Nice! I ordered in twice and the first time was great. Pizza was great. The second time, our DoorDasher sent a note saying that he blessed us and that every delivery was a chance to pray to God. No offense, but it was a little intense. Anyways, definitely recommended. read more

Pretty solid cheese pizza that's thin, New York style. It used to be better, in my opinion, a few years ago but still a solid slice-to-go kind of place. Service was friendly and fast which we appreciated. This is a walk-up food trailer type of place. No indoor seating and only a small covered pavilion for seating that shades you from the elements. There are open picnic tables for seating also. It's always a good go-to pizza place for quick, quality pizza! read more

They are always so friendly and helpful here. I got it to go and the cheese was falling off the pizza. I should have asked there for a box but didn't think of it. I let him know I appreciated the Burnet Road location and he thanked me for being a loyal customer. It reminds me of New York pizza. read more

Came to Mate it's 8:30 PM. Wanna order a sandwich a bread, then I asked for a cup of ice I was even going to pay for it and they don't have any ice either! How can a restaurant run like that ???? Geeezzz no thanks thank you so much I did ask if they could, yea didn't go either. And I love this place. I love coming here. It was fine. Too expensive for a slice and it just had no taste whatsoever. But it had a nice crisp to it. I wouldn't recommend coming here or take friends/family but I'd probably swing by again and pick up a slice. Got a chuckle with the "gonna ask you a question" - tipping culture and pizza slices. I'm from the East Coast. East Coast pizza is the best. Period. Ok, now that I've gotten that out of the way, I'll tell ya I was surprisingly happy with this spot located a few doors away from my apartment. The slices are so super thin like what you'd expect in New Haven. The sauce is unique and yummy. read more

Before the Longhorn an Aggie game the wife and I stopped by to grab some pizza. A customer was outside and said there was delicious food was over there at the window. The pizza shop is a walk up. I did not see a dining room. There were picnic tables in front of the window. The gentleman at the window let us know of a buy one slice get one free. They were for pepperoni, sausage, and vegetables. No substitutions. We had the pepperoni special. If you love thin and I mean thin crust pizza this is the spot for you. The crust was crazy thin. Only thing is there was really no taste to the crust. It being so thin at the edges tasted burnt. The tomato sauce was on point. It was not overly acidic. And just enough not to make that thin crust soggy. The cheese was ok. Nothing too special. Pepperonis were another outstanding part of the pie. I hope you all enjoy. read more

It's great pizza. While not cheap, I'd say it's fairly priced for what you get, especially compared to some other needlessly overpriced competitors. It's just solid all around and the staff is very friendly. read more

I picked up a couple of pies here on election night. We got two large pies the meat lovers and their supreme. The pizzas were really delicious and topped with plenty of toppings. The pizza doesn't have as much sauce as I would like but the staff is super friendly and very accommodating on a busy night. The night I went they had trivia night going. It was very lively place with activities throughout the week. They also have pizza by the slice if you are looking for a fraction of a whole pie. read more

Quick and easy pie shop with outside seating. Sells by the slice. Has a single cheese slice and as it goes for pizza, it was just OK. Super thin crust and not a lot of big flavor. Very simple. ~$5 for the slice. read more

I ordered four slices of pizza (two supreme, two pepperoni) from East Side Pies at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport using the self-service kiosk. Since it was my first time ordering there, I watched how they boxed orders and saw another customer receive two slices in one box, which I appreciated, since I had a long walk back to my gate. When my name was called, I was handed two boxes. I thanked the staff and left, assuming each box had two slices like the customer before me. But when I got back to my gate, I realized I'd only received two slices total... half my order. I walked all the way back to explain and show my receipt. Instead of apologizing, the staff became defensive. One worker claimed I wasn't there when the rest of my order was called, even though I was handed the boxes directly. I calmly tried to explain the confusion, but was met with dismissiveness and zero accountability. No apology, no offer to correct the mistake. The pizza I did receive was cold by then and honestly not worth the hassle. Customer service matters, especially in an airport setting. I won't be returning to East Side Pies, not because of the pizza, but because of how poorly I was treated over a simple misunderstanding. A little respect and a basic apology would've made all the difference. read more

