    Ahi tuna steak

Great place for special occasions! Fine dining, excellent service (had the waiter from Louisiana..I think his name was Chris?) and the service for our party of 6 was perfect. Great views of lake with the comfort of AC. My sea bass was absolutely delicious and I loved the pinot he recommended from Oregon. Crab cakes good, maybe not the best I've had and I didn't love the stuffed mushroom appetizer but that's the only negative thing I can come up with (besides one said his elk steak was a bit overcooked), Two had the mixed grill and oysters on the half shell and they were very pleased. I try not to eat bread ..but whatever that delectable warm soft cheesy bread was ...I'm so glad I only had one before my entree arrived. One had a pasta he loved and one of our party raved about her Ahi Tuna steak. They presented our two birthday girls with lovely chocolate desserts that was enough for all of us to share. This western themed steakhouse is perfect to wear boots/cowboy hat or women to come dressed to the nines..but it's still Austin so no worry if you just want to come casual and enjoy the live entertainment on certain evenings on the deck It was basically $100 plate with gratuity, having appetizers one drink and dinner just so you are prepared.

Gross! Steak was more rare than the seared ahi! We were comped but had to hear from the manger that this is their medium rare. Very disappointing.

Their breakfast/brunch buffet is a must try. They have a nice selection of plates. My only observation is that the spot is small.. unless you go there as soon as they open, it just becomes a cluster mess of people. Most of the stations are manned by the weight staff with the dessert and cold foods being self served.. but they never have any plates near by, to self serve, Which means you will have to go hunt for a plate.

One of my favorite parts of the year is December because it is filled with social gatherings and it is always so festive. Holiday party #2 with a community service group. We were scheduled to have a brunch at Steiner Ranch Steakhouse overlooking scenic Lake Travis. We had an all-you-can-eat buffet. First, as you drive up the hill to reach Steiner Ranch Steakhouse you take in the beauty of the Texas hill country. Steiner Ranch Steakhouse sits at the top of the hill with scenic panoramic views. The building has a country feel with a Santa hanging off a pole on the outside entryway. Also, on the side of this building is their XS smokehouse. When you walk inside you experience true Texas flare - from the saddles sprinkled throughout the restaurant to Texas furniture and wall hangings. At the entry, in the spirit of the holidays, was giant cowboy toy soldier. It certainly embraces the theme that we do everything big in Texas. The food...the buffet is divided into four main sections 1) made to order omelets (beware: no egg whites) and carving station (ham, turkey, pork) 2) Main entree - mash potatoes, King casserole, meat balls, breads, etc. 3) Breakfast foods - pancakes, biscuits, gravy, eggs, migas, bacon, shrimp, etc. and 4) fruit, desserts, french toast, etc. Buffets are not ideal for me. I feel compelled to try a little of everything and do not eat all my food. Today's buffet was good and very filling.

Steiner Ranch Steakhouse is my absolute favorite restaurant to go to. The food is so amazing! I love how the food always comes out fresh and hot. The customer service is amazing! I love coming here. I rave about this restaurant to family and friends. Highly recommend.

I finally made it to Steiner Ranch Steakhouse and I am definitely going back. We were celebrating my birthday and made a reservation for 11:30. We got there a bit early, but our table was ready with a birthday message and we had a beautiful view overlooking Lake Travis. Our waiter, David, explained the setup and was very attentive during our meal. The brunch buffet had so many options from breakfast, lunch, and a carving and omelet station. I appreciated that the staff served you and kept the lids closed from a safety standpoint. All the food was delicious especially the huge pancakes, fresh pasta salad, and prime rib. My piece of advice is that gratuity was included for us, which was a group of four. I've never had that happen so be aware. Overall, I had a wonderful time and look forward to the next visit.

While in town the local owners took me to dinner here and I think it was great! From the biscuits to the steak to the cheesecake for dessert, it was all great! We had William as a server and he was fantastic as well. It's a great old ranch style steakhouse. Tuesday night and we would not have footed in without a reservation, make sure you set a reservation before you go!! Also, super cool menus that light up when you open them!!

