I always get fantastic service at East End! Everyone has been very friendly. It is my gf and I's new go-to spot on Wednesdays for their happy meal. Which is a fantastic deal! The burger is delicious and only $5. The tini martinis/cocktails are also only $5. My gf and I get a burger each and split the fries. Everything comes out fresh and delicious. I also love the DESIGNATED PARKING AREA. And you don't have to pay (rare to find in downtown Austin). The decor inside is very chic and moody but also inviting. You wouldn't know that they have multiple tvs behind the curtains. It's gonna be our new spot to watch football. This was such a great find and I look forward to becoming a regular! read more

I honestly think this is the place that will be replacing The Belmont, which is closing. 6th Street is so 10 years ago. East Austin is the place to go out these days. Especially this particular neighborhood. Similar vibe but much cooler and the food might even be better!! I've been here for various events and today I went to their Saturday daytime Spring Fling dance music event which featured the great Dirtybird dj/Producer J.Phlip. I was dancing hard and am very excited about this new free weekly event!!! They have a great speciality drink menu (which is expensive) and a very small menu of average price beers. But they have happy hours and daily specials early in the day worth checking out. The atmosphere is funky and the stage is outside but the inside is very nice. read more

I went to East End Ballroom with my wife for the first time and we absolutely loved the experience. First, we went on a Wednesday night and they offered $5 burgers and $5 Old Fashioneds. The deal was fantastic and the food was delicious. Secondly, as a sports fan, I appreciate all of the TVs to watch games. Third, they offer live music. The artists were amazing and the music set great vibes. Fourth, the service was great and the staff were friendly. Lastly, I enjoyed the ambiance and setup of the establishment. It's a spacious venue with indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a pool table. Overall, it was a great experience and we plan to return again soon. read more

I was disappointed and confused by my date night here. I could not tell what the identity of this place was because for 1. They had a prix fixe valentines menu and luxurious and moody decor with drapes covering the walls but then I turn my head and the Olympics are playing. 2. There are multiple BRIGHT TVs on at 7:30 playing the Olympics inside the moody draped dining room during valentines dinner "rush." 3. The music was SO loud that i couldn't hear the person sitting across from me 4. Aside from the designated eating areas there was outdoor seating with curling set ups almost like corn hole and a pool table right next to the eating area. If this place didn't want to cater to the Valentines dinner crowd they shouldn't have. It seemed like they wanted to cater to any and everyone being the romantic diners, singles at a dive bar, people looking to watch the Olympics and it left me confused and disappointed. If they are trying to be a relaxed cocktail bar with a revolving menu then BE that and it is on me for choosing to spend my valentines here. The evening just did not make any sense. read more

East End Ballroom - Vibey rotating menu but I came for steak frites and they were not having that - Wine Bars Near Me - Austin, Texas

Lively spot on a Saturday night! They've got a full food menu. I tried the Artesian ranch steak frites, watermelon salad, fried olives, and market pasta. The salad could use more flavoring but the pasta and fried olives were solid. We also ordered (almost) the entire drink menu -- the Arlene (frozen), the green drink (tequila), the East End Cooler (watermelon vodka), and the Fitz Spritz. All were fun and tasty, but my friend's espresso martini was weirdly salty (definitely skip that one). After 10 PM, a DJ came out and the place started to get popping. Great vibes, good drinks, and an easy spot to keep the night going! read more

The pros: great location close to other bars and restaurants. Clean bathrooms, several seating options (booths, tables, and barstools inside, as well as large picnic tables outside), a pool table inside, and live music outside. Also a private parking lot onsite, making it easy to park and just walk right in. The cons: SO loud. Live music outside and loud music from speakers inside, but the whole place is open so the noise competes constantly. Lots of ants outside, as well. The table we were at had hundreds crawling around underneath it. In general, it was a cool experience, but I think a few things need to be improved. It definitely is a cool spot, though! read more

