Such a cute place with a nice, relaxing ambience. The lady taking our order was super nice and recommended a few amazing options. I had the turkey and Gruyère sandwich with tomato basil soup as a side and a mocha. Everything was delicious! Such a vibe The parking lot is shared with a few other businesses, but it's a pretty nice sized lot with at least 10 + spots for parking. read more

Such a great neighborhood deli! Lots of options for sandwiches as well as salads and soups. The place has a nice atmosphere and there is a small stage for live music. I tried the "Rachel" turkey sandwich, which is delicious. Toasted with so much flavor! I also tried the buffalo cauliflower as a side dish. So yummy! The staff are so nice and helpful. Just a great place to eat in or pick up something to go! read more

Not bad sandwich shop. Much better than others. Has a nice New York deli vibe. My employees and I were driving back from college station and were nice enough to drop me off before heading to the airport. They wanted to grab a sandwich to go. I took them here and were very happy with the many great options including veggie options. Parking was not fun but other than that nice place. read more

A little pricey, but it's an Austin staple. I've been coming here for over a decade! My favorite item is The Rachel and a tomato basil soup. You won't regret it! read more

First time here and it was so great! Cozy little joint with ample seating. Staff were super friendly. I ordered the turkey and Gruyère sandwich. You could have it cold or grilled, which is what I chose. The star of the show was the broccoli cheddar soup. It might be one of the best I've had. Can't wait to go back! read more

Super chill and relaxing place to grab lunch or dinner! The vibe is excellent and the place is full of great art by award winning artists! They have a live music stage and the Eggmen (Beatles tribute band) play every Tuesday evening. A wide range of local tales graces the stage every weekend. Art * Music * Great Food! Great Reuben sandwich. Service was good and the restaurant has great vibes. Parking could be challenging depending on the time of day.

Came for dessert!I had my mind set on a cannoli and maybe another slice of something sweet. I ended up going for the key lime pie. The cannoli was very nice, creamy and flavorful filling. The only downside was that the shell wasn't as crisp as I would have liked. As for the key lime pie, it was decent too. The cream was a little too sweet on its own, but it balanced well with the citrus filling. Unfortunately, after I took the pie home and put it in the fridge, I noticed the next time I went to grab it that there was some liquid on the bottom. It made the crust wet, instead of having that nice dry, crumbly texture. I actually came by a couple of days ago, but after seeing the sign at the cashier, I returned with cash in hand. Overall, these are decent desserts, but the soggy pie crust experience makes me hesitate about trying their cheesecake next time. read more

Made a quick stop in Austin to visit a cool bookstore and stopped next door at NeWorlDeli for a quick bite afterward. The entire experience was 5-star, mostly because of the service I received. The food was really good; I had a tuna sandwich and added sides of pickles and jalapeños. They also had packs of vegan twinkies so I had to get them to snack on later... Also delish!! But the girl at the register who took and gave me my order was what made my visit so good. She was so personable, made me feel right at home. Honestly, made me wish I had ordered food to dine in. read more

The meatball sandwich was divine! Ordering online was quick and easy. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere.

This place has the worst service I've ever encountered in Austin in fact ever in my life. Huge crowd, one slow counter person. I paid $10 for the weakest pour of Sauvignon blanc I have ever seen. Not even 2 fingers I would totally go there on Tuesday's but the crap service keeps me away. Management should really hire another counter person and train them how to pour a proper glass of wine without ripping off the customer. read more

Stopped by New World Deli around 6 pm on a Friday evening! Parking was pretty straightforward, as there are some spots available right in front (on Guadalupe), and also along W 41st St. In terms of setup, it's laidback - you order/pay at the counter and then seat yourself. Plenty of space inside, even as it started to fill up more over the evening. Curried Chicken Salad on a French Roll ($7.95 for a half, 4/5) - Great portion for the price! I ordered the "more than a half" option, and it lasted me two meals. - You can customize the type of bread you'd like, some with an added fee (sourdough +$0.25, gluten-free +$1.50). The other options of wheat, french roll, and jewish rye have no extra cost. I got the french roll and thought it paired nicely with the ingredients. - Light, refreshing mix of flavors. - Note: it's a cold sandwich, so if you're looking for something warm/hot, maybe try one of the grilled options. My friends ordered the Turkey Pastrami and the Turkey Sandwich with Apple, Brie, and Fig Jam + side of Sweet Potato Fries. Overall they weren't super impressed with the sandwiches (3.5/5). Both enjoyed the fries, but thought they were on the expensive side (total order with sandwich + fries came out to be $20-25 after taxes and tip). Ambiance wise, there was live music which in theory would've been a nice touch. However, they were performing so loudly that in order for my friends and I to hear each other, we basically had to shout at each other over the table lol. Not sure if it was just a one-off experience, but it definitely detracted from the dining experience and we ended up leaving earlier than we initially would have because of that. Excluding the loud live music, NeWorlDeli is still a solid spot - although the food didn't blow us away, the prices are affordable for the portions you get. Definitely a small business/mom&pop shop worth checking out if you're looking to grab a casual meal! read more

