I've visited holiday twice actually in the last week. This is both those visits together. Holiday has hopped on the girl dinner/adult happy meal trend (fine by me) with their Wednesday adult happy meal. It's a smashburger and fries with a choice of either a mini cosmo or a mini beer type cocktail for $15. What was good: The burger and fries were good, I like the price point, and this runs ALL night- not just happy hour. Very much appreciate that. What could be better: The bun is dry- not a lot of toppings on the smash burger and the concept of a 1.5 ounce drink is weird. Just make it a normal cocktail and charge $20. We also came on Sunday for the half priced martini day. This just can't be beat- especially because I had a total of 3 dirty martinis across those two visits and they were delicious every time. So paying $7 for a good martini is INSANE in this city. I ordered their normal double wagyu smash burger with fries for $21- definitely was bigger (and i dont just mean bc of two patties) and better dressed than the adult happy meal but those buns are just not it for me. I love the huge front and back patio, service was good. Will be back for both of these specials. read more

I loved Holiday so much that I went twice in one day lol. My friend and I walked in on a Thursday night and got seated inside. Before 6pm they do half off their frozen martini and fries. My friend got the frozen and fries so I tried some. The fries were AMAZING!! I will say for an $8 fry it better be good lol. The seasoning, texture, and the sauce were perfect. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and spiced appletini. The schnitzel was really good and big. It came with a gribiche (cold egg sauce) and small salad with anchovies which was unique and flavorful. The martini was delicious too. I hate a martini that's too sweet or too strong. This was perfect. Afterwards, my friend and I went somewhere else, and at the end of the night, we came back to Holiday for a night cap brewski. I ordered a Coors. This time we sat outside in the back patio and the weather was perfect. The atmosphere is beautiful and the workers felt hospitable. I haven't been here until I heard about the $15 happy meal deal they have on Wednesdays. This includes a burger, fries, and a mini martini! I'd say it's worth it if you don't mind searching for parking. On Wednesdays, there's a run club that meets next door at Cabana Club, as well as bachata night - so I recommend coming here before 5:30pm to have better luck with parking. read more

Holiday was my favorite bar of 2025. I was here probably once a week on average. The bartenders are some of the nicest you will find in all of Austin and they consistently make outstanding drinks. Everyone working here is attentive and quick to make sure you have your food and drinks. The most popular drink is the frozen Mexican Martini. They are delicious! The food is very good, and consistent too. I am a shrimp cocktail girly, my friends sometimes wonder if I'm a damn flamingo with all the shrimp I eat and Holiday serves them up perfectly. Other favorites are the bar nuts (sweet and lightly spicy), the marinated olives, the manchego, and I know my husband loves the burger. Came here for the frozen Mexican martini -- and it did not disappoint! I absolutely love this place. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and when the weather's nice, the outside area is definitely the place to be. The staff is friendly, attentive, and efficient, and they have a great happy hour Tuesday through Saturday from 5-6 p.m. with specials on drinks and apps. On Sundays, martinis are half-price -- yes, please! The food is tasty, the drinks are delicious, and the overall vibe is warm and welcoming. Plus, it's dog-friendly, which is always a huge bonus. Indoor and outdoor seating available, creating a large and varied space to find a spot for your adventure. A decent mocktail/non-alcoholic list is available for those who don't want to imbibe in the buzzy variety. These run $14 a pop while their boozy buddies reach upwards of $20/bevie. Fries and other bar bites are available, also all priced at $20+ a dish. It's all cute but truly difficult to justify the expense. read more

