Recently discovered this place and was so sad that I've been missing out all these years!!! On Monday, it's $5 to fill up a 12oz cup with 2 scoops of toppings. That's what I did. Normally, it's by ounce ($.70/oz) Flavors: They rotate flavors monthly. Some of my favorites are strawberry (creamy yet fresh), peanut butter, salted caramel. They also have cheesecake, green apple sorbet (my sister loves it). Their tart (original) flavor is quite interesting: tarter than what I am used to and have sorbet-like texture. Size: 12oz cup looks a little small, but trust me, you can fill it up and it will fill you up. Toppings: I do like the idea of having the staff serve you the toppings. Less messy and they are generous with their scoop. Great variety of fresh fruits, candies, drizzle, chocolate, crispies, anything you can think off. Inside: It's cute, bright, and CLEAN!! Yummy yogurt selections and toppings! Mondays are a must as you can get whatever you want for $5! We have met the owners when they were at a catering event for weddings and they're super nice. Once they said where this place was we realized we live right around the corner! The manager is super friendly and so is the rest of the staff that works there. I love the lobby area as it has games set out on the table for the kids, or adults since being one sucks sometimes. We visited for the first time and loved all the flavors we got. - Original tart - has a subtle tartness and the texture is like thicker sorbet which is different than I'm used to, but it's still good. - No sugar added strawberry - light and refreshing. - Salt caramel pretzel - perfect sweetness. I'm not a big fan of salted caramel on anything because of the sweetness, but it's perfect here. - Green apple sorbet - oh my, it's surprisingly delicious and very refreshing. It's truly like you're biting into a green apple - tart and fresh. It's a perfect flavor for a hot summer day (or any day!) Be sure to pull the levers slowly. As you pull the levels up after you're done, be prepared to finish the top of your bowl with a big blob. Not messy but it fills up pretty quick with the finishing amount. The shop is clean and organized with some games. There are also a variety of games for purchase as well. This is the first froyo shop that I feel comfortable putting my phone/arms/elbows on the table. Tables at other shops are quite sticky. Staff is very welcoming and generous in each scoop of topping. LH location. The "experience" is overpriced and overrated for a yogurt shop. We paid a little over $18 for 2 barely full cups of yogurt with light toppings that were placed on our yogurt by the staff. Frozen yogurt is not a new concept and there's nothing making this place stand out honestly. Makes absolutely no sense. They don't have any real way to understand pricing on their boards, just a lot of mediocre flavors and bright colors to distract you. We were there and overheard other families share their feedback about how pricey it is. We do not mind paying for great quality and experience but this was lacking. We will stick to Menchies or just snag ice cream from the DQ! If you want more customers, just run your Monday special 7 days a week. I came here with my girls today and the service was PHENOMENAL! The girls behind the counter were absolutely amazing! I ESPECIALLY wanna shout out the girl with the braids that were blond at the top. This is my favorite place for a frozen treat. I have been coming here for the past 4 years, back when they would offer suggestions for yogurt and toppings on a chalkboard. I like the addition of the games as I usually come her to catch up with a friend. The customer service is exceptional and the yogurt flavors are awesome. My favorite is the salted caramel but they rotate the flavors so it's not always an option. If that's not there, I usually try whatever new flavor is there. This place is amazing! You grab a cup, fill it with how much yogurt you want of how many flavors (they always have 10 flavors to choose from) and they choose whatever toppings you want on it. I highly recommend the sweeten condensed milk topping. Pretty good! I got a swirl of the cheesecake and strawberry. The other two people I was with enjoyed their choices as well. I didn't go too crazy on the toppings, but they had a pretty good selection and the price was average compared with other froyo places. Their fruit seemed fresh. I wish they made sampling the choices easier or at least had offered. They only have one cup size, but of course you can put as little or as much in it. Now, I've got mixed feelings about this place... I have my favorite Austin froyo stops and I feel like I am cheating on them by coming here, rather than making the drive in; but be it that I am in this area a lot lately, I was willing to give it a chance. The good and decent: *Customer Service* (One of many occasions) They happen to be staffed with several friendly, polite, personable employees. We had managed to come during a slow hour and the female