Our last meal in Austin and we're BBQ'd out believe it or not! We got here in time before the lunch rush. Friendly service, food was great & ambiance is cute and homey'.

The pizza was delicious! Had pepperoni and sausage for toppings and I also asked for hot honey on the side. This was a great combo. I went here around my birthday and they were sweet enough to give me such a pretty cake on the house! I also enjoyed their mocktail, it was definitely on the sweeter side which I liked. The pasta was okay, the pesto pasta could've had more pesto flavor but overall I did enjoy it and the color made it fun/instagrammable. Vodka pasta was decent but nothing too memorable. Portion of pasta was also small for the price. It's conveniently located in Domain so you can drop by after a day of shopping. There was no wait when we went on a weekday. Our waitress, Bug, was so sweet and attentive. She made the overall experience more enjoyable!

My brother was in town from San Antonio, TX to take me out to celebrate a work milestone and like with most sibling meetups, the goal was to catch up without rushing. North Italia gave us the space we needed for a leisurely visit. North Italia features architectural clean lines, soaring ceilings, and an open, airy atmosphere throughout the restaurant. In addition, the floor to ceiling windows allowed us to do some degree of people watching as folks meandered down Century Oaks at the Domain shopping center. Alex, our server, immediately presented us with menus. My brother ordered the bolognese, and I ordered the sausage Stromboli. The bolognese was almost like Lasagna that my brother initially wanted but had been sold out. He loved the bolognese with added spinach and short ribs. My Stromboli was a bit spicey, which Alex mentioned initially yet not too spicy. Both dishes were appealing and we both enjoyed our respective dishes. The pasta had an ideal mix of sauce, meat, and vegetables. Every bite was more delicious than the next. The dining experience was light and enjoyable just like our conversation. In addition, Alex checked on us, however, did not server helicopter whilst we dined. Lunch with my brother from San Antonio was welcoming, comfortable, and quietly memorable. Bravo...North Italia!

Brunch service was amazing. Last minute decision to go out for brunch on a Sunday. My husband was able to snag a reservation at 11:30 am for 4. We arrived and was seated immediately. Not too busy / crowded when we got to the Domain. Our server was very sweet and very attentive. She went over the menu and presented us with a smaller menu that had revisions and specials not on the regular menu. We started off with 2 cocktails - Passione & Breakfast Mule with the Heirloom Tomato & Burrata plate. The Passione was light and refreshing, alcohol not to overpowering. The same for the Breakfast Mule. Both cocktails went well with our appetizer and brunch meals. We ordered the Tuscan Hash with Braised Short Rib, Pollo Fritto, Americano & Breakfast Rosa. We each ordered and shared a few bites to taste. The Tuscan Hash with Braised Short rib and the short rib was cooked to perfection and blended well with the poached egg and hash. The Pollo Fritto was cooked well, however my son wasn't a fan of the sauce. He ate it anyways and said overall was good but not great because of the sauce. I ordered the Americano with prosciutto and it was too good that nothing else was left on the plate. My daughter had the Breakfast Rosa pizza, flavor was great, sauce & meats were evenly spread with 2 eggs to top it off. To finish off our brunch, we each had an espresso, tiramisu and strawberry sorbet. Dessert and coffee were great as well. We went home happy & full.

Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday during lunch, and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. The restaurant itself was clean and inviting, and the staff was attentive and polite throughout our visit. We started with the shrimp scampi and beef carpaccio. The shrimp scampi was definitely the standout--well-cooked, flavorful, and my favorite of the two. The carpaccio was good as well, just nothing particularly memorable. For our entrees, we both ordered the chicken Parmesan. My friend had it with noodles, while I swapped mine for smashed potatoes. The chicken was cooked perfectly, well-seasoned, and had just the right amount of sauce. The smashed potatoes were a great choice, but after trying her pasta, I have to say the sauce paired with the noodles was delicious--I'd probably go that route next time. Since we were celebrating, we ended with the butter cake for dessert, and it was amazing. A perfect way to wrap up the meal. Overall, I'd definitely come back!

We decided to try North Italia at The Domain for a Saturday dinner and secured a 9 PM reservation. Even at that hour, we were surprised to see the restaurant completely packed with a long waiting list--definitely a sign of how popular it is. For drinks, I ordered the Cabernet Sauvignon (Iconoclast "By Chimney Rock," Napa Valley), which was smooth and enjoyable. My husband went with the Sangria and "Ciao, Bella!", while my son chose the "Just Peachy"--all great choices that complemented the meal well. We started with the White Truffle Garlic Bread, which was delicious and a great way to kick things off. For the main course, my husband and I shared the Trottole Chicken Pesto pasta, and my son ordered the Hot Honey & Smoked Prosciutto Pizza. Both dishes were flavorful and well-prepared. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but the portion sizes are good and make it feel worth it. Service was decent--overall smooth. We were seated in the covered outdoor patio, which had a nice ambiance. One helpful tip from our server: if you prefer booth seating, make sure to mention it when booking your reservation.

