Cute neighborhood bar! It gets pretty busy, I think they could use more outdoor seating spaces. The music inside is a bit loud, especially since the vibe gives 'conversational space.' Go ahead and leave your tab open when you visit! The martinis are that good + cold!

A round marble table holds a large beige fabric lampshade, two cocktails garnished with mint and lemon, and a framed menu from Teddy's in Austin, TX. The background includes window blinds and a dark wall panel, indicating an indoor setting in a cozy bar environment.

Teddy's is it for me, gang! From the signage to the seating and cocktails, I am all over this bar. The atmosphere is romance meets private club but without that stuffy upper-crust feeling. Inclusive for sure. It's so relaxing there I really didn't want to leave. It's nice to find a place that makes people feel that comfortable. The bartenders are really fantastic mixologists. Cocktail artists if you will. Prices are similar to that of other bars. The difference here is that you are really drinking works of art. I can't wait to get back!

We came here at the end of the night as a turn down spot after a housewarming. It was pretty quaint, kind of felt like old-school Austin vibe. Drinks are a little pricey, but I guess that's what you get for getting cocktails

Great vibes and great drinks! If I lived nearby, I would be a regular. Sat on the patio on a late evening and it was so enjoyable and relaxing.

A nice addition to the neighborhood although i'll miss thunderbird (rip). The vibe is dark and sophisticated and the drinks are interesting and tasty. I liked the staff, the coasters, and the set up and location. We went at 5pm on a Saturday and the place really was popping, almost every seat taken. It got pretty loud as it became more packed, and was hard to hear eachother in a booth. The place is clean and tidy, and I enjoyed the vibe here. I understand it's a specialty cocktail bar vibe, but $15-20 per cocktail is just a tad iffy for me in terms of value, which holds it back to 4 stars for me when you're spending $35 for 2 drinks (that are small to average size).

Local coaster - A round paper coaster displaying the Teddy's Neighborhood Bar logo, which includes the text 'Since 2024,' 'Teddy's,' 'Neighborhood Bar,' and 'Austin, Texas.' The coaster is placed on a wooden surface, and the design uses a combination of serif and sans-serif fonts with a dark border around the edge.

Wow! I just stumbled upon this local bar when trying to find a place to hang out after an event before driving north, and I am so glad I did. It's cozy with a variety of seating. Since I was alone, I sat at the bar. Megan was my bartender, and the woman is skilled. I started with the freezer door martini- dirty. It was so good and packed a punch. I loved that the glass was perfectly chilled. Little things make such a difference when it comes to serving a great cocktail. While happy hour was still going, I ordered a Manor Moontower. This drink was so good that I might have to plan more outings to this part of Austin just to have an excuse to go drink it. I wish I lived closer. I love velvet falernum, but hadn't had golden falernum before. I enjoyed the spice that it added to the drink, and I am a huge fan of mezcal. This really is a perfect summer drink, and Megan is a pro at making amazing cocktails. She was also very attentive. The bar doesn't serve any food, but she said I was welcome to bring in a snack. Always good to know.

The menu displays a selection of cocktails available at Teddy's in Austin, TX, including drinks such as Clementine, Teddy's Club, and Tally Me Banana, with detailed ingredient descriptions and prices ranging from $13 to $15. It features a section titled 'Cocktails' and a promotional area encouraging patrons to ask about liquor selections, with a small illustration of a person relaxing with a drink.

Food and service was great. Very cute place but extremely loud. Maybe it was because it was Saturday night. I will go back again.

I ordered the paloma and something that I think was called the Cherrywood sour.

The Flor De Fuego was smokeyy and spicy with a kick, while the El Mercado was perfect for my sweet-drink-loving heart. The space is small with limited seating, but a nice date night spot. The mezcal selection is amazing, which is really the whole point. It's the best way to try something new, with over 20 different agave spirits from all over Mexico. The staff is super knowledgeable and passionate, and they take the time to walk you through the differences in flavor, region, and even who made it. You can tell they really care about honoring the traditions and the people behind the spirits. Cocktails are thoughtful and seasonal, but I'd recommend trying at least one pour neat. The food is just as good, as you might have guessed by the menu next door. The thick cut tortilla chips are unbeatable, especially when paired with fresh guacamole and homemade salsa. Whether you're a mezcal nerd or just curious, La Mezca is one of the most unique and thoughtful drinking experiences in Austin. I'll definitely be back.

Great house music from the DJ, friendly staff, and an easygoing atmosphere that's perfect for hanging out. I was having a sober night and tried a few drinks from their Dry January Specials menu. Wow, they did not disappoint. The Alrighty Aphrodite was delicious, and the So Fresh, So Clean was exactly that, super refreshing with a great pineapple flavor. My husband had the Dusty Trail (strong and perfect for bourbon lovers) and a Coquito that was creamy and smooth with a hint of cinnamon. Parking is limited, but we found street parking nearby. Overall, great drinks, great music, and a spot I'll definitely keep coming back to.

Most mocktails with NA liquor have honestly tasted a bit weird and a bit off. I usually have one and call it a day. However, I really enjoyed the first one that I tried the second one, which I also liked. The bartenders work amazingly fast and take multiple drink orders at a time and don't miss a beat! There's street parking and during weekdays, it's free to park after a certain hour.

It's been around since 2018 so most folks know where it is by now. Heads up, you no longer have to use their app to make a reservation. Simply do so through Open Table and that's when you'll get the entry code. So glad it's no longer a members-only spot as well. The basement location gives anything but a basement vibe. When you enter, you'll see the infamous black paint on white walls mural but then you're transformed into something more. An elegant and elevated high-end speakeasy that transports you to what life in speakeasy settings must have felt like in the days of olde. It brings a feeling of noir and romance with even sexier drinks. Being seated in one of the nooks is my favorite and just really adds to the overall experience. If you follow my reviews then you know I often refer to excellent cocktails as liquid works of art. And, in this case, it's like the most exclusive, high-end art gallery of liquid masterpieces. Cocktails with branded cubes, top tier alcohol and other ingredients from around the globe make for a worthy piece of drinkable art. It doesn't end with cocktails! The mocktails are equally as beautiful and delicious. I highly recommend the cocktails and mocktails. Service is exactly what you would expect and want it to be in this environment. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than average but you're paying for art, atmosphere, and experience that is beyond wonderful.

We waited maybe 15 minutes at the walk-in line as others progressively started to pile on behind us. Then again, even people in the reservation line were waiting. This is definitely the kind of place that wants you to wait. The kind of place that wants to build a line outdoors to intrigue onlookers. We were treated nicely, but we definitely could have gotten in right away. By the time we walked in, the place was probably at 60% capacity. It was standing room only at the bar, but not overcrowded by any means. There is a dress code, but it's not entirely clear what it is. Some guy dressed to the 9s got turned away for not having sleeves whereas I got in with sneakers and a t-shirt. They ask for your cellphones upon entering and give you a key in exchange, but there doesn't seem to be any security to enforce it if you don't want to give them up. I have no problem with their policy, but I bet a lot of customers do. Interestingly, their little social experiment seemed to have a positive effect, where we ended up talking to strangers and vice versa. The Powder Room may be making America social again.