I liked the vibe of this place. The guy who took our order was super chill and I like that they have the option for them to choose your order based on what they think you would like. The pizza was good. They have good slice deals but the pizza slices looked like they had been out for a while so I got a pepperoni and jalapeño pizza. We sat outside and it was cute back there. read more

This was ordered through a third-party app and the process was smooth and efficient as the food came promptly. There were lots of different pizzas to choose from with a lot of creativity it seemed like too. I had the Marge (18'' for $28.80) and the Lu' (18'' for $29.25). The Marge was just a margherita pizza. It was of the thin crust variety and held up nicely. There was a light amount of sauce, but a nice balance with the cherry tomatoes and mozzarella. I was very surprised how good the crust was though. The Lu' consisted of bacon, pineapple, ham, and jalapenos, essentially a Hawaiian pizza. Again, it was a thin crust that was very tasty. I enjoyed the balance of the pineapple and jalapenos. It was a pleasant sweet and spicy combination. Will I go back? Probably. read more

Had the veggie and the wifey had pepperoni. Warm, tasty, fresh. No complaints! Cheap dinner for downtown. Friendly service. It's an old school walk up location. Not so great on a rainy day so we are in our car. Reminds me of my younger days eating pizza on a counter up against a wall watching traffic go by. And making the most out of our Parmesan and red peppers packets! This can only be eaten by folding it so don't try to be fancy. read more

Great place to get tasty, fresh ingredient, thin crust pizza if you're okay with spending a bit more. In this location they have a few picnic tables and then a covered outside area slightly behind the ordering counter. Great corner location around other businesses and lots of close street parking and a few parking spots in front. I do think they are a bit too expensive to go regularly. We ordered one 10" specialty pie and it was $16! We ordered the Nicola, that has meatballs, red onions, jalapeños, red bell peppers, and Gorgonzola cheese. It was a great combination of flavors that I have never tried before, but would defiantly order again. They have a lot of choices and can even create your own pie. They have started offering beers for the low price of $4 from Austin Beerworks which is super cool. We were the only walk-up customers around 9pm, but there were a few to-go orders people picked up. We did have to wait quite a bit for our small pizza and our staff experience was just fine not memorable or helpful in any way they just wanted to go home it seemed. read more

I LOVE east side pies-- it's the closest thing I've gotten to authentic pizza here in Austin, however, I want to shout out "Makayla" for her awesome customer service today. I made a Uber order for a few items (which I've never done before because I live down the street) and one of the strambolis I ordered came with only half! I tried to report it to Uber and they did nothing. When I called the store directly, Makayla was very attentive and did her best to contact Uber to give me a refund (which they did not) however she still made an effort to make sure I was credited by the store personally. She was very delightful and understood my concern, even though it was a small convenience in this world right now. However, it's service like that that keeps a business reputable, and keeps someone like me coming back time and time again. Thank you for your help Makayla read more

Pizza was meh. Just not that great and a bit pricey for the size. Got the Hawaiian one with jalepenos and it was pretty crunchy and didn't have much sauce, cheese, or toppings. Not the worst pizza you can get around here by any means but certainly not the best. read more

As an Uber Eats driver working away for hours on end, constantly dashing all over the city picking up and delivering orders, I rely on using the restrooms at the restaurants where I stop--it's just basic human decency after being on the road all day with no other options. Every single place I've ever picked up from has allowed this without issue... until I showed up at Eastside Pies. This rude female employee flat-out denied me access, coldly informing me that their restrooms "aren't public" and sneering that if I needed to go so badly, I should "go elsewhere." Absolutely disgusting treatment of hardworking delivery drivers who are literally keeping their business afloat! read more

Horrible delivery service. Don't order for delivery unless you want to wait for 2 hours.