I came here for a Taylor Swift "The Life of a Showgirl" release party hosted by Morgan of Loud Tall Marketing. I had also volunteered earlier in the day to serve as unofficial event photographer, so was very excited by the whole opportunity/experience. I had never been to Holiday Bar before, but best believe I'll be back for dates and girl's nights out now that I've had a taste! Our event was located in the back patio, which wasn't obvious for newcomers after you enter the building. I only knew I was headed in the right direction after seeing the turquoise & orange balloons through the back door. The decor and seating was perfect - my server Lydia took care of me the whole evening and was also so attentive to her other tables. I got the mocktail, cavatelli, and later added the olive oil cake (despite not being listed on the event specific menu). I was getting peckish near the last part of the night and Lydia was happy to offer me something. I am very impressed with Holiday on 7th! I first tried their bites in the VIP section of Austin Food and Wine Fest. The carrot croquette was incredible! I then went to try more of their apps at Flourish wine bar's special happy hour event. I tried their rosemary pecans, truffle deviled eggs, and smoked trout dip with fried crackers all paired with wines from the Flourish wine list. Every bite was so good and paired amazing with the wines selected. My fiance and I finally made it in to the restaurant for late night bites and loved our experience. I had a dirty martini and Scott had the coquito from the Christmas menu. We seated ourselves, but service was prompt. I ordered the truffled deviled eggs again (3 halves in an order) and the carrot croquettes (3 in an order). My guest ordered the wagyu burger with fries. We really loved every bite and sip. 10/10 local restaurant. I just learned they have half off martinis on Sundays so I will definitely be back for that soon! Update to my draft- we took my parents while in town for New Years Eve and we all LOVED everything! I tried the ricotta cavatelli in a pumpkin seed pesto and wowowow so good. You know, I have been here a handful of times and never realized I never wrote a review. I must have been having way too much fun. It's just crazy because this is literally one of my favorite places. But, I digress. I absolutely love the layout and overall design of the space. The polished concrete floors make the design aesthetic pop with the use of mixed materials like wood, metal, and soft accents with throw pillows and cushioned seats. They make an insanely delicious frozen Mexican margarita and I could probably sip them all day long. Like many places, they also offer no-spirit, n/a mocktails. More often than not, this is the route I like to choose. They blow mocktails out of the water, folks! Garden of Eden and Jungle Cat are my favorite mocktails. The food is incredible. Here are the items at the top of my list: olive oil cake (holy poo!), ricotta cavatelli, and the cheeseburger. WOAH! They offer snacks, too, that are equally as yummy. The service is just beyond. Lychee martini is my favorite - I could drink 5 The zucchini fritters were perfect, the sauce they come with pairs so well and the fritters have a great crunch. I ordered the cavatelli pasta with pesto - truly one of my favorite pastas lately! The pasta itself is amazing, but the pesto id also one of my favorites. My husband got the smash burger and said it was one of his favorites as well and we've tried a couple around town! We finished with the olive oil cake - a must order!! Cane is perfectly cooked and the nuts and cream on the side pair amazingly. Service was quick, food came out in less than 30 minutes for everything besides dessert of course. I went here with a friend and we had so much fun! We shared french fries along with the risotto and got the olive oil cake at the end. You absolutely absolutely must get the olive oil cake if you go here!! Honestly part of me feels like I should just go there right now and get the olive oil cake again because it is so so so good. It's sweet, but then there's also some salt which works so well with the sweetness. On top of it there is fluffy whipped cream that made it so perfect! Of course, the rest of the food was also great. The buttermilk aïoli tasted so good with the french fries. The risotto was also super unique. I loved the hazelnuts with it. Their drinks were also really good as well. The place was full on a Friday night and service was still very efficient. My friend and I had an enjoyable time! We had a mocktail night and I'm super happy we chose Holiday because the Non Alcoholic (Spirit Free) options were still very sophisticated and classy, not just ginger beer and juice! They had a special for their drink Root Cause which has Mezcal, lemon, blanco tequila, ginger, beets. I ordered the mocktail version of it although it's not listed on the menu. It was one of the best mocktails I've had and I'm sure the cocktail is even better. The food menu is very curated with limited options. I ordered the baguette and butter ($8) and added on the Spanish anchovies and salsa verde and it was delicious! Love the mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Another wonderful night at Holiday! I brought my boyfriend last night, as he has never had the chance to check it out. Parking was a little hard to come by, as the lot is quite small, so we had to find parking on a side street. This didn't take too long, though, so no complaints! Street parking (and the Holiday lot) is free. Since it was such a wonderful night, we sat outside. Service was quick, and as soon as we sat ourselves, our server greeted us and took our drink order. I wouldn't lie but I've been here 5 times already. Yes it's that good! The interior is super cute and clean. The space is very beautiful especially when the light comes in. A ton of outdoor seating! You come right in, and find a seat and someone will come take your order! The drinks: You can't not come here without getting the frozen Mexican martini! It's in a cute cactus cup, and is perfectly refreshing especially during a hot Texas night! Other favorites are the strawberry switchblade and heart like a wheel! Their drinks are all incredible and unique!! Do not sleep on the food here. I swear I haven't found another place that does food just as well as drinks and this place does it! Every single time I come I always get the Spanish anchovies and butter! all the components of the dish come together so well, and I absolutely love the tang you get from the preserved lemon salsa verde, and they use high quality olive oil too!! The chicken liver mousse is incredible too. You must order the ricotta cavatelli. It is life changing, and is honestly some of the best pasta I've had (and I've been to Italy.) Short food menu, but the food looks good (didn't try it other than the fries) but we saw some tables order nearby and it looked tasty! This has been on my list of places to try and I was excited to finally make time to meet up with friends who also would be experiencing it for the first time. We chose to meet Tuesday at 6 pm thinking it wouldn't be packed, but let me assure you that place was poppin'. The parking along 7th was full, so when I turned onto Shady Lane it was tough to tell if a spot was indeed a spot and I made the decision to just find street parking outside of Hi Sign.  We all know it's been 100° lately (but feels like 104-110°), so when I walked into the restaurant I was expecting some level of chilled respite, and the longer I sat and chatted, the more I realized their AC is busted. Either someone is keeping it at 80 to save on the electric bill, or maybe the two holes at the top of the wall just left of the front door are letting the precious air conditioning escape. In either case, sweating indoors with little airflow wasn't cutting it for the three of us, and in between sips of cocktails and snacking on the apps, we had to plot where to eat indoors nearby. I will say that the things we did order were excellent. I had several friends recommend I get the zucchini fritters and the cashew onion dip & chips. They and the many others who have mentioned them in reviews here are not wrong. The other highly recommended menu item was the olive oil cake, but I think I'll save trying that for when I can return on my own and maybe snag bar seating.  I really wanted to try the pork schnitzel as well, but the discomfort of being in that heat makes me think it would be better to return once the weather outside is a little easier on us all. read more

