Upon passing through the velvet curtains that opened up into a dark mysterious room that has several paintings and various decor and I really enjoyed the candles at the end of the bar that were extremely tall and had the lovely melting wax all over. This evening they had a dance lesson and the gentleman came over and spoke with us afterwards, so there were several people dancing to music when we arrived. At the bar ended up ordering El Desierto, calenda mezcal, hibiscus liqueur, guava, lime juice. No, I'm normally not a Mezcal type of lady however, this drink yeah absolutely phenomenal. I'm not sure what the rim was coded with. It was kind of salty kind of sweet. It really complimented the drink very well. The drink itself, however you couldn't even taste the Mezcal such a wonderful blend now they do serve tacos from Veracruz restaurant next-door. However we didn't have anything as we had just had dinner somewhere else. The restrooms were also very clean and tidy I enjoy the unique faucet handle that was a gear and turned versus having the normal handles. Just go look at it if you ever go. I would totally go back as they have the dance kind of short lessons on Wednesdays and they do a little dance social afterwards to brush up on a few dance steps, but also to try a few other things that are on their menu

At one point, I was coming here several days a week to watch games because I loved the vibes so much! I'm a big fan of their outdoor patio area, both in the shared Howdy's space and closer to The Long Goodbye side. The indoor bar is very intimate and would make for a lovely date night spot. They also have food options (there is a super popular taco truck in the outdoor area and they serve snacks at their indoor bar). I believe they do focaccia pizza slices on certain nights ans they are sooooo good! They also have a coffee truck for those who looking for cafinated options. The drinks here are fab! Ive tried all their spritzes, a few rotating frozens (if anyone who works here is reading this, please bring the banana colada), and couple of their world cup specific drinks. They have a decent happy hour. The funny thing is, I was initially going to watch that original soccer game somewhere else and it was so packed that we came here and I am so glad we did bc I discovered one of my favorite bars in Austin! Rosé Gosé (note accents) is in an unassuming Airport Blvd location (right next to Jewboy Burgers, an Austin favorite). It is run by a couple from Belarus that came here right after Covid to open up a restaurant, with a sister in Minsk. Defying expectations, the menu is not Balkan at all. If anything, there is a strong Asian influence with poke bowls and a lot of seafood. But the menu also offers beef tartare on their raw bar menu, as well as a steak offering and grilled chicken. It's a diverse and adventurous menu, all the way from small plates to hefty mains and vegetable sides. For the dessert, try the pavlova, a meringue confection stuffed with coconut mousse and topped with lime sorbet and a grapefruit slice sidecar. Everything is superbly presented, and unquestionably fresh and healthy without veering into twigs and berries territory. The cocktail menu is also playful, with a lot of nontraditional glassware and slight spins on popular drinks; their version of a Paloma uses prosecco instead of a splash of soda. The servers are all dressed in rosé jumpsuits and very attentive. The space is amiable and elegant without being pretentious. The table spacing is a little close, so that conversations carry between guests. The table setting has some nice touches, like the little wooden bench that holds your fork and knife off the table. In European fashion, water can be asked for but it won't be served with ice. Plan on taking your time and enjoying course after course.

Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! When we walked in an artist was playing romantic music on his keyboard, which set the tone for the brunch. It is a small restaurant inside with a larger area of seating on the patio. Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. I ordered a mimosa that had high quality ingredients and was perfectly balanced...so smooth. We were also pleased with the drinks. This was the first time at Rosé Gosé, however, it definitely will not be the last.

There's enough of a vibe for this place to feel lively even when it's mostly empty, yet it also avoids the earsplitting noise that may come with a more crowded venue. The bartenders are amicable, and the menu showcases some creative - and creatively named - cocktails. Lara went with a Moon Song (rum, blackberry, lime, and honey with lavender cold foam) and an espresso martini and enjoyed both. I opted for a zero proof drink: the high and mighty (agave, nonalcoholic ginger and floral liqueurs, jasmine tea, and spiced salt). It was refreshing but didn't quite hit the mark for me. What should have been complex and balanced came across as overly floral. All told, Marlow is worth a visit even if it is unlikely to wow you.

We also got the caviar service, and I really enjoyed that. Was not crazy about the blinis, I believe they were made with black corn flour. The crème fraîche was very nice. Very nice night out. Once we walked through Manny's, we were greeted right away and since we had a reservation, we were seated promptly. Quick heads up: cell phones aren't allowed inside -- they take your phone and give you a key to a locker where it's stored for the night. The idea is to keep everyone present and engaged with each other instead of their screens (they do make exceptions for emergencies or on-call situations, at the business's discretion). I actually love the reasoning behind it, even though I wished I had my phone to snap pictures of the inside! The space itself is dark and moody with major art deco Miami vibes, like something out of the 80s-90s. Think pink velvet draped everywhere, a life-size taxidermy leopard in the middle of the bar, and flamingo sculptures scattered throughout. It's gorgeous. There's plenty of seating between the booths/couches and the bar, and they seat you according to your party size. We got a plush half-circle booth with a table that fit all of us perfectly -- great sightlines too, so everyone could see and talk to each other easily. Each table gets an assigned server, and ours was fantastic. We ordered cocktails along with the yuca fries, empanadas, and quesadillas -- all delicious. I can't remember the name of my cocktail, but it was pink, gin-based, and so good, served in a beautiful tall stem glass. The guy at the front was very nice, but as soon as we get to the "receptionist" the entire narrative changed. She looked my girlfriend and I up and down and then proceeded to tap multiple times on her IPad. She then says, "you know it's 1:30? we close at 2. we only have standing room." She had the most miserable scowl on her face. My girlfriend and I were dressed very nicely (pants & jacket, and a dress), so I know this was not a outfit issue. I do not know what her issue was, but if you are tired and don't like staying up late, don't work in a bar. After saying that there was only standing room, I decided that I was not going to spend money in an establishment that speaks to people in such a disgusting way, so I proceeded to leave. One of the guys out front asked what was wrong and asked if he could buy us a drink, but at that point I decided that I would not spend a dime at this place. Just giving a heads up! Lady at the front is EXTREMELY rude. Looking at the other 1 star reviews, it looks like this place has a reputation for being discriminatory.