This is my second time to a North Italia within a month. After enjoying dining in at the downtown location, I decided to get take out at the location at the Domain. Collin was very friendly and helpful on the phone when I placed my order. In addition to ordering food for myself, I asked some questions about their family prep meals and he shared a lot of helpful info. I ordered the smashed meatball ragu, bottled margarita, and, arnold palmer. The entree was good, but I felt it had way too much onion in it. The pieces were just so big and overwhelming. The margarita was extremely strong and I made it tastier and stretch further by mixing in some sparkling water. That definitely made it taste better and lower it from 24% abv. I don't think I would order the ragu again and likely will stick to pizza again next time cause it was so good on my first visit at the other location. But the staff is friendly when you pick up your order and I was happy to give them a tip even on a take out order.

Came to North after a day of shopping & it was a great way to end our day! We came for a late dinner after seeing this was a popular place at lunch time. We sat at the communal high top & even though it was a pretty busy time, we got in immediately. They also have a heated patio (it was chilly today) so lots of options. We asked our waitress what was a good portion (after reading some reviews about smaller entrees) and she recommended either the meatballs, chicken parm or the braised short rib. We got the short rib and WOW it did not disappoint. I probably could have taken some home but it was delicious and I was very hungry. The wine selection was also very good, and the pizzas were a popular option (maybe next time). They only have 2 bathrooms & the area got a bit crowded with ppl waiting, but not an issue. All in all the food was great & we'd gladly come back!

North Italia used to be one of our go-to restaurants back in Miami. This visit was overall very good, with a couple of small differences from what I was used to. I ordered the meatballs to start, and while they were tasty, the polenta wasn't quite as generous or creamy as the version I remembered from Miami. Still enjoyable, just not as memorable. Salmon for the entree for me - It was cooked perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and flaky on the inside and the horseradish sauce (I know, right!?) actually balanced the fish beautifully. I love horseradish, so it was a pleasant surprise. The broccoli on the side was another highlight: bright, fresh, and full of flavor. Chicken parm was as always delicious with nothing to add really. 4 star because the place was on a louder side perhaps from the music and it was darker than usual at our part of the restaurant and by the table. The candle helped but I had to use flashlight to read menu.

This place was good and met my expectations for a first visit. I've been in Austin for 10 years but I've just never made my way to try this place. I'll be honest I don't see a lot of advertisement surrounding this place but good if you're looking for a nice Italian meal wanting to try something new. I went on a cold day in Austin and decided to try it out since it was walking distance from what I went to the domain for. The food was great. A couple of people in my party didn't get their soups for their lunch special they were running and we also didn't get our bread and butter (the complimentary app) until a while later and by the time I ate my appetizer their bread came out. I don't feel like any of that was explained and I may have not ordered my appetizer if I knew. I ordered off their brunch menu and it was great, there are Quite a few options to choose from! I did also bring my 7 month old. There are unisex bathrooms and changing tables in both stalls. The music in the restaurant was at a good level, so when she got fussy it didn't seem to bother others around us and not even people at my table really heard her. Dessert had great options to choose from as well. Parking : anywhere you can find at the domain

This was my second visit to north italia. I will say the second visit was better than the first. The pasta was fresh and amazing. We got the grilled bread as an appetizer and it really hit the spot. The tiramisu is to die for. The added crunchy texture and creaminess is devine. It is a chain restaurant - which I had not realized :( but if you haven't tried it I would recommend.

We ate dinner outside and there were fans to keep the bugs away. Our server was friendly and on top of it. We enjoyed the calamari and truffle bread for appetizers. The eggplant Parmesan was over salted and we sent it back. Based on another yelpers rec, I ordered the Strozzapreti and substituted short rib in place of the chicken and it was delicious. I had the best dish at the table.

Do you make reservations for a private party? Group of 50 more or less.

Yes, it's not a huge space so they will need lots of notice.

Is this all homemade pasta, authentic original Italian food? I don't mean something off the Sisco Food truck, I mean real like from Italy? I am Italian and don't mind spending the money and will drive over 1 1/2 hours to eat if so... Thank You! Louis

I don't think this place is what you're looking for, it's still great though! Check out below.… Read more

Do they have espressos/coffee for weekend brunch?

Yes they do and it's yummy! I had just the latte with 2 cubes of sugar.

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

Yes, we can see a couple with their dog on the partners lap right now. I'm at North Italia eating outside right now .

Is the gluten free pasta also fresh? Or store bought?

No store-bought pasta there! Please go and you'll love it.

    Do they have vegetarian options?

Yes and they make accommodations and adjustments for you too

Can You make you own pizza like add toppings of your own choice?

Not really- the pizzas are not ore-made but menu specific: you can remove an item or replace based on menu items but the limited pizza menu isn't really a design your own set up. Hope this helps

Would ordering to-go be worth it? Are there dishes that should definitely only be eaten in the restaurant?

