This was my first slice of pizza from Austin and from Texas but if this is what Texas and Austin has to offer, I can say with confidence that Pennsylvania has way better pizza.

Pizza is super good and a fair price domestic beer, only three dollars a bottle. Service is fast and the inside is older, but still enough for a pizza joint.

Margarita slice and Rosalie slice. Fav was Rosalie

Just tried this place today cuz I was in the area but def will return cuz it was fireeee. And they got a special from like 3-5p m-f or something so I got 2 slices for literally like less than nine dollars and the slices were actually giant as fuck. I always loved that pizza place, Home Slice but this is definitely gonna be one of my new favorites now. They have a nice big patio with Hella seating which is great since I have a dog and the woman who checked me out was really nice. Lowks the only weird part was I was eating my pizza on the deck, alone w my dog, and this dude (who I assume works there because he was behind the counter earlier) came out and like invited me to his church and told me something like I look like I could use God or something. and this whole fufkin time he's telling me about mass, I'm like mid fuckin bite lol. And preoccupied, freaking out cuz the dumbass essay I spent like 5 hours working on didn't save. Lol maybe god can save me after all. But anyways just found that interaction a little peculiar, a little interesting. But yum pizza, nice people and gooood deal money wise. Thanks yall

We've been to this location and the West Campus location on multiple occasions. This one is much closer to our house and within walking distance (about a mile or so). It's a great place to stop before/after going out in the area. They do a pretty decent NY-style pie that tastes pretty good, especially after you've had a few drinks...it really hits the spot.

Got a late night slice here after drinking and it hit the spot! This place is super impressive with the crowd they serve and how late they are open. Pizza was good and pretty reasonably priced!

Roppolo's pizza is great if you can catch it when it's fresh, but after it's been sitting under the heat lamps, it tastes like it was sitting under the heat lamps. If you find yourself about to order Roppolo's pizza, don't make your selection based off what toppings you usually prefer; get whatever variety looks freshest. I don't eat pizza often, but my margharita slice was a real treat last weekend!

I love a New York-style pizza. I can spy one from a mile; when I see the thin crust, the extra-large slice, the simple sauce, and it's foldable, I know this is it! I can't pass it up, especially when it's a grab-and-go, and the atmosphere is relaxing; I'm all in. So, I was walking down Sixth Street and peered inside, and even though I was full from eating an hour ago, I ordered two slices. I always get a pepperoni and a supreme; both slices were perfect. The distribution of the toppings was spot on, and the sauce was minimal. Roppolo's don't have to drown their pizzas or pies with sauce because they know how to make good pizza; each topping stands on its own, meaning you taste the meat, the veggies, the cheese, the crust, and the sauce with one delicious bite. Another thing: a Pizzaiolo will always greet you and serve you a hot pizza.

Roppolo's is normally closed on Monday but for some reason it was open. I was in Austin for the Kill Tony show and I had to grab a slice before the show. The Godfather is what I got and it a meat lovers dream. It's a big and very delicious slice of thin crust pizza. Roppolo's is a must try if you're downtown on sixth Street.

We always come here when we happen to be in downtown Austin, and it always hits. We always try to stop by when we're in the area.

Decent pizza for a late-night snack as they are open late! They are some of the largest slices (even bigger than a Costco slice) and the crust is salted and delicious. They have multiple different pizzas to choose from for your slices (only slices are available after a certain time). They heat them up quickly and you can take them to go or into the "speakeasy" to find several eating areas.

Solid late night pizza spot. Slice was piping hot and crispy but was kind of burnt. Pretty quick service after ordering and inside has few spots to sit

Great spot to get food around 9 PM on 6th street. The pizza slice was very big and the crust had a crisp to it, which was really nice. In the back, there was seating area that made you feel like you were in New York, which was pretty cool. The people working there were super nice, and had a great attitude.

I love a good hotel bed pizza, so I was excited to try Roppolo's after the hotel staff recommended it. When we first walked by, their lights were all off on the truck so we thought they were closed. But that was kind of weird because it was a Friday night and not that late... so we ended up at the gyro cart across the street. Then we looked again and the lights were back on! I love a good slice, so I went back over. I had ordered two slices when I realized I forgot my wallet in the hotel room. Luckily they took Apple Pay, which was great. I got a margherita slice and a pepperoni, sausage, and jalapeno slice. I was kind of shocked when the total was $20 (that was including a decent tip as the guy was really nice), but hey, when in Austin I guess. The pizza was just 3-star ok. The margherita pizza was underneath the other slice in the box and had kind of started falling apart and was really soggy. The pepperoni slice fared better and stayed intact. I prefer the pizza slice places where they run it through an oven right before they give it to you, but that's just not what this spot is about. Convenient and quick is what this Roppolo's has going for it.

