I got a medium #8 pizza (pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, and black olives) and I can tell you it's one of the best things I've had in a very, very long time. My fresh limeade washed it down real good and my friends loved their Italian Assorted sandwich as well - they are regulars and get the same thing every time because they love it so much. It would be a disservice to yourself to live in or visit Austin and never grab a meal here. Service is fast, staff are super friendly, and everything tastes like it's made with love.

While working, we did a lunch delivery from UberEats for Home Slice Pizza. White Pie With Spinach: Extra virgin olive oil, garlic, Mozzarella, Ricotta, provolone & Romano. Sorry, no substitutions or modifications to the specially priced "Tried and True" pies. This white pie was so delicious! Supreme: Pepperoni, Sausage, Green Peppers, Mushrooms, Onions, and Black Olives. Buffalo Wings: The crispiest wings around, bathed in Frank's Red Hot sauce and butter just like they do it at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo. Comes with blue cheese dressing and celery. BYO Pizza with pepperoni, italian sausage, and meatball. This was my favorite overall. All the pizzas had that nice thin crust but crisp texture and the ingredients were fresh. Support your local business.

Excellent service. The garlic knots and house salad were delicious. We got a Canoli and shared it. I was not a fan of the 99 cent surcharge for the ranch dressing. The Caesar dressing was too spicy.

Home Slice never misses. Tonight we had the classic Italian sub and it was outstanding. Served on their in-house baked sesame roll, toasted perfectly and packed with salami, capicola, ham, provolone, and fresh vegetables. The price might give you a little sticker shock at first, but it was absolutely worth it. The sandwich was massive and easily fed both my son and me. He ate about 3/4 of it and I still walked away full after eating my portion. Photographic evidence of bar dining, casual dining, outside seating and dine in options. Easy 5 stars again.

Home Slice Pizza delivers on quality across the board. The pies were excellent--nice crispy crust with great flavor in every bite. Service was solid, and the atmosphere made it an easy place to relax and enjoy a meal. They also have a good variety of brews on tap, which pairs perfectly with the pizza. Don't skip the meatball sub--it's substantial and just as satisfying as the pies. Overall, a great spot I'd gladly come back to.

Stopped by for lunch and was greeted by a friendly face. I didn't make it inside as I saw they had a walk up order window outside. Ordering was quick and easy and the gentleman who took my order offered me complimentary water which was perfect for this hot day. The pizza was reasonably priced and I was left wishing I'd ordered a second slice . The pizza tasted light and fresh, not too greasy and it was a decent size! Looking forward to coming back to enjoy the chill vibes again and check out inside!

Call it Home Slice Sub because it's that good! My go to: Italian Assorted. I cannot pin point what makes it that delicious!? Shredded lettuce, tomatoes, deli, provolone cheese, oil, vinegar with toasted bread equal perfection. Half sub is plenty filling so well worth the price. I'd prefer to dine in since the bread is still toasty and crispy, but if you have to take out, just know that it doesn't get soggy. I always sit in the takeout area, or outside. No service so just in and out. And if the staff are available, they will for sure check in on you, which is always appreciated!

Home Slice Pizza on S. Congress is a popular Austin spot known for its New York-style, thin-crust pizza. Even if you're not a pizza enthusiast (like us), their crisp-yet-chewy slices are worth trying. The restaurant was busy with both locals and tourists. The staff was notably energetic and friendly as they called customers names for both on-site dining and "to go" orders. Home Slice Pizza dough is made from water, salt, olive oil, yeast, and flour, then fermented for 72 hours for consistency. Toppings include options like fresh basil, black and green olives, mushrooms, onions, pepperoni, sausage, extra cheese, and more, with premium toppings such as fried eggplant, ricotta, artichoke hearts, meatballs, and vegan cheese available for an additional charge. We had the Margherita pizza, which was good and not overly filling. Super busy environment...

Forever an Austin staple. This last round we skipped the pizza for the half Caesar salad and the half Italian sandwich. It was enough for two to share I know the sticker shock hurts if you see the whole sandwich ($22!!) but I'm telling you.. the hype is worth it.

We loved everything about this Location - starting with your wonderful staff. Gracie and Ari made us feel right at home with their exceptional and friendly service!! They made us feel like VIPs!!! And then, came the pizza - JUST WOW!! We tried the eggplant and the classic Pepperoni & Mushroom which were equally delicious!! How do you even make that crust so perfectly crispy!! The garlic knots with marinara were pillowy soft too! For Mom's birthday they brought out a slice of cheesecake which was amazing! Thank you for a wonderful meal in Austin!! We will be back before we fy back to LA for sure!!!

Dec 13, 2025 review: ---- This is one of those late night cravings place but with the good food quality. They have 2-3 options for vegetarian in their slice options. Super easy to order. You can just order through the window, no need to walk inside restaurant. Plenty of seating both outside and inside. Outside is also huge with place to sit in front, side and back area. Full menu is also available with salad, calzone, full size pizza portions. 1-2 pizza slice maybe a enough for one person depending on how hungry you are. It's decent size pie. They do have chilli flakes and oregano (which I hardly find at any pizza place). Overall really good place to keep in mind if you have late night cravings for pizza.

We loved it so much we got Home Slice again for a party later that night.

