I tried their calzone tonight and was blown away!!! the surface of the calzone had Parmesan baked in it, and it had fantastic flavor!! they were very generous with their toppings, and I will definitely be incorporating into my meal regimen!! Great flavor and fed 2 people with it! It's great to have a pizza shop right around the corner from us that will be my go to going forward !! read more

I went by a suggested build your own red sauce ground beef combo cause it said the ratio was good... It wasn't. Mediocre crust. Flavor standard good. This is one of those ratings when you wonder where those that leave 4+ reviews grew up eating pizza. I did get delivery. But really good pizza that shouldn't matter. read more

Decent but nothing to write home about. It's on par with the kind of pizza you remember them giving you when you're in high school at a pizza party. We got a cheese and a pesto pizza. The pesto pizza was actually pretty good. If I ever did order again, I'd probably get that, but the prices are a bit high for the quality you're getting. If you want higher quality for roughly the same amount of money, go to home slice. The pizza felt a bit light when we picked it up, the dough is definitely on the thinner side, so not very bread-y. read more

Always loved their pizza. They are under new management and was very disappointed in my margarhita pizza. Sauce was very sweet and there were spoonfuls of it randomly put on top of the pizza. I am not sure I will go back. Just wasn't the Pizza Roma I know. read more

Among the worst I've ever had. Terrible toppings, worse pizza. Throwing away leftovers read more

Pizza Roma - Junk, throwing all away - Pizza Near Me - Austin, Texas

Pizza Roma -- I live nearby and tried it about a year ago; nothing memorable. Recently drove past, noticed a banner about a new owner, and decided to give it another shot -- ordered delivery. I was pleasantly surprised. The crust is thin, crispy on the edges and soft in the middle -- exactly how it should be. The toppings are fresh, generous, and well-balanced without being overdone. You can tell there are no compromises on ingredients. The pizza arrived hot and neatly packed. The second time I stopped in to pick up an order on my way home. While waiting, I figured out why the quality had changed so much: the owner works in the kitchen himself and oversees every step of the process. People who put their heart into what they do deserve to be supported -- which is exactly why I'm writing this review. Highly recommend. You won't regret it. read more

Pizzas are very salty. I couldn't even eat one piece. I think if it weren't so salty, I would have loved it.

I love to try new places but when I want to get a pizza I know is good I come back to this place. I do the create my own and the red sauce with hamburger is my favorite. They give plenty of hamburger, the ratio of meat to cheese and sauce is excellent. I tried the Alfredo with hamburger which was also very tasty. Once I added meatball. The beef meatball tasted very good. I highly recommend this place. Great for late night cravings as they close at 1 am. read more

We visited late one evening a couple weeks ago. It was about an hour and a half before closing but we didn't expect for our order to take as long as it did. From the point when I called in our order about a full hour of waiting passed. When cashing out the bill was higher than I expected so I asked about it and that's when I was told they changed some of their prices but it wasn't yet reflected on their menu. The food unfortunately wasn't all that good. We got Spaghetti and Meatballs, Pesto Chicken and Chicken Alfredo which all came with Garlic Bread and Salads. The Garlic Bread was burnt, the pasta was a bit hard and the protein was scarce. However, their portions were quite generous and the salads were good. Despite this I would try another menu option if I'm in the area again... read more

Neighborhood mom and pop kinda pizza joint and it's fantastic. Funny friendly staff, orders are on time and the food is great. More or less just room for take out only but it's hot and fresh. Tried a pepperoni pizza and a house pie. I love the fact that they use thicker cut pep and while it doesn't quite create the pepperoni cup exp it does provide plenty of salty porky goodness. The house pie is really good: slices of delectable meatball, onions and jalepenos that cut through the grease all on Alfredo sauce crust. Most unique pie I've had in a while but definitely one of the best. Come support them! read more

amazing food, everything was great the pizza the topping and the pizza rolls, the veggies were super fresh. 10/10

We like the chef's pizza and pepperoni rolls. I've ordered rolls all over Austin and these are my favorite. Everything here is flavorful. But as other reviewer mentioned - it can be hit or miss when it comes to being in time with the order. I don't like the ranch dressing. Pizza is New York style. read more

