I wanted to get this for my book club soiree, but did not have time to make a visit as it is a little north of downtown. Antonelli's Cheese Shop is charming and quaint. While the shop is small they have an assortment of items to sell in addition to cheese - wine, sauces, jellies, etc. I was immediately greeted upon entry into Antonelli's cheese shop. Two other customers were being helped, however, I had a store associate offer me some cheese samples. While the samples were good, I was specifically interested in the three cream cheese. They had two choices to select from. I was hoping they had more. This is a shop you need to spend some time in to leisurely evaluate the cheeses. There was also a human size dog in the shop at the time. I don't know what is about dogs, they like to lick me. Guess what...I do not like to be licked. So, I jetted out of the store.

They have wine, jams/jelly/preserves. Chocolates, and olives. They also have premade charcuterie boards too. When I came, they were giving away free cheese everyday of the week. The first 100 people that were in line. Free cheese? Yes please. As you can imagine, there was a long line of people waiting, and with the store being small, we were sent in in small groups. Couple people come out, couple people go in. As the line shortens and you get to the counter. You're given your free cheese, and asked what type of cheese you like. I gave my favorites, soft cheese, like brie, hard cheese, like manchego I like spicy cheese like hatched chili cheese or a jalapeño cheese. So after giving some examples of cheese that I like the gentleman helping me brought out three different samples and we tried them together and loved every one of them so I chose which ones I liked out of the three and then we moved down the counter a little bit, and the gentleman brought out another selection of three cheeses, and I tried those and told him which ones I liked, and they were all phenomenal. The gentleman that helped me was very attentive. He listened. he gave examples exactly what I was asking for and it was absolutely beautiful experience. even though they were packed and crazy and had 100 people waiting outside. He just treated me like we were just one on one. He took his time with me. I thought it was such a spectacular experience very personable. I walked out with 5 different cheeses. A bar of orange chocolate with dried cherries. And a baguette. And let me tell you, I ate so good during our Texas ice storm 2026! So here's the down side. Parking. There are like 8 parking spots in front. And a couple parking in the back. But beyond the back, there is a small pay with a QR code parking. It's a bit of a struggle as far as parking goes. There is no street parking. But I'm sure when you're not dealing with 100 customers it's not as much of a struggle. There are 2 accessible parking spots out front. Had a great experience. And will come back again.

A new business acquaintance suggested we meet there and when we walked in, it was surprisingly empty. The manager was our server and he shared some history as he recently took over operating this location a year or so ago. He was well versed in wines and their wines were lower in sulfites so they were less tannic/dry, which is typically my preference in wines. He suggested a wine flight options if we wanted to try different wines, which was nice. We each told him our typical preferences and he created a custom flight for us. To me they were lighter and less bold than I prefer but it was good to try a few different kinds. She had two whites and two reds. I had four different reds. They have limited food options (i.e., two) so we ordered the hummus that was pictured with bread but they were out so they offered pita chips instead, which were fine. He did say that even though they had limited food options, we could order from El Dorado next door and they would walk it over when it was ready, which is very cool even though I typically don't think of Mexican food and wine going together. :-) The overall presentation of the food and glasses was more basic than I would have expected from a wine shop since I've done several wine tastings before, but the location is great and I look forward to checking it out again soon and trying some different wines!

According to Dane, this is how the process works, you come in taste test the wine, choose a wine you like and you can have a batch of that wine bottled with a personalized label. I was thinking of getting one bottle personalized. Wine 2 Wine is focused on bulk wine. While you can order one bottle, ultimately they are set up to produce in bulk. Some of their clients host bridal showers, parties or corporate gatherings.

We did have a faux pas as we did not realize that a paid adult had to accompany him. Kudos to the staff for giving us a hall pass and allowing junior to attend the class with us standing off to the side. He had a blast preparing dishes with his three teammates, making fresh pasta for the linguine and clam sauce, and even a desert pizza. The class was well organized and the chef instructor and assistants made sure everyone's dish was prepared and cooked to perfection. I did get a chance to sample the pasta course and it was excellent. This is a great date/family night, or Corp outing experience. Do take some time to browse the store. Sur La Table has high end kitchenware and cooking tools. So, why not a 5-star review? Well half way through the class we were informed that only one of us could be in the class area. The message could have been communicated to us a tad for professionally and customer friendly. I had a wine tasting with three different glasses of wine. The chicken empanadas were delicious with their red sauce. We also had the sausage. I had steak with rosemary potatoes. The steak was flavorful, the chimichurri was vibrant, and the portions were large. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. My partner had the carrots, which were also tasty with a slight smoky flavor. We had the dulce de leche cheesecake as well. It was very delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful.
