Riverfront vibes, comfort food, and a laid-back Austin hang! Dainty Dillo is a casual, open-air spot that nails the Austin vibe. Set right off Cesar Chavez with a great view of the river, this place has plenty of picnic tables, cozy fire pits, string lights, and space to relax -- perfect for a chill evening with friends, dogs, or even solo. The food comes from Biggie's Yardhouse on-site and hits all the comfort food notes: cheesy chicken sandwiches, hearty patty melts, loaded fries, and some surprisingly good banana pudding. It's walk-up counter service, super easy and low-pressure. The bar is well stocked with local beer, cocktails, and hard seltzers, plus they offer a few zero-proof options if you're keeping it dry. TVs are everywhere for game days, and there's often live music or DJs spinning without it ever feeling overwhelming. Staff is friendly, service is quick, and the crowd feels relaxed and local. It's also dog- and kid-friendly, which adds to the welcoming vibe. Pro tip: Parking can be tricky, especially on weekends -- rideshare or biking is a smart move. Grab a spot near a fire pit if you can, and plan to stay for sunset and some tunes. In short: good food, good drinks, great atmosphere. One of those rare places that works for both a casual weekday hang and a lively Saturday night out.

Met some friends for drinks on a Saturday night in July after dinner @ Ezov, just a few blocks away. The service was very friendly and professional. There were two people behind the bar and they were quick to say hi and take our orders. There were some vendors giving away freebies such as coolers and beer, so that was a nice bonus! My friends had beers, two different IPAs, and I had to try the espresso affogato martini. It's exactly what it sounds like... A well made espresso martini with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I normally would only have an espresso martini in the early afternoon, but this was a perfect dessert! Unfortunately, the place was pretty empty, there were maybe 3-5 other guests. The deck is really nice and overlooks the river, too bad it was empty that night.

Since I'm doing Dry January, I was wanting to go to a place that had best of both worlds so I chose Dainty Dillo! I got a hot chocolate and it warmed me up instantly. Sadly, I didn't try any cocktails but I will once January is over. I also got the seasonal cheesecake which paired nicely. We went and played some board games and sat by the fire for a couple hours. I decided to bring my pup and she was able to have a nice time too and eat a little bit of fries.

I was looking forward to visiting this spot for a long time. The outdoor experience is very scenic, overlooks the Colorado River. Constant sport coverage by multiple TVs. Their espresso martini was not the best in flavor. But for $7, I can sit with the taste of instant coffee. My friend enjoyed her cucumber cocktail. The parking is located in front or between Planet K.

Parking sucks - there's really nothing around this spot so definitely recommend ridesharing. It's in the old Tillery location but it's a very chill vibe - bunch of picnic tables and foldable lawn chairs. Food and drinks are good! We tried the burger and a salad. I'd go back but for the chill vibe, not really somewhere I'd want to ride share when there's so many other spots with parking down the road.

Came here with some friends for bachelor night and we had such a good time! Such a smart way to bring in a ton of people on a Monday night outside of football season. The Bachelor starts at 7 so we showed up at 6:30 and were able to find street parking nearby but it was pretty busy even though we thought we showed up early lol. Tons of outdoor seating and even lawn chairs set out to watch the show. On Mondays they have half off espresso martinis on tap which were great. We all got some apps to share and everything tasted great. Staff was nice and did a good job handling the crowd. Only criticism is that they were bad about turning the sound back on after commercial breaks so no one could hear for a few minutes several times.

Good spot for Bachelorette watching on Monday nights. They have half off espresso martinis (they taste like Mexican mochas) on those nights. Happy hour is from 4-7. Parking is extremely limited, but you can park down Tillery and walk over. Drinks are nice cocktail prices without the service. Make sure you check the union app's deal section if you want to save a little $$. For food, we liked the chicken sandwich and the sweet potato fries. The BLAT has a generous amount of bacon. Both would have been easily shareable.

Super cool outdoor space with plenty of fans, speakers, tvs, and quite a bit of seating. You order all of the food through an app as well as the drinks, although there is a bar you can order drinks at too. The app was pretty easy to use and I don't mind using an app so I don't have to wait for someone to come back to the table. We got the chips and queso and split the smash burger. The burger was pretty good but the chips tasted a little stale. All of the mixed drinks were pretty good too.

Dainty Dillo is one of my go-to spots! Whether for game day or just wanting to enjoy patio weather without the loud noise of cars or view of a parking lot. All their drinks are amazing, and their espresso martini is to die for! 100% recommend!

Want a chill friday night? This is THE spot. Live music, lots of outdoor seating, string lighting, beautiful views, good food and drinks....what more can you ask for? I got the BLAT sandwich and it was STACKED with bacon, absolutely delicious. The chairs are super comfy and honestly one of my favorite spots!

I was already not super impressed, but the "valet" situation made me just give up on this place entirely. I arrived today right at opening, parked, got out, got my dog out, started to go inside, and then out of nowhere a man appears asking my husband if he needs to valet. My husband says no. The guy says we have to pay him anyway. I do not appreciate this weird shake down. We decided to just leave. I am certainly ok paying for valet service if someone is taking my vehicle to park elsewhere, as a convenience for me. This isn't that. When we pulled up there was a valet stand but no one was at it. It made sense that no one was manning the valet station yet because the lot was wide open so there wasn't a need for your car to be parked at another location. I'm not paying someone to hold my keys hostage. Central Machine Works is right around the corner.

Great bartenders, lovely view with outside patio seating and a big tv to watch. Must use the QR code to order food but can walk up to the bar to order drinks. Found the guac to be super salty and the bartender compared the Jesus nuggets to chick-fil-a chicken but on steroids. While they were good chick-fil-a's is better in my opinion. Very small parking lot and definitely "dainty" compared to their sister bar but this one is closer to my house. Will definitely be back.

The dark and elegant decor, lighting, design, & layout made me feel as though I were in a high-end Tokyo cocktail lounge. The front room as I mentioned is an intimate bar and lounge area with artwork adorning the walls. It's a modern, minimalist, and sleek space. The artwork is ever-changing (every couple of months or so) and the cocktail menu changes right long with it. Note: artwork is