My goodness, I'm just a repeat offender when it comes to this one-of-a-kind bakery. It's the most gorgeous place. I love the green soft chairs, the tables, and the chef statue greeting you as you pull in front of the building. He's right there in the window. The bistro honestly takes your breath away. I love it! So in the last two weeks, I've been back exactly four times. My first introduction was the Croissant Scramble with chicken and veggies inside, with the Arnold Palmer. My friend got the Croissant Scramble with brisket. The presentation of the croissants when brought to the table blew me away. It was wrapped up in the cutest paper with the ends twisted. The topic of conversation was how good the croissants were. Before we left, we ordered some delicious cookies. The chocolate chips were yummy. So I went the following day and grabbed some pastries! One in particular was the Pecan Bar. The following week, another friend and I stopped in for the Chicken Pesto Omelet. I like that the fire-roasted bell peppers and onions are cooked, if that's the right word. But l have to tell you, the Mexican Hot Chocolate drink brings on the flavor, as does the ice-cold Mocha. I'm really disappointed with my recent experience. I placed a custom birthday cake order about a month in advance for my partner's birthday dinner, with pickup scheduled the same day as the celebration. When I arrived, I was told the cake wasn't ready and was asked if I could come back the next morning--which obviously didn't work given the timing of the event. As a substitute, they offered me a pre-made cake from their display case and assured me it was chocolate like I originally ordered, just with a chocolate mousse filling. They refunded me $15 to account for the difference, and I felt pressured to accept since I needed something for the dinner that night. Unfortunately, the situation got worse from there. When we cut into the cake, it turned out to be confetti--not chocolate. Then, when we tried to eat it, it was clearly stale, dry, and inedible. No one touched it after the first bites. It completely missed the mark for what was supposed to be a special moment. What's especially frustrating is that I ordered from them last year for the same occasion, and everything went perfectly--that's why I trusted them again. This time, however, it was a complete letdown from start to finish. When I called the next day to request a refund, I asked to speak with a manager but was told that wasn't possible. Instead, I was told I would only be offered a partial refund because I accepted the replacement cake. I love going to Heaven's Bistro Bakery! It feels like you're going to a bakery gallery with all deftly constructed desserts, cookies and tasty treats. The desserts truly look like works of art. You are like a kid in a candy store in pure delight...you survey all your options...over and over again. Then, you spring into action. The resulting decision was to purchased three cookies (for the cookie monster aka the hubs) and two chicken kolaches (one for me and one for the hubs). This is the cutest French Cafe in the most random part of Parmer lane ever. The interior ambiance and seating is absolutely European true, and exquisitely tailored to refined baking. The pastries were top notch, the perfect balance between moist and crumbly, and the taste authentic to each countries pastries. The service was very friendly. I would say my only criticism is that it is expensive, however the quality is so High, that I honestly don't care. I would Rank the following items here the best I have every tasted: 1.) The Croissants 2.) The Chocolate Croissants 3.) The Portuguese Egg Tarts 4.) The Chocolate Cakes (all of them) 5.) The Croquettes I was really afraid this would be like another Korean or Australian French spin off like Tous Les Jours (mad respect though)) but this was authentic in technique, and flavor profile. Came across this French bakery and it felt like a hidden gem! The pastry/dessert selection is extensive and everything looks so good, you'll want to order so many things. We got the berry crumble, blueberry cheesecake, and berry panna cotta. The sweets were very tasty and not too sweet. The patio is SUPER cute and there are quite a few tables available. I was super excited to try a local bakery and the good reviews were promising, but I was heavily disappointed. I came here on a Sunday morning and the shop interior is super cute and cozy. The food display looked so amazing and I had a really difficult time choosing a pastry. I ended up going with the berry donut, but it was extremely dry and the did not have enough custard to compensate for it. I also ordered the london fog and they used a tea bag for the earl grey... This wouldn't have been as disappointing if it didn't cost $7. My cup also had a weird leak and was just spilling everywhere. The cinnamon roll was good overall. The inside was