House Made Biscuits with local Jam and whipped butter.
    John C.

Solid Brunch Spot with Great Bar Service & Pro Tip for Avoiding the Wait Visited Corinne at The Westin in the Domain for brunch and had a really enjoyable experience overall. The restaurant itself has a nice, upscale yet approachable vibe and perfect for a relaxed meal in the area. First off, huge shoutout to Liz, our bartender, she was amazing! Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole bar experience feel personal and fun. Highly recommend sitting at the bar if you can. Pro tip: The dining room had about an hour wait for brunch, but the same full menu is available at the bar with zero wait. We walked right up and got seated immediately! A total game changer. We started with the house made biscuits (came with local jam and whipped butter). They were flaky, buttery, and delicious and a perfect way to kick things off. For my main, I went with the Crab Cake Benedict (from the brunch plates). The crab cake itself was tasty with good flavor and texture, and the poached eggs were nicely done. That said, I love super runny yolks on a Benedict, but these were barely runny. Also, there was barely enough hollandaise sauce to cover the eggs properly, it could have used a more generous pour. Still solid, just a minor nitpick. Drinks were a highlight! I had the Highland Bloom (Still Austin bourbon, blueberry rosemary syrup, lemon) refreshing, balanced, and not too sweet, with that nice herbal note from the rosemary. Then tried the Agave Amor (mezcal-based with amaras verde, luxardo maraschino, del santo, lime) smoky, agave forward, and a bit adventurous. Both were well crafted and hit the spot. Service at the bar was very personal and quick, food came out timely, and everything felt fresh. It's a great option in the Domain for brunch or drinks, especially if you snag a bar seat. Would definitely return, maybe next time asking for extra hollandaise! Thanks, Liz, you made the visit memorable.

I ordered a burger and the buttermilk biscuits from here. The biscuits were really tasty and were fresh. For my main, I ordered the burger with bacon. The bottom bun was covered in sauce so it was soggy and very messy to eat. The burger was average. I only ate half of it cause I didn't like having soggy bread. The juices here are really fresh! I got the berry juice refresher.

This is what a nice hotel restaurant should be. I stayed at the Westin for several nights with one of my kids for a long weekend road trip. We really enjoyed the hotel and ate here for both breakfast and dinner. We had great meals and service both times. When I say nice restaurant, here is what I mean. For breakfast, I got a wagyu bowl with steak, eggs, and potatoes. This is what a fancy breakfast should be. Forget that eggs Benedict nonsense unless it is your jam; if so, get it. For dinner, I had a ribeye, which is usually hit or miss in a hotel restaurant. Here, it was excellent. It was similar to what I would have gotten in a high-end steakhouse. Would I come here if I wasn't staying in the hotel? Maybe, but parking does kind of suck. However, if you are staying here, you should definitely consider eating here over walking to the shops and eating. Trust me, it is great.

We came here for Sunday brunch. A decent brunch spot, albeit, nothing to write home about. It's located in the lobby of the Westin, so it has in-hotel-lobby vibes for sure. They validate parking in the hotel parking lot btw! Chicken Club ($16) - This was more like a grilled chicken burger with bacon (THICCC) and light avocado (was there avocado on it? I'm not even sure). It was on a giant fluffy brioche. I opted for fruit over fries for a lighter option. Bf got the Wagyu Skillet ($22) and seemed to enjoy it. Perhaps we will go for something more decadent if we go again - like the biscuits! The staff is polite and knowledgeable :)

Great restaurant in the Westin Hotel. Very cozy and energetic with patrons at every table. Staff was so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious we had a family size meal and the food and drinks just kept coming. The chicken and sweet potato were so tasty. And the desserts were so delicious I forgot to take pics of the chocolate cake and ice cream. A three course meal that was really good. When I'm back in Austin I'll definitely visit again!

Went for brunch and their $5 bottle of champagne brunch with entree purchase and I was incredibly happy with this deal. The restaurant is inside the Westin hotel which I was unaware of at first but as soon as you walk in you will see signs for Corinne to the left of the front desk. I think for what I ordered and received it was a great deal, a bottle of champagne, juice, and 2 entrees was under $50. The server was kind and worked quickly.

