Dhaba Café is in the Pink Flamingo food truck park on McNeil Road. The coffee truck is casual and unpretentious, with outdoor tables arranged on their patio for casual conversations and lingering. The first thing I noticed was the tuk tuk also known as a three-wheeler in India. When I worked in Bangalore, India I often took a tuk tuk to different places. It's a fun, open-air experience. So, warm feelings rushed to my heart when I saw the tuk tuk. Dhaba Cafe leans into its South Asian influence with layers of unexpected flavor: rose, cardamom, saffron, or seasonal infusions that extend beyond the standard café offerings. You will not find these flavors at your typical coffee shop. We had the Sunset (house made saffron syrup, espresso, honey and milk) and the Cardamon (house made cardamon, dash of rose water, espresso and milk) lattes. A really cute coffee and matcha truck in North Austin! Their blueberry matcha is what initially pulled me in, and while the blueberry flavor came through nicely, the matcha itself tasted a bit watery and could have been stronger. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it also didn't stand out enough for me to go out of my way to return. It's worth trying if you already happen to be at the food truck park, especially if the blueberry matcha catches your eye. read more

Located in the cutest little food truck area, with lots of other pretty well known food trucks, Dhaba is a great spot to chill and get some caffeine. The workers are super friendly and the flavors are so unique! I got the strawberry fennel matcha latte, and although I didn't really taste any fennel, it was still really good. A lot of places kind of struggle with either making the matcha flavor overpowering or the strawberry. But it was pretty balanced here, I was able to taste both flavors throughout. And price wasn't too bad compared to what other places charge now. So it's pretty worth to come back and I definitely wanna try some of the other flavors! read more

This is located inside of a food truck park I've never heard of or encountered before! I've seen Dhaba Cafe online before, so I really wanted to try it. They have this cute little car right outside of the truck, and I ordered one of their signature lattes. I really enjoyed my latte, and I think I'm pretty picky when it comes to coffee. It was really well balanced, nicely sweetened, but not overly creamy or milky. The flavor was really nice, and I can tell why they have started to gain so many fans! read more

Stopped by to try Dhaba Cafe for the first time! This is a coffee shop/truck located off McNeil Dr. It's located within a food truck park, so there's a lot of other eating options close by too. I came by on a Friday morning around 9:30 AM. There was a slight wait to order since there is only one person working the truck but overall, the service was very fast and I got my drink within five minutes. In terms of finding this place, turn into the lot when you see pink flamingos by the street. You can either park within that immediate lot, or keep going down till you see a light blue truck on your right (that'll be the cafe). In terms of seating, there's a good amount of outdoor tables although the majority of people took their coffee to-go. It's overall a nice, quiet environment where you can enjoy coffee, check out some of the games/books they have, or get some work done. (Note: There's no Wifi, so you're only good if you have a hotspot or if your work doesn't require internet). Latte w/ Ube syrup ($4.75 for 12 oz, +$0.75 for syrup; 4/5) - Coffee was good, but would have preferred the flavor of both the coffee and Ube syrup to be stronger. Couldn't really taste the Ube syrup. - If I came back, might just go with the original latte and/or try other syrup options I'm glad I got to try Dhaba Cafe at least once! The prices are also very affordable compared to other coffee shops in Austin. Worth checking out if you're in the area, although it's a bit farther up north. read more

Absolutely love this cute little coffee truck, located in the Pink Flamingo food truck park. Really delicious coffee. Really nice and talented baristas. My favorite is the cardamom rose latte, which is fantastic in both hot or iced form. They have some table seating, and games/books for kids to borrow (so thoughtful). There is a kids play area right by it as well, which is convenient. Nice place to hang out and enjoy coffee + family time. read more

The seasonal menu is where it's at. The regular menu has all that you'd want: cappuccino, latte, espresso spritz, mocha, etc. But then, you look at the seasonal menu and see flavors such as saffron, cardamom, rose, date, peppermint and more. It brought me so much joy to see the uniqueness of the flavors! Furthermore, they really shone through the coffee. My latte included cardamom with rose water and it had a sweet, strong aroma. Found this gem of a coffee food truck on a cloudy weekend and it was exactly what I needed! Loved the color and energy of this place, the book library is such a nice touch! Their strawberry matcha is truly wonderful, the perfect amount of creaminess w the earthiness of matcha and sweetness of the strawberry. I got my drink pretty quick, the freeze dried strawberries on top were a nice touch! I loved that the strawberry syrup tasted fresh and legit and not like a store syrup. LOVE it! Very smooth, delicate espresso. I ordered a 16 oz Iced Latte called Feeling Grinchy, which is a Cherry Sumac flavor. Added extra espresso shot. Whole milk. I loved the unique flavor, it is very subtle so the star of the show is the espresso itself. Even with the extra shot, 3 total in the drink, zero bitterness, zero acidity. This is a high quality, fancy, espresso for a non-fancy price! I went to shop recently that charged more for a 12 oz than what I paid here for a 16 oz. And the uniquenes flavors, high quality, sourcing, roasting is the same. So I do very much appreciate shops that try to keep the prices reasonable. Thanks Dhaba! This coffee truck is a reliable favorite! The Shaken Unrefined is my go-to--it's similar to a shaken espresso, smooth and perfectly balanced with just the right kick. The service is consistently kind and welcoming, which makes each visit a pleasure. I've been here twice now and was blown away both times by the quality of the beverages and the friendly people working here. On my first visit, I tried one of their specials which was completely new to me, a hot oat milk cardamom rose latte, and I loved it!! It had a unique flavor I would have never thought of. It was a busy day, but that did not affect the quality or the service. I did not feel rushed. Most coffee places I go, I end up not liking the oat or almond milk they have, but at this place I completely approve of the oat milk. My second time here, I got an iced vanilla lavender latte, which was delicate and so tasty! Everyone I've met who works there is so friendly and kind. They even gave us tips on what to order at the Thai and Mediterranean food trucks. It was middle of the day my second trip here and was even more chill. So the coffee tasted amazing, the service was great, but idk what's going on with it because I didn't feel the effects of the caffeine for a while until I was hit with a storm of anxiety. I hesitate to share this because it was just one drink and I'm sure it's out of the ordinary, but maybe there's something in it that could affect someone else too? I didn't get to take a picture since I drank my coffee too quickly but this coffee food truck is something I miss about living in Austin. Such a fun city to visit and try the many different food trucks. This one in particular is focused on coffee and the barista was nice and attentive. You're sitting outdoors and there is a little bit of seating for a few groups. There were many items on the menu but I just got the cold brew with the ube syrup. The cold brew was well made and the syrup was flavorful but not overpowering. I needed to use the restroom after and there was one very close by which is a huge plus. read more