perfectly soft, though the outside could have been a bit more moist. I felt the cinnamon flavor could be slightly stronger, but the topping was creamy and decadent, it definitely didn't taste like a cheap, generic frosting. I have been on a hunt in Austin for the best chocolate croissant and Heaven's Bistro Bakery is pretty up there! I recently came back from France and was dying for a buttery flaky croissant. I have to say Heaven's Bistro Bakery chocolate croissant hits the mark. It has many layers with a nice dark chocolate middle. It is extremely buttery - like definitely you know it has butter. I also appreciate that they heat up the croissant for you which made it that more delectable. I also had their almond croissant which was good, but I think their chocolate croissant blows it out of the water. I came on a weekday afternoon at 1 PM and they had about 4 left when I came, so I am unsure if they sell out over the weekends. They have free WiFi and a really cute patio area that is shaded. The inside area is smaller, but with WiFi I think it would be nice to sit and hang out and do work if needed. Their WiFi worked fairly well when I was there. Parking is free and in front. The parking lot is fairly small so if there is no parking there, would have to go off Parker off to side street to park. read more

Well folks, here is my feedback from our visit, as 1st time customers (adult daughter and I) on Friday, 11/01/2024 - around 10:30am and why I'm giving our visit a 3-star review - 1. Atmosphere / Vibe - While not very big inside they do have inside seating - both small tables & a few table tops w/ stools that were oddly designed because they had "bike pedals" for your feet that made it difficult to get comfortable on. We did eat our food there and not much of a vibe. Very quiet inside, which made it very easy to hear any conversation happening around you. 2. Food & Drink- We did order a few items - Chicken Pesto Omelette (very flavorful & definitely recommend); egg & cheese croissant (egg was lacking flavor); chocolate croissant (tasty); fruit danish (my favorite..very delicious!); honey almond cookies (tasty and not too sweet). My daughter was given the wrong food order & despite it not being very busy & several employees working, it did take a while to get the correct food order. 3. Staff / Customer Service - Friendly-ish, aloof, & very French-inspired 4. Parking Situation - Have their own parking lot right in front of the building. Final Thoughts - Eh, okay if I'm the area. I wanted so badly to love this place. We walked into Heaven's Bistro greeted by bakery cases that looked like a pastry lover's dream--beautiful, abundant, and promising. Social media buzz and glowing reviews had me genuinely excited. This felt like one of those "how have I not been here before?" moments. Unfortunately... the excitement didn't survive the first bite. We ordered: Croissant with egg & cheese Chicken quiche Lemon bar Paris-Brest We eagerly grabbed a table, already planning which items we'd reorder next time. Then the food arrived--and that's where everything fell apart. The quiche was cold. Not lukewarm. Cold. And it didn't taste like any chicken quiche I'd ever had - it was like some weird enchilada casserole. The croissant was barely warm, dry, and completely lacking flavor. The lemon bar was so bad I actually spit out the bite I took. I don't say that lightly--it was aggressively unpleasant. The Paris-Brest? Stale, flavorless, and honestly baffling given how stunning it looked behind the glass. This wasn't a single miss--it was a full lineup of disappointments. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect baked goods to taste fresh and food to be served at a basic, edible standard. When every item misses the mark, it stops being a fluke and starts feeling like a quality control issue. I won't be back. I won't recommend it. And a full week later, I'm still annoyed that I spent money here--because this place had every opportunity to be great, and instead delivered one of the most frustrating dining experiences I've had in a long time. Catch me here every weekend trying something new! Came here during the Xmas season and the bakery was so festive with decor. Walked in and was smiling from ear to ear bc of their display case!! So much to choose from! Filled croissants, cookies, cakes, breads, I honestly don't know what everything is called. I got a toasted marshmallow latte 10/10 Also had the berry croissant 8/10 slightly overfilled with filling but hey I'd rather have over filled than under filled. The egg and cheese croissant..... I originally visited for their croissants because I heard they were good, but I also saw a few other items I couldn't live without. They have a lot of the usual French breakfast favorites, including some nice-looking sandwiches using their croissants. They have a desert case separate from their pastry case with a ton of