You can pretty much do a lot of customization online (ie remove a topping, less cheese, double cut...etc). Since I created an account for the first time, I got $10 off. This is Detroit style pizza. Think of rectangular deep dish and not as thick. Their pizza is basically cooked in sheet trays. The small size is the quarter sheet tray. The half sheet tray, I'm assuming is their regular size. The pizza to me has the right amount of dough, which was crispy on the bottom and edges, with a chewy center. It almost reminds me of a thinner focaccia bread. Usually I don't voluntarily go to a pizza place but sometimes you really just crave a slice (or more than a couple). I'd heard of and seen this chain name on various lists so figured it was worth a shot. I was too shy to ring the bell at the pick up window & was 1/2 way through the online order when staff pulled up the screen. As far as gluten-free is concerned, the pizza here is a legitimate game-changer -- which makes sense with all of the GF best pizza awards it's won. I believe that they use wheat starch, maintaining the delicious wheaty taste that has eluded so many celiacs for potentially years. But the GF pizza here is the real deal, completely indistinguishable from normal pizza. Crispy, saucy, filling and satisfying. They've had some promotions recently for BOGO deals, and those also definitely don't hurt. I would say that the one downside is how pricey they can get -- I have literally spent $30 on a personal sized, 4 square pizza here. First and foremost I want to say, this is good pizza. Is it great pizza? Meh. But it is good and I enjoyed it. Note, I might be a little impartial in this review, since I grew up in Detroit eating Buddy's style pizza. Yes, back then, it was called Buddy's pizza. They created the idea of the special dough, special cheese, and reverse toppings, and ran a little place on 6 mile road in Detroit. It started to become really famous when they opened the location in Warren MI, just across from GM's famous tech center, it became know to all the locals as the best pizza in town. They didn't spread and franchise, but relied on the locals who always came for that special taste. There were only a few, including the Warren one which I always frequented in High School and College. I remember working in the summers at my friend's party store on 6 mile and Mound. We used to go to the original buddy's down the street from him. It was like a little known secret to many. No one was calling it Detroit style pizza, since Buddy's was the only one doing it. Back then I remember the crust being so thick, yet so light and crispy. Almost like biting into a real great NY style thin crust pizza that is still soft chewy and crispy. The way he made the pizza with the pepperoni underneath dripping into the dough, and their special cheese, was out of this world. 313 Pizza is good, but I am sorry, it is a far cry from Buddy's or what is now called Detroit Pizza. No offense to 313, but I don't taste the special blend cheese that was only made for Buddy's, or the pepperoni underneath, which they said, but I really didn't see it. The dough is also much thinner, and not like the original Detroit Style pizza. Any ways, I like a good pizza, which this is, and hence the four stars. I'll be back to try more. read more

Ordered the Cauliflower broccoli, had a nice vinegretyy flavor and I scarfed that down, but it was just a little soggy. The Brussels were pretty basic, but healthy I guess, think they coulda come with a kick of something like cheese or bacon. The Carnivore bar pizza had a nicely crisped crust and a fair portion of meat toppings. Each of the deep dish pizzas had that nice buttery bottoms and crusts. The 4 cheese was my favorite. One of the deep dishes didn't have dough cooked the whole way though, but that happens to he my preference. The server was super friendly but the staff coulda done a little better with some refills and clearing drinks and cans. The red velvet pazookie was outstanding. Cookie melted right in your mouth. Via 313 is my favorite pizza in Austin. I've had them when they were served out of a cart on east 6th, when they were in the back of a bar on Rainey Street and also frequented their storefront on east 6th when they first opened up. So I'm a huge fan. Then some bad stuff happened in the world and I didn't get an opportunity to eat at via 313 for around 2 years until recently. In the last few months, I've come to this specific location a couple of times. There were also some events where Via 313 was catered though I don't know if it's from this location. So from all this, the verdict is clear. Unfortunately, it's nowhere near as good as it once was! I don't know if it's this specific location (have not tried other locations recently), or if cost cutter measures have been taken in regards to the ingredients and/or methods, but there's no longer a wow factor. The cheese wasn't the best, the thickness feels less, the sauce felt cheap and hastily put on, the edges werent crispy and burnt. It's still unique but feels commercialized and the care, attention and love feels gone. I even compared a pic from 2019 from a different location and this one of the classic cheese, and the difference in look and quality is miles apart. I do hope this is a location specific problem, I noticed the quality, service, and care seems to diminish the closer we get to serving the student crowds. The drinks were also very watered down. Service was overall nice. Anyway, hoping I'm wrong on the above and next time will be the excellent pizza I remember from years back.
