Pizza Roma -- I live nearby and tried it about a year ago; nothing memorable. Recently drove past, noticed a banner about a new owner, and decided to give it another shot -- ordered delivery. I was pleasantly surprised. The crust is thin, crispy on the edges and soft in the middle -- exactly how it should be. The toppings are fresh, generous, and well-balanced without being overdone. You can tell there are no compromises on ingredients. The pizza arrived hot and neatly packed. The second time I stopped in to pick up an order on my way home. While waiting, I figured out why the quality had changed so much: the owner works in the kitchen himself and oversees every step of the process. I love to try new places but when I want to get a pizza I know is good I come back to this place. I do the create my own and the red sauce with hamburger is my favorite. They give plenty of hamburger, the ratio of meat to cheese and sauce is excellent. I tried the Alfredo with hamburger which was also very tasty. Once I added meatball. Neighborhood mom and pop kinda pizza joint and it's fantastic. Funny friendly staff, orders are on time and the food is great. More or less just room for take out only but it's hot and fresh. Tried a pepperoni pizza and a house pie. I love the fact that they use thicker cut pep and while it doesn't quite create the pepperoni cup exp it does provide plenty of salty porky goodness. The house pie is really good: slices of delectable meatball, onions and jalepenos that cut through the grease all on Alfredo sauce crust. We visited late one evening a couple weeks ago. It was about an hour and a half before closing but we didn't expect for our order to take as long as it did. From the point when I called in our order about a full hour of waiting passed. When cashing out the bill was higher than I expected so I asked about it and that's when I was told they changed some of their prices but it wasn't yet reflected on their menu. The food unfortunately wasn't all that good. We got Spaghetti and Meatballs, Pesto Chicken and Chicken Alfredo which all came with Garlic Bread and Salads. The Garlic Bread was burnt, the pasta was a bit hard and the protein was scarce. However, their portions were quite generous and the salads were good. Eh, if you're out of options, this is a place to find food. It's pretty much carry out only. You can place an order online, or be old school and phone it in. They will tell you the order will be like 15 mins, but then you'll get there and hurry up and wait. The wait time averages about double what they quoted you (or even longer). I ordered a pasta dish from here, and it was an occasion where there were not many other food places still open. Was just glad to be able to pick up a hot meal. Got my food and headed home. The pasta I ordered was super bland and they dumped WAY too much sauce onto it. The meatballs were too chewy. Just had lack of flavor overall. Overall, was not impressed. Top-notch service, Very reasonable prices, Excellent cheese pizza and cheese garlic bread with marinara. I ordered a late night delivery as they were one of the few places still open. I love pizza it's one of my favorite foods. I absolutely loved the pizza and cheese garlic bread. I don't know where you get your cheese and what spices you put in the pizza, but it really made my day! I grew up in Wisconsin and I'm your typical cheese head connoisseur. I decided to order again this past week and order the baklava, but called me and let me know they were out. No worries. I told them it was fine and that I didn't want any substitute. I never write reviews typically unless the food is really good. This is one hell of an outlier. Between my experience after the fact with the owner berating me over the phone for my attempt in explaining why I didn't like the food (which he deemed insufficient) and the quality, two stars is a generous review. This was my first time here. While the owner is and was incredibly nice (initially), the pizza itself is one grease-coated disaster. It does pain me to say this, but, ultimately, I have never asked for a refund in my life. I just requested one through Slice (THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT), and Slice should be getting in touch with the owner tomorrow. If he refuses to issue a refund, which I detail below as a serious possibility, I will document that for other Yelpers as well. i have rated this establishment one star beyond what I already documented for multiple reasons. Unfortunately, the food is problematic in many ways. I ordered the mozzarella bread, which is a spin off of cheesy bread. It tasted like a soggy, oil, infused mush of bread. Again, because the owner was really nice initially, I was really hoping that my experience would be good. I am from Chicago, and my expectations for thin, New York style, and deep dish remain incredibly high. On top of that, the mozzarella bread came with the sauce, a sauce that tasted like water dipped in tomatoes. The dipping sauce at dominos is significantly superior. Nonetheless, the food was inedible after one bite. Moving onto the pizza, as soon as I tried picking a slice up, all the cheese and toppings slid off, and I was left with bread and crust. The toppings were extremely loose to the point where it was impossible to eat my slice. I managed, but the first slice I tried was the last slice I ate the cheese, quality was really poor, and just like its bread counterpart, there was an immense amount of oil and grease. Easily the greasy ass pizza I have ever eaten in my life besides little Caesars. Needless to say that, after trying one slice, I was not enthused. I will give high marks on the crust, but the toppings and the actual slice itself were abysmal. my review might seem harsh, if not, for the fact that when I called the manager and explained what I thought was wrong, and why I did not have a good experience, which I struggle to communicate verbally, because I have a disability, the owner repeatedly referred to me as dude and said, " I don't really know what you don't like about it dude. I don't think slice (the company that I ordered with) is going to refund you." in my experience, typically good owners of businesses offer a refund immediately and say I'm sorry if a customer has a poor experience. So I called Slice, and the customer representative was extremely helpful and forthright. She basically said that the owner was wrong, and that an owner must authorize a refund to Slice. So, if that doesn't happen, I will write another review detailing the owner's immense dishonesty, and disrespect toward a fellow customer's experience. Extremely disappointing. read more

My family and I are AVID pizza eaters and my dad brought three pizzas from Austin to Alaska for us to try and we re-baked them as they were frozen, and they were delicious!
