BAKLAVA PISTACHIO,
Nicole B.

Staff is kind and baklava is amazing! This was our second time visiting because that's how great everything tastes. Highly recommend!

Ariadna S.

I tired this place by ordering a takeout via TooGoodToGo app. It was actually really good and the baklavas were still super fresh and delicious! I ended up taking some to work next day and shared with my coworker lol While I was waiting in line to pick up, I was given a sample, which ended it being my second favorite out of all I got to try!

The customer service and the delicious items they serve are incomparable. Each time I have gone here, was a great experience from entering to leaving. You can really tell they put love into this place. The viral Dubai chocolate was rich in flavor and not overly sweet. I love the multitude of choices of baklava here, sold at a reasonable price.

If you love baklava, then this is the place for you! They had a beautiful assortment of baklava ranging from traditional walnut to Nutella and the viral Dubai chocolate. Staff was super friendly and they offered a complimentary sample of their original with cheese. 1 lb assorted came out to about $18. Great gift for the holidays or for parties.

Came in for Dubai chocolate, left more baklava. Wish I had left with more baklava, they were soooo good. Never thought of myself as a baklava gal, but I was hooked as soon as they handed me a hot baklava fresh out the oven - and even the next morning I had the one I bought and it was just as amazing cold - it was lightly sweetened with honey and perfectly flaky, and creamy. Oh yeah. The Dubai chocolate was fine. I've realized I'm not a Dubai chocolate gal.

Walnut, pistachio, and other baklavas. Unfortunately we don't know what all we got because it was a TooGoodToGo deal. Delicious, though!

Delicious baklavas. We tried walnut, pistachio, and other baklavas. Unfortunately we don't know what all we got because it was a TooGoodToGo deal. Delicious, though! Definitely order your baklava to go... the shop is way too bright to enjoy as a dine-in customer. I am serious... it's as if they have halogens for ceiling lights. I could never sit inside this shop and enjoy a snack or have a conversation -- it's like being on a stage with floodlights shining on you. That said, it was PACKED with people to an unbelievable degree, so good for them! The shop was clean and smelled wonderful, and the baklava is delicious. We'll definitely be back to pick up more sweet treats (to take home).

Went here all the way to try the Dubai chocolate as it's one of the highly rated places with the viral chocolates in Austin. This place welcomed us with a free baklava. I tried them and love the cream cheese filling. The had a variety of them. This is my first time trying the Dubai chocolates and it was really worth the hype. Sometime the combination doesn't work for newly created dishes but this is a winner. Imagine bitting a Kit Kat and end up eating a Kade instead of a wafer. The kadayif with cheese and was absolutely a delight and can't stop with a single bite. Also there are pistachios topped on the bars just like Knafeh! I have had Knafeh in Dubai and this place makes a good one. Ended up getting two bars of regular Dubai chocolate for $5 each. The place was filled with authentic Middle Eastern desserts , dishes and snacks. Will return to try them.

We were given a sample while in the store waiting for our order. We ordered a Dubai strawberry cup, knafeh , and Dubai chocolate bar. Everything was the best we've had in Austin and reasonably priced for what they are.

Have you been wanting to try the viral sensation Dubai Chocolate? We'll look no further Sweets galore with no guilt ! When I arrived it was busy. They were giving out free samples while we waited. I got the Dubai Chocolate and Pistachio Mabrouma Baklava. The Dubai chocolate was tasty and I loved the crunch! Thee baklava was so good and sweet. It was sticky, flaky, crunchy, and sweet. My children was $5 for one bar. Next time I want to try the dark chocolate . I will definitely go again when I want a dessert. They have great options available. I highly recommend.

The lady who was at the front was so nice! She gave us baklava with filled cheese as a sample, and it was very delish! I couldn't get a pic of that, but we got the Dubai chocolate which was also very delish. The bakery was very clean.

The hubs and I decided to split the Big Elvis donut with house made peanut butter icing, fresh grilled bananas, grilled bacon and honey). What is not to like about this combination of ingredients? This savory donut's base was Gourdough's (play on words) signature sourdough donut and then layered with each of the ingredients. The layering of ingredients and flavors created a 5-alarm palate explosion. The donut was delicious...better and better with each bite. Wow, wow, wow! Crunch...flavor...smokiness...crunch...flavor...smokiness! We have not had a donut quite like this one. Maria, our donut chef, boldly told us that it was going to be best donut we had ever eaten. Such a bold claim...however, Maria came with "receipts". Total donut nirvana... Gourdough's is in a food truck park with ample seating outside and a few of cushioned love seats. Superb experience...

