I absolutely enjoyed Cafe Du Bliss and their menu was superb! Let's get into it!…read more As a coffee and matcha enthusiast, I was so excited to stumble across this place. Their menu, is unlike any other I have seen in the Austin area. It's unique, well crafted, and intentional. Now here's the fun part, that creativity has translated quite well into some of the most well tasting drinks in Austin. Corn Cream Matcha latte: The minute I saw this on the menu I knew I had to get it. I have seen corn matcha and lattes in California many of times, but never in Austin. A corn matcha or lattes is one of those drinks that is a challenge. You can either totally miss the corn flavor or overdo it. I think Cafe Du Bless gave me the perfect ratio and this drink was so yum. Give me 3 to go please. Earl grey matcha cloud: Their matcha cloud is so fluffy-as a cloud usually comes. But here's the thing can we please compliment it's perfect whip and the green on these matcha's! In regard to the earl grey taste itself, it was so well infused. Banana latte: Okay so as we all know banana flavors got as popular as strawberry last summer. I love a banana latte, but it's fair to say that even if a banana flavor is easily accomplished it's also hard to strike a balance, too bring consistency, and still allow the espresso to come through. Once upon a time, Disneyland released a drink called the Banoffee, it was a hit! I absolutely think Cafe Du Bliss came close to that trend with their banana latte. All of these drinks and I also must compliment their superb service. The girl who took my order was so sweet and I had questions about their drinks and she was so kind in her customer care. I will absolutely be back. They have a sweet potato latte and a black sesame latte I need to try.

They're an extremely busy cafe and it's not hard to figure out why. Even when there's a bit of a line, orders are received efficiently and timely. It's not a bad wait time and it's worth it knowing you're getting the most amazing treats and drinks. Service was happy, friendly, efficient, & top-notch. The menu is overwhelming but in a delicious way. Overwhelming in that I want everything on it. Always. However, I went with one of my favorite treats on the planet, taiyaki! Ok, we actually got five. One to share onsite and the rest to take home for later. We got two Nutella, two custard, and one cheese. I've had taiyaki from many, many different places and Cafe Du Bliss is in my top 3 favorites. The pastry had the right flakiness and flavor and there was no skimping on fillings. Super yum. Drinks: So many amazing matcha combo choices (& MUCH more). I opted for a strawberry slushie that was sweet and refreshing. Nothing beats fresh berries in an iced beverage. My boyfriend had the matcha & chocolate latte iced. Had a couple of sips...perfect matcha to chocolate ratio. The flavors were well balanced and tasty. Perfectly refreshing drinks (& treats) on a hot & sunny Austin day. Thank you, Cafe Du Bliss...we love you!

The art, florals and colors are like a Pinterest board come true. One of the bests desserts I have had in a long time is the Ube Blondie. Seriously, outstanding. Not too overwhelming with any flavor, equal parts frosting and cake. The Magic Matcha blends matcha with butterfly pea tea and created the perfect blend of earthy colors & flavors to balance the sweet dessert. The pastry case has stunning macarons of which I tried the Earl Grey and Coconut Espresso. Both had a surprise burst of flavor in the center. There are plenty of reasons to come back including the Saturn's Surprise (in house only drink) or the Afternoon Tea. Treat yourself to a trip into the Unicorniverse and add some color to your world!

We were exited to take my niece to the 'unicorn place' and support a plant based shop. It was super cute and she was excited about the decor and unicorns. Came a little after 9am on a Friday, it was maybe half full, but it took about 40 minutes to get two lemon tofu toasts. I was patient until my niece was getting antsy, she finished her pastry, we both finished our mediocre coffees, still no toast... I checked and the Apple Pay time stamp went through more than 30 minutes prior. I asked staff if our toast was still coming and they replied rudely like I was being a jerk to even ask. Pagers for food when they went off were obnoxious beeping. Just give people a table number and carry it out to them. Maybe they have one little toaster and person in the back? That said once the food came, the tofu was DELICIOUS, and a large portion. We could have split it. Croissant was unimpressive as was their chocolate croissant. Macarons were tasty, but not with the signature chew that ones made with egg whites would have. $$ Two plain lattes, two lemon toasts, a chocolate croissant and 6 macarons with a $5 tip was $88. Pretty ridiculous, and I am used to California, Bay Area prices.

The service was amazing, attentive, and super helpful walking us through the menu and answering all our questions. The food was so flavorful. It should be mentioned, that the noise level here is fairly high with all the patrons and children. They do have outdoor seating, including both an inside and outside breakfast bar. The first bar of measurement is the coffee. We were served a dark roast, which is somewhat comparable to what you get at Starbucks, but I'm not a fan of those creamer pods 3*. The good news is that they bring you an endless pot of coffee. We ordered the blueberry lemon cornbread in hopes that it come out first, but they forgot it. When it arrived, it was topped with a lemon custard. I'd recommend skipping the pancake and go with this choice, although it did remind me of that Jiffy cornbread with freeze dried blueberries. We chose the Athlete and the trifecta. Those choices were basically good and some yelpers draw comparisons to Denny's, but we thought it was a little better. For the money, it's worth a return visit. Service was also attentive. You can pay with a QR code on your receipt or visit the checkout station where the tip screen starts at 18%. Some additional points of interest is the fact that you will have to ask for water, I was pleased to see that they do offer real maple syrup for an additional charge, no credit card fee and there is ample parking. They do have a lunch menu and they do offer a good selection cocktails. It also appears every review gets a business owner response. Check out the informative photos.