This was a really cute and solid spot. My standouts were the Virgo's Grove cocktail and the olive oil cake. Also really loved the cashew onion dip! The zucchini fritters were good, although I wish there was more zucchini flavor and less starch, the anchovies were interesting to try, and the mussels - the beans and sauce were great, but I think we had a lot of bad mussels. For some reason on the day we went, the interior had an awful smell (like a bathroom... in retrospect, wondered if it was the mussels?) so we opted for outside seating even though it was pretty hot. Fortunately, there are fans and misters around to help with that. They also put a spinner on the table to help keep away flies. I think the outdoor would be a great spot in the cooler weather. read more

Holiday on 7th has been everywhere on my social media, and I finally went yesterday! Wow, it's such a beautiful cocktail bar. The interior design is gorgeous, and all of the furniture is so beautiful. I especially love Holiday because it gets so much sunlight. No matter where you sit, you'll get a really nice stream of sunlight coming in to brighten up the space. Our waitress was so sweet and kept coming around to check in on us. My friend and I LOVED Holiday and definitely would come back. She got a mocktail and thought it was super delicious. The waitress told us that it was the bartender's own creation. I got a rum cocktail that was tropical but not overly tropical and had a really nice balance of savory and sweet. I thought it was a well executed drink. We also ordered some food: - zucchini fritters: I honestly expected to like these more, but it was a bit bland. The texture of the crispy outer skin and soft and chewy inside was nice. The roe also added a nice salty touch. - chips and aioli: my favorite thing here! Their potato chips are made in house and the chives are excellent - bread and anchovies? I'm not a fan of fishy fish, so I honestly hated the anchovies. However, my friend really enjoyed it. I just munched on the bread and butter, which were yummy. I do think they're lacking a bit in terms of food because there weren't any stand-out options. Perhaps adding some more dips and even some small plates of pasta or oysters would be lovely. I wouldn't come back for the food because I think it was just okay, but my cocktail was so lovely and I'm sure the other drinks are just as good. The ambience truly can't be beat. It's by far one of the prettiest bars I've ever been to in Austin. Parking is difficult even 30 minutes after they open, so be prepared to street park once the parking lot fills up. read more

I've been wanting to check out Holiday on 7th for a while! It definitely met my expectations. They were having a small vendor market and live music while was great for a casual Sunday. The servers were very attentive, made sure our water bottle was always full, and gave great recommendations. The fries had a great crisp but there was a new flavor for me, possibly the tarragon, that wasn't something I'm personally a fan of. I absolutely love fries paired with an aioli but I think a truffle or garlic aioli would have been a better fit. The fries were a great snack to share and pair with a light drink. The lychee martini was delicious!! It was a great refreshing flavor without a strong liquor taste. I would certainly return for this drink. The glass it was served in was gorgeous as well which, in my opinion, made it taste even better. read more

This place is so unique and cute and I love the location. It has that very chic vibe. I felt that everybody that walked in was so classy, looking and styled up really nicely. The food was great. We got a burger to share and OMG was it delicious. we also got the shrimp cocktail which was really nice The shrimp tasted really fresh and large. We also got the oil cake which is really nice. I went to Holiday on a Friday night around 8:30pm. The bar has lots of seating both inside and outside; it wasn't toooo busy so we were able to find a spot for me and 3 friends. We had three different servers throughout our night, and they were all attentive and checked in on us at good intervals. For drinks, I tried the Modern Romance, the Lychee Tini, the Apple Tini, and my table had shared The Snail. My favorite was definitely Modern Romance, and my least favorite was the Apple Tini - it was kind of like you liquified a jolly rancher and was just too sweet and a little sour for me. For food we had gotten the french fries and cashew onion dip to share, and the dips for both were really good. Overall I think Holiday is a great cocktail bar and is a perfect spot to hang out. read more
