Got a "Wilbur" while enjoying pints from Barking Armadillo. We are pretty picky (and particular) about our pizza, and it has to be pretty tasty for us to consider it a "destination" spot. We've been patronizing Barking Armadillo brews for years, and this was our first visit to this new location. Overall, this place was okay. The service was quick, and the pizza was decent. I say "okay" because I'm a bit particular (and picky) when it comes to pizza. My wife and I ordered the Umbertino and the Ohana pizzas. The Ohana was overly sweet for a Hawaiian-style pizza because of the honey. I expected the spicy honey to add some heat, but it leaned more sugary than spicy, so it wasn't really my thing. The Umbertino was essentially a pepperoni pizza, which I preferred, and it was fine. The crust/dough is very gooey and on the thicker side, so if you're into thin, crispy crust, I probably wouldn't recommend this spot. That said, the quick service is what pushed this to a 4-star review overall. The pizza was okay, but the quick service stood out. read more

Cute, simple eatery located on the corner spot of a small center in Georgetown. We went late for dinner on a Saturday to try this fairly new place. Very spacious and casual inside. The pizza place is towards the back, with a separate bar collab in front of it. Staff were great and ordering was simple; however, they did note issues with their soda machine and Coke provider while we were there. Pizza is freshly made with good ingredients (we got the margherita pizza) but the bottom of the crust was overly blackened and added some burnt bites into the mix which was not appealing. We also ordered a side of ranch for crust dipping but I would recommend skipping as it is definitely thick and store bought vs. made in house. Recently opened inside the new Barking Armadillo on Westinghouse, they're the food for the bar. Bahler makes good pizza and their crust is the right balance of crispy and chewy. Their recipes are a little different, giving you exposure to some interesting flavors (pistachio on pizza? Yes!). The problem? One size - too big for one. Two or more of you? Great option. Great sourdough pizza! I love sourdough and I love pizza so why not the two together?! Not your typical crust, it is thin and chewy as you'd expect from sourdough, I enjoy it very much. Ingredients from sauce to cheese to toppings are all top notch. I ordered online and they had a very busy day today and were short handed so there was a little bit of a wait, but the owner (?) was transparent about wait time and was very apologetic. Opening day and this place hits the spot, even with a giant crowd! Located in the same building as Barking Armadillo Social, with an order at the counter set-up. We got six pies, the Umbertina, Romeo, Godfather, Inferno, Margarita, and Wilbur. All were amazing honestly, with my favorites in order being the Romeo, Godfather, Wilbur, Inferno, Umbertina, and Margarita. We also got a house Italian salad which was good but needed more dressing. I didn't think any place held a candle to Bufalina Due, but this place comes REAL close. With this being three minutes from my sister's house, I can see it being a frequent stop when I visit her. read more

Great quality pizza, in a comfortable space. This is Neapolitan style crust, and they do it well. The leopard spotting on the crust is perfect, and the dough has wonderful flavor and texture. The honey sticks made an awesome appetizer, with just the perfect balance with the rosemary and honey with the salty cheese and garlic butter. Ordered for delivery. My husband got a "build your own" with mushrooms, sausage and pepperoni. I got the gluten free Little Red Hen. The good: The mushrooms on husband's pizza were good. The bad: The gluten free crust was borderline raw. The ranch (both on the pizza and the side serving we paid extra for) was clearly out of a bottle, not fresh made. You could taste that awful soybean oil and vinegar taste. The sausage on husband's pizza tasted like plastic. Like not even as good as frozen breakfast sausage from the market. Ditto with the pepperoni. Ditto with the chicken. The mozzarella also was weird. Long strands that looked like plastic. Trying to reheat it was fruitless. Cheese refused to melt. Also plastic? Who knows. Not sure where the 11 good reviews come from. Maybe family members and friends? $65 worth of awful pizza going in the bin. There is no salvaging it. Very expensive lesson learned. Save your money and go to East Side pies. Or even just buy something from the frozen section at your market. It will be better than this. read more

Service needs attention. Very rude while taking order, said they were busy. Looks like most employees were 16-18 years old. Order pizza with sauce, and got no sauce. We have been coming to this pizza place since it opened and before it was popular. We went there tonight and received one pizza that was so burnt that it was hard to enjoy. We did not complain because we don't like to be those people. We will return and hope the service is just like it was in the beginning. We took our son out to celebrate his first job. Wow Wow Wow! Had this pizza food truck when they were parked at Barking Armadillo Brewery one weekend recently. Wood-fired sourdough pizza that has a nice char on the bottom and crust with local ingredients. We had a difficult time choosing what pizza to try because so many of them sounded so good! There is a large menu of options to choose from (bonus for English nerds like me they're all named for literary favorites) and they range from regular flavor/styles to some oddball ones. We ended up choosing The Inferno (pepperoni, tomato sauce, pickled jalapeños, mozzarella, and hot honey). As someone who is only medium good at hot it was just a little much for me, but the honey adds a nice sweetness and helps curb the flames. My husband is a hot/spicy food fiend and this became a favorite for him immediately! Even it being spicy there is so much flavor from the local pepperoni and cheese. Staff was super friendly, up for a chat, and even asked where my husband got his new jacket. I immediately followed them on Instagram to be able to see where they will be parked in the future to try more. I was able to try multiple options with Bahler during a Yelp Elite event they catered last night. I wish I lived closer to them so I could get their pizza more often because it was delicious! I had the Umbertina and the Wilbur. I also tried their meatballs which were super yummy! The Umbertina stole my heart though it was just the perfect combination of cheesy and super good thin crust!
