When we arrived, we planned on getting pints of ice cream from the case. There was a line of about 4 people in front of us - we saw the customer in front of us get mix in's into his pint. I decided I wanted to do that and my husband decided to just get one from the case. We tell the employee what we want and she tells us that we need to wait because they have a rush of people they need to take care of first - there was 3 people behind us. Me and my husband are confused because we had to wait for the people ahead of us and now she wants us to wait for the people behind us? Make that make sense. We ended up waiting (quite awhile I should say - for the line to clear out) before she says she can help us... It didn't make sense that we had already waited for four customers and then had to wait for the people BEHIND US, 3 more customers before we got help. read more

Nice location of Amy's for dine in or takeout! They have a few tables for indoor seating and a couple tables outside as well, next to the iconic decorated Amy's cow statue (which my kids love). The space is clean, bright and welcoming! My older one ordered the Strawberry flavor with rainbow sprinkles, while my younger opted for Mexican Vanilla with rainbow sprinkles. They have "half tiny" options which is perfect for little kids to give them a treat but control portions and minimize the sugar rush that inevitably follows! Ice cream quality is fantastic - it is so delicious! They are generous about allowing samples and offer a wide variety of toppings to mix into the ice cream! You'll be very fortunate if you come here and are served by Grace. She was amazing! She was very friendly and easy to talk to. She and I had a very nice conversation as I tried to make up my mind on a flavor. Also, she gave me a pint of ice cream that was packed to the rim. I watch her smash and smash that ice cream in! 5 stars for Grace! Whether you want a scoop, sundae, or pint, definitely take advantage of sample tasting. Today I tried 3 (didn't want to be greedy and do more!), and with each one Grace talked about it with me. My eventual choice, Zilker Mint Chip was a terrific choice. We agreed that the mint is not heavy handed, making it a pleasant, light taste. Also, it's not the typical bright green other companies make. No harsh coloring here! The store has a good number of seats for enjoying your treats right away. It is also bright and cheerful place. The walls and signage are all friendly and colorful! You can't walk in here and be unhappy. Cookies are made locally by Amy's. Seasonal chocolate covered strawberries are made in-store (I didn't know they made these at all!). Amy's corporate works with We Are Blood, providing free pint coupons to blood donors occasionally. This location honors those coupons, and I'm certain any other coupon you receive from some other place. It was surprisingly easy to use mine. When I showed Grace, she knew exactly what it was and even said, "Awesome!" Regarding parking, it was surprisingly easy. This shopping center has nightmarish parking. However Amy's is on the first row of businesses when you enter the center off the 183A access road. The only traffic here is for the few businesses on the rows. It's awesome! Not a single person in line when we came in and I get they might be doing online orders but you can say hello. It's a Amy's ....what's not to love. Mexican vanilla is one of those flavors that is just awesome. I normally get a mix in with Oreos; however, you can now just get Oreo ice Cream that is Mexican vanilla pre mixed with Oreos and save a dollar on the mix in charge. That's a win - win. Of course we didn't know this at the time but the staff let us know. So thanks! This location is super new so it's clean and the staff like all locations is friendly. I went to this cute little ice cream shop off of Whitestone in the shopping plaza and it was absolutely delicious! I lovvveeee coffee and the coffee flavor was sooo good! A sweet coffee treat that just melts in your mouth. The waffle cone was very fresh and the server was super sweet. The color scheme was very kid friendly and fun. They also sell ice cream cakes that I thought were really cute but I came for a quick sweet treat. This location has very intimate seating if you want to hang out for a bit as well. Not my thing, but it could be yours. I did not like the ice cream very much. The texture was smooth plastic. I got dark chocolate and coffee ice cream. It was not very flavorful and the waffle cone was super thin and easily broke, so much so I had to put in a cup to eat it. I've heard people talk about Amy's ice cream as being a good ice cream place. I would put it on par with McDonald's cones. The two girls that worked there were very nice and helpful but the ice cream wasn't that great. For what I pay I would rather have Baskin-Robbins. But I think everybody should try it at least once, maybe you would like it. I did not, but that doesn't mean you won't. read more

The staff was really nice. My son loved the marshmallows they mixed in his Tang flavored ice cream. They play great music here, and the place was very clean. I know some people have had some negative experiences here, but from what I can tell, it seems like they worked out the kinks. Finally, we don't have to drive into Austin for Amy's!!! I decided to treat us to a cool treat and happened to remember that we now have this new location in Cedar Park. My son had Tang with marshmallows mixed in, wife had white chocolate and I got Back Rolls (no jokes please....it was super good). Honey buns and cinnamon rolls mixed with sweet cream. The employees at our visit were all very nice and the younger girl who mixed my son's ice cream was very sweet to him. So glad we now have a location of our own!! read more

The person with brown hair and blonde highlights, large glasses, red hat, and face mask had one of the worst attitudes I have ever seen in customer service at Amy's. I've been here so many times and this time my friend and I come in, talking about my medical disability and was describing how the symptoms are similar to that of a cancer patient. We look up to see three employees glaring at us as were in the middle of our private conversation. Although the other two employees were a bit kinder, the person with pink hair and facial piercings helped soften the blow of the awkwardness of the situation--barely. We tried to excuse our conversation and say we weren't joking about cancer, we were met with more glares and silence. From the moment we walked in, they wanted nothing to do with us even when we hadn't said anything rude or off putting to them. My friend and I have both worked in customer service for years and we would never ever behave this way to anyone, especially to people who started no issue. I literally do not write reviews, ever, but I have never felt so uncomfortable in an establishment and wanted to leave the second they began glaring at us. We thought we were paranoid of their behavior, but we left and they never said "Have a good night", in comparison to every other customer who left before and after us. We sat in our car in front of the store for a bit to eat our ice cream because we felt so uncomfortable, to where we see the employees gathering in the corner, continuing to talk and stare at my car. Overall, I understand having a bad night and wanting to not work, but never should you take it out on another person; especially people who only exuded kindness and who are paying customers.
