Intero, amazing as always. We just had Emery as our server even though he is normally the Maître D.. he also makes an incredible server! The entire staff here puts massive effort, care, and intention into making your visit top notch. Emery and every table runner assured us that they take food allergy concerns very seriously at Intero. This place is so home-y and welcoming, its worth a visit for any occasion. The decor and lighting was well planned. Now the food: every bite is spectacular. The pesto burrata is crafted with perfection as it is accompanied with fennel olives and pistachios. The NA cocktails are elevated, unique, and tasty. Roasted potatoes? Soo garlicky and delightful. Then the wagyu strip.. wow. Cooked perfectly and the broccolini was seasoned phenomenally with a nice sweet, umami, smokey flavor. And finally the dessert! Don't miss the brown butter cake topped with cinnamon Gelato with a side of marshmallow creme topped with smoked candied pecans. Holy wow.. its so decadent, I definitely recommend sharing!

Arrived a few minutes past my reservation and was sat after a moment. The restaurant looks kinda decent from the outside and it's got a cool relaxed vibe with modern furniture and dim lighting. The sections are nicely divided and makes the space intimate. Jeremy was responsible for taking care of me and well, it started off a bit disappointing. After being sat, he walked by and said she'd be right back as he took dishes away from another table. The be right back turned into him checking on two other tables for their dessert orders and almost by passed me for the table sat after me. Not a great impression Once he greeted me and went over the concept as it was my first time visiting. Farm to table and things take a bit longer to cook so best to give the full order at once so they can time it out. Went with the focaccia bread with the ricotta and then the rigatoni with smoked duck. Let's just say every plate went back empty. I should have asked for extra focaccia breast to soak up the sauce. The flavors were amazing and the portions spot on to have you full but not stuffed. Dessert, I mean come on, I had to after the amazing dishes! Got the affogato with mascarpone gelato, mocha coca crumble. Delicious, never knew I liked affogato so much! Jeremy was more attentive thought out the meal and overall service was amazing.

Nothing but good things to say! All of our dishes were consistently GREAT. Usually one dish is superior, but they were all wonderful. The sourdough bread came with a wonderful whipped butter that didn't last long. The main dish was a wonderfully grilled red fish with a very refreshing side salad. To top it all off was the brown butter cake, wished there was more of it! Our waitress was very helpful and attentive throughout the night. Parking may be difficult on the busy weekends since it's a smaller lot, may wish to consider ride sharing to the restaurant.

Finally visited Intero this past weekend to celebrate my birthday with my girlfriend. The restaurant has a lovely, cozy, romantic ambiance. Our server was attentive, friendly, and proactively shared recommendations with us. We opted for cocktails instead of wine, due to their extensive and impressive cocktail menu. These drinks did not disappoint! Booze forward and crafted beautifully. For food, we ordered: 1. Burrata appetizer, served with two pieces of crispy bread and drizzled with fresh pesto. Every bite was bursting with flavor. Hands down my favorite item of the night. 2. Redfish entree, served with fermented vegetables and baked polenta. The fish had a subtle flavor but was cooked to perfection and was very enjoyable. The polenta was fantastic and I liked the tang of the vegetables. 3. Mafaldine Bolognese. The handmade pasta was phenomenal - fresh and tasty. Unfortunately I did not enjoy the sauce. It was very thick and pasty, which was not what I expected. Since it was my birthday, I was allowed to select an item from the dessert menu (free of charge) which they served with a candle. Very appreciative of this! I chose the brown butter cake and savored every bite. While the pasta sauce was a let down, the rest of the meal was great. I hope to come back and try more of their menu in the future!

    Phony Negroni

The quality of the ingredients and freshness of each plate are supreme, but the flavours were lack luckster to me. I tether between giving it a 3 or 4, but my disappointment in the flavours refuses to give up. The Phony Negroni was quite good. It tasted like a cocktail but didn't have the alcohol. Definitely will get this again if it aligns with my mood. I opted for two mains because I really wanted to wanted to explore their big dishes. So I ended up with the Roasted Duck Breast Risotto and Ricotta Gnocchi. The Risotto was pretty bland to me, which is a shame because it was prepared and plated very well. I think every thing in the plate could've been stronger: the salt and pepper levels, the cheese, and the beets sauce. At least the portion was generous. The Ricotta Gnocchi was significantly better. The gnocchi was incredibly toasty and fresh, the sauce had a small punch, and the pork ragu was a decent protein. But I think the sauce could've been stronger. I want to be popping the gnocchis in my mouth as if they were msg filled chips. Maybe it's intended to be a bit mild to pace the dish, but at least the price was respectable and decently seasoned. I got two chocolate truffles: apple cider and a peanut butter based one. The difference between the two are quite small and neither tasted spectacular. They can be purchased at the counter in bulk, but I'd be much happier getting a Forrero Rocher or Ghirardelli. Finally I got the Brown Butter Cake, which was quite good and sweet. Folks with a sweet tooth will definitely approve of this one because it is a roasted sugar bomb. This was the best thing by far, but I unfortunately wasted most of the Ice Cream because it melted away and I was too full. All in all, I could definitely see the appeal and understand why other folks love this spot. The vibes with the dim lights and freshness of the plates are definitely there, but most importantly the flavours did not land for me. They rotate their menu based on the season, so I will consider coming back to taste a different perspective.