I prefer the mini but they're sold out a lot which shows you how spectacular this place is. My go to is the nutty valentine. The donut is always warm, fresh, and crispy. And the toppings of Nutella, cinnamon, and strawberries adds dimension & the perfect story. There is plenty of patio seating and lots of parking outside. There can be a line on the weekends and they tend to sell out so keep that in mind. The staff is friendly and service is quick!

Even so, the ambience seems like the decorations were cute, but very cheap and damaged overtime with little to no repairs. But I didn't come here for aesthetics. I came here for great Boba tea and sweet treats. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. What looked like a traditional milk toast dessert, was literally four pieces of stale bread, toasted and stacked on top of each other. that tasted freezer burnt with lots of sauce on top. No topping between each layer so it was not flavorful or tasty and all you could taste was a weird chemical flavor from the bread. Same thing with the ice cream, so freezer burnt that it tasted of chemicals, cardboard, and didn't even melt despite sitting on the plate for 15+ minutes. The Taro tea itself was fine with the crème brûlée topping, but the brown sugar Boba had the same chemical "going bad" flavor to it. It was super hard and bitter tasting instead of sweet. The soufflé pancakes were fine, but the ice cream was terrible on that too. It's hard to mess up Ice Cream, but somehow they managed.

The cheesecake shop is located on N. Lamar in Crescent Plaza and focuses on takeout rather than dine-in service. I ordered their signature Japanese cheesecake, and it was delicious. Unlike traditional dense cheesecake, it was incredibly light, fluffy, and airy, with just the right amount of sweetness. The cheesecake featured a thin, creamy top layer that paired nicely with the soft, cloud-like texture underneath. Each bite melted in my mouth, making it unlike any cheesecake I have had before. It was both unique and completely satisfying. The shop itself is small and designed primarily for grab-and-go customers, with no seating area available. The store manager was friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions. Pro tip: Parking in Crest Plaza can be difficult during peak hours, so plan accordingly.

The dining room is bright, airy, and calm, as a soothing oasis in an overstimulating desert. They've been on the scene for over 7 years, though it's still as busy as ever. The menu is compact but thoughtful, centered around Japanese comfort food with an eye for detail and utterly immaculate presentations. The sautéed tofu set truly an ideal, complete meal. With such a variety of dishes comprised of equally diverse flavors, colors, and textures, it puts the average bento box to shame. You get a steaming bowl of miso soup, pickled veggies, furikake-topped rice, and even a soft pine nut cookie to compliment the star of the show, which is a perfectly portioned serving of tofu and vegetable stir fry. I could happily eat this every day and. The yaki udon is a great standalone entree with tons of staying power thanks to those thick, chewy noodles. Plenty of tender-crisp vegetables and crispy tofu balance things out with all the protein and fiber you need to make it from lunch to dinner without any struggle. There are tons of lovely little bites, too. Onigiri are possibly their signature snack, and for good reason. Both the pickled vegetable and avocado varieties were beautifully formed and deceptively simple, letting the quality of each ingredient shine. We didn't stay to eat but the shop is such a cute little spot! If I lived more north I think I would make this a regular spot; parking is a little limited but it wasn't super busy when I stopped by on a Saturday a bit before 6. The staff was friendly and I really liked the vibe/decor inside, and that you can get food, ice cream, coffee, or a beer! Whatever you are in the mood for! We wanted some finger food so we got a variety of onigiri, some potstickers, chicken karaage, and spicy edamame. There was a short wait past the time quoted but it wasn't long, the staff was very communicative about it, and the food was fresh and hot when I received it. I'd rather have hot food a little late than lukewarm food any day! When we got to karaoke and dug in everything was still hot and delicious. I think my favorite were the potstickers but those are just one of my favorite things anyways lol, the onigiri was great, chicken was juicy, and the edamame just a little bit spicy. This was a great choice for a fun night and I can't wait to try more off the menu!
