Oh how I dig this place. It's got the quintessential old school Austin vibe flying high. Probably one of my fave places to see live music. Li'l Nonna's being parked out front is a supreme bonus and same can be said for Zucchini Kill Bakery located on the property. Straight up proper vibes with a slew of groovy patrons, performers, and employees. It's like family. Prices are reasonable and the drinks are amazeballs!!

Very relaxing and quiet during the day. multiple food trucks and souvenir items tattoo parlor on the same site!

The one on the left in particular IM SURE IS RACIST. The one on the right is completely an asshole.

I want to make this clear before I start. I'm a very respectful person, I understand having a rough day, and I don't care for great customer service however, there's a big difference between just doing your job versus going out of your way to be rude. These two did the former Both girls were EXTREMELY rude. I'm unsure if it was racism, but asking a simple question (about my drink being made) led to the one on the left being very much hostile. The one on the right isn't better at all completely co-signed her coworkers actions. If you are not a people's person (which they were with white people btw) don't be a bartender. Asking the one on the left " Is this my drink?" Shouldn't be met with " Well did you order this!?!" A simple yes or no would've sufficed. If it's not in your heart to answer SIMPLE questions from people who are making your ends meet, work somewhere else. Never going back here.

Beautiful bar! Spacious patio with beautiful lighting. The bartender is splendid and knowledgeable about the drinks. Their happy hour is 3-6 pm. Although they don't have food there is a food truck that comes on the weekends, which I am looking forward to trying! They also have a cute little tattoo shop in the back of the patio area. 5/5 will be returning.

The short: great drinks, people watching and flanked by amazing approachable eats. Dog friendly. The long: we had time to kill and Tweedy's bar caught our eye. It was a rainy overcast day in Austin but Tweedy's features both indoor and outdoor seating (both covered and uncovered). Its outdoor seating has a tiered /graded style which makes it fun for people watching. Flanked by counter culture and zucchini kills for eats you really can't go wrong. Complex frozen cocktails and a oh so solid Sazerac. They are dog friendly and have a poop bag station for all your canine needs. Tweedy's is making the short list.

Now, the real star: the gluten-free baked goods. We tried four different things, cookies included, and honestly? I was stunned. The flavor, the softness, the balance, nothing felt like a "gluten-free compromise." It tasted like the real deal, maybe even better. Not overly sweet, not dry, not crumbly, just genuinely delicious pastries that happen to be gluten-free. I don't know what magic they're working in that kitchen, but this is easily the best gluten-free bakery I've come across. A must-visit, no question.

Maaribu is modern, cool and…read moreeclectic coffee shop and store where you can have the most delicious cup of coffee along with a pastry or bite. Every piece in the store appears to be intentionally curated. Maaribu melds a home and gift shop with an in house café and bakery, creating an experience that's both relaxing and memorable. According to Mable, my server, Maaribu is a combination of the word Marfa (Texas town that has the Prada store) and Malibu. The brand is often described as combining Marfa's creative spirit, Malibu's laid back lifestyle, and clean Scandinavian design. The shop portion of Maaribu is beautifully styled, featuring furniture, décor, books, and gifts that have a modern flare. All the items are easy to peruse and get drawn in. The use of color is playful and engaging. Maaribu's key highlight is its café and bakery. The in house café has an assortment of coffee, wellness beverages, and dedicated gluten free baked goods. I bought a Rose honey latte, which was divine along with a multi-layer pastry. Mable said customers enjoy the quality and flavor of the pastries...scones, muffins, cookies, brownies, and egg bites are frequent favorites. Importantly, the café is reported to be fully gluten free, which makes it a standout destination for people with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities, without sacrificing taste or variety. The outdoor seating and patio area add to the charm, making Maaribu a great place to enjoy coffee and pastries on a nice Austin morning. After years in Austin, I finally discovered Maaribu--a modern, eclectic coffee shop and store. Every item is thoughtfully curated, blending a home-and-gift shop with a café and bakery for a relaxing experience. The name combines Marfa's creative vibe, Malibu's laid-back style, and Scandinavian design. The shop offers stylish furniture, décor, books, and gifts, all easy to browse and visually engaging. Maaribu's café is fully gluten-free, featuring quality pastries like scones, muffins, cookies, brownies, and egg bites, as well as wellness drinks and coffee. Outdoor seating makes it a perfect spot to enjoy coffee and pastries on a pleasant Austin morning. Wow...Maaribu!!!

That alone made it a great find, but what made the experience even better was discovering that they also had live entertainment on Tuesday night until 11. It turned a simple coffee stop into a really enjoyable evening. I ordered a coffee and a brownie, and while the total was a little on the expensive side, around $15 or $16, it felt completely worth it to me. The quality was there, and everything felt a bit more gourmet than your average coffee shop stop. The brownie was delicious, the coffee was exactly what I wanted, and the overall atmosphere made the price feel justified. Between the free entertainment, the beautiful decor, and the location, it felt like much more than just paying for coffee and dessert. One of the best parts of the experience was the setting. Being right on the water made it especially beautiful at night. You can enjoy your drink, take a walk, look at the lights, and just soak in the scenery. It was the perfect place to unwind after a heavy meal and a long workday. Since I was only in Austin for work and do not live in the area, I was really glad I found somewhere that felt special and relaxing instead of just functional. The staff was also very friendly, which added a lot to the experience. Good service always makes a difference, and here it made the place feel even more welcoming. Overall, I definitely recommend Mozart's Cafe if you are looking for a late-night coffee spot with charm, scenery, and a unique atmosphere. I would absolutely go back again.