This restaurant is gorgeous on the inside, dark and mysterious. We walked in and were able to get a table immediately. Food is all local, farm to table and delicious. Also reasonably priced too!

I was really excited to try this place after hearing so much hype, especially because I was told the pasta could be made gluten free. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being a bit underwhelming. Because I'm also dairy free, my options were pretty limited, so I went with the gluten-free bolognese. It was... fine. Not bad, but not memorable, and definitely not what I expected given how highly recommended this restaurant is. My mom ordered the arrabbiata pizza, which also landed in the "meh" category--nothing wrong with it, but nothing that stood out. My boyfriend, on the other hand, got the ricotta gnocchi, and that was honestly pretty stinking good--the clear standout of the table. What really saved the experience was the service. The host and our server were incredibly kind and welcoming, which genuinely made the night more enjoyable and helped soften the disappointment with the food. Overall, I wanted to love this place more than I did. If you can eat dairy, you'll probably have a better experience, but for those with multiple dietary restrictions, it may not fully live up to the hype.

    Kampachi crudo

Service: Our server was largely absent throughout the evening, she only came to our table about twice. Other staff members cleared our plates, and we had to refill our own water glasses and ask for a new bottle when it ran out. On the plus side, the manager did comp our dessert due to a wait on our entrees, which was a thoughtful gesture. We also received complimentary prosecco for our anniversary and house-made chocolate at the end. Ambiance: The restaurant has dim lighting, which is nice, but art felt inconsistent and unfitting. We also had an air duct right next to us, which was weird. Chairs were quite uncomfortable. Food: We started with kampachi crudo, which was absolutely divine and had layers of flavor in every bite. Each component worked in perfect harmony. Rigatoni with smoked rabbit : the dish was overwhelmingly salty, to the point where only the horseradish cream could cut through it. While the rabbit was very well-cooked and the mushrooms were excellent, the salt completely dominated the dish and threw off the balance. The pasta was just okay. Bucatini: The pasta itself was very delicious with great texture. It had a great umami flavor coming from aged cheddar, but again - too much salt. Grilled gulf redfish: This one had multiple issues. The fish was beautifully cooked and flavorful, but everything else was not good. The corn brodo was very thin and watery. The "crispy" polenta wasn't crispy at all. The marinated mushrooms felt completely out of place and didn't complement the dish. There were also mint leaves and drops of an acidic green sauce that clashed with everything else on the plate. The components felt like they were fighting each other rather than creating a cohesive dish. Slow roasted porchetta: The pork was properly cooked, and I appreciated the refreshing cucumber and feta combination. However, the dish didn't have that "wow", it was quite forgettable. The House ham pizza with taleggio: we wanted to try taleggio, which turned out to be an interesting experience that i have enjoyed. Dough was fine. Cinnamon butter cake - the ice cream, sauces and nuts were very good, but the cake itself was quite dry.

    Buccatini w corn

Came at a 5pm on a saturday and they had walk in seats for the bar. Everything else was booked! Bucatini w/ corn- (4/5)- would definitely get this. Their most popular dish. It has a nice creamy cheesy savory flavor. Very yummy and the texture and chew of the bucatini was nice Gnocchi pesto- 4/5- i overall personally would prefer the bucatini in flavor. But the pesto is really good for a pesto. Feels like an elevated fresh version, with the hint of mint and the sunflowers seed, making the bite really interesting. If you like pesto think you would like this. My friend thought this was the most interesting dish of the night Timballo (2/5)- would skip this one. We all agreed the rest of the dishes were way better. the crispy risotto rice had a nice crispy texture. Tasted like a hash brown. That was the best part of the dish. Overall the flavors felt like they didnt really go together for me. The apple had like a vinaigrette and the meats bbq sauce, and slight hi t of mint and the rice all felt like very different pieces Butter cake w pecan (5/5)- sooo good!! Really recommend this one it tastes very sweet. And then the hint of cinnamon comes through and the cake has a nice crisp layer and then softness. Was one of the best dishes for me. Also a decent size and good price for a dessert that 3 ppl were able to split Overall it was a nice meal and i understand why people mostly get the bucatini and buttercake

