Today, I tried black sesame latte and it was sooooo good! Definitely recommend to try! Their specials are pretty fairly priced, under $7. Not sure about seasonal drinks though. It was busy-ish but mostly because a lot of people were working on their laptops. No line at the counter!

I passed by here many times and there are always people here even though the outside did not look like much but I finally decided to stop in. The coffee here is good and the pastries even better. The staff here were really nice, so nice we got extra cool duck stickers that came the cups. The seating inside can get a bit full. outside is a better choice. You basically have to make your own parking spot here because it's not straight forward. Don't expect to fit your 6 speed double baby stroller through these doors. I saw a mom try and had to leave it outside.

After lunch a couple weekends ago a few of us wanted to get coffee. Someone recommended Barrett's because he is a coffee drinker and the other two are also. I don't drink coffee so I enjoy an herbal tea or a hot cocoa. I liked their herbal tea (not remembering the flavor right now) flavor and my friends liked their coffees. The place was festively decorated for the holidays and we were able to find a high top to sit at to enjoy our beverages and chat. They had several parking spots around the place so that was nice we didn't have to hunt for parking!

Great vibes in the cafe, loved the art along the exterior wall (so sick) Tried the sesame oat milk latte, which was solid. Not too sweet which was great and no additional charge for alternative milks which is +100000 points Lots of seating and desks to study. Would highly recommend. Parking can be rough. Saw the owner or manager giving some people some complementary pastries so seems like super nice people!

A pretty good cup of coffee and it seems to be the spot people go on Sunday mornings. Barrets has both indoor and outdoor seating. There is parking but limited as usual in Austin. When we went today there was only 2 batista and the line was long. Once they took our order we got our coffees pretty quick. The place is very casual with lots of wall decorations. A plus, they let you bring your pets inside!

Ooh this coffee is GOOD! We stopped here early morning for lattes before heading somewhere nearby after. The parking lot is very uneven and a really makeshift lot. It was complicated getting in and out, but once in the shop, we had a great experience. I tried the toasted sesame latte and it was nutty, savory, and creamy. It was not sweet at all which I was happy about. We also enjoyed an almond Swedish bun. Delicious! They had great specialty drinks to choose from and a variety of pastries. There were a lot of people working on laptops in the shop, so it seems like a place to arrive to right when they open to grab a spot. I loved watching the guys roast the coffee in the back! This place is the real deal. Can't wait to visit again!

Place inside is very nice, multiple seating options and spaces. Coffee is normal, they do have unique coffee flavors but my friends and I tried their popular ones and personally, I thought the espresso was on the lighter side. Parking is very tight and limited parking. Staff overall was very friendly.

Came back more than a year later and their drinks are still sublar, at least their lattes and matchas are. At this point I have tried enough coffee shops in Austin, probably 30+ or so. My matcha was 5/10, too much matcha powder that I was tasting on my first sip. The milk was overly frothy and not smooth like how a latte should be. I had a ham and cheese breakfast taco which was bland 6/10. Got their raisin scones that tasted stale and old 2/10. Their cookies look better and taste fine 7/10 Staff was not really friendly, and doesnt seem like they care so much about the clients or the service. What a shame because its convenient for me to get here and Id love to support them more often. they need a better trained head barista and more welcoming service

Good coffee and nice staff! Today was my second visit and both times the line was long but moved fairly quickly. Parking is very limited and tight spots.

Barrett is a cute local coffee shop that my boyfriend and I love walking to. I ordered a hot vanilla latte and a bacon and egg breakfast taco. My boyfriend orders the Ecuador house coffee. They are pet friendly and always give treats to our dog. The inside is a warm and cozy vibe. They have picnic tables outside for outdoor seating and lots of seating inside. This is a great place to get coffee on the weekends or to come and study for a bit. The barista's are super friendly and answer. Any questions you have relating to Coffee they have a variety of seasonal drinks that are always super yummy.

Delicious local Austin coffee! They over milk alternatives like soy milk, almond milk, and oat milk. Quick and Austin friendly service. Small coffee shop but has a lot of seating. This is a work from home or study friendly type of coffee shop. Easily one of my fav local Austin coffee shop!

I love that Barrett's has a variety of coffee drinks with unique options. Personally I was super excited to try their black sesame latte! I love anything black sesame. It was pretty good, but not amazing. Possibly because I got it with oat milk -- I'll try regular milk next time or coconut milk My partner got coffee with coconut water (forgot the name of the drink) and he enjoyed that. I love that they serve tacos here. We tried 4 of them and they all came with sauces. This is a major plus for me if a coffee shop serves tacos! Ambiance is no-frills, with bar stool seats. Service was decent. Parking lot is small.

They sell coffee by the pound, likely for those serious coffee lovers who have fancy expensive coffee machines. I was looking for a latte. Bad news...this coffee company sells coffee by the pound not lattes (hence the name). Good news... they sell drip coffee for $2.00 + tax. What a deal! This family owned shop has been roasting beans locally since 1972 and focuses on helping customers brew excellent coffee at home rather than serving coffee drinks on premises. According to the store manager, Mr. Anderson occasionally comes into the store. The selection of freshly roasted beans is rather larger, with store favorites like Guatemala Antiqua, Dark Sumatra and Arabian Mocha cited as most popular. Coffee cost on average $19 per pound. In addition to coffee, the store carries loose leaf teas, mugs, candy, cards, coffee pot sweaters, brewing equipment, and small other gift items, to name just a few items. I was totally and completely enamored with this store. They had so many trinkets and interesting items, you literally could peruse for hours. Captivating environment...Loved it...

The only thing I wish was that they also served fresh brewed coffee there for us to taste.

Gelatoro is located in Hyde Park on 45th street (faces this direction) not Duval Road as the address implies. I purchased a non-dairy lemon and strawberry gelato (two of four dairy-free options). The gelato was refreshing and tasty simultaneously. Gelatoro features house-made gelato with rotating flavors and fan favorites including chocolate, blueberry chip, and strawberry. Their coffee and espresso options offerings may also include affogatos for a sugar rush. Bakery treats include cookies, bars and candy treats including Dubai chocolate. The cashier was very friendly offering me several samples needed for me to make my final selection. There is a small amount of free parking available to customers for Gelatoro. I look forward to trying more frozen treats from Gelatoro.
