Went during October to check out their decorations and it was definitely a fun ambiance! Got their themed cocktails and some food that was all really good but definitely a little overpriced. But it's on 6th so that was to be expected. Not crowded at all and quick service at 7 pm before the night rush.

If you're wandering around East Austin and looking for that perfect mix of chill patio vibes, strong drinks, and a little bit of grit, Lefty's Brick Bar is it. The space itself feels like someone mashed up a cozy dive bar with a backyard hangout -- brick walls, string lights, and an atmosphere that's both unpretentious and inviting. It's the kind of place where you can show up in flip flops or boots and no one bats an eye. The cocktails? Surprisingly solid for a bar that doesn't take itself too seriously. The margaritas come out fast and strong, and they've got frozen options that hit perfectly on a hot Austin night. Beers are cheap, the pours are generous, and the staff keeps the vibe friendly even when it's packed. Food-wise, it's not fussy -- think bar bites that keep you drinking longer. Perfect for sharing if you're posted up outside with friends. Overall: Lefty's Brick Bar feels like Austin before Austin got too shiny. No frills, all fun, and exactly the kind of place you'll want to stumble back into on a Friday night. Ask for Noah!

This review is solely based on vibes and cocktails. We visited a couple times this winter. The Christmas pop up bar was my favorite visit. The bar was chock full of decorations and holiday cocktails. We ordered several from the menu and they were all tasty and came in cute glasses. I'm glad they didn't skimp on the alcohol or aesthetic because they were very busy. The bar in the front was way busier than the bar in the back upstairs. The upstairs was also covered with a tent because it was rainy and cool. We really enjoyed our time here and got some fun pictures! There is ample seating for groups.

Frozen margaritas are great. Alcohol is present and the taste is great. $2 off for happy hour, so take it or leave it. 4-6.

Lefty's is amazinggg for Halloween and they always go all out! Checked out their "shop of horrors" theme this year for Halloween and wasn't disappointed. They had a great drink menu (NA options too!), that tied in well to the theme. They also had some food options here, but recommend the drinks more. We tried a variety, from their version of an espresso martini and even their brat-themed cocktail. Old fashioned was okay, it was too sweet for my liking. They have a lot of seating (bar included), and an outdoor patio out back. Great for hanging with friends. Bartenders were super nice, and answered our questions about the drinks on the menu.

I really enjoy this bar in October because they deck out with spooky decorations. The music is great and the people that go there are fun. For October they have fun cocktails and I was finally able to try the blood bag one. It was ok. Overly sweet for me but the concept is what made it fun. Theres seating tables and an upstairs area i had never been to before. The only bad thing i will say is they need to get more bartenders because it was packed and took forever to get a drink.

Lefty's decorates for Halloween every year and it's always on the list of must-see bars during the holiday season! The drinks are good and the staff are friendly!

Came by Halloween weekend - it was decorated, people were dressed up, and there were Halloween themed cocktails. Most of them had some kind of acid which gives me gastritis, but I tried one that looked less acidic. It came in a cool skull glass and looked nice, but it my friend and I couldn't finish our drinks as there was so much acid/lime and was unbalanced.

Came to Lefty's to check out their Halloween decorations this year. I feel like it was really on point last year compared to this year. But still pretty outstanding. Didn't want to look like a tourist snapping a bunch of pictures. I just took a couple. Everyone was really nice that I spoken to. Drink was good. Didn't stay long cause we were just going from one bar to the next that was decorated. Good job Lefty's. Looked pretty good.

We really enjoyed stopping by Lefty's for their holiday decor recently. Christmas decor was awesome and great drink list-loved the vegan nog. It's very crowded and a young crowd (everyone looked 25 or under) even when we went around 5 pm. I thought it was very fun and recommend checking it out for the holidays!

Great place to spend the Halloween season. It was my first time here but they decorate for every Halloween. Plenty of outdoor patio seating.

I recently wandered into Lefty's Brick Bar, and what a spine-tingling experience it was! From the moment I stepped onto the patio, I felt the enchanting chill of Halloween in the air. The ambiance was decked out with flickering lights and cobwebs that set the perfect spooky scene. But the real star of the night? The Super Big Pizza! It arrived at my table like a monstrous apparition--larger than life and steaming with ghostly allure. Topped with an array of hauntingly delicious ingredients, each slice was a delightful mix of flavors that left me howling for more. I swear I heard the pizza calling my name as it emerged from the kitchen! As I savored each bite, I couldn't help but glance around, half-expecting to see some friendly spirits joining in on the fun. The staff, dressed in their Halloween finest, added to the festive atmosphere. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a monstrous pizza and chilling cocktails such as Morgue-arita 14 Blanco tequila, lime, coconut water, or the Pennywise painkiller 14 rum, pineapple, orange, coconut, nutmeg, Lefty's Brick Bar is the spot! Just be prepared for some ghostly encounters while you're there--because with vibes this good, you might just feel the presence of some spirited patrons from the past! Brilliant Dining and BOO!