Awesome food. Awesome service. Awesome ambiance. We walked in to a dim, intimate space with the perfect hustle and bustle around us. The waitress was amazing at recommending dishes to pair with what we wanted, and she was a joy to converse with. The rabbit rigatoni was fantastically rich, and the bolognese had such fun noodles in a hearty sauce. The rigatoni was well made, but the peaches really tied it together. An absolute standout was also their homemade chocolate! Just wow! Overall, we had a great experience and would love to come back to explore more of the menu.

Had a 12/10 experience at Interio. The service was phenomenal. I wish I remembered our waiter's name! He was fantastic - want to give him a huge thank you! I want the biggest takeaway from this review to be that the sourdough focaccia & ricotta dish is an absolute MUST!!!!! Both are perfection. (Note: they bring a second plate of focaccia after you finish the first - very thoughtful so it's nice and warm) The redfish dish was great, my favorite part being the mushrooms. As a matter of fact, the mushrooms were my favorite part about the rigatoni dish as well. DELICIOUS. Even my friend who isn't crazy about mushrooms enjoyed them. The bucatini was cooked exceptionally. I wasn't a fan of the sharp cheddar flavor, but that's not a critique on the cooking. The corn complimented the pasta really well. The chocolates were good! We got the caramel (my fave) and a peanut butter one. The chocolate pieces in the center were free and just as tasty! In conclusion, Intero is awesome, and I look forward to my next trip!

Intero really impressed us! The ambiance is lovely as soon as you walk in with dim lighting and candles. Our waitress let us know that it was happy hour, and we ordered the "what are you doin here?" and "man of mystery" to drink. Both were very high-quality and tasty. We split the house-made burrata, which was excellent and also part of the happy hour. For entrées, I ordered the bucatini and my husband had the bacon pizza. My bucatini was SO good. The cheese sauce was delicious with the hint of chili oil, and the pasta had perfect texture. Might be my favorite pasta I've had in Austin. We had the brown butter cake for dessert which was also really yummy. I love a cinnamon ice cream, and it paired perfectly with the cake.

TL;DR: Perfect date spot to impress someone, costs a pretty penny but is so worth it! Food: The food is delicious and filling, we left feeling so satisfied. + Focaccia with ricotta ($10) There is a really nice crispiness to the breadcrust, yet the inside of the bread is extremely airy and soft. The ricotta has a light sweetness and honey to it. There is a nice fresh herb aftertaste. I could not get enough of the ricotta, it's light and the perfect amount of sweet. + Rigatoni with smoked rabbit ($28) You can definitely tell that the pasta is home-made as it has a little bit of a doughier texture, but in a tasty way(?) (it's hard to describe, but it's really good pasta!). The rigatoni hold sauce extremely well too. The real star of the show is the smoked rabbit though...wow. It is so incredibly tender, and it has a little bit of a gamey taste to it. Overall, such a delicious dish! + Mafaldine with bolognese sauce ($24) I would pick the rigatoni over the mafaldine dish overall, but pasta wise, the mafaldine pasta is better! It's such a fun shape that's hard to find. This dish kind of reminds me of a light lasagna? It's flavorful, and the rosemary is a nice touch to give a fresh aftertaste. + Grapefruit sorbet ($7) We were already so full about the entrees, but we really wanted to try at least one of the desserts because they sounded so good. The sorbet has a distinct grapefruit taste, but it isn't overdone. The crumble is fine enough where you get a little bit of crunch in each bite but it doesn't get in the way of the sorbet. Service: The service here is great and very friendly! We were running late on our reservation because of bad traffic, and they were very understanding. We were able to still get a nice table despite arriving nearly 20 minutes late. Our waiter Jeremy was great and helpful in choosing wine and dessert. Without us even asking, he also was aware that we wanted to split the dishes family-style and accommodated that! I had such a positive experience here, and I definitely want to come back! Ambiance: We got an outside table, but there is a heat lamp nearby and the entire patio is covered so no cold from outside is actually felt. I want to try reserving a table indoors next time as the dim lighting with candles looks so nice. The restroom is nice too -- very clean with good quality paper towels.

