I have been to Lustre Pearl South before but never even knew this place existed. I was underwhelmed with the food choices and, quite frankly, the alcohol selection. I never do this but I was drinking Michelob from the tap...bizarre. The bartenders looked hungover or like they didn't want to be there. The only redeeming quality was the kitchen staff which was super quick and our food came out super hot. The vibe was weird...some couples were in the pods, someone was celebrating their dog's birthday with a huge party, and it was still kind of quiet. The worst part was that there were soooooo many flies. So frustrating! read more

Just visited this location for the first time the other day. Stopped in for a late lunch with colleagues. Wow, I really like it! Like that it's a mile from work and home. When I came to visit Austin for the WEC race in September 2025, I bookmarked about 60 places. This was NOT one of them but what a sleeper! Why didn't I see this spot before!? A great spot! Came here to watch a football game on Thursday night and had some brews. I didn't order food just a liquid diet and it's a 5 star from me. Great open spaces. Friendly staff. Competitive prices. Note! I have not been to any other Lustre Pearl location, so I can't compare. The appetizers here I would consider bar fare, but ever so slightly elevated. The fries are a perfect blend of crispy and soft. Even the ketchup is better than expected. The brussels sprouts are well seasoned and roasted to perfection. Cheese curds? Deep fried deliciousness. Go with a group and split everything you can. I will say their veggie burger is solid, but not something I'll crave. Servers are quick. They're also incredibly patient when I take forever to order and helpful if you need assistance in deciding what to drink. They have their own mule, which I recommend. They also have a cocktail called the Cactus Blossom, it is fantastic if sweet drinks are your preference. I'll be back to try some more signature cocktails. One has the name Matthew Pecanaughey, which just makes me feel like I have to give it a shot. read more

Back during my January trip to Austin, I recall this as our last stop on Sunday. We had just finished venturing other establishments so it was getting to the late hours of the evening; my buddy mentioned this spot being open late on Sundays so we got over here for some drinks and late night bites. I like the exterior of the place as there is indoor and outdoor seating that flows together with the bar area. There's typical bar food available including tacos and wings and house drink specialties. We caught the last of the Ravens vs Bengals playoffs game as we sipped our Ranchwaters and El Caminos while munching on our tacos. I went with the Ranger taco (chopped beef, bbq sauce, slaw) which was decent. The slaw helps with the consistency of the meat although it's a high price at $5 per taco. Guess this is the new norm in terms of price sadly. While prices are high like a stoner on an edible, the atmosphere and quick service are reasons to come back. I hope to try their other eats such as the cuban sandwich and cheese curds next time I'm here. People seem to be lustre'ing for a good time here as I did myself! read more

We really enjoyed the different areas to walk around at Lustre Pearl. Many different scenes to choose from! My only drink here was an Old Fashioned made with Bulleit bourbon, and turned out great! Good, smooth taste, and not too overpowered by the booze, and not too sweet either! The staff were amazing, and very accommodating! read more

This place has my heart. That sounds corny, but I do think this place is a treasure. The old house is open to lounge in with lots of small private spaces to hang out with friends. The turf lawn is big and open, plenty of activities to partake in. The food is good, the drinks are cold, and this place just makes me feel good vibes all around. My friends and I decided to checkout their watch party for the usa world cup game this morning. They opened early and had coffee at 7am and then the bar opened at 8am for the 9am game they have a lot of space and it was a good environment for the game. I drink a bloody Mary, a michelada, and a few Rainey mules. The bloody Mary was good and the Rainey mules were delicious....like pink lemonade with vodka. The micheladas were meh. They had potato and also beef breakfast tacos. We only tried the beef but they were good. Despite being super packed, bar service was pretty solid. We held a party here after our wedding. We rented the small house that is normally a coffee house. The venue was great, they turned to coffee bar into a bar which worked out great. The bartenders worked their butts off and were super nice. The night of our party was also a Texas A&M game, tons of A&M fans, our guests were not able to enjoy the some of the things available in the back. Totally understandable, but wanted to give a heads up. The food was the normal food from Lustre Pearl. The wings were great. read more