We popped in here while in the area as we were a bit early for a private event at Lazarus down the street. I'm so glad we did because I really loved this spot. It was all decorated for Halloween, with tons of creepy decor absolutely everywhere! I ordered a frozen painkiller and Nate got a canned beer. The painkiller was delicious and perfectly frozen - Austin knows how to make a great frozen cocktail. We had fun people and dog watching and chatting with some other folks at the bar. The bartenders were great, and overall I just felt like this place was super fun and cool. I appreciated that it wasn't super packed yet as I would imagine they get pretty busy on weekends and later at night. I see now they have some delicious sounding food, including cacio e pepe pizza, which I would LOVE to try. I'm bummed we didn't get any food, but that just gives us a reason to come back in the future.

Please note that Sa-Tén is in an industrial-style complex and can be easily missed. The anchor point is a large green Canopy sign. After circling a few times, my friend and I started to meet at Stargazer instead for coffee. After having coffee at Stargazer, we decided to grab breakfast "to-go" at Sa-Tén as my Art contest start time was nearing. It is literally diagonally across the street from Stargazer. Sa-Tén means "coffee lounge" or "café" in Japanese. It traditionally refers to a relaxed neighborhood coffee shop...a place meant to be a welcoming community space. The coffee shop is small with wraparound glass windows emitting an abundance of light. Sa-Tén's interior is unassuming...really non-distinct. My friend ordered the last salmon toast, however, since she had previously tried it, she allowed me to have the last one. Such a thoughtful and kind friend...she ordered the bacon, egg and cheese toast instead. Let me just say this salmon toast was the bomb diggity. Our server described this breakfast item as salmon on white toast...what a major understatement! Our toast was even larger than Texas toast with a brioche taste and perfectly toasted. Quite honestly, I could have just eaten the toast all by itself. The salmon and cheese enhanced the taste. What a spectacular discovery! My friend was pleased with her selection as well. I will seek out Sa Tén when I'm on the East Side again.

I came here also because I had a deal from the AACHI fundraiser they are doing this month. Ordered the Spicy Salmon toast and the Egg, Bacon, and Sausage toast. Both were amazing and had tons of flavor. The bread is soft and fluffy. I also got a plate with Chicken Kara-age. Not too bad, I personally would stick to the Katsu. The Chicken Kara-age was not as crispy as I would like it. Also got royal milk tea, which was lightly sweetened. This place does get packed, so if you like to try this place, avoid the right before noon crowd or go early morning or later in the afternoon. The restaurant itself is small, but they do have some outdoor tables as well. The hard part about sitting outside is if you order drinks, I don't know if you can hear your name being yelled out while you are outside, so I would suggest having someone inside to grab your drink if you order any or check inside after a while to see if your drinks are ready.

To begin, parking around here can be very difficult if you don't know where to look as there are multiple lots to choose from, although the seemingly nearest is always taken up by cars. There was no wait on a Saturday afternoon. Once you're in, Bambino's is a calm and friendly environment to grab a bite at, featuring simple (and different) slices and sandwiches. You feel pretty welcome and at home in a nice layout with many tables and a bar top right across. The menu is diverse but one thing that sticks out right off the bat is the price. $4.50 for a plain slice? $22 for a footlong sub? Not to mention they tack on an automatic 20% service charge to every bill, which to their credit was mentioned about 3-4 times by the waitress. By the end of eating a $5 pepperoni slice we somehow paid nearly $7. Was it worth it? No. The pizza is decent, nowhere near worth the cost though. The dough is a bit too doughy and the cheese and sauce are alright. The slice is bigger than an average one so we can appreciate that. The best part was the pepperoni mixing in some nice little zip into the mix. For what it's worth, Bambino's is not bad, by any means of that word. However, for what they charge out of a slice in Austin, Texas of all places, you'd expect it to pack a lot more of a punch. Maybe the other food justifies the price, but after spending damn near $7 for one, we think it'll be a while before we give it another shot.

While the pizza was good, and the atmosphere was alright, the service left us somewhat perturbed. We got the Uncle Frankie and the Tracksuit pizzas. These pizzas were a whopping $30 each (after mandatory fee). We liked them, and two people who were not too hungry could share one. My friend was searching for a pizza option with chicken as she cannot eat red meat, and she was unable to find one. They also have an automatic 20% gratuity that is not included in the prices. It looks like the business owner is very defensive about this, so I don't want to engage, but it is very strange. The server came to our table, took our orders, then he came back for our cards. We thought he was making us open a tab, even though we didn't get any drinks, but turns out that was actually the payment. Before this, I had never been charged before receiving my food at a sit-down restaurant where they come to you to take your order. We were quite baffled by this as it's something you would see in movies or in the news where servers do that to discriminate again others because they think they may leave without paying. We did not see this as a policy on the menu, so we were shocked.

The sound and TVs were all pretty great for watching the game, and they had a ton of space. It was nice having the fake grass and picnic tables in the outdoor areas because it really added to the vibe while still being well shaded throughout. The food was good. During the game we shared the Fried Pickles, which were crispy and well breaded with good pickle chips, as well as their Green Chili Queso, which was also excellent. The chips had good seasoning and the queso was thick. For a main entrée, I ordered the patty melt. It was melty with good flavor, but I would have preferred chopped onions over sliced onions. The Sriracha mayo was great and added a kick I was not expecting. The drinks were decently priced for East 6th all things considered. I was not drinking that night and ordered a mocktail variation of their Lavender Haze using zero proof Empress gin instead of the regular Empress gin.