Eh, if you're out of options, this is a place to find food. It's pretty much carry out only. You can place an order online, or be old school and phone it in. They will tell you the order will be like 15 mins, but then you'll get there and hurry up and wait. The wait time averages about double what they quoted you (or even longer). I ordered a pasta dish from here, and it was an occasion where there were not many other food places still open. Was just glad to be able to pick up a hot meal. Got my food and headed home. The pasta I ordered was super bland and they dumped WAY too much sauce onto it. The meatballs were too chewy. Just had lack of flavor overall. Overall, was not impressed. It was something to put in my belly, but definitely could have been better. Choose this place at your own risk. I'm not sure if the pizzas are any better. Disappointing. read more

Give the house pizza a try! Can't go wrong though: always hot and GREAT quality. Sides and salads are also solid! Please support this family owned business! read more

It's the best pizza I have had in a long time!! Thin crust and always so fresh!! Prices are good as well!

First time trying this place out and I was not disappointed. I ordered a large cheese pizza that was very reasonably priced. It's a thinner crust with with flavorful cheese and a tasty sauce. I'd recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for good pizza at a good price. Friendly customer service to top things off. read more

Pizza Roma - Large cheese pizza with side of marinara - Pizza Near Me - Austin, Texas

decent food for price point, their timelines are a joke though or they are just very forgetful and forget to actually process the order... (every time?) or not trusting of customers... actually showing up to pick up food.... as it stands i'm pretty sure they just start making the food once you arrive and pay... my advice, if they say 15/20 show up 45/55min later. and be prepared to wait. it's kinda a running joke, in our household- we've even tested it tonight , they said 25m we showed up 40m later and they said another 10m, which turned out to be another 20 Probly won't return after this. there's other in the neighborhood. read more

Absolutely delicious. I've passed this place for 4 years and tonight I finally tried it. Highly underrated assuming you like a greasier NY style pizza. It's very good. Fresh. Huge salads. Nice people and open late. I like Saccones but this is pretty damn good. Please add banana peppers to the menu! read more

This is the best pizza I've ever had. Thank you for the life changing experience. Haven't tried the fettuccine Alfredo yet, but I'm sure it won't disappoint. Forget dominos, Pizza Hut, papa John's. This is the spot y'all. read more

Ordered online and said 20 minute wait. Arrived at store and waited a total of 35 mins for pizza. Get all the way home and the pizza was prepared wrong. Was told a new menu is coming and in store and online menus are incorrect. Probably won't order here again. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this amazing local pizza shop. From appetizers to pizza and even dessert everything is top notch. The Mozzarella Sticks are some of the best I've ever had. The cheese is so melty and the breading is fried to perfection. Their chicken alfredo pizza is a unique twist on two Italian staples and is the best combination since peanut butter and jelly! DO NOT forget to get a cannoli or baklava - they are the perfect bow on the end of a gift of a meal. You can't miss this amazing locally owned small business. read more

We tried this tonight.. I don't relish in saying this, but it was unfortunately the worst pizza I've had. Again, I don't enjoy that. I don't mean the worst pizza in terms of it was soggy, cold, or took too long. It was undeniably unenjoyable compared to your larger name brands like Pizza Hut, Papa John's, etc.. Overall, the sauce was flavorless, indicative of water. The crust was soggy. The pizza arrived cold. No need to beat a dead horse. Just not good pizza. read more

My first time at Pizza Roma. I had a Roma Supreme Pizza and a Calzone. So good, the cheese in the Calzone was fresh and delicious. The flavor of both was ON POINT. Definitely returning to support this mom and pop local business! read more

This pizza place was so delicious. The lady that owns it was very personable. It may cost slightly more than the franchise pizza places but it's worth it and it taste much better. Amazing! read more

The best thin crust pizza in Austin. I have been ordering pizza here for over a year and have always been impressed by the flavor of the pizza. The people who work here are very friendly. The bad reviews that I have seen for Pizza Roma must own a pizza joint and are trying to steal the business. read more

Top-notch service, Very reasonable prices, Excellent cheese pizza and cheese garlic bread with marinara. I ordered a late night delivery as they were one of the few places still open. I love pizza it's one of my favorite foods. I absolutely loved the pizza and cheese garlic bread. I don't know where you get your cheese and what spices you put in the pizza, but it really made my day! I grew up in Wisconsin and I'm your typical cheese head connoisseur. The taste of the cheese exceeded my expectations. Great job! You definitely have a repeat customer here. Thank you! read more

