Very happy they partner with a delivery company that doesn't charge an asinine amount. However, the food was pretty disappointing. Didn't realize I would get tiny reheated frozen meatballs. For $7 I'd rather get 2-3 decent sized homemade ones. The side of hummus was literally a small ramekin that salad dressing usually comes in and was $1.50. The flavor was decent but a little chunky compared to what I'm used to elsewhere. The cheesy garlic bread was pretty good. I feel like it could improve with packaging that doesn't steam it during transport though (wrapped in sandwich paper and then foil). Perhaps a box or styrofoam container that can vent would help it be less chewy and retain some crispness? The marinara has good flavor but was super watery, not sure if that's the usual since this is my first time having Cheba Hut. My husband and I decided to order some sandwiches to pick up while on our Ebike ride. I placed the order online. It was quick and easy. Once we arrived my husband waited for me outside. I walked in Cheba Hut and asked the person working there if my order was ready. He asked my name and checked for me. He let me know that they were running behind but that it wouldn't be a long wait. It took about 10 minutes before I got our order. The restaurant has a laid back vibe with plenty of seating. There was a large bar that was open to the inside and outside. I ordered the (8") Midwest Best Sandwich which comes with turkey, ham, bacon, dijonaise, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and a house dressing. My husband ordered the Pakalolo which comes with ham, honey mustard, pineapple, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and a house dressing. He decided to get his without tomato. I also ordered us two bags of salt and vinegar chips and two chocolate chip cookies. My sandwich was a good size. When I began eating it I thought I would be able to finish it but it had more meat than what I was expecting and I only ate half of the sandwich. Plus I ate most of my chips. It was a good sandwich. I could taste all of the combined ingredients. The chocolate chip cookie was delicious. It was semi crispy and the chocolate chip chunks were large. My husband enjoyed his meal. Came for lunch and no wait! Lots to choose from on the menu but I chose the g-13 with everyone in a salad. It came loaded with veggies and meat! The sauces were also very flavorful as were the accompanying dressings. The ambiance is very casual, but much than most sandwich shops with custom art everywhere which is cool. Way too many people complaining about there order delivered. Next time go to the actual location and order you food fresh. I placed an order online but arrived early so we decided to grab a drink at the bar; D'Andre was great! He let us know the specials and made me a great Dirty Hippy- the drink is a little sweeter than I tend to order but it was very refreshing and well mixed. My food order was ready exactly on schedule and the subs were hot and tasty. I got the Kali Mist which I enjoyed, just the right amount of spicy. The pretzel bites were also pretty good but I didn't love the honey mustard- if I get them again I'd get a different dipping sauce. Price for the food was decent; seemed a tad expensive for what you get but on par with general high Austin prices. Though the drink was $7 and that was 100% a great price. My only real complaint is the foil wrap- I guess its to keep the food warmer but I find paper wrapping to be easier to maneuver without it ripping and I wasn't a fan of the way the foil was kind of shoved into the sandwich itself making it extra messy to open. The vibe of the place is silly but fun (other than the drink called a bong water something... gross). Loved the murals on the wall though! Cool, 420 vibe everything. Staff was friendly and food was really good. I wasn't a huge fan of the "French dip" but the BLT was absolutely amazing! This was my first time to Cheba Hut, I pass by it all the time so I thought I'd give it a try. Disappointingly, I was not impressed. There was very little flavor, the condiments were barely noticeable, and the meat portion leaves something to be desired: keep in mind this is their 12-inch sub, which costs $15 The sandwich I ordered was on par with Subway but at Subway it's a little cheaper and comes with a larger serving of meat, and it's just as flavorless. Maybe their other subs have more flavor but I doubt I'll be coming back. Once I saw the mountain of lettuce I knew something wasn't right. read more

Cheba Hut is really solid and fun place to go to for sandwiches and has a cool bar. I've generally went with the kali mist which does not disappoint at all. It's in a great spot right next to Via 313 and Blacks BBQ - so if you truly have the munchies, this is your corner. I will keep coming to Cheba Hut because it does have very good sandwiches. A friend got me hooked on Cheba Hut a couple years ago in Vegas and I found myself craving them recently. Googled them and to my surprise there was a location in Austin! I've ordered both dine in and take out and this place always hits. I personally love the acaulpo gold (basically bbq chicken sando) on white bread. The chicken is always nicely toasted and love the smoky bbq sauce. The bread is one of the best imo, always very fresh tasting. Service was nice and quick! Prices are kind of expensive ngl, it's approx $11 for an 8 inch sandwich but it is super loaded and enough for two meals for me personally. read more

Tried the French Dip sandwich at Cheba Hut today, and it was a bit underwhelming. The beef was tender and the au jus was flavorful, but the sandwich fell short in a couple of areas. The bread was a bit too soft, becoming soggy quickly, and the raw red onions overpowered the more subtle flavors. While it had potential, the execution left something to be desired. A good sandwich, but not great. Three stars. Also, add more salt into the au jus. read more

My sandwich was very disappointing there was nothing on it I literally ate bread and guacamole like wtf I ordered the "A Train" and they gave me a train wreck.
