Just awful customer service. Went there for the grand opening and they were understaffed and after hours waiting to pay for a drink was told they were out of the drinks they advertised. Gave them time to settle in and came back today since they advertised "$2.22 specials all day." Well it's 8:30pm and I came in and worked forever for their 1 bartender to tell me "we're out." No apology, no alternative option, just an explanation that they don't have what they advertised. Management clearly gives no fucks if I keep having the same bad experience every time I go here. I'll take my money elsewhere and hope this place eventually shuts down so an owner who cares can open something and put care into it.

Long Goodbye? More like a long hello where have you been all my life? I visited a few weekends ago for their vintage pop-up shop, which they host every other Sunday. The shop was impressive, with plenty of cool, cute finds that were reasonably priced compared to other shops around town. As for food and drinks, they have La Santa Barbacha serving tacos and Fleet Coffee to satisfy your caffeine cravings. Plus, there's an indoor and outdoor bar for those looking to enjoy a cocktail or beer. A few downsides: parking is limited, with only a few dedicated spots and mostly street parking. The tacos were tasty, but the wait was a bit long I would suggest an online ordering option would help speed things up here. Overall, I'll definitely be back, maybe for their weekday happy hour, to enjoy the retro indoor bar ambiance!

Great spot for happy hour, large groups and patio seating! I recently went for a work gathering and it was perfect. The drinks were reasonably priced for happy hour and the palomas are delicious. I haven't tried the taco food truck near by but I'll have to check it out. The aesthetic and vibes of this place scream Austin and so this will be a place I take my out of town friends to.

I've been meaning to check out The Long Goodbye ever since they opened a few months ago, and had high hopes! My boyfriend's parents are visiting in November and love cocktail bars, so we figured we would check out Long Goodbye in advance in case we wanted to take them there. SO glad we vetted it beforehand, because we won't be taking them here. We parked in the neighborhood and then walked over. There's really cute seating outside which would be great when the weather is cooler. There is an employee sitting outside checking IDs, which is a bit strange, but I guess given the proximity to UT campus they have to worry about underage drinkers. Inside, there is bar seating and then a corner of little tables. We arrived at around 9pm and easily found a two-top table inside. We looked around for menus for almost 5 min and couldn't find one, and nobody offered to help. Eventually, after waiting at the bar for a few minutes, we were able to get drinks. I ordered the "In Cold Blood" and my boyfriend got "Trouble in Tijuana". I normally love cocktails, but what I got was unfortunately the worst cocktail I ever had. I kept sipping more of it, thinking it might get better. I stirred it, in case that was the issue. I genuinely could not finish it, it was so bad. I hate to leave negative reviews like this, because this is really only my individual experience. There are plenty of positive things about this place, but unfortunately we did not enjoy our experience and we will not be back.

Came here for happy hour on a Thursday with friends. The drink special was great but the line was long. Definitely plan ahead and order two drinks while you're at the bar. The outside seating was pretty nice and it's dog friendly. A great place to bring your pup and catch up with friends.

This is one of my favorite places to spend a Sunday Funday. The little outdoor cabana-style bar is where we like to hang out. Meet a lot of cool people that way. Super rad mixologists who are very accommodating and friendly. Cocktails are always above and beyond.

Love our local spot. Such a good place to sit outside and have a drink. We come here all the time in the morning for tacos and coffee, but this bar is a welcome addition for later in the day. Highly recommend you stop by this cute little complex for an afternoon!

This is a cool little spot on Manor road. We stopped here after eating brunch on a Sunday morning. They had several vintage outdoor shops setup and a couple of other spots you could get coffee and snacks. The bar is pretty small and cozy. They have a pretty small menu as well. I enjoyed my frozen margarita that I had. The service was good and if there isn't something on their menu the bartender was willing to make it.

I wanted to like this place because it's so close.... But the drinks just aren't that good. We had the island old fashioned, retox margarita, rancher martini, and the trouble in Tijuana. The first two were the best of the 4, but not stellar. The old fashioned was decent. It was a nice flavor (nothing special). The frozen retox margarita was probably the best thing on the menu. It wasn't too sweet and it was a good marg. The trouble in Tijuana had a kick to it and the froth was nice, but still just okay. The rancher martini was the worst of them. It really tasted like it wasn't sure if it wanted to be a salty marg or a Smokey mezcal beverage... either way, I hoped for more. At least on Thursdays, aka Throwback Thursdays, they have $10 drinks which makes it more palatable.

The staff is super knowledgeable and passionate, and they take the time to walk you through the differences in flavor, region, and even who made it. You can tell they really care about honoring the traditions and the people behind the spirits. Cocktails are thoughtful and seasonal, but I'd recommend trying at least one pour neat. The food is just as good, as you might have guessed by the menu next door. The thick cut tortilla chips are unbeatable, especially when paired with fresh guacamole and homemade salsa. Whether you're a mezcal nerd or just curious, La Mezca is one of the most unique and thoughtful drinking experiences in Austin. I'll definitely be back.

Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! When we walked in an artist was playing romantic music on his keyboard, which set the tone for the brunch. It is a small restaurant inside with a larger area of seating on the patio. Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. I ordered a mimosa that had high quality ingredients and was perfectly balanced...so smooth. We were also pleased with the drinks. This was the first time at Rosé Gosé, however, it definitely will not be the last.