Went to the East End Ballroom after a run based on a recommendation. It is a dynamic new bar, restaurant, cafe and live music venue. The inside is very swanky with a bar area and large dining area. They have the largest booths I have ever seen. The dining area is adorned with mauve velvet curtains. They have a large TV that they were broadcasting sporting events. They also have an upstairs area where they can host events. We sat in the dining area in one of the most enormous booths ever! The service was very welcoming and friendly. They had a vendor on site giving free samples of a tequila sourced from cactus and we tried a shot. I ordered the white peach Bellini with for my brunch cocktail. I also tried the breakfast sandwich with brioche, fried egg, thick cut maple bacon and Gruyère cheese. The egg was cooked over easy and the yoke breaks on the sandwich. The bacon was especially tasty with a rich hickory flavor. I really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich but felt like it could have used a side. The reason I am removing a star is because we experienced several issues with our meal including: *Order was incorrect - The grain bowl ordered with steak but came out with avocado. *Missing ingredients - The grain bowl did not include the amaranth even though it was not removed from the menu. *Slow food preparation - The food took a very long time maybe due to the large event they were hosting upstairs. *Price Discrepancy - The white beach Bellini showed as $11 on my bill and $8 on the menu. (The server did comp the drink when I brought this to his attention.) This venue has a lot of weekly programming event on the website including a martini happy hour, live music and artisan market. It has a lovely outdoor space with a trellis and lots of plants. Was glad to try out a new spot in East Austin. read more

We chose East End Ballroom because it was within walking distance from cabana Club, where we joined in a 3-mile run. We were very hungry! The atmosphere is very luxurious, with velvet curtains, large marble tables, and fine wooden furniture. To me, it felt a little too fancy for breakfast. It was a little pricey, but I guess in line with other Austin restaurants. I ordered the Grain Bowl: Two poached eggs, wild rice, sweet potato, kale, tahini, pickled shallots, amaranth. $13. It sounded really tasty...and healthy. You could add chicken for $6 or Steak for $8. I skipped the add-ons, because the two eggs provided enough protein. It took a while for the food to come; I imagined it was because we got there right at 10:00am, their opening time. The server kept coming to our table to check on us to see if everything was all right. The bowl seemed a little skimpy, but it looked beautiful and was very good. The two poached eggs blended well with the wild rice, sweet potato, kale, pickled shallots, and amaranth. I noticed that it didn't contain tahini, as listed on the menu. Tahini would have made the bowl more hearty, given it additional flavor and would have made it more filling. (I was still a little hungry after eating.) I inquired about the omission. The server went back and asked the chef. He said they removed it from the offering but haven't updated the menu yet. They could have mentioned that after I ordered it; maybe they thought I wouldn't notice. My friend also ordered the Grain Bowl with steak. It came without steak but with Avocado. She was okay with the mistake, as long as she wasn't charged an additional $8. My other friend ordered a Peach Bellini, listed on the menu for $9. She was charged $11 and mentioned the discrepancy. The server removed the charge completely because he didn't know how to change the price on the app. He was gracious about the mistakes. My sense is that they're a new restaurant and are working out the kinks. At any rate, it's a beautiful and spacious place. The tables are too large for an intimate experience but it felt grandiose. It would be fun to go back in the evening for their live music events. As we walked out, we noticed the lush plants. read more

Thursday night steak night at East End Ballroom is a standout. This upscale sports bar knows how to do steak the right way. It's perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and far better than what you'd expect from a casual game-day spot. Do not skip pairing the steak with a bowl of sticky rice. The combination works surprisingly well and takes the meal to the next level. The service is impeccable--attentive, friendly, and right on point without being overbearing. With plenty of TVs, great cocktails, and a fun but polished atmosphere, it's easy to enjoy a great meal while catching a game. If you're looking for a reliable Thursday night dinner in a lively, elevated sports bar setting, East End Ballroom's steak night is worth the visit. One word of advice the parking can be a little tricky Brilliant Dinning! read more

Had an amazing date night at East End Ballroom. We loved the vintage-meets-modern vibe and the plush booths that felt both cozy and a little bit glam. We ordered the steak frites (so tender, fries crispy and perfect) and enjoyed their wine and cocktails. The energy shifted seamlessly as the night went on, with music and a lively bar crowd, but we never felt rushed to leave our table. The outdoor courtyard was a bonus, super cute under the string lights. Definitely coming back next time we want food, drinks, and a fun night out all in one spot. read more

