) They have an outstanding bar and b) They have an outstanding kitchen. For me, beer is a hardship beverage you drink when there is nothing else better available. When I go to a bar, I can sometimes be looking for mix-mastering. Usually I am looking for outstanding top of the line hard spirits. * * * When I walked into Obsidian, I looked at their bar. It was love at first sight. In front of me were twenty yards of three shelves of the most wonderful bottles I could possibly imagine. Half of them I had never heard of before. * * * I settled on a Buddha's Hand Gin. Buddha and Gin rarely appear in the same sentence Never mind the same label on a bottle. I ordered it straight up. I went immediately to Nirvana. Forget the meditation and the austerities. The Buddha's Hand Gin was as good as a trip to the Himalayas. Buddha's Hand is an obscure citrus fruit that grows multiple protuberances the way some horseradishes do. It is golden and looks like a hand. Ergo the name. The Buddha's Hand Gin is a citrus tinged gin with an edge more like orange zest than like orange juice. The additional botanicals make it strong, attention grabbing, fruity and yet combative. I was absolutely fascinated. Note that Buddha's Hand Gin is only one of the many items they have to explore there. I am totally ready to do more exploring. * * * The kitchen at Obsidian is also of distinction. The savvy local guide I came with adored his Thai Curry Wood Fired Rings. I went with a Cheesy Bread. This is open-faced grilled cheese on a thick slice of bread the size of a shoebox, with a wonderful homemade tomato sauce on about 1/3 of it. It is the best cheese pizza you have ever had. It is what cheese pizza is supposed to be if you don't use the standard canned ingredients that institutional providers sell to Domino's. I was as in love with my cheese bread as I was with my citrus gin. * * * The company was also outstanding. Which is just as well because Obsidian is a social place. Lots of Leanderthals having a fine time in couples and groups. This is not a loner's loser bar. You know - the dark rooms with misfits drinking their sixth beer while watching TV. This is a good folks good times full-of-sunlight place. So you definitely want to come with good folks. * * * Good food, good bottles, good people. And if you are feeling chipper, You can even have a homemade beer to celebrate.
