Absolutely Exceptional Experience at Stone House Vineyard! Our visit to Stone House Vineyard was pure perfection from start to finish! The chef's wine and food pairing was a masterclass in flavor -- each course thoughtfully crafted and beautifully balanced with the wines. Truly a bang for your buck considering the quality and experience! A special shoutout to Angelica, our wine connoisseur, who was beyond wonderful. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and never once rushed us, allowing us to savor every sip and bite at our own pace. Her passion for the wines made the experience even more special. Stone House Vineyard is the perfect wine spot -- breathtaking views, warm hospitality, and an unforgettable tasting that leaves you planning your next visit before you've even left. Highly, highly recommend!

Our first time experience here and we had the best time! Angelica was so kind and tentative. She was able to share details about the vineyard and wines. Service was excellent! The atmosphere on the porch was so relaxing and enjoyable. We will spread the word to friends!

As being a member of numerous wineries Stonehouse is one of my favorites. The views are immaculate when it's green season and the lake is an added ingredient to the ambiance. The service was people friendly, the interactions were not too many but from the time of the interaction everything went well.

Enjoying the lake view out back! #MEMBERS

Love this winery! The ambiance, the people, the wine, the views; it's the best! We always have a grand time when we visit to pick up wine.

Stone House Vineyard was a great experience!! The friendliness and vast knowledge of the staff was exceptional! Brendan was amazing, service-wise and discussing the wines, grapes and flavors. The wines are fabulous - most grapes being from Australia or CA with 1 estate wine with grapes from the vineyard. There is both inside and outdoor seating with multiple options for seating. Brendan even let us go to the members area (since it was our first time) that overlooks Lake Travis which was beautiful! Would highly recommend this winery!

We had a lovely experience at this vineyard. Angelica was very knowledgeable about the wines and was very nice to us. It was an absolutely beautiful and peaceful experience. The charcuterie board was also very tasty. It was not expensive. It was worth every penny!

Liz was fantastic delivering service during our tasting experience. She explained each wine in detail, and by the second glass, she had a perfect sense of our palate, recommending wines that matched our tastes beautifully. The grounds are stunning and peaceful--I enjoyed the visit so much that I became a member.

Just our little piece of bliss in Texas. They always make you feel like family and wine is good. They've added food recently and kudos to the chef - amazing!

Ok, it's a little off the beaten path from all other wineries in the area, but well worth the visit. They do require reservations, so don't forget to do that! They have a beautiful set up with great views and allow dogs on the outdoor patio. The staff is friendly and the wine is really delicious. We left with a couple of bottles!

Claros Reserve - locally grown Norton grape

Be aware that these people do not do anything without a reservation. They were nice enough to seat us but it was obvious there would be minimal service. The staff present were quite nice, just busy. We were allowed to buy wine to self serve on the back porch and were welcomed to be inside the tasting room or outside which was near the vineyard - very nice out there. Their vineyard was planted in 1999. That may be a little unusual for the immediate Austin area. The vines and the grounds are very well maintained. As far as the place, it is beautiful. It has the feeling of Napa but with Austin-area live oak trees. The property borders Lake Travis though it is barely visible from the tasting room area. There's an exclusive members only area that is on the lake. We purchased the Claros Reserve which is a Norton grape (hybrid) and is the grape grown on the estate. The wine was surprisingly excellent and cost $35. I think that, with a reservation, this would've been a superior experience.

The setting at Hawks Shadow Winery is gorgeous and the fact that you can take it all in while sipping wine on their patio makes it even better. Parking is great, many options available and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, truly passionate about what they do. We got the classic wine tasting for $15/per person which comes with a tasting of four wines although we were given an extra wine to taste in a testament to how friendly the staff is. There's something about sitting up in the hills with wine that just feels incredibly relaxing as a whole. THe view is breathtaking, you can see for miles up there across rolling green hills. It was windy when we were up there so you may want to wear clothes that are tighter fitting to you. The interior of the winery is modern and nicely put together. They sell different tiers of wine tasting alongside a charcuterie board and chocolates should you want a snack while there. One of the highlights is that they offer a cellar tour of their wines for free on request. We saw a large group taking advantage of that when we peeked down there. They were also incredibly accommodating of our dog while we were on the patio and brought him a bowl to drink from while out there. Free water bottles are also available to grab, which is very nice of them to put out for patrons. These are people who care tremendously about what they do and the land they do it on. They deserve all the praise we've given them and strongly encourage anyone looking for something to do in hill country to stop by, you won't regret it.

We just popped in for some tastings since we were staying next door at Lucky Arrow Retreat. Everyone was nice, but we wanted to move where we were doing our tastings because the staff had to keep going behind where we were standing and we had to keep moving out of their way... but we were asked to not move because other people might want that other spot. Kind of awkward because we were there first, but we are pretty easy going so we just brushed it off (even though there was literally no one else doing a tasting at that time). I hope that they don't get so busy that they lose the customer service that we loved the first time and had us wanting to come back again.
