Walked to this little spot from our Airbnb and it was great. Cute little place and the sign!! Espresso, champagne, bike lube I got Avo toast in sourdough and it was amazing! The fresh greens were delicious and the radish gave it a little kick. Literally the best Avo Toast I have had! You order at the counter and they bring certain things to your table. As a cyclist, this spot is my home away from home. It's where I grab a quick coffee before an early morning group ride, or where I grab a drink/dinner after enjoying an evening riding with my friends. The space is wonderful, with an expansive outdoor patio and lots of indoor seating as well. The staff is super friendly and hard working, cranking out espressos in record time. When I need to get out of my prison cell of what I call my home office, this is the first place I turn to. I live on the south side of town, so the drive on 35 is no fret, as most locals are aware of. That said, their award winning cookie and a nice flat white always do the trick to a pick-me-up. The service is lovely, warm, and so helpful, and the back patio is just fantastic. They have a parking lot (a pain to get into honestly because the driveway is 45 degrees), but there is plenty of street parking right across from the cafe. I had a $5.50 reward on the Local by Toast app (their POS system) and the man at the counter could not care less. He told me to use the card associated with my account which everyone knows is how it works. I just didn't recall which card it was. The app gave me a QR code and he didn't even bother trying to use it or to ask for help. He just told me to use the associated card and didn't care when I said I can't recall which card that is. I told him I was gonna order online like most restaurants allow via Toast. Instead of telling me they don't take online orders, he let me shuffle around the store and tap around on my phone to figure it out myself. Also their seasonal latte is $10. That's too bold. I was here Monday night, 01/19, between 7pm and 7:40pm and while I was washing my hands at the bathroom sinks a man came out of one of the bathroom stalls, ran his hands under the other faucet for legitimately not even one full "Mississippi" (no soap or anything), dried his hands on his clothes then walked out. I thought "Ew" but when I walked out the cafe area I noticed the same man behind the serving bar walking into the kitchen. The ambience was great, extremely welcoming and clean. No wait whatsoever and the food was excellent. Although we did miss breakfast, lunch was great. Wow wow wow. We were only in town for 2 days and so glad we chose this place to have a late lunch! We will definitely come back the next time we are in the area. What got my attention was the sauce, I'm not sure what's in it but has a teeny bit of heat that was amazing. The cheese was stringy when hot and made it very fun to take it off the tray. Personally, I liked eating off the little rectangular trays they give you (grew up eating pizza off of the white paper plates). Perfect for eating pizza with your hands or if you switched half way to use fork/knife. We also got the chicken shawarma dish and boy it looked amazing. I didn't get to try it because the person who ordered it scarfed it down so quickly. But from the looks of it, I'm guessing it was on point with flavor.