items like slices of cakes, macaroons, parfaits, creme Brulee, and eclairs, to name a few. I went with the cowboy cookie, which is loaded with ingredients like coconut, nuts, and chocolate chip morsels, a chocolate loaf, and a brisket kolache. As far as seating, they have about 9 tables inside. I wasn't a big fan of the brisket kolache. It's just not as good as the ones back in Houston imo. I have no idea if they smoke the brisket in house, doubt it, but if they make it, then it's probably cooked in an oven, not pit smoked. I also wasn't a fan of the chocolate loaf, I guess I should have realized it's more a loaf than it is chocolate. Only chocolate is used on the icing. I didn't try any of the drinks because I had another spot nearby already slated for coffees, but they do have a nice selection of syrups. It is pretty modern inside, and clean, and close to the area I hanngout a lot when visiting austin. read more

This is an updated review, as this was my second time coming in. I had a better time. It was also a Saturday, and more people were coming in. I sat outside as the weather was great. I really enjoyed the outside seating. It was quite awesome for a conversation over coffee. This time, I tried the pastries, and by all means, they were as good as they looked. I tried the almondini and the passionata. My friend tried the blueberries cheesecake. Well, the pastries are such a treat to make this place a want-to-come-back bakery. Now I just want to have something different every time. The service was great. The cashier was so friendly and helpful. I have been stopping in for croissants at this bakery since it has opened and they have been constantly good. I went in this past Saturday and purchased 4 croissants and a couple other goodies. The croissants were much smaller than usual and not big and fluffy as usual, they were dense and crispy, not what you would expect for a $5.00 croissant. The person serving at the cash was slow and unfriendly but better than the prego lady that worked there, she was aweful. Will be looking for another place to spend my money on baked goods. If you are ready to serve a croissants that was bad to your customers then you probably do not really care about your business. read more

I did reserve the order online for pick up using their site. I drove 45 minutes to this bakery to pick up their rose pistachio cake, and it was worth the trip! The flavors blended perfectly, and the combination of rose and pistachio was exquisite. The buttercream was perfection. Their crème brûlée was also delicious. I bought a few cake slices and pastries. I wasn't impressed. It was ok. Their version of red velvet is too sweet and the "chocolate cake" has pockets of sweet syrup. They are all one note I can't taste the flavor all I tasted was sweet. It was a slow time when I went and I was the only customer in line. I asked the cashier about a cake was that has no labels was (picture below) ,she audibly sighed and looked annoyed that I dared ask. All the items in the display except for the cake. She told me "it's JUST a chocolate cake" and that was it. The cake looked pretty so I bought it as I was curious what it was. I have been regularly meeting up with friends (and their dogs) at Heaven's Bistro Bakery since it opened in 2019. The staff are welcoming and provide wonderful customer service. The baked items are outstanding, as are the coffee drinks. There is a lovely outdoor seating area where my friends' dogs are always welcome. The owner, trained at Le Cordon Bleu, makes the best pastries (and much more) to be found anywhere. Over the years, I have enjoyed many of Austin's wonderful local bakeries. Heaven's Bistro Bakery is my go-to bakery. It is a gem. read more

It was about 8 AM, we had to drop off our Turo and start heading back to the airport. We were hungry but didn't want a huge breakfast before flying 4 hours, so I looked on Yelp for something quick we could grab. Heaven's was one of the few places in the area that was open. This is a bright, clean, cute bakery. I had to use the restroom and it was spotless. We each had an egg and cheese croissant, he had some iced coffee drink, and I had ginger peach iced tea. We loved everything! The buttery croissant was a perfect portion, stuffed with fluffy, cheesy eggs inside. On the way out husband decided to get something to go for the flight, an "everything bagel croissant" which was smaller that the ones we ate for breakfast. It's filled with cream cheese and has everything bagel seasoning all over it. I had a bite on the plane, it was tasty! Literally THE BEST pastry and cake bistro in Austin! My highlight is their croissants! So so so many layers. Crispy, flaky and fluffy all at once. My only suggestion is they can do better with the hot stuff. The cooked eggs and french toast was average. I wish they had real silverware coz eating croissants and eggs with plastic was so hard.