She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. Most mocktails with NA liquor have honestly tasted a bit weird and a bit off. I usually have one and call it a day. However, I really enjoyed the first one that I tried the second one, which I also liked. The bartenders work amazingly fast and take multiple drink orders at a time and don't miss a beat! There's street parking and during weekdays, it's free to park after a certain hour.

But I should know not to get my hopes up... Storytime... We had a resy for 8 at 9:45 for a birthday, we arrived at 9:45 there was no clear spot to check in, we asked around and they pointed us to the water station by the entry. After finally being greeted, we were told our section wasn't ready, the other party hadn't left yet. The server / hostess seemed frazzled and kept running around trying to get us a section and talking to people about leaving. We stood there waiting for about 30 minutes. Then we were finally seated in a section barely big enough for 6, we were crammed in like sardines, sweatin. We asked the parties next to us if they could push over a bit so we all could fit, luckily they were friendly and accommodating. We were greeted not too long after being seated, Our order was taken by the first server, It took about 30 minutes for drinks and food to start to come out. The birthday girl ordered a hookah and it took an hour and a half for it to come out. Then we were not checked on for about an hour, We finally ordered more drinks and then we never received them, We asked three different servers and were told several times that they were taking care of it and it was never taken care of, We left at 1:15 without ever getting our additional orders. One of the servers told us that the bar was crazy busy and that they were probably making our drinks and people at the bar were just taking them. So chaotic. We were finally helped by Heaven and Summer at the end around 1:00 a.m. when we asked to pay for our tab. Of course the tab was all wrong because it had all of the drinks we ordered that we never received. Again, chaotic. I felt bad for the birthday girl because she was really excited about being there for the first time with all of us and the experience was subpar at best. I will say, the best part was the DJ, HellaYella. And the jerk lamb chops. Also, If and I mean if, We ever go back, We will not reserve a section like that and we will get our drinks at the front bar and sit out on the nice patio. We'll see.

I went to Busy Signal for their UT/UGA game football watch party. If you don't like outdoor seating or standing, I wouldn't recommend going to a watch party unless you reserve an indoor table via Eventbrite. They also offered $1 wings & $5 drinks, which were delicious! However, the server told me they only offered this special for the 1st half of the game. After 30 minutes of waiting, my server told me that everyone & their momma ordered a bunch of stuff at the same time since the food/drink special was for a short period of time, which resulted in extremely long wait times for food. The Eventbrite page didn't mention that the special was only for the 1st half of the game, which led me to believe that management pulled this not-so-bright idea out of his anus at the last minute. I waited over an hour for my food & when it finally arrived, it was not the flavor I asked for. The servers are very kind & had a great attitude despite the chaos. The food at this place is always really good. But the overall experience and timely delivery of food during their football watch party left a lot to be desired. I'm going to give this place one more try because you can't beat $1 wings (that actually are very flavorful) & $5 drinks on GameDay. However, I wouldn't go on an empty stomach. I also hope they expand their special for the whole entire game like it was the last time I went for UT/Oklahoma. ***UPDATE*** I returned for UT/Texas A&M. I paid $60 to reserve a table indoors. The service was a lot better! I really enjoyed DJ Hella Yella playing music during commercials. The overall vibe was great this time around. My initial review gave this place 2 stars, but now I'm giving it 3 stars.

It's been around since 2018 so most folks know where it is by now. Heads up, you no longer have to use their app to make a reservation. Simply do so through Open Table and that's when you'll get the entry code. So glad it's no longer a members-only spot as well. The basement location gives anything but a basement vibe. When you enter, you'll see the infamous black paint on white walls mural but then you're transformed into something more. An elegant and elevated high-end speakeasy that transports you to what life in speakeasy settings must have felt like in the days of olde. Who doesn't love being greeted by a tasteful, giant, fake bear with welcome cocktails? The low-lit space brings a feeling of warmth, secrecy, romance, and mystery. You absolutely get the feeling you're in a special and secret hideaway space. From the refined wallpaper to hand blown glass lighting fixtures to the lush and velvety sofa seating, you are truly immersed in the vibe. It brings a feeling of noir and romance with even sexier drinks. Being seated in one of the nooks is my favorite and just really adds to the overall experience. If you follow my reviews then you know I often refer to excellent cocktails as liquid works of art. And, in this case, it's like the most exclusive, high-end art gallery of liquid masterpieces. Cocktails with branded cubes, top tier alcohol and other ingredients from around the globe make for a worthy piece of drinkable art. It doesn't end with cocktails! The mocktails are equally as beautiful and delicious. I highly recommend the cocktails and mocktails. Service is exactly what you would expect and want it to be in this environment. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than average but you're paying for art, atmosphere, and experience that is beyond wonderful.
