Fun toy shop with delicious ice cream! They have small cups which is great if you just want a little treat. I tried the bee's knees & the peach cobbler flavors -- both were great! Apparently, it's for sale. The shelves were a bit empty, likely due to this reason. Hope nothing changes with new ownership (unless it becomes even better). read more

Cute! So cute. There's so much here which is surprising because the space is small and there were some open spots in the inventory. But there are toys and tat and gadgets in the front, and in the back is where there is a sweet shop. I'll confess I had a bit of fun messing about with the blocks and wheelie letters. The sweet shop features ice cream! There are a ton of flavors and you can sample a few which is great since they have some unique flavors like smores and different flavors of cobbler. Give them a shot, I might get a float next time I'm in. There are so many candies and they have the fun soda flavors available too. Sour cherry, ginger beer, you should find something that will tickle your fancy. Stop by if you're in Georgetown, especially if you have a loved one you could shop for. read more

Toys and ice cream are good, great selection. Most all of the candy that you can put in bags is stale, like rock hard inedible. even the wrapped candy. Nevertheless paid a dollar per oz which is too much for stale candy. Also, when I went it seemed a little understaffed. when I moved here a few years ago this place was great, full of people and novelty candies, lots of people around ready to help, now its a little disappointing. read more

Such a cute store and ice cream shop on the square! Beware it is a candy and toy store in the front, proceed with caution if you go with children because they will stop and look at everything - trust me. The ice cream flavors are unique and creamy. My kids got half mint chip and m&m and one got watermelon sherbet with cookies and cream. They loved their selections. I tried the chocolate covered strawberry and it was divine! I thought I'd write this review in hopes that the owners read it and hopefully find it useful. All Things Kids is a nice store at a great location and I believe could be doing WAY better business than it is. We've been visiting the store for about 2 years almost every time we are downtown with our child. It's great to see the kind of toys they offer but we have noticed, in these 2 years how it started to not being cared for to a point where every time we walk in it seems that it hasn't been cleaned nor organized in weeks. Staff are teenagers or in their early twenties who could care less about the store or costumer service. Empty shelves, messed up displays, staff sitting on the counters, chatting, giggling and being on their phones instead of cleaning, accommodating products, servicing costumers, etc... It almost feels like the owners got too comfortable and don't care to put more time in the business or to hire an adult to be in charge and make the staff do their job. Treating your business this way will eventually make it fail and it would be sad. Please hire a responsible team that makes customers experiences better. A fun place to visit! We walked in and didn't intend on buying ice cream but it smelled so much like cones and candy when we walked in we couldn't resist! The toy selection is great and we enjoyed the small town feel. Would give it five but the folks working today didn't seem too happy! No greeting when we walked in, no interaction, lots of playing on phones behind the counter. This is a fun shop that I normally force my girlfriend to stop in so I can buy bulk candy and ice cream since I am a child. They sell toys, but really I am writing this review solely focused on the greatest dessert I have ever tasted - the Texas Doctor ice cream. It is Dr Pepper flavored ice cream with pralines pecans (? - maybe another type of nut) It was so good that crushed through the top scoop of ice cream before realizing I needed to take a picture. Don't mind the leftovers from 600 degree pizza I'm also balancing. I had the waffle cone and honestly I might try to go back and buy a gallon of it to take home. Still an absolutely awesome store! So worth a visit that I put it on my itinerary when planning a trip to Austin from Michigan. We drove up to Georgetown just so I could do some Christmas shopping here. I was happy to fill my suitcase with quality gifts and toys for the trip home. We don't have kids, but my husband and I are perpetual kids at heart. We LOVE toys stores! Couldn't resist going into All Things Kids when strolling the Town Square on a lazy Sunday. A great assortment of toys for all ages. New and nostalgic. Classic candy section too (Pop Rocks!). ATK also has a Play Zone for private parties and such. And, they offer Summer Classes that include topics like Lego Robotics and Magic in Motion. I REALLY like the owner's approach here! All of the classes are STEM based = fun with a purpose! In my opinion, it's so important to get children involved in STEM areas; especially for girls who are so greatly underrepresented in the fields today. If I did have children they would be enrolled. We have been coming to this toy store for years and love their selection of toys. My grandkids always want to come in when they are in town. We went in during the Christmas stroll, were selecting things to buy and needed to use the restroom. I was told the restroom was closed because of the stroll. I questioned the decision to close a restroom in a store filled with children and was told it was too crowded. There was a long line to buy ice cream, but the potential for a line at the bathroom was too daunting. When I mentioned that my special needs granddaughter needed to use the restroom, the response was "Sorry". This kind of "customer service" was disappointing and I'm not sure I'll go back. read more

We came here without our kid and ended up getting out of there for under $100. I imagine if we had brought him it would have been tougher. The owner( a German guy) is super friendly. The store itself has all kinds of awesome toys and games. They also have a little ice cream / candy shop in the back which is super fun. I tried a few of the ice creams and all taste like their names including the jack and coke. I mean how do you get ice cream to taste like jack and coke. Well it did... and I was told by the owner that they will be serving this ice cream and all home Round Rock Express games. Recommend coming here for fun or purchases. It was fun to walk through here and see the toys of our past and quality stuff. We went to the back for ice cream. There were four of us. Two got 2 scoops and two got 3 scoops. We didn't realize they charge by the ounce and for the 4 cones was $52.00! They had great flavors but I'm not a huge ice cream fan and should've requested smaller scoops for mine. Aside from this being the most precious little toy shop ever, the ice cream is phenomenal. I first fell in love with Scoops ice cream at the Georgetown bridal extravaganza where I learned you can rent the Scoops truck or cart for your event and introduce your guests to their fantastic flavors. This place is remarkably fun. So many toys from every era, full of nostalgia. The best part of the store however is the ice cream counter in the back. I will be honest I only came for the ice cream If you come for the same thing just walk in and head straight to the back of the store, that is where the ice cream counter is I was down the road at black box bbq and asked them for a good place for ice cream and this is where they sent me. Another tip , do not look at the big menu on the wall to pick your ice cream Instead choose from the ice cream case, whats on the menu is what they might or might not have depending on the season. Why are you reading this? There's ice cream to be had! Get in there and try them all. They are incredibly nice and true aficionados of amazing ice cream and flavors. My ice cream choices were black cherry and amaretto cheesecake. But the genius was when they suggested I put a layer of honey whiskey atop my flavors. WHAT?? That's insane!! Now the true crazy is that they offer all-you-can-eat for $15. All you have to do is remain in the store. Be sure to read that again. AYCE for $15! LIFESAVERS! My 4 year old son wanted a particular Playmobil set for Christmas and everywhere I called in Austin was sold out. I had never even heard of All Things Kids, because I don't ever go to Georgetown... but, I called and they had ONE LEFT! They said they would hold it for me, even offering to extend the hold another day so that I could get all the way up there when my son was at school. Not only was everyone super friendly and helpful, but their prices are amazing! I checked on eBay, and the set I bought from them is going for twice the price I paid! So glad that I was able to get the perfect Christmas gift, pay a super fair price, and support a rad local toy store! It looks like all the reviews on here about poor customer service are correct and no effort has been made to improve this issue. I went in today to buy a gift for my niece's birthday and was excited to see their inventory; however, the customer service I received from Jacob James the manager was poor. I received no greeting when entering the store, but the family who came in after me got a greeting. Why is that? Do single people not need to be in your store? Families are more likely to drop more money? On top of that, he stared me down the whole time I shopped and offered no help on finding an item, as if I am going to steal something.
