Been in ATX for a decade plus and haven't had the chance to nom on their pizzas in house, and finally found myself in South Austin on a weekend with nothing else to do except bring my fam for some fast casual good food to sit in cool blasting Ac on a hot Sept day post kiddo's soccer game, and this was such a hit! My kiddo immediately noticed the fun little arcade that's free to play and hunkered down, and hubs and I were able to get a glass or two of drinks in along with our slammin pizzas. The classic Hoe down and the seasonal Jerk Chicken were so darn good, and hefty portions so I'm looking forward to eating these again since I have leftovers! Really enjoyed the whole atmosphere of this place. First time here and I was told I just missed the lunch rush as I arrived around 2pm. This made for quick service. The set up is like a dining hall with long communal tables and a free smaller for seater tables on the boarders as well as outside patio seating. A bit too toasty outside for that. Food ordering is at one counter, you get a buzzer and they bring items to the table. Beer has a separate line with limited bar seating. Self service for soft drinks. I got the pizza lunch special which included a side salad, personal pizza and's drink all for $17.95! Talk about a deal! Cesar side salad was simple and's could have used a bit more cheese....and the pizza was good. Only downside was the pepperoni left a lot of grease which made the crust a bit soft. Not sure how to fix that but the crust that wasn't soft was delicious. So having a crisp crust would make it better. They take care of dishes once finished and the restroom was clean. We waited maybe 20 minutes to order then another 45 minutes for food, which wasn't that bad for a busy Friday night. We were crowded outside, and we didn't really have enough table or chair space. That's to be expected when we descended upon the restaurant with such a large group. For six people, we ordered three pizzas to share. We definitely could have shared with more people because we had some pizza left over. We got The Works, Shroomin' Goat, and Texas Chicken Ranch pizzas. The Texas Chicken Ranch was by far our favourite. It was really good, while the other two were alright. The crust was weirdly bubbly and amorphous looking. There was a lot of crust. The Works was okay. The sauce and meat weren't particularly tasty. The Shroomin' Goat was a vegetarian pizza with a lot of arugula, which is not my type of pizza, but our vegetarian friend said it was okay. How quickly we forget that every place is packed on game days/nights. We ended up ordering to go, but the wait was still going to be 30 minutes so we decided to find a place to sit and wait. Eventually we got a table and decided we would just eat here. The ambiance is energetic and bustling. It's full of people watching and cheering on their teams. Since we decided to stay, we added a salad to the order. The salad came out quickly and was quickly devoured. The pinthouse salad is baby spinach, red onion, candied pecans, cranberries, blue cheese, and poppy seed dressing. It's a combination that works exceptionally well together. We ordered pepperoni with basil and since the order was to-go, the basil was going to be on the side (in a container). I don't know what the deal is with basil-do restaurants keep low inventory? do people complain about the flavor? Every time we order basil, we get like two leaves. It's like they can only chop up one or two per order. So was disappointed in the amount of basil that was on the pizza. It was still delicious. We came here with a bunch of friends to just have some food and drinks. From all their locations, I think this is one of the smaller ones. We did come on a game night, which was pretty packed. Service was really fast and organized. I ordered the Italian sandwich and amerigo. I truly enjoyed the Italian one; it was so fresh, light, yet full of flavors. Their bread is amazing. Amerigo was also really good and light. I do wish they offered red wine; they only have white and rosé. We also ordered their braised meatball from their appetizer menu, and it was on the spicier side, but overall it was great. The pizza is really good. REALLY. GOOD. But for the love of all that is good pizza order it TO GO. The vibes are WEIRD in this place. All of a sudden I was in a Dallas, and I did not want to be. It was loud, it was crowded, it was a bunch of Circle C empty nesters getting way too drunk, way too early in the night, and treating the whole restaurant like their own living rooms, taking up too much space at shared tables and all kind of odd behavior. TBF that's not really the restaurants fault. They were obviously going for chill beer garden vibes, but it remains a problem none the less. The service was SO friendly. I want to be clear about this, because the place was jam packed, and everyone who worked there was happy, respectful, and attentive, but... A whole pizza we ordered just never showed up, and we heard several people at tables near us having similar issues. One woman had gotten so fed up waiting she had ordered a pizza to-go to be delivered to her table. Again, though the guy at the counter was awesome. He was mortified our pizza had never showed up, and at our request comped us a really fabulous brownie dessert as a replacement. We were coming off the plane and ready for dinner, so my sister took us straight here. There are a few video games when you first walk in (which my nephew proptly made me play with him), plenty of family style seating, and food and beer for everyone. They had a really great beer menu, which is seperate from food orders, it was perfect. The line moved super quick. They don't have any super fancy beers (i.e. sours/fruited) BUT they had literally everything else, and the ones I tried all tasted great. The pizza was actually pretty quick, and they are HUGE. We had four adults and we got two....and really only ate one. The pizza had really great flavor and awesome toppings to choose from. Overall, a great experience. My favorite pizza spot in Austin! You cannot go wrong with any pizza here. I am obsessed with the ooh la la Pizza, which comes with pepperoni some peppers, some arugula, and some hot honey on top. And it's amazing. When you go into the actual restaurant, it's find your own seating, which can be kind of hectic sometimes. But overall a great community aspect. You order pizzas and you sit down and then after a while, they bring them out to you and all the selections are just so incredible. It's also a brewery, so fun for others who maybe aren't that big on pizza but still want to hang out and they do amazing to go orders as well. It's very casual. My husband wanted to celebrate the end of his busy season with some pizza from Pinthouse. He placed the order online and picked it up. We shared many different items. First was two orders of Beer Mates which is Garlic Bread with a choice of dipping sauce. One was with cheese and the other was without cheese. Second was the Das Pretzel which is a fresh baked pretzel with a choice of dipping sauce. Third was the Pizza Roll which had cheese, garlic, and pepperoni with a choice of dipping sauce. For our main meal we ordered a large 16" Honey Pear Pizza which has cheese, caramelized onions, pears and blue cheese. For dessert we ordered a brownie with ice cream which is a chocolate brownie with Amy's Ice Cream and Caramel sauce. The Beer Mates were good. With cheese they were very doughy and the cheese was good. Dipping it in the Ranch dressing added to the flavor. Without cheese they were just as good. Not as thick and doughy but the garlic flavor was strong and dipped in the Ranch dressing enhanced the taste. The Das Pretzel was okay. It was warm but a little bit overdone. The exterior was a little bit crispier than what I am used to but the inside was doughy and soft. Dipped in the mustard which was a Dijon added flavor. The Pizza Roll was very good. It had all of the pizza flavors rolled up together into a few bites. Adding a little bit of ranch dressing was a bonus. The Honey Pear Pizza was delicious. It's seasonal so when we noticed it was available we got it. I love the combination of the flavors in this pizza. It's one of my favorites. The Brownie and ice cream was an enjoyable sweet treat. We warmed it up and then added the ice cream to it. I drizzled a little bit of the Carmel sauce on top just to try it. The Brownie was soft and chewy, the ice cream was from Amy's. It was a perfect mix of warm and cold with a slight salty flavor from the Carmel sauce. Overall a very filling meal with great options for all aspects of a dinner meal. The gluten free (cauliflower) crust is delicious and crunchy, and the dairy free cheese tastes totally normal. It's also fairly large inside with a lot of picnic style tables, so it's easy to find a spot. I saw several people with laptops working remotely, so it seems like a good place to hangout if you are working from home. You order at the front and take a number to your table.