I had made a reservation a few weeks prior for our anniversary month. When we sat at our table they had a cute little greeting card from the staff wishing us a happy anniversary. Pro Tip: Just make a reservation way in advance and if you make it you make it. Even if you don't think you will be able to make it. If you can't go just cancel with enough advance. We started with the Meatballs that pair wonderfully with their Italian Bread. Flavorful and plentiful dish and def get the bread! Next came the Bone Marrow & Tuna Crudo. I will say though for some reason after we finished our Meatballs it took them quite a while to bring our dishes after that. Bone Marrow was divine and also paired well with the Italian Bread. Tuna Crudo was not what I expected because it was warm and I was expecting it to be cold. But it was good and I love eggplant. Our main dish was the Agnolotti Alla Piemontese. From the description it seemed to hit all the boxes since we are meat lovers (contains braised beef & pork shoulder) and truffle. I love me some truffle. When we ordered the Agnolotti Alla Piemontese I asked him does it have a lot of truffle flavor because I love truffle. He said oh we can definitely add more truffle if you would like when the dish comes out. When the dish came they had the chef come shave an extra truffle on the dish. I honestly could not taste the difference. Was not enough truffle flavor for me. Note the extra truffle is an added charge. Overall lovely experience. If we return we will need to try some different dishes to give it another try.

I do my homework across my google map tracker cross referenced to yelp as well as my insights based on his affinities and price point. I send him a unique set of spots any hopeless romantic's partner was sure to love. He goes off script & selects Intero ( IG: @interorestaurant ). I had never been there so I made it my mission to get there first for data. I promised him, all I would send is a "fuck yeah" or "nah!" My solo feast included the sourdough focaccia ( house made ricotta, wildflower honey, thyme ), charred cabbage ( hot mustard, parm, chive oil ), steelhead trout tartare ( tomato, caper, leek aioli, carta di musica ), rigatoni ( smoked rabbit, mushroom, red wine, horseradish cream ), 14oz wagyu beef tenderloin ( grilled romanesco, spring onion, walnut, chili ) , and finally one of each of their in house made artisan truffles. Why not! Everything here was truly exceptional, full flavored, hyper local, I ate too much. The charred cabbage was the best I've ever had taking the reins from Din Tai Fung's sautéed cabbage in Vegas. Romanesco is one of my favorite veggies, perfectly paired with the flawlessly cooked temp of the tastiest cows I've ever eaten. After all of this meeting the creator and chocolatier of the truffles and chocolate bricks was icing on the cake. I expressed my gratitude, and just how much I loved the spot. All of the staff laughed when I said my buddy was coming in days later behind me. I showed them the "Fuck Yeah!" text message. I love Austin. There's never a dull moment, and I can't wait to be back, cowboy boots and hat in hand for the 2026 Rails World Conference. Tickets drop tomorrow at 10am CST. It's why I HAVE to workout every day!

After giving our keys away we walked into what is a beautiful outside area at Juliet's. It's a nice mix of feeling like you're in downtown Austin but also not. We went inside to request two seats outside and this is unfortunately where everything fell apart. After being seated all the way at the very corner of the restaurant near the entrance, we didn't receive water for 15 minutes. In fact, we had to ask for water, as well as silverware, from a person who was cleaning a table- not a waiter. We didn't order until about 30 minutes after being seated. We noticed that others around us who were dressed nicer for the occasion were receiving service but we were not (jeans and a nice top as opposed to a dressy outfit). This is less of an accusation and more of an observation. It took another waiter noticing that we had not been served to come over and take our order, and that was 5 minutes after we had to flag down a busser to ask for water. The flip side of that whole first part is that the food was pretty good. We got complimentary table bread (after we asked for it since it never came before our main meal) that was soft and went well with the olive oil it came with. For our entrees we got the shrimp scampi and chicken parm. The shrimp scampi was fantastic and light with creamy and bold flavors in-between. The chicken parm was maybe the largest chicken cutlet we've seen given out at a restaurant. Not only was the cutlet massive but it was delicious as well with a nice, light breading and cheese on top. The spaghetti alongside it was a nice touch but this was a true chicken parm entree as it should be. We were offered a complimentary dessert as an apology for the miscues before we ate but turned it down (still good of them to offer). Leaving was easy as the valet was very attentive and quick to get our car. We wish we could say our time at Juliet's was perfect because the setting and food are very nice and a fun change of pace from the surrounding blocks. However, it's difficult to overlook the mistakes made from the jump. We noticed that another table next to us was also experiencing bad service and looked unhappy enough to leave in the middle of their meal/ We're always open to having good food again so hopefully the next time we're here things are different. Just an unfortunate bittersweet taste to what otherwise would have been a fantastic meal.