The food and service here are genuinely top-tier. In fact, this may be one of the best steaks in Austin--and I say that as someone who has chewed my way through elite cuts across Texas and beyond. I especially appreciated that their signature steaks actually come with sides (crisp, fresh green beans and richly seasoned mashed potatoes) instead of the à la carte upsell so many steakhouses rely on. The restaurant itself is spacious, with a great outdoor area overlooking the Steiner Ranch neighborhood. But a couple of things kept the experience from being flawless--minor annoyances rather than deal breakers. First, the dining room is very dark. I'm all for ambiance, but our table didn't even have a candle, which may explain why the menu is backlit. Second, for a restaurant this large, having essentially single-use restrooms feels mismatched. I had to wait in line twice, and it wasn't even a particularly busy evening. Still, the service and the steak alone makes the trip worthwhile--and that's coming from someone who knows a great cut when he tastes one.

The wait staff was extremely friendly and attentive to detail! I ordered the Medallion Trio. It offers a great variety of flavors & the portion size was perfect.

Beautiful sunset, great band, and one of the best and softest starter bread baskets I've ever had in my life - even though it was probably 50% butter. It also feels like a mini Austin getaway. Probably one of the best prime ribs in Austin, and great value for the portion size too! Definitely recommend dinner and their happy hour as well. The wine is just a bit overpriced for the quality, but you gotta keep margins up somewhere I suppose.

Celebrated my parent's 50th Anniversary at Steiner Ranch Steakhouse. The restaurant is gorgeous! We sat in a private room with a great view of Lake Travis. The food was outstanding. The table ordered: Wedge salads, lobster mac & cheese, salmon, filets, short rib, fried lobster and Steiner burger. The food was on point! Suzanne was our server. She did fantastic! Such a nice gal. We'll be back for sure.

I visited Steiner Ranch for my anniversary while in Austin. First off, our server was amazing--super friendly and attentive, which made the evening feel special. We ordered the crab cakes, lobster-topped asparagus, and a steak. The appetizers were great, but when it came to the steak, I found it a bit underwhelming. I think I would've enjoyed it more if I had gone with a different cut like a New York strip or ribeye, as this one lacked some of the flavor I was hoping for. Overall, a nice experience with great service, but I'd choose a different cut next time. The dessert was a great touch the scenic views was the star of the show

Steiner Ranch Steakhouse has one of the best brunches in the city. You'll want to make a reservation as this place gets quite busy. You'll be amazed by the ambiance and decor. The buffet has almost every food you can think of or they can make food to order. They even have a carving station. I recommend ordering mimosas with your meal.

Wow! What an incredible experience at Sixty Vines in The Domain!…read more We made our reservation through OpenTable and mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. When we arrived at our table, we were surprised with a handwritten Happy Anniversary postcard and a beautifully presented gift--such a thoughtful touch that immediately made the evening feel special. Our server, Polina, was absolutely fantastic. She took the time to learn what styles of wine we enjoy and brought us a few samples before helping us choose an amazing wine flight. Her recommendations were spot-on! We also enjoyed a custom charcuterie board and the prosciutto & fig pizza, both of which were outstanding. To top it all off, Andrew, the manager, stopped by our table to make sure everything was perfect. We loved learning about Sixty Vines' unique wine-on-tap program and appreciated their commitment to sustainability, including composting food scraps. (They didn't have much to compost from our table--maybe a bite or two of pizza crust! ) The only disappointing part of the evening was that we had tickets to a show and couldn't stay longer to explore more of their incredible wine selection. That's just another reason we'll definitely be back!

When we arrived, our table was ready right away this time and it was a great table. It wasn't packed this time. It was busy still, but overall the place and environment is great. Our waiter was amazing. He was very attentive knew what to recommend and was very nice and a fun person also. This time we started off with a golden beats and let me tell you they were delicious and the cheese that they use at the bottom is just phenomenal. This is definitely something you need to get. We also started off with the muscles and they were delicious. The broth that they were in was so good. You could literally drink it and you just wanted to submerge your bread in it. I also got an espresso martini to wake up because I've been so jetlagged and it was perfect. it was a good balance of the espresso and not sweet. I love that they don't use milk here unlike other places. My mother got the opera spritz and it was delicious. Very well balanced. It was not Avril heavy like some places tend to do. My mother got the Braised pork pasta, and it was divine. This was full of flavor a good amount of sauce not salty. We also got the chefs butcher pizza and it was amazing. I loved that you can tell they make all the ingredients there and the bread is just so good. Also had some kind of sauce on there with some piece of cheese that just balanced it so good. Definitely thanks to this experience. I will say I will keep going back. I'm thinking maybe when I first swim they were just having an off day but now trying the rest of these dishes. They did really good and definitely a place to enjoy when you're at the domain.
