Literally one of my freaking favorite spots to go to for lunch since I work nearby, I always get the fried chicken Caesar wrap and it's soooooo freaking good. It's super crunchy but juicy on the inside and the dressing is lemony and delicious and plentiful. U know it's a good wrap when you don't need to ask for extra dressing tbh. The service is super quick and the people are really nice. I also like that it's half inside half outside so you can kinda decide what vibe you want. i ordered the cesar wrap and the fries. cesar wrap was poorly wrapped (fell apart in the hand), poorly packed (contents were loose), and contained very little chicken. it was pretty bland. the cesar dressing was served in the side instead of mixed into the wrap which made it dry and bland. the fries were seasoned too generously, i couldn't stomach more than a couple without grimacing from all the salt. overall a disappointing meal. i would expect more given the high standards and pleasant experiences i have with the attached hotel. i liked this place better when it lefty's brick bar. read more

Asked for a Hugo spritz since it's HOT AF & not feeling an aperol drink. It was an uphill battle for the bartender. literally everything in the drink (Elderflower liqueur, prosecco, club soda) she said they didn't have. Everything was right there - prosecco right behind her (bc they literally make an aperol spritzes), St Germaine, you name it. Previously visited for holiday drinks and decided to give the food a try! Ordered online and took less than 15 mins! There is a parking garage right next door or street parking. Opted to use the garage ($3 for every 20 mins) instead of circling around. The harvest bowl ($10) is really a Kale salad. Was expecting the sweet potatoes to be the base instead of a topping. I'm neutral when it comes to kale and was expecting more potato, but this was really good and enjoyed it! Moving onto the $7 latte. Okay so no I did not take a picture or if I did I must have deleted it. I was soooo excited about the hype of a great wrap!! Trying something trendy I thought would be fun. Well first walked in it looked like it was about to be cool they were having a DJ outside and hosting some event. Well walked up to the bar first the bartender ignored us! Like both of them not just one. No one besides us at the bar ready to order. Then one of them finally came over did she not help you we said no she rolled her eyes then decided to help us. I got the wrap and 2 beers and last minute asked to add an order of fried. Well the wrap came out and I must have got the end of the chicken. It was hard and I had to pull it out of my mouth because there was no biting through it. The taste and the tortilla lettuce and dressing were great. Well then I was waiting forever for my fries. The girl forgot to ring them in! I did keep my tab open so had no gotten the receipt but it really was not busy because the party had not started and they were still setting up and doing sound check. NO ONE WAS THERE. Well when I went up there to say they forgot my fries she looked at me and said I did not order it. Which is fine but instead could have said OMG i must have not heard you let me get that to you. I was not looking for free food just wanted fried because I could not eat the wrap and was scared to order anything else. This review is solely based on vibes and cocktails. We visited a couple times this winter. The Christmas pop up bar was my favorite visit. The bar was chock full of decorations and holiday cocktails. We ordered several from the menu and they were all tasty and came in cute glasses. I'm glad they didn't skimp on the alcohol or aesthetic because they were very busy. The bar in the front was way busier than the bar in the back upstairs. The upstairs was also covered with a tent because it was rainy and cool. Lefty's is amazinggg for Halloween and they always go all out! Checked out their "shop of horrors" theme this year for Halloween and wasn't disappointed. They had a great drink menu (NA options too!), that tied in well to the theme. They also had some food options here, but recommend the drinks more. We tried a variety, from their version of an espresso martini and even their brat-themed cocktail. Old fashioned was okay, it was too sweet for my liking. They have a lot of seating (bar included), and an outdoor patio out back. Great for hanging with friends. I really enjoy this bar in October because they deck out with spooky decorations. The music is great and the people that go there are fun. For October they have fun cocktails and I was finally able to try the blood bag one. It was ok. Overly sweet for me but the concept is what made it fun. Most of them had some kind of acid which gives me gastritis, but I tried one that looked less acidic. We popped in here while in the area as we were a bit early for a private event at Lazarus down the street. I'm so glad we did because I really loved this spot. It was all decorated for Halloween, with tons of creepy decor absolutely everywhere! I ordered a frozen painkiller and Nate got a canned beer. The painkiller was delicious and perfectly frozen - Austin knows how to make a great frozen cocktail. We had fun people and dog watching and chatting with some other folks at the bar. The bartenders were great, and overall I just felt like this place was super fun and cool. I appreciated that it wasn't super packed yet as I would imagine they get pretty busy on weekends and later at night. I see now they have some delicious sounding food, including cacio e pepe pizza, which I would LOVE to try. We had not yet gotten to Lefty's Christmas time so we headed out this year. We have been to Lala's and Miracle on 5th Street and wanted to check this one out. They go out all on the décor, there is Christmas