Home Slice Pizza in Austin is officially the best pizza I've ever had, and I'm not being dramatic. The slices are MASSIVE, like "you have to fold it or you're going to wear it" huge. The crust had that perfect chew, and it was just straight up great pizza. We ate there and loved it so much that later that night we threw a little party and ordered Home Slice (again) delivered, and it still hit just as hard the second time! Everyone at the party loved it. Don't skip dessert! Their cookie was legit, so soft and loaded with chocolate chunks. For some reason, an awesome cookie paired with the best pizza is an elite combo. The dine in area isn't huge, but they're always busy because they're that good, and it's worth the wait. Sitting inside isn't impossible though, and it has a really cute old-school pizzeria vibe that feels authentic (not in a gross way). The staff is INCREDIBLY nice too and went out of their way for me multiple times, which just made me love the place even more. If you're in Austin, this is a must. Go hungry, plan on leftovers, and accept that folding your slice is part of the experience. Easy 5 stars from me.

Home Slice gets a lot of hype in Austin but I truly believe it really is that good... it's some of the best NY style pizza you can get here in Austin and the subs are PHENOMENAL! They're open late, the pricing is reasonable, and the portion size is fantastic! FAST FACTS: * Parking - small lot in front of the building with some neighborhood parking nearby(can be tricky if they're busy) * Online ordering - available for pickup on their website * Pizza available by the slice or pie * Counter to the left when you enter for pickup orders and pizza by the slice SERVICE - We arrived at 9:20 pm on a Saturday night (on their 20th birthday celebration) and were seated right away. They were busy but the service was great... our server Nate took care of us from start to finish and made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered everything at once and they brought out the 2 slices first (about 20 minutes after ordering) followed by the subs (10 minutes later). PRICING - The total was $61.98 after tax ($4.73) but before tip for an iced tea ($3.50), pepperoni slice ($4.75), white pie with spinach slice ($5), whole meatball sub ($22) and whole Italian sub ($22). At first, $22 for a sub might sound steep but they are MASSIVE... two people could split a sub and be good to go! I think the pricing is reasonable for the portion size. PEPPERONI SLICE (8/10) - Classic NY style and it's done right... the crust is what makes it! It's foldable but not floppy and the pepperoni are crispy but not burnt. It's a great slice of pizza! I'd order this again. WHITE PIE WITH SPINACH SLICE (7/10) - This was one of the daily offerings for slices and I wanted to try something different... it was super cheesy and good! I'd probably get a different slice next time but I'm happy I tried it. ITALIAN SUB (8/10) - First of all, it's MASSIVE! The sesame seed bun is different but it works! There's also mayo on it which I really enjoyed. This is one of the best Italian subs I've had, especially in Austin. I'd order this again. MEATBALL SUB (8/10) - Again, It's MASSIVE. It's loaded from the top so it holds together pretty well. The meatballs are flavorful and juicy, it has the right amount of marinara sauce, and the cheese is super melty. Just like with the Italian subs, it's one of my favorite meatball subs here in Austin. I'd order this again. This was my second time trying this Home Slice location and I've also been to the SoCo location... both are great but this one is less busy. I'll definitely be back when I want NY style pizza or a massive sub (especially late) and would recommend it to others. Don't be afraid to get more food than you think you'll eat and take it home (both the pizza and subs reheat well and don't get soggy)!

I've spent my life chasing the perfect crust, comparing everything from the legendary pie shops in Manhattan to the pristine corner slices in Pittsburgh. I didn't think Austin could pull off truly authentic pizza. I was dead wrong. Baldinucci is absolute sorcery. The moment I took a bite of their Roman-style pizza, I was instantly thrown back to the tiny, narrow pizzerias I stumbled into in Italy. It has that exact, hyper-specific airy crunch that is so incredibly hard to replicate outside of Europe. The dough is clearly fermented with patience. It's light, shatteringly crisp on the bottom, and has those beautiful, irregular air pockets that give it a pillowy structure without ever feeling heavy. Let's talk about the sauce, because that's where most places fail. It isn't that sugary, paste-heavy stuff you find at standard joints. It is vibrant, bright, and tastes intensely of sun-ripened tomatoes and clean olive oil. It is remarkably fresco; striking that perfect balance where the acidity cuts through the richness of the cheese without overwhelming the palate. The vibe inside the West Lake spot is casual and unpretentious, but they take their craft seriously. Food service is streamlined and efficient; you order at the counter, and they pop the slices back into the oven so they land at your table screaming hot. The staff is genuinely proud of what they're slinging, and they should be. If you are an East Coast transplant drowning in a sea of mediocre pies, do yourself a favor and get over to West Lake. The Game Changer cheesesteak is clearly the centerpiece of the menu, combining Beyond Meat with vegan cheese in a monstrous, meaty sandwich. I have to say that the addition of ketchup was a bit odd, and could have been better either substituted with marinara or omitted, but I still polished off my half of this beast all the same. The mushroom pizza pockets were faultless, if you're in more of a snacking mood. Just ask to swap the ricotta with vegan cheese and you'll be treated to umami shrooms sauteed with a touch of balsamic, wrapped in golden dough, and generously portioned at that. Happy hour is clearly the time to visit, with all pizzas clocking in at $10, and select drinks at $5. I'll have to time out my next visit better to take advantage.

The HH pizza is a steal. Quality and ingredients and size. All of the above. Check. And can't beat it at HH prices. The Philly Cheesesteak seemed a one off on the menu. Not gonna lie the pictured advertisements had me worried. It looked like the bread was going to be thick and hard. And the meat looked different. But guys....this Philly Cheesetake is the best I've had in years. Granted I probably haven't had any in years but it is bomb. The bread rose to the occasion (pun intended) and was so soft and mashable. If you're a bread snob you know what I mean. And the inside itself was so flavorful and cheesy. My husband even had a hard time finishing it because it was a good serving. Job well done Grata's. We will be and have been back.