Stopped by for another delightful Annual Puppy Party. There's plenty of outdoor seating, so you can bring your pups or children anytime. Additional parking is in the back. We enjoyed wholesome Ranger tacos (prices on the menu are apparently for each taco) and mixed drinks. The service was fast despite the large crowd. Really cute spot with indoor and outdoor areas. Dogs were welcome outside and there was tons of fans to help keep all of us cool. They had a big screen in this back area playing premier league. Some TVs on the inside as well. Seems like a great spot to catch some games. Bartenders were all nice. Drinks were good. Just a little pricey. Brussels with the cheese and pretzels was yummy! Trying to be as fair as possible with this review. The food (bar food) is very good! The staff, however, is less than friendly. And they 'claim' - via a banner outside of their entrance - that they show ALL NFL games every Sunday. If by 'show' that means that they play a portion of every game, then that may be true. However, they cut off our game today - a VERY competitive game that wasn't decided until the final minute - to show the 49er game due to a '49er Watch Party'. Not cool. Lustre Pearl has a great location but everything else is forgettable at best. When I was craving a club sandwich, I eventually remembered seeing a club on their menu, so I biked over to try it. I think 4 stars is right on the money here! Service was friendly, welcoming and prompt. We were all impressed with the food. I dare say the food was the surprise highlight of the visit! Everything was VERY well executed and slightly elevated. Specifically, their Cuban was fantastic. The ambiance is super chill with plenty of nooks and crannies to set up as your own space for an intimate night out or to meet up with friends. Cocktails were also quite good. As summer rolls around and you find yourself wanting to enjoy the weather at an outside bar, one place to consider is Lustre Pearl. I recently came by for a happy hour with co-workers and got to try a couple of their snacks off the menu as well as a drink such as the: - Loaded Tots: these are topped with brisket, avocado, cilantro, sriracha, goat cheese, and chipotle aioli - I mean, look at my picture. I don't have to explain how good it was. You got to try this one! - 6 Chicken Wings: we went with Garlic Rosemary and that was nice since I haven't had a flavor like that on wings before. I like the strong herbal flavor in that one. - Adult Chicken Nuggets: we went with the Ranch Rub on this and I liked how different it was to the garlic rosemary flavor. This one is stronger and richer, a must try for any ranch lover. - House Sweet Potato Fries: some sweet potato fries are hit or miss, and this was a hit. The spicy miso aioli that comes with it is a good pairing! - Lustre Lemonade: as a sweet drinker who's favorite fruit is Strawberry, this is all I could want: vodka, strawberry syrup, lemon juice, and soda water. Great refreshing drink for a hot day. All in all, I give them an 4/5 since I had a great time! Good food selection, good drink selection, various specials throughout the week, and fun atmosphere to come with friends. I suggest y'all come try them out! read more

This is my favorite bar in East Austin by a long shot. I joined a cornhole league that played at Lustre Pearl East and it was the perfect outdoor bar setting. There are tons of murals around this bar (perfect for picture taking!) and picnic style tables outside. Most of the seating is outside with 4-5 tables inside, so definitely come on a nice sunny day. Lustre Pearl East also has a private event space that can be reserved. Parking is free and mostly along the street. As for food, there are quite a few beers on draft and great food options. I order the brussels religiously and have never been disappointed... they're mixed with pretzels and topped with a savory sauce and beer cheese. Best brussels in Austin, and all for $7. I've had their wings and tacos too and both were delicious. Of course I have to give a shout-out to the AMAZING bartenders at Lustre Pearl. They always remembered my order and welcomed me with a smile. Great people and great environment... definitely check out this bar if you're in the area. read more