cashier/attendant had been watching something on the TV, nothing inappropriate--but not necessarily child geared, without asking her she came directly up to my son and asked him what he would like to watch, asked if he was enjoying his froyo, and spoke on his level, then immediately changed the show to one of his choosing. I thought that was very considerate and speaks highly of their establishment. Some of the employees are quiet--not jumping with joy, but as long as their not rude, get me what I need if requested and are friendly to my nuggets; I'm happy. *Toppings* They have several toppings to choose from, all for which are never out-of-order or a wreck; the set-up is always clean and well stocked. **BAD ALERT*** the first visit I loaded up with fruit and I kid you not it appeared to be fresh, but I had to hold back gagging on the pineapples; I don't know if they had gone bad or what the case was, but needless to say I have skipped those on every visit since. *Contest* If you put $0.25 in the tip jar and declare you would like to guess the weight of your cup prior to placing it on the scale you can score a free yogurt. There are rules/stipulations, but they are posted inside the store above the empty cups. If you lose, at least you tipped the gal behind the counter. They also have a 'heaviest cup,' shrine on the wall--which is pretty cool. Who could chow down on a 7 lb cup of yogurt? Geez. *Stamp Cards* They offer stamp cards, after the 10th visit you score a free cup. I have two nuggets, so it adds up quickly. It's a neat thing, most of the froyo places I've been to don't offer this. The bad: (and reason for 3 stars) *Lack of Variety* I've been spoiled by YogurtLand and Yogurt Planet to have a wide selection of 'non-basic' flavors. Here you'll only find (or I've only found): chocolate, peanut butter, vanilla, cheesecake, cake batter, eurotart, pink lemonade (only non-dairy here), strawberry and peach; most places offer some exotic fruit or at least carry taro flavor. It's not a massive complaint--because I can work with it, but it'd be a drastic improvement and force me to come back repeatedly if they offered something less 'generic.' *Drinks* Most froyo shops in the Austin-Area offer free water, YogurtLand has infused water; even if it's in the Dixie cups like at Yogurt Planet it's a perk! Here you pay $1.00 per bottle of water; although they offer sodas and energy drinks a little above price. But sadly, there is not even a water fountain which kind of forces you to buy a drink. The ugly: *Price* It's about $0.43 a ounce, which adds up in comparison to some of the places in Austin--the lowest I've found being $0.38/ounce. I just moved here from Las Vegas but it was in San Diego that I fell in love w/ the FRO YO MOVEMENT. . which SD happens to provide one at almost every corner. even in North County.. that being said.. The yogurt wasnt exactly Golden Spoon quality..and ive you've been to Golden Spoon you know what I'm talking about.. if in Las Vegas..U-swirl or Goldenspoon. The flavors I tried: Red Velvet: tastes nothing like it.. Cheesecake: very good flavor Chocolate: good..but need something to balance it out Banana: not really too flavorful Toppings: standard toppings. . and in case you dotn know where to start they have a white board with suggestions... especially great ways to load it up and have to pay more for those very hefty toppings. I've cheated on my regular yogurt place. That's right, I drove 15 minutes farther than I had to for yogurt. It's not because I don't love my regular spot, I do, promise. It's really that I've just found something better, something that offers me more, and has more personality. Somewhere that provides a whole experience that I am looking for in a yogurt shop. The Yogurt Experience if you will. The Yogurt Experience is probably out of the way for most people. In northern round rock it is 15 minutes from my house in Pflugerville and most people consider pflugerville to be way, way, way north. So unless you are shopping at the outlet mall you probably won't have reason to stop in, but if you can make up a reason (ikea?) then do yourself a favor and get some yogurt from this place. First off they do what Asian cooking does: provide a balance of flavors. Through unique toppings and great yogurt flavors I am able to get my salty, sweet, tangy, crunchy, fix that no other yogurt place seems to provide. Their Pecan Praline is one of my all time yogurt flavor favorites and they offer some great toppings like yogurt covered pretzels, smores pop-tarts, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and about a billion others. The quality is spectacular. Next is the actual personality of the business. From the outside it looks the same as every yogurt joint in town. Inside, well it still looks a bit the same. However, when you look a little closer you see a some personality coming through. They have a board that has the biggest yogurts (by weight) to date, they have some "recipes" of peoples favorite