We saw this spot on social media and thought we have to give it a try. Even though it's a nice space, I don't think it's established a vibe yet. We arrived for dinner on a Saturday around 6:30 with a reservation. We had called to ask about music and they said a DJ is on before live music around 9. There was football on when we arrived, which I don't mind, but the volume of the game inside was so incredibly loud. No one could hear each other. I love a rowdy football crowd, but the volume was excessive. Then when football was done, the DJ was the same volume. Definitely a good place for a younger crowd. It was giving loud Las Vegas sports bar vibe where ppl go to be seen. Not sit down dinner with friends vibe. The prices are a bit steep for a smaller menu and it took a while to get any orders taken and out. The three stars are for the good food. We enjoyed the smash burgers and apps. read more

still got charged extra tip on my card, even though I Left a cash tip. Burgers were small, bland, and they said to me that the burger comes with no lettuce cheese or tomatoes bc it's only a $5 burger smh who cares how much it costs, yall are the ones who put it on special, don't take it out on the customers bc you don't want to take the extra .45c cost for some veggies ‍ Lastly, the bartender wasn't very inattentive, drink was ok, nothing to praise. Too bad, the place looked pretty cool inside. read more

This spot checks all the boxes for a laid-back evening -- dog-friendly patio, great food, excellent music, and solid drinks. The Caesar salad was crisp and well-dressed - love a miso rendition, the steak frites rich and flavorful, and the cocktails perfectly balanced. The music programming is on point, with a great selection of artists & DJs, like the Peterson Brothers and Sean the Outer Heaven owner (RIP) that make the atmosphere even better -- no surprise, since the owners used to run one of my favorite bars in Brooklyn. Perfect for a casual week night out where everyone (two-legged and four-legged) leaves happy, or a little boogie on the weekends! read more

Great food and service. Liked the ambiance. Good for gluten free and watching sports as well.

Music was awesome! Love Sunday Service with Nether Hour! This place has an awesome burger! Service is so so.

Pros: Great service, and the food was pretty good! Cons: My friends and I were very confused at what type of concept East End ballroom is really going for. It seems to be marketed more as a live music venue and nicer bar (which is what we were looking for) but when we went for a dinner reservation on Saturday night it was a straight up sports bar. Football on every TV, drunk people screaming at the game, and the TV was SO loud both inside and outside that you couldn't hear the person next you at the table. Not exaggerating. I had to point at what drink I wanted on the menu so the waitress could understand me from a few feet away. Sadly, I will not be returning. read more

Terrible food. We were the first people to arrive for brunch around 11:45am, they prefaced our meal that they were out of sausage and steak. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches which were pretty good and two smoked salmon eggs Benedict, which came with RAW salmon and the entire meal had absolutely zero flavor. Had to ask for salt and pepper and hot sauce to make it even bearable. We split our meal two ways which was incredibly difficult for our waitress. We double confirmed everything we ordered and the bill was still split up improperly, which made for awkward interaction of asking the couple we went with to Venmo us separately after breakfast. The hash brown was straight from Trader Joe's as well. Waitress was nice but they clearly had no idea how to run a kitchen or cook a meal. read more

Extremely confusing concept and service. No one greeted us when we walked in so we went straight to the indoor bar to order food and drinks. We sat outside and our drinks were not served to us. The bartender had to whistle and wave at us from yards away to get one drink when there were plenty of servers nearby who could have brought the one drink to us. Our food came out 10 mins apart from eachother and my friend's salad took at least 20 mins to be served. Then when we tried to close our tabs inside we were told we were not allowed inside and had to go to the outside bar. If you're going to serve us our food at our table, then bring us our check to our table too? In addition, I can't understand why after having been there for hours and buying foods and drinks, we were no longer allowed inside. There were no signs saying the indoor area was closed off or reserved. read more

This place seems to be having a bit of an identity crisis. Their social media says they are a restaurant/bar/live music venue but I feel like they should remove "restaurant" from the description. Although they do serve food, it definitely felt a lot more like a rowdy bar that just happens to serve food. We had a Saturday evening dinner reservation and expected more of a dinner spot with cocktails and some music in the background. Instead, a football game was playing with a volume louder than any sports bar I have ever set foot in. Most of the people seated at tables were facing the TVs and there was screaming, cheering and even some drunk girls standing on their booth and dancing. Even after moving to another table it was impossible to hear anyone at our table and put a bit of a damper on the night. There were jumbo speakers all over the dining room blasting the entire time. It was so loud the bass was thumping nonstop and the place was shaking. We are a group of social people that love trying new restaurants and drinking and usually don't mind places being a bit on the louder side but this was pretty insane. I will say the service was great and the food was decent but chances of returning for dinner are slim. read more