Very disappointed in the pizza tonight. We ordered the All Meat Pizza and while we really wanted to like it, it was just okay...nothing special. The meat didn't have a lot flavor, especially the ham. With so many pizza options in Austin, we likely won't be going back to Pizza Roma. read more

I certainly wanted to like this place. I love to support local and family owned spots. But this couple hasn't seemed ready in the two times I've been. Between the two orders I've made they have forgot a salad, failed to inform me that the pasta dish was not available until I was walking out with the food, and messed up a special order on a build my own pizza. 3 strikes, I'm out. Good luck... hope yall can figure it out. read more

I ordered a pizza from here a while back and it was delicious, albeit with the cheese falling off WAY too easily. I decided to order again this past week and order the baklava, but called me and let me know they were out. No worries. I told them it was fine and that I didn't want any substitute. Low and behold, I find on my receipt a charge for a chocolate cake. I know it's petty and simple, but for someone like me who is struggling to pay my bills each month and can barely afford to eat at even a place like this, every singe cent counts. Wish I could have been treated like a customer and not a cash grab. read more

The amazing artisan pizza they turn out is a grand treat. Fresh ingredients, great menu, & a crust to die for. Your taste buds will thank you! I've got to say it's one of the best pizzas I've ever tried! My family and I are AVID pizza eaters and my dad brought three pizzas from Austin to Alaska for us to try and we re-baked them as they were frozen, and they were delicious! Let me say, the dough was the perfect texture. The toppings were just the right amount of cheese and sauce; and the crust was nice and crispy! Imagine eating them fresh out of the oven!!!! read more

I never write reviews typically unless the food is really good. This is one hell of an outlier. Between my experience after the fact with the owner berating me over the phone for my attempt in explaining why I didn't like the food (which he deemed insufficient) and the quality, two stars is a generous review. This was my first time here. While the owner is and was incredibly nice (initially), the pizza itself is one grease-coated disaster. It does pain me to say this, but, ultimately, I have never asked for a refund in my life. I just requested one through Slice (THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT), and Slice should be getting in touch with the owner tomorrow. If he refuses to issue a refund, which I detail below as a serious possibility, I will document that for other Yelpers as well. i have rated this establishment one star beyond what I already documented for multiple reasons. Unfortunately, the food is problematic in many ways. I ordered the mozzarella bread, which is a spin off of cheesy bread. It tasted like a soggy, oil, infused mush of bread. Again, because the owner was really nice initially, I was really hoping that my experience would be good. I am from Chicago, and my expectations for thin, New York style, and deep dish remain incredibly high. On top of that, the mozzarella bread came with the sauce, a sauce that tasted like water dipped in tomatoes. The dipping sauce at dominos is significantly superior. Nonetheless, the food was inedible after one bite. Moving onto the pizza, as soon as I tried picking a slice up, all the cheese and toppings slid off, and I was left with bread and crust. The toppings were extremely loose to the point where it was impossible to eat my slice. I managed, but the first slice I tried was the last slice I ate the cheese, quality was really poor, and just like its bread counterpart, there was an immense amount of oil and grease. Easily the greasy ass pizza I have ever eaten in my life besides little Caesars. Needless to say that, after trying one slice, I was not enthused. I will give high marks on the crust, but the toppings and the actual slice itself were abysmal. my review might seem harsh, if not, for the fact that when I called the manager and explained what I thought was wrong, and why I did not have a good experience, which I struggle to communicate verbally, because I have a disability, the owner repeatedly referred to me as dude and said, " I don't really know what you don't like about it dude. I don't think slice (the company that I ordered with) is going to refund you." in my experience, typically good owners of businesses offer a refund immediately and say I'm sorry if a customer has a poor experience. So I called Slice, and the customer representative was extremely helpful and forthright. She basically said that the owner was wrong, and that an owner must authorize a refund to Slice. So, if that doesn't happen, I will write another review detailing the owner's immense dishonesty, and disrespect toward a fellow customer's experience. Extremely disappointing. read more
