Upon mine every visit, I am greeted with such warmth that I feel as though I have returned unto my second home. The grounds beareth the delightful spirit of a Cub Scout camp, and upon certain days, good folk gather to learn the arts of the wilderness -- the striking of hammers upon timber, and the shooting of arrows at distant marks. One morn there appeared a gentleman who stitched garments with great skill and courtesy. Another time stood a musician who played both the harmonica and the mouth harp at once, whilst bounding upon a pogo stick as though driven by enchantment. Upon a Tuesday not long past, a strange vessel descended from the heavens, and the musician was swept upward by its radiant light. He was taken, examined for his gifts, and after much probing for knowledge, was returned unto us transformed. When he reappeared, he had become a mighty totem, carved like a great log of the forest. I do believe his soul resides within the wood still. I commend this place most highly, and bid all travelers to tarry here awhile -- for truly

Food trucks outside make it easy to grab a bite while you hang out. The space is rustic and quirky with lots of wood, string lights, and a big patio that feels like its own little world. Inside is smaller and cozy, while outside has plenty of seating and even a stage for live music or comedy. It's also dog-friendly, which adds to the lively atmosphere even though I don't have a pup of my own yet. Service is consistently friendly and helpful, and the vibe makes it just as easy to keep coming back to.

The ambiance does look upscale, so are their prices. They have a great outdoor space and beautifully decorate indoor space. They're trying a lot of things - coffee shop with a bakery, dining restaurant, beer hall with craft beers. It does definitely get filled up in the mornings. My order: Bavarian latte Sour cream Kolaches Everything bagel with scallion cream cheese Bavarian latte though seasonal was nice and flavorful. Kolaches which was a savory and the everything bagel was something I loved with the cream cheese. Must-try! The order came around $20.

We arrived and they have a great patio, had live music and there were quite a few people there. We elected to go inside since we had been out all day and we ordered beers, some deserts, and I ordered an 'Ol Fashioned. Oddly enough, great chocolate and a fantastic 'Ol Fashioned go well together. However, the brownie was really dry - seemed to a a few days old, and the drink was just OK. They indicated it would be made with a mix so that probably my bad. My friend had a couple of beers and another dessert but his feedback was the same. I would have liked to stay longer and come back on another night to see if my first visit was an anomaly. I would think they normally have better drinks and food than we had on our first visit!

I believe I finally have had enough trips to Sour Duck Market to write my review. Here's my take,…read morewhy just go once, come back for more of their menu. One thing I take seriously are my reviews and giving any place the opportunity to show me consistency and all around goodness. First and foremost, I will like to compliment the friendly staff. They are extremely friendly, helpful, and everyone seems to really enjoy working there. Whether offering seating or sharing more about their menu:) That said, Sour Duck Market is a great place to come for a relaxed atmosphere and enjoyment. They have seating out back, some spots out front, and inside. I come here to study, but it's also a great spot to have a time with family and friends. The true yelp topic, however, is the food. And let's just say I'm on board with what others have said. I have tried the burgers, fries, sweets/pastries, and of course the drinks. My favorite of all these is a brisket sandwich with their fries! The brisket itself has an amazing sauce which I heard is made in house. This sauce is also used on the burgers and if you order either with their amazingly seasoned fries you won't be disappointed! As for drinks, I loved the Mexicano latte, that's my personal favorite. The spices and the espresso is well balanced and is my go to drink. That said, it is my favorite. They also have a caramel latte, but it is on the sweeter side. It's good, but sweeter than my liking. As for any pastries you get, I tried some of their fan favorite which include the honey cake and wow! As a baker myself, I quite enjoyed this cake since it was moist and the frosting itself was the perfect consistency and texture. It was also not too sweet and not overly powerful, but added what it needed to the cake. Anyways, I come here often, and would recommend to those looking for a sweet spot to enjoy with family. It's by the UT Austin baseball field, so if you're coming for game day you should stop by and enjoy their offerings.

The double patty burger was so large and so tasty. The Pimento cheese spread was a wonderful tasty addition. The pickles were just right. They were thick and crisp and fresh! Did order the fries as a side. They were a tad over salted but cooked very well. The spicy ketchup went well with them. A non regular ketchup is always a plus! Very impressed with how the portions were wonderfully sized. The service of the proper modifications to the burger were appreciated and spot on! Thank you!

And BTW you can only order online with a qr code (this is always a bad customer experience imo). And just like this, the customer service isn't up to part. The fish is fantastic with a crispy hand batter. The fries were the absolute worst. Not crispy and tasted like I took some non name brand fries and threw them in an air fryer. And for $13 I expect more than 4 oz of fish. Sure there were plentiful fries but when they're that bad we both wasted money. But coming back to the service, with 3 empty bottles of malt vinegar and an empty ketchup dispenser and one guy working, of course I'm going to rate the service as bad. But let's face it, we come for the BEER!!
