But right now my mind is set on trying the banana splits, and I will try that the next go-around. One reason is that there is more than one banana split. One is more of the old-fashioned banana split with the cherries and strawberries. The other one is more for a chocolate lover like me, with fudge, carmal, and pecans. It's the same with the sundaes. You have your fruit lover sundaes and then the chocolate lover sundaes. I was also speaking with the cashier, and he suggested the Old Fashion sodas, or Floats. It's most definitely a must on my list. But so far, I have tried one of the Concretes and one of the Sundaes. I have to mention I have tried to go through the drive-thru, but never make it, only because the sitting area catches my eye. It's very shady; the red benches are very comfortable for people-watching, and the wind always brings a breeze.

It's such a humble little business, and you can tell they care about the quality of their food and the experience they give. If you're looking for really good rolled ice cream, refreshing drinks, and friendly service, I can't recommend this place enough. They definitely deserve more love and support. THE BLACK AND WHITE: We were feeling dessert after eating lobster rolls at Garbos and fortunately Connors creamery is onsite. Menu is small which is nice and there's a rotating seasonal flavor. I got the espresso flavor and it missed the mark. I asked the waiter if it had espresso in it, but it's just flavored syrup. Ice cream is just alright here. Alot of artificial flavoring and you can tell. Portions are pretty big so you're getting your moneys worth. THE FINAL BAMBOO: It's $5 for a cup of ice cream and the toppings are extra. Parking is very easy to find as it's located in a shopping center and having both indoor and outdoor seating is great as you can bring your dog. When inside we noticed how clean it was and it seemed like it was a popular spot as well. We ordered a chocolate scoop in a cup and a mint chocolate chip in a cone. We were also offered a pup cup for our dog, which was very nice and made us happy he was included in things. They have a good variety of flavors and toppings there to choose from so you can customize things to your liking. The price was as expected for a smaller, seemingly family owned place. The service was good so it seemed a bit more fair considering that. We sat outside since we had our dog with us and jumped right into our ice cream and it was great. The texture of the ice cream is perfect and the flavors are not over sweet or off like some places can be at times. Rather, between the hot Texas sun and the cool ice cream, it felt like the perfect way to cap off a Saturday. We don't live too close by but if we're ever in the area again, we would happily stop by and support Maggie Moo's and you should too.