The biscuits were amazing. Perfectly sweet, savory and buttery. The texture was soft, crumbly and melted in your mouth. One of the best I've tasted. Crab croquettes were also really good and I loved the sauce!

Corinne is such a yummy brunch spot! They have all the classics and some Tex Mex favorites on the menu! I had the chicken tinga tostada which was so yummy and packed with protein! Our server was quick and always checking in to make sure we had enough coffee! They validate parking too which is always a plus at the domain instead of fighting for a spot in the parking garages.

Nothing to stir coffee with, no napkins.

We came in for brunch at noon on a Sunday. We requested a table outside, which was on a nice quiet patio. Our coffees were served in paper cups with no napkins or anything to stir in sugar or anything. Menu was pretty limited. My wife went with eggs her way, because there weren't any other options for her, really. Everything else was spicy or had crab on it. I ordered the Juevos Rancheros. Food was ok. My wife mentioned the paper cups thing, and they comped the coffees, which was nice, but shouldn't have been necessary. Then, when we were ready to go, she brought new coffees in real cups, but we didn't need more coffee at that point. Overall not a great experience. Not planning on coming back.

I've been to the location downtown, and I was thrilled that another location opened closer to me. I didn't have a reservation but was seated in about 20-30 minutes. My server was really nice, albeit the service was really slow. I ordered the crab croquettes (excellent!!) and the frittata (just ok). The biggest issue I had with this place was how loud it was. I felt like I couldn't have a conversation inside. So maybe I'll go back during off-peak hours, but not in the middle of weekend brunch.

Filet: simple presentation, cooked perfectly and the chimichurri was a lovely addition Bucatini: Al dente, great truffle flavor however a little on the salty side, not as balanced as I had hoped Indian flat bread: what a star, well done Bread pudding: this was lovely, I really appreciated the dark cocoa bitter notes in a traditionally super sweet dessert Nice staff, clean environment, plenty of seating

Corinne recently opened in The Westin in the Domain, so I was excited to visit since I don't go to the location downtown often due to parking. High quality, flavorful American steakhouse fare with some fun snacks/appetizers and drinks. It's a pretty decent restaurant for being in a hotel! Less upscale than other steakhouses in the area, and they also offer weekend brunch and lunch options. Service was a bit relaxed, but they are still relatively new. The General Manager checked in on our table a couple of times and everything was fantastic overall. If you're in the area and wanting to grab a more lowkey steak or just some apps and drinks, this is a good option! QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, in the Domain so plenty of parking at The Westin or around the Domain area. - Reservations? Yes, via OpenTable. Not required. FOOD RATINGS: - Navajo fry bread (5/5): Delicious! A flat dough bread that's fried. Served with a tasty hot honey-like butter spread that was super flavorful. - Deviled eggs (3/5): Tasted as expected but nothing to write home about. - Wagyu beef skewers (2/5): Disappointed in these. They were tiny, very chewy, and needed salt. Not worth ordering. You get 3 skewers. - Caesar salad (3/5): A solid salad, nothing special. I did enjoy the croutons! The dressing had a stronger anchovy flavor. - Filet mignon (5/5): Perfectly cooked (medium rare) and so tender, juicy, and flavorful! The chimichurri was great and the pommes puree were creamy. - Truffle bucatini (4/5): Pretty good pasta! Perfectly cooked and light truffle flavor. The sauce was creamy and delicious. You can add protein to it if you want.

Broccolini (top), Wagyu ribeye (top left), grilled halibut (top right), spicy shrimp pasta (bottom left), Mac and cheese (bottom right)

Lovely addition to the Domain! I have always heard great things about Corinne downtown and decided to take advantage when I happened to be in north Austin. Reservations were easy to make online. Dress code on the ressy says 'business casual'. Parking is tricky in this area during prime time, so I would give some extra time to walk over if you end up parking in a garage that is farther away. We were promptly seated and taken care of. They don't have a huge selection of cocktails and food, but if you order the right items you will be very pleased. For drinks, I'd recommend Strawberry & Me if you want something sweet and delicious. They also have good mocktails, such as the Universal Sound. Our favorite appetizer was the Navajo Fry Bread, which came with a delicious spread that paired so well with the salted bread - almost reminded me of a donut! And for entrees, the Spicy Shrimp Pasta is a must-get! It's rich in flavor and had us wanting more after each bite. We also enjoyed the Grilled Halibut. The other sides and salads were good filler items but the pasta was truly our favorite. Vibes were pristine and the food was great. We will definitely be back again!