Love the vibe of this place! The large outdoor setting is great for chilling in the evenings or late night.. with a decent drinks and food menu. There is plenty of seating space with benches spread out throughout the area. We had the veggie burger and chicken sandwich, both were tasty with big portion sizes. Which, interestingly, is not a bad thing, as the crowd out here is pretty much your default East Austin crowd (dogs included). I've been a regular at Lustre Pearl Tuesday trivia nights for a couple months now. First off, five stars to the hosts. I've been to many Geeks Who Drink nights at bars around Austin and the folks who run the show here have the right combination of humor, expediency, and most importantly music taste. As far as Lustre Pearl itself - the bar food is nothing to write home about. The tacos are nice enough but they have off nights and on nights and for $5 a taco you can do much better elsewhere. The drinks are not terribly priced but just keep in mind this is a nicer bar in East Austin so you more or less know what you're in for. As far as the space itself, it would be nice to have more places to beat the heat but the outdoor space is quite nice - just make sure you grab some bug spray before you head out the door. Overall, this is a solid bar and a great place to hang out on a week night. Check it out! read more

I'm a Lustre Pearl girl that goes back to its original beautiful old house when it was the only place on Rainey St. How happy I was when they moved the old house to my neighborhood. It quickly became my normal stomping grounds where everyone knows my name. Cheers. I could go into a number of things that makes this place imperfect. But honestly what's perfect is the staff & the friendly regular faces. So now you're wondering why 2 stars??? After countless years of being customers, my husband & I were banned after asking for the lights to be dimmed. We first asked our bartenders about these odd spotlights at the bar, who told us they were directed by Ryan (manager) that the lights couldn't be touched, against their own wishes as well. The lights were set for "closing time"... get your Sh*t & get out inviting kind of style. As regulars, we like things to be regular. The same ol' food, the ol' regular drink, & the same neighborhood bar lighting. Ryan's reply was a snarky "Well I like it the way it is." Which left us to ask for the check in return. After being a manager for 7 years myself & now an owner of my own business... if my customer asked me for an easy accommodation to make them comfortable, I'd do it in a heartbeat. We started coming here before people even realized they re-opened. We've watched it become popular over time. My response... "Well I like it the way it WAS." As the spectre of being hospitalized by COVID continues to ease, I've enjoyed revisiting my favorite Austin hangouts; especially those with outdoor spaces. The Geeks Who Drink trivia night on Tuesdays at Lustre Pearl promises a fun time, yummy food, and tasty drinks. What my group of friends didn't count on this past Tuesday was a female bartender's phone number scrawled on the receipt belonging to a married member of our party who had ordered food and drinks with his wife at his side. We also sat in plain view of bar staff for about 2 of hours and, although the married couple weren't all over one another like a couple of teenagers, the casual onlooker would easily see that they were together. I love that Austin is very Texas friendly, and, who doesn't enjoy the flattery of getting the phone number of a young, attractive admirer? However, as a person working behind the bar, I figure this bartender also has to be observant and gauge many things about a customer: their age, sobriety level, with whom are they sitting, etc. The bar area wasn't very crowded this past Tuesday, so we can't attribute this paper proposition to a simple misunderstanding. So, couples beware. You might be forced to have that awkward conversation with your partner a few days after one of you is handed a phone number by the person you bought drinks from at Lustre Pearl. The recipient of the phone number wanted to avoid creating a scene on Tuesday night (his wife would have likely had words with the female bartender), so had to hold his tongue for a few days before sharing his experience. Lustre Pearl: please talk to your staff about being more aware of your client's relationship status, or at least being respectful of it... especially if they're gonna jot their number down on a receipt. Plus 4 stars for food and atmosphere; minus 3 for lack of awareness and creating an awkward situation. read more

Nice indoor area as well as a lot of outdoor area. Dog friendly. Service: The service staff is relatively friendly. We live close to Lustre Pearl South but boy do we love the east location. It's a nice indoor/outdoor bar. Their sweet potato chips and tot nachos are amazing! We have gone in a Friday night where it was not so packed and we have visited when they had a frida Friday event and it was packed. They have tons of seating so it didn't feel too crowded. There are so many cool breweries and local beers that I simply can't get at home, so I made the most of the trip. After a day of drinking, I met with my good friend Luci H (of Yelp Austin fame). We decided to make the most of the evening and came here for a drink - and a bite. Really cool bar. We sat outside and there was a just a great vibe. Chill playlist, it wasn't too hot...it was great. Had a local beer...duh. It was light, refreshing and I wish I remembered the name. But I don't. I do remember their tap list being mainly local brews. I ALSO remember the tots. Wowowoow.