themed stuff EVERYWHERE. From all sorts of Santa's and Christmas trees with presents to themed drinks. Even outside they have a wacky waving inflatable Santa and giant Christmas lights. Inside are tree ornaments hanging from the ceiling, lots of inflatables and pictures. There is a Santa throne and a mailbox for Santa letters. They do an amazing job with this. The bar is right there as you enter, lots of seating to the right of the bar and a smaller area to the left. 100% on the effort. We arrived not long after it had opened for the day, so early afternoon and there were already several people there. They had a small but growing line at the bar and the gentleman behind the bar was working hard but they only had one guy. My wife did walk around a bit while I waited in line to see the other decorations and when she came back the man said there was a bar upstairs. She hadn't seen any stairs so we went hunting as the bar line here wasn't moving much. We did find them and upstairs had lots more décor and seating. No one in line up here and the bartender was mostly friendly, she was glad people found the upstairs bar as most people don't realize there was a bar upstairs she said. Now a few things that were an issue. When we were searching for the stairs we did see they had a table with a water dispenser and cups on it. Upstairs they didn't have that, we saw a table that looked like it was the place for water but it was empty. The upstairs bar doesn't have water for sale, not sure about downstairs and no dispenser for water or soda's. So also no mixed drinks besides what they have on the menu. To be fair they did say this is because everything is fresh which is a great selling point but it is Texas, have water in some form, to sell or like they had downstairs. Seems more then reasonable. They did have bathrooms upstairs which was nice. The drinks are well made and strong but it is pricey so be prepared. We had one drink a piece and our tab was over $40. This included tip but still close to $30 without the tip. The bartender did seem to get annoyed at the questions people were asking but the downstairs guys where we go a shot as we were leaving were cool. Overall glad we came, may not return due to price and limited water and mixed drink options if they are not ones listed, no basics like jack and coke or Makers and 7. Still going at least once is worth it for the effort put in to the décor and the themed drinks. read more

Really cool bar located in East Austin! I have come here a few times over the years, but they are changing things up and have some really great food options. I tried the cheeseburger. I am not sure if it's always been on the menu, but it was incredible. Would definitely come back again for just this. We also had a mixture of different drinks from cocktails to beers and all were great. The margarita was not sugary and done very well. It took them about 15 minutes to let me know the pizza I wanted wasn't available (they ran out of something). I ended up with the meat lovers, which was good, just a tad salty. This spot has a spacious outdoor area and semi private sections that can accommodate just about any guests' preferences. The servers were very nice and the drinks were delicious. We went here a few days ago because we had heard they decorated for Halloween. Honestly I had never even heard of it before. I am definitely glad we went. It was a chill bar with a lot of open space in the back. The Halloween decorations were cute. There were areas where you could take fun Halloween pictures. The drinks were themed which is a great idea for Halloween. Also the food was good, I got a cheese pizza and also some fries. Our friends got some fried pickles I think. They were really good. Service was nice but the line was a little long. They did have vegetarian options which was cool. All in all, I would totally come here again. Came across this fine establishment on whim. Was walking with my husband & dog when I thought I'd top my beautiful Saturday afternoon popping in at a local watering hole. I hit the jackpot with a Picklelada: Best Maid Pickle Beer & their house-made michelada mix. If you aren't into beer or pickles this ain't the one for you. For my beer & pickle lovers it gets better.. the salted rim is made up of ranch seasoning of some sort, the flavors all mix in oh so nicely. Very cool & casual, open air bar concept & dog friendly. This place is the epitome of a badass East Side bar. The staff is laid back, the space is awesome, the fellow customers are friendly and cool, and just like the sign outside claims, they really do have the strongest frozen Margaritas in town. This was truly one of the best afternoons we've had in a while. We saw so many people reuniting and that they serve some delicious pizza were all incredible. This place recently has gone all out with their holiday theming first for Halloween and then Christmas. The Brick bar is right next to the Arrive Hotel. There's a little alleyway between this building and the next that has a parking garage that you can opt to pay if you want to park right next to the bar or you can find street parking. The bar mostly feels like a converted garage with a secret but known upstairs outdoor gin lounge. There are plenty of seating options as well. I got the frozen painkiller which is one of the drinks they are known for. My partner got their frozen margarita which they advertise as being one of the strongest. We also got a whole pizza. The pizza was pretty tasty for bar standards. As I wanted to get the mug to take home I got doubles on the frozen for about 24$. They have singles of the frozen for about $12-14. We came here on a Sunday afternoon so it was very chill and most everyone was just hanging out or starting their Sunday funday here. read more