From the moment we sat down, the service set a phenomenal tone for the meal. Our server, Avery, genuinely took the time to ask what we were interested in, thoughtfully guiding us through the menu with recommendations that were, frankly, unbelievable. Every single suggestion was spot-on. As for the food, every dish that arrived at the table was a masterpiece: The Brunch Plate: A beautifully classic, elevated breakfast. The sunny-side-up eggs were cooked to absolute perfection, seasoned with a light touch of pepper and spice. Paired with perfectly golden, crispy hash browns, savory sausage, thick-cut toast, and a rich fruit compote, it was a flawless, hearty start to the day. The Beet & Citrus Salad: A vibrant, refreshing standout. The earthy depth of roasted red and golden beets paired wonderfully with bright, juicy citrus segments, creamy crumbled cheese, and fresh greens. It was beautifully balanced, incredibly fresh, and a perfect contrast of textures. The Pesto Pasta: Absolutely spectacular. The pasta shape held onto the rich, flavorful pesto sauce perfectly, which was tossed with fresh spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, and tender chicken, all finished with a generous dusting of parmesan. It was savory, comforting, and packed with bright, fresh flavor. Between the flawless, attentive service and the phenomenal quality of the kitchen, they made this Father's Day incredibly memorable. We will absolutely be back!

Of course, I went for a patio table and while I didn't enjoy the occasional fly zipping around, the shaded and breezy tables were perfection on a Sunday afternoon. Our server was Jamie and he was absolutely a DREAM. I was fully prepared for that awkward wait at a table alone when you're lunch date is running late and you have no idea exactly how late... From the moment I was seated alone, Jamie introduced himself, was warm, and fully engaged in manifesting a wonderful experience. He was mindful about sharing just enough with me about the scratch to table mission they have at Doc Bs while saving the good stuff for when both my friend and I were present. My friend ended up going with their special and it was TO DIE FOR!!! I want to say it was Chilean Ahi Tuna Salad? It was some sort of voodoo magic seared onto the Tuna, and they present it like dominoes across the bottom of a giant pile of delightful, chopped salad. I did the Buffalo Chicken Salad, and I ate every crunchy blue cheese tickled bite! Waiting on a friend too? My safe go-to order was the Guacamole! They bring it out with the Sweet Potato Chips - HOUSE MADE and Jamie gave me Tortilla chips too in case my friend preferred something different. They have fans on the patio, so it's not too hot. I'd complain they didn't have the wine I wanted, but when they didn't have my first request, not only did they bring me my 2nd request, but the gentleman from behind the bar walked over a taste of a comparable wine to the one I had originally chosen and I absolutely appreciate that extra effort to make sure I felt valued and seen. Way to go, Doc Bs! **Note: When a fly decided to take a dive and a swim relay in my glass of wine, they didn't bat a lash and replaced the glass for me and seamlessly disposed of Fly Guy in all his drunken Memorial Day glory! Jamie is a treasure. That kid is going places, very impressive spirit.

Their Paper Plane is my personal favorite, and they also make a fantastic Old Fashioned. Both are well-balanced and crafted with care, which really elevates the dining experience. Overall, Roaring Fork continues to deliver on both food and service, making it a reliable spot for any occasion.