Pizzas and pastas would probably be okay to-go, but cauliflower/egg app and zucca chips will be best eaten there.

From a design and hospitality standpoint, it's difficult to understand how this made it to opening in its current state. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it. My server at dinner was able to give me a solid recommendation for one to pair with my salmon. She was dead on with how well it complimented the fish. As for the salmon, it wasn't overly seasoned and was incredibly flaky. It was a good size as well. For breakfast, The Breakfast Plate's eggs were cooked perfectly with appropriately cooked bacon. I enjoyed the potatoes that accompanied it as well. The Buttermilk Pancakes meal was a failure though. The pancakes were gooey inside. My server, Amy, offered to have them remade, but I declined the offer. So I accepted a parfait, which was easily one of the best I've had in Austin. The granola with the berries were perfectly balanced, and the granola wasn't super chunky. Amy was 100% invested in my meal satisfaction. The dining room is quite pretty with lovely set tables. Every time I ate, I felt a tad underdressed! But they don't care if you're comfortably casual, and i saw a family with small children looking very relaxed and vacationy and they were welcome.

The space mixes art deco with a little bit of Spanish flair, tucked beside/adjacent to Mama Betty's. It's big, but arranged in a way that still feels cozy and social. The crowd? Late 20s to early 40s. Grown and attractive. Lively but not chaotic. Vibrant without being loud. Perfect for dressing up a little, socializing and lingering a little. We Ubered there, so I didn't get a full picture of the parking, but it seems like there may be a little parking garage or validated parking area? Maybe a pay for parking? I would read other reviews. Most of the staff? Fantastic. Professional, warm, funny. Our assigned waitress, however, gave off overwhelmed and low-energy. She was short with communication and it sort of dulled our sparkle for a moment, but the drinks and vibes quickly brought it back. Had we had another waitress, this place would have been a 10 out of 10. On to the drinks: Round one: espresso martinis (made with Tito's). Slightly sweet, bold, smooth, and very sippable. No coffee bean decorations on top, but full of flavor. No cream inside...sort of reminding you of a Black Russian. Served in a ribbed coupe glass. Round two: French 75s with Hendrick's. Punchy lemon flavor, a tad sweet, lower champagne notes but still giving French 75. Garnished with a dried lime slice instead of a lemon. Served elegant in those ribbed coupe glasses (which fit the aesthetic perfectly). The cocktails are well-crafted and intentional. They aren't overly boozy, but they are balanced, smooth and polished. Bathrooms? Immaculate. Unisex. Private stall rooms with their own individual doors. Efficient and modern. No long lines. Opportunity to mingle with the opposite sex in the bathroom if that suits your fancy. Foxtail feels like a good place to start a new chapter. We had good conversations and we enjoyed staying out just a little longer than we planned. Their Happy Hour (4:30-6pm weekdays) is officially on my radar for the future. I'll be back. I want this place to be routine. 9 out of 10.

It's a very cute bar that you would expect to see in downtown Austin. The service was extremely fast and by the time we got all of our drinks, our table at Mama's was ready. So it definitely was NOT an hour wait. And it was a Saturday. We ordered some wines and the Parmesan fries which were really good. I would definitely come back here again.

We had him choose our charcuterie board for us and we enjoyed all of it. I asked for a sweet red wine and his choice was top notch. The GM Jacob was also very kind. He came to check in on us and made sure we were enjoying our night. The ambiance is very nice as well. Plenty of room and tables and the open kitchen concept is really nice to see. It was cool to see a pizza oven in there too.

From the moment we sat down, the service set a phenomenal tone for the meal. Our server, Avery, genuinely took the time to ask what we were interested in, thoughtfully guiding us through the menu with recommendations that were, frankly, unbelievable. Every single suggestion was spot-on. As for the food, every dish that arrived at the table was a masterpiece: The Brunch Plate: A beautifully classic, elevated breakfast. The sunny-side-up eggs were cooked to absolute perfection, seasoned with a light touch of pepper and spice. Paired with perfectly golden, crispy hash browns, savory sausage, thick-cut toast, and a rich fruit compote, it was a flawless, hearty start to the day. The Beet & Citrus Salad: A vibrant, refreshing standout. The earthy depth of roasted red and golden beets paired wonderfully with bright, juicy citrus segments, creamy crumbled cheese, and fresh greens. It was beautifully balanced, incredibly fresh, and a perfect contrast of textures. The Pesto Pasta: Absolutely spectacular. The pasta shape held onto the rich, flavorful pesto sauce perfectly, which was tossed with fresh spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, and tender chicken, all finished with a generous dusting of parmesan. It was savory, comforting, and packed with bright, fresh flavor. Between the flawless, attentive service and the phenomenal quality of the kitchen, they made this Father's Day incredibly memorable. We will absolutely be back!