Great food awesome service! One of the best pizza spots in town. Try the Italian beef. It is divine.

Yum. Thin and crispy crust, large slices, sufficient tomato sauce which is complete necessary, and melted cheese with yummy high quality toppings. I was in heaven. Incredible pizza!! We got the guiche and wish we could get it back in Ohio. Will definitely order again when back in Austin.

Yummy! Got a personal size vegan pizza with garlic and peppers and an abundance of veggies, and boy was the sauce spicy! A little too spicy for my pallet, but I definitely think I'd go again and get something a little less spicy. The veggies were cooked deliciously. The crust was thin crust, and typically I love thin crust, but this crust was so thin, it was like eating a cracker. I also got a vegan sugar cookie and it was amazing. Nice & soft. Overall, I think I'd definitely go back & try some other sauces, veggie combos, & crust types. Very grateful they have lots of vegan options! read more

As a tourist, I dig eating local fare wherever I go. I imagine there are Austin pizza connoisseurs who cherish this pizza and think it's amazing--all the kudos. It's just not my style of pizza. Our service experience was "here it is...take it or leave it...whatever." approach. I don't know, that just doesn't sit right with me. But if that's their vibe, you do you. We had planned on each ordering a slice of pizza, but when we got there around 9pm or so on a weeknight the slices of pizza looked real tired, sad and plain. I wasn't going to eat any of those. So as a group of three, we switched our game plan and ordered a whole pie. Wait time was about 15-20 minutes. We had a 5 minute walk to our Airbnb. By the time we got home the pizza crust was soggy and limp. I appreciated the fresh veggies and how light (not greasy) the pie tasted. All and all, next time in Austin, I'll be looking to try a different Austin pizza experience. This just wasn't my jam. Not terrible, but not a repeat. July 2019 read more

We ate here after having consulted several locals about their favorite pizza place. The service was subpar. To be honest, the employees all looked like they couldn't possibly have cared less if they tried- and they weren't willing to try at anything, including friendly customer service. The food was okay. That being said, there's a commercial that says "just okay is not okay", and I think that applies here. With so many amazing pizza and other food options around, why settle for okay? read more

My husband is gluten sensitive. We had ordered gluten-free pizzas in other places before, some of them still made him sick, some of them just don't have good variety. East Side Pies offers gluten-free pizzas for their signature pizzas as well. My husband's favorite is the Buchemi but really everything else he ordered before he liked it. My favorite is Stagger Lee. Really can't do wrong with a supreme pizza. My son usually opts for the Mizza. So many other unusual pizzas to try. Next time, I'll be adventurous and try out the chimiccurri sauce pizzas! read more

Walking into this "food truck" will make you think twice about whether you're in Austin or New York City. When you enter the tiny restaurant, you're greeted with huge slices of pizza behind a glass case, one smiling cashier, and a couple of take out boxes and water cups. Each slice was around $3.75 and pretty large - not enough to fill you up but satisfying if you're craving a pizza slice. This shop definitely does Pizza the NY way - Big and thin. I ordered a slice of Italian sausage with cheese. They pop the slice in the oven for you for extra crispiness. The sauce and cheese were tasty and the crust was just right, but the sausage could have used a little more flavor (surprising since Italian sausage is generally packed with flavor.) The fiancé got the red sauce veggie pizza and it was quite good! There were Roma tomatoes, kale and beets on the pizza. It was different but flavorful. My only complaint was that the veggie slice's crust was burnt. We ended up not completely finishing the crust since it was too bitter with the burnt-ness. Overall, there are definitely better pizza places but if you're craving some good slices on the go, come here and pick out a slice with a non-burnt crust. read more

Emotional support slices. All day long. Feeling down? Just go get a slice. Take a walk. East side pies can teleport you to simpler times.

Passed this location for a few years now, made the trip from S Austin for a few slices. 15/20 min in to waiting for 3 slices hostess/cashier has some personal visitors.