Vida Verde Kitchen -- A Hidden Gem That's Worth Finding…read more Austin is overflowing with trendy restaurants where the food is decent, the lighting is aggressive, and the wait time requires a light snack and a personality shift. I tend to avoid those places. Vida Verde Kitchen, thankfully, is not that. Tucked into a great area but slightly hidden (the kind of spot you feel proud to "discover"), Vida Verde feels like a restaurant that exists for people who actually want to eat, not just post. The menu is a thoughtful fusion of Tex-Mex, fresh flavors, and Americana--familiar enough to be comforting, but creative enough to keep things interesting. Yes, it's a bit overpriced, but the food earns its confidence. The guacamole is an absolute must, and anything leaning Tex-Mex is consistently solid. I can vouch. The wait staff deserves real credit here--knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in the food and experience, which goes a long way these days. The atmosphere hits that Austin sweet spot: industrial touches softened by lush green foliage. It's stylish without trying too hard, which is rare and appreciated. If I had one note? This place needs a happy hour and a few more solid specials. Do that, and Vida Verde becomes dangerous--in the best way. Overall: a unique, thoughtful restaurant that avoids the hype trap and delivers where it matters. Definitely worth your time (and thankfully, not hours of it).

I came here for a dinner during a work conference, and overall it was pretty good!…read more A new spot just over a year old, I thought the modern and green decor really brought a lot of life to the place. We were seated in the back and were given a chance to order drinks immediately. Sadly, the service after that point was unusually slow for our table. The rest of the people around us were getting served appetizers and their meals before our waitress even came back to take our order. The prices are a little higher than the best Mexican spots in Austin, so I'm glad that I wasn't paying for this meal. Once we were given a chance to order, I grabbed their Quesabirria tacos with rice and beans. The tacos were great. Super crispy and the meat was flavorful. The consomé was excellent to dip the tacos in. The beans were pretty good and the rice was decent Mexican rice, though not exceptional. I would maybe give it another chance if I was nearby, but after having to wait so long to order, I'm a little deterred from coming back, even if I thought the food was pretty good. RIYL: a well-decorated and modern Mexican restaurant

Their allocated bourbon selection is top notch. Price-wise is expected. I wouldn't personally say it was cheap but it's better than some other higher-end places with great allocated bourbons to try. Expect to spend 40-60+ for an ounce on the very hard to get items. Food was kind of mediocre to me. It was fine, though nothing was knock you socks off for me. The marinated steak was suggested by a friend, but tasted like marinated korean bbq. I would opt for something a bit more classic if you were to come here, unless you adore marianted kbbq, very similar flavor. French dip was tasty. Having just gone to house of prime rib in San Francisco, I think my prime rib and au jus setting might be a bit broken so it wasn't amazing. Just tasty. My partner ordered his steak medium and his steak came out very rare, perhaps even on the blue side. As someone who loves rare steak, it looked to be a bit rarer even for me. That was surprising as I'd expect a place like this to have dialed it in. Perhaps marinated makes it super easy to burn? However, kitchen did promptly address this and the chef(?) came out himself to make sure it was done properly. What surprised me, at the end, was we had a portion of our meal comped because of the mistake. Overall, I think it was worth trying. If you love rare bourbon, a great place to go to to try some of the higher end stuff before paying secondary on an entire bottle.

I have only been here for takeout during COVID and got the Famous French Dip Au Jus and ate it in my car and had a freak out moment as it was one of the best things I've ever tasted! We had a 4:30 reservation for my birthday (we were with a 6mo year old) and even at such a time, the place was packed! Little did we know how packed it would be as we were leaving! The host was exceptional at their job, checking us in and getting us to a very nice table and getting the baby a high chair (a very elegant one at that). Gabriel was our waiter and was super relaxed as he announced the specials for the night and got us our drinks. Poor guy would be running us about 6 iced teas each all evening but he didn't mind at all. In fact he went so above and beyond with the lemon and saccharine that it was insane. We ordered the following dishes (and no I'm sorry I didn't take any photos because I was 1) too in the moment and 2) was too overwhelmed with how delicious everything was): Asian Noodle Salad, Classic Cheeseburger, Famous French Dip Au Jus, Chimichurri Steak Sandwich, Apple Cobbler, & Key Lime Pie. We ate family style and it was just spectacular. My favorites were the Noodle Salad (add steak PLEASE) and the Apple Cobbler. Wow, just wow. Service 11/10 Food 11/10 (how can such a simple menu be so perfect?! I mean, how can you serve a dang burger like that?) Atmosphere 10/10 Experience 11/10 I can't wait to celebrate here again!