Today we both wanted the biscuits with gravy and so we asked for just that! The service is as usual very prompt and courteous and our 2 plates came out fast and hot. We had each ordered the scrambled eggs soft- (so juicy) and they sadly were not as expected. The gravy was just barely enough to not even cover the biscuits- and it was very tasty, so we asked for more, and were billed for an additional side of gravy. Again the side of gravy that was provided and billed for, was very small. So there's room for improvement there. We enjoyed our meal but definitely would have enjoyed it more if more gravy had been used! Oh I forgot to mention that one of us ordered the stack of pancakes foster as an add on and they were good. Idk if the pancakes arrived hot, but by the time we got to try them they were very lukewarm. But the flavor was good. Overall, today it was average to good food: room for improvement! Enjoy!

I was in the area for work and looking for a relatively local place. Another Broken Egg is a chain,…read moreyes, but only in the sense that they have other locations in Texas. This trait is both an upside to the local vibe and quality, but a detriment that it is so far from where I live. Because I would definitely be a regular. There were lots of folks waiting on this Saturday morning as I had time to kill before flying home, after visiting the area for work. But, the host station handled everything well, quickly acknowledged people coming in, communicated clearly, and added folks to a text-based notification system. I opted to wait for the bar area and it proved to be faster. The bar staff were phenomenal, friendly, energetic and perfectly attentive. It's a modern cafe in a "strip mall" shopping area in a sense, but still, worth visiting. For the food, I had the coffee. OMG great Colombian coffee, so good. I drank it black - it needed no help. Adding cream or sugar would be an insult. And it was served in a beautiful stoneware mug. I ended up buying one as a souvenir ($23 at the time of this post). I also had the lobster brie omelette. I wasn't 100% on it by the name, but wow - it was amazing. The lobster was just right, it blended with the brie very well, and the eggs and other additions made a beautiful omelette ensemble that hit the spot.

On this visit, the ideas were there, but the execution felt like it took the morning off. The Lobster & Brie Omelette sounded like it was aiming for a little coastal glamour, the kind of dish that should feel light, silky, and just a touch celebratory. Instead, the Brie came in like it had something to prove. It sat on top in a thick, molten sheet that never melted into the eggs -- it just smothered them. Pair that with cream cheese inside, and the whole thing leaned dense and sticky on the palate. The lobster was tender, but it didn't stand a chance under all that dairy. In Austin, where chefs know how to let a star ingredient breathe, this felt more like "we had Brie, so we used Brie" than any real culinary intention. The gumbo missed the mark in a different way. The first spoonful tasted thin, like the roux never fully committed. It didn't have that slow‑built depth or warmth that makes gumbo feel like it's been tended to. The seafood didn't bring much character because the base wasn't there to support it. Honestly, the focaccia on the side had more personality than the gumbo itself -- and that's not the hierarchy you want. Service was warm and the space pleasant, but the food felt like ambition without follow‑through. In a city where brunch is practically a competitive sport and where balance, technique, and restraint are the norm -- these dishes needed more refinement and a clearer sense of flavor priorities. With a little more intention, they could be far more compelling than they were on this visit. Tell me this, Yelp fam... what is your fav brunch spot? Write a review about it if you have one.

Glad it did. The menu isn't huge, but honestly that's usually a good sign -- focus on doing a smaller menu really well instead of serving 94 mediocre things and a sad waffle. I ordered the Bad Ass Bacon & Eggs plate. It came with thick-cut bacon, 2 eggs, hash brown casserole, wheat toast, and smoked salsa. Bacon - 9/10 This wasn't your average thin breakfast bacon. Thick-cut, almost pork belly style, with killer flavor and very meaty. Eggs - 9/10 Cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. Simple, but done right. Hash Brown Casserole - 8/10 Different than what I expected, but in a good way. Unique flavor and a great addition to the plate. Salsa - 7/10 Very homemade style salsa with a smoky flavor. Different, but really good. Atmosphere - 9/10 Loved the vibe. Cozy atmosphere, great music, and just an overall comfortable place to sit and enjoy breakfast. If this place was closer to home, I'd eat here often. Service - 10/10 Excellent service. Christy H. was friendly, attentive, and on point the whole time. Overall - 9/10 Definitely a must-try breakfast spot in Austin. They currently have four locations, and after eating here, it's easy to see why.