I like this place but they don't label the prices of things and then suddenly the bill is 20 for a half sandwich. Then a half sandwich is actually a whole sandwich, and the side is twice as big as the sandwich. read more

Wonderful deli, with live music most days. Staff is friendly and the food is pretty good. It feels like a San Francisco deli with all the artwork for sale scattered on the walls. Such a cool little place! The ambience is really nice is kinda dark and out of the way and has unique art all over the restaurant and has a jazz area for performances the vibes are really nice. The employees were also super nice and helpful the menu was a little big and the cashier I forgot her name was super helpful in guiding us on the menu and what to pick ! And all the sandwiches are able to be made gluten free which is amazing. I got the turkey Apple Brie sandwich and it was really good the Brie cheese is melted and it has a fig jam a very unique sandwich but definitely delicious! Paid $18 for a hot turkey and Swiss, chips and drink. Everyone in my group got their orders within 10 minutes of being there, while I waited a full 20 minutes for mine and watched 3 other tables who sat after us get their orders before me. I wouldn't have cared that much because they were a little busy but I was told that my order "will be out in a few minutes" and when it finally did come 10 minutes later it was only kinda of warm and the bread was cold and wet in some places. I've heard great things about this place, it was very disappointing. read more

As a New England transplant, it's often that I'm craving a good ol' Deli sandwich. NeWorlDeli is the spot. The Chicken Curry Salad (with the works) is a must. In fact, it's hard to order something different every time I go because this choice is just THAT good. Sandwich sizes are substantial and served with a pickle spear. Ambiance is welcoming, often with live music. Beer, wine, baked goodies, and soups are also found on the menu. I will say, though, the Clam Chowder had too much dill and, while I'm glad to have tried something new this visit, I will not get again. Great location for a neighborhood walk afterwards, too. read more

Best gazpacho ever. Be sure to buy extra to take home. Friendly, helpful staff. Better deli than NYC.

No menus, and no prices till they bring the ticket. Very strange that way ... The food itself is strange, too. Unique, though! read more

My work took a lunch order from here and I was glad to hear it was alive and kicking after all these years. I was surprised to see how they actually accommodated various food allergies including Celiac disease, which isn't easy for a deli, but is highly appreciated. I just went with a standard salad with grilled chicken and a side of chips, but it was noticeably fresh and tasty. Was really appreciative that I could actually eat lunch food safely with coworkers, which is actually quite a rare treat. read more

A nice local spot! I wanted the Reuben but the person taking my order suggested The Rachel and I'm so glad they did, it was sooo delicious. The staff was friendly and the space is really deli-esc; very big with lots of tables, my friend and I felt comfortable playing card games for an hour after eating, knowing we weren't taking a table from someone who needed it. My friend's curried chicken salad sandwich wasn't anything to write home about. I felt the price for my half sandwich was kinda steep, about $15, but the portion was reasonable. read more

What a lovely, hidden neighborhood gem!! The food is superb, generous portions, and definitely fresh. It's super laid back, order at the counter, and add on's are extra of course, with a little bar of hot sauce and extra condiment choices. The sandwiches are fully customizable, which is awesome! My Cuban was truly wonderful, and my husband went for the famous Reuban, which was enormous, and he absolutely loved it! Good sandwiches are hard to find, and for the price most places charge for a sandwich now, it really does need to be something truly special, which NeWorlDeli delivers on! There is actually some on site parking, which is becoming more rare in Austin! I saw lots of signs for events coming up, and I would definitely consider checking them out! read more

The sandwiches are great and the ingredients are really amazing quality. Recommend the green apple Brie sandwich

I was going to eat here today, but a Reuben on rye bread was going to be $17 alone. The employee told me they stopped doing combos with soup or sides. I said I would get the half for $8, but corned beef was only available for the full price sandwich. I walked out. So ridiculous. I'll take a $12 Bahn mi, a large plate of Thai noodles for the same price, or a $6 HEB sandwich any day over a pretentiously priced regularly sized sandwich. read more
