Hands down one of the best wineries/wines in Texas. It's a no-frills, come as you are and hang out kind of place. Frequent live music guests too. The owners Robert and Barbara, and their daughter Erika ran and manage the winery and make the wine. It's delicious... we have our favorites for sure, but all varietals are first-class! Lots of old Yelp reviews make this place look less impressive than it is! 5-stars across the board!

We were in the area and it was such a gorgeous day we wanted to find a place to enjoy a nice glass of chilled wine. We decided to check out Solaris Estate and it was a perfect little stop off. Not crowded at all despite the gorgeous weather, plenty of outdoor seating and space inside for tastings. The red grapes/wines are made from their harvest and they have a vineyard a bit more North for their whites. They apparently also leverage associates in Italy for some of their grapes. They have a decent selection of red and whites and two sparkling options. Their by the glass offerings are on the pricey side so we opted for a bottle of their sparkling rose - it was delicious. Light, bubbly and very refreshing for the daytime sips. The staff offered to recork our bottle since we didn't want to finish it between two of us, one needing to drive. Overall, a great little spot - the bathrooms are a bit of a let down but don't detract from the overall chill, relaxed vibes.

I pre purchased a wine tasting online and when we arrived they had a lively table set up inside with gorgeous tulips as a centerpiece. We were blessed to have the winery owner, Robert, to guide us through our tasting experience. We learned a lot about their winery and history and of course, the wine was great! Our tasting came with an amazing charcuterie board as well! I highly recommend Solaro!

Cheers!

How do you not give this place 5 stars. Hands down some of the best wine in Texas. Try their house white that has pear in it. My daughter said they "slayed" the charcuterie board. Amazing ambience and perfect for large parties.

We stopped here on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and it was a lovely treat. Apparently not many tasting rooms are open on Sundays, but this one was. They have a lot of space to spread out and it was perfect for an easygoing afternoon. We tried two bottles based on the recommendation of the owners. It turns out she was from Houston and went to my old high school. (Go Waltrip Rams!). They also have a tasting room in Houston. We'll be back again. The owner mentioned that you can volunteer to help with grape smashing so that might be fun to try. Cheers and enjoy!

It has been a few years since I've been to Solaro Estate & what a delightful surprise to see the transformation! We had a great time tasting and playing with their resident puppy! Wine was delicious, tasting room was cozy with friendly staff and the grounds were beautiful! We will be back for sure!

We had a great time! The wine, food and service was 10/10! It was an enjoyable relaxing experience! We can't wait to go back!

Beautiful winery that gives you extremely comfortable vibes. Perfect place to enjoy great wine in a casual environment. Plus the winery has amazing views. I ordered a red wine that was local as it is made from grapes they grow themselves. They do flights, glasses, or bottles. I split a bottle with friends and they re-corked it so we could enjoy later at home. There are also nearby breweries so you can make a day out of heading here.

This place has only been up and running for a couple of years, but it looks like they are finding their footing when it comes to the tasting room and the vineyard itself. The tasting room here has plenty a/c for the TX heat and is a decent size. There isn't a lot of seating inside, but there are patio chairs in the courtyard. You can get 5 tastings for $10. I thought this was kind of pricey for the amount you got. While I didn't love any of their wines, I can see myself drinking more than one glass of the Tempranillo. The vineyards are not grand, but you can taste the grapes! They have a some tasting bushes right next to the tasting room entrance. Sour and delicious!

Absolutely the best wine in Central Texas Hill Country. Owners are very personable and will stop to explain how they make their wines. The family has vineyards in Italy and they use Italian methods to make their award winning wines. We have been members for several years. Still our favorite wines ever!! Thank you.

Great wine! Super nice people that worked here. The wine tasted the best compared to two other wineries we went to.

Fear not, the factory (distillery) in Buda isn't going anywhere. The folks here told me the property and buildings are being taken over and another business will be coming in. It just makes me sad because we love it here. We love everything about it and took for granted that it will always be here. The tasting room and distillery are huge and so tastefully put together. See what I did there? Lol. The grounds are the epitome of Hill Country. Amazing views of wildflowers, brush, and sky all about. Lots and lots of outdoor patio seating, food truck area, large indoor seating, tasting bar, large ordering bars, gift shop, games, and lots more. I'm reviewing as they're leaving because this is another one of those draft reviews that I've been waiting to be finished for a long time. I gotta get better at that lol. Anyway, that matters not because this place still deserves an incredible review. Absolutely amazing drinks and people. It (was) a great way to wind down after a day of outdoor activity in Hill Country. A+++++

On another note, I was kind of surprised to find an all-California winery in the middle of Texas. I am sure there will be people who say the wines are automatically better because California, but that is not necessarily true. Still, I was intrigued. And yes, some of the wines were quite good. The Tempranillo was especially good (and the bottle was gorgeous). I might go as far as say it was one of the best Tempranillos I've had. But most of the rest that I was offered didn't really leave an impression. They were.. ok? I admit I am not a huge fan of big-bodied California wines generally, and maybe that was it, but even the white I had hit a little flat. The service also felt a bit off. It felt like other people came in and were warmly greeted, but I would just get my pour and a perfunctory description of the wine and that was it. I felt like the staff was very cold unless you were a regular.. but how does one become regular with that? I would still give it another try because people seem to really dig them.

We just popped in for some tastings since we were staying next door at Lucky Arrow Retreat. Everyone was nice, but we wanted to move where we were doing our tastings because the staff had to keep going behind where we were standing and we had to keep moving out of their way... but we were asked to not move because other people might want that other spot. Kind of awkward because we were there first, but we are pretty easy going so we just brushed it off (even though there was literally no one else doing a tasting at that time). I hope that they don't get so busy that they lose the customer service that we loved the first time and had us wanting to come back again. They've got an events hall, goats, a grotto, an inn (cabins on property for rent), playground for kids, and tons and tons of seating. Family-friendly and dog-friendly. They stress all dogs be leashed and have multiple signs advising this. Too bad a fellow patron ignored the rules with his off-leash dog who decided to wander over to us. After me telling him several times to leash his dog, his wife finally did it. I mean come on. I'm not going to let one bad apple ruin the review. It's not the fault of the brewery. This is such a cool, rustic, idyllic setting. They get extremely busy on the weekends but staff are fast and friendly with getting pour orders up. More than ample seating available. There's just so much available. Even with a lot of people in attendance, the amount of land allows for quieter areas should you choose so. The open fields have trees for shading as well. A couple of bathrooms across the property make it so you don't have to walk far from wherever you're located. I personally love the vintage Airstream converted to a bathroom. Well two actually, the Airstream has a men's and women's room. The covered patios are also large and have a dance hall vibe. Live music and deejays perform from under the covered patios. Food truck onsite (their own) & pizzas are made onsite too. The food looked really good though we didn't try any. We shared two pours (2-half pours) that were amazing. One was a sour which I don't normally like. This one, I liked. The table beer was perfectly refreshing on a hot summer day. Also had a hibiscus mint iced tea=yum. The beers are so special. Like the best of the best in craft beer world. Beers are made with water from their well and native wild yeast. The grains are locally sourced and certified organic. Other ingredients like fruit, herbs, etc. all come from Hill Country. You can absolutely taste the difference. Fantastic products and visit. Note: Because it's in the country and off the beaten path, the roads and parking lots aren't the best. Dusty with lots of rocks and deep holes. Be careful not to drive more than 5 mph.