mixes, plus they have a little game you can play for a quarter (goes towards the tips not the business) where if you can quess the weight of your yogurt you get it free. They have how many correct guesses so far up on the board. To top it all they have the friendliest staff of any yogurt place I have been to yet. Always smiling and usually joking around with customers. If they will get some candied jalapenos or serranos for toppings I could get the spicy element mixed in and would really be singing their praises. I've edited my review somewhat based on comments from the owners of this shop, which, I appreciate, but my original review wasn't far off the mark. In my original review, I said it was made from a mix, but in fact, it's made from an already mixed, packed yogurt. Does that not still sound gross? Why would you want to go to a place that pours some prefab yogurt into a machine when you could eat homemade yogurt. They also didn't comment about the use of artificial fillers in the yogurt so I assume that they don't deny that. Yes, I appreciate having the nutritional and ingredient information right there, it's nice, but I've seen it at other shops and I've asked other shops and had them provide it to me so it's not like it's unique. What is unique about this shop is their commitment to a substandard premade yogurt that had an ingredient list longer than my arm. So here's my original review with the following changes: 1. I removed the word "mix" and replaced it with "premade packaged stuff" 2. I originally said that they had "a lot" of flavors with artificial sweeteners. I remember more than two, but I only went once so it's possible I'm misremembering. Even without these changes, the bottom line is that this yogurt tastes fake and artificial to me. ---------------------------------- I'm shocked at the number of positive reviews this place has. I was so excited to try this based on the number of awesome reviews here. I was so disappointed and my husband was, too. The yogurt is creamy and smooth to the point of being overly so. The secret? Artificial fillers. Take a look at the ingredients in this yogurt. This stuff is mega artificial and full of chemicals and fillers. They don't make it in house and instead dump premade packaged stuff into their machine. Yuck! And two of the flavors I wanted to try had artificial sweeteners in them. No thanks. They weren't flavors duplicated by ones without so if I wanted those, but want to avoid the artificial sweeteners, I was just out of luck. Hop across the street to Yo Yos. The yogurt there is made in house from scratch. I'm not aware of any other yogurt shop in the Austin area doing that. Most use premixes. I'm going to stick with Yo Yos. FYI, it is right behind Freebird's. There are a total of 10 flavors to choose from as well as 5 blends. The toppings are varied and plentiful and the fruits looked tasty. I had a Reese's peanut butter and Hershey's chocolate yogurt blend. Would have been just as delicious without those toppings. Highlights - tasty yogurt, nutrition labels for each flavor, location. Lowlights - serving cup sizes (still entirely too big) and a tip jar at a do-it-yourself place. Just got back from here with my wife. Very clean and the owner was very nice. This was our first experience with self serve yogurt, and he explained the process upfront. You grab a cup, (2 choices, large and Huge) pick from a choice of 10 rotating flavors, and then head to the topping bar. There is a large selection from very fresh berries to candy crumbles and sprinkles. There had to be about 50 different toppings, no exaggeration. Once you've added your toppings, you head to the register where your concoction is weighed. You pay .40 cents per ounce. I had the cookies and creme yogurt with some strawberries, chocolate syrup, cookie dough bites, and Oreo crumbles. The yogurt is all low to nonfat, but the taste was great. We definitely will head back again. I think I'll go for the blueberry yogurt with blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries next time. read more

Frozen yogurt is just not my thing. Sure, it tastes fine. But, it's like diet soda--- not as good as the original product that everyone fell in love with and still full of crap that isn't the best fuel for your body. Why does every flavor have corn syrup in the first half of the ingredients? Why are there more than a handful of ingredients when plain frozen yogurt requires 3 ingredients? WHY is it so damn expensive? And why is there no water fountain? I don't understand buying bottled water when tap water is available. What a scam to have to purchase a bottle of water on top of the ridiculously expensive frozen yogurt? How about a recycling bin, at least, given that a customer's only drink options come in aluminum or plastic? No thank you. I enjoy coming here because of it's proximity to the movie theater and other eateries. It's very convenient which is probably the only reason I do come here instead of going to other places in town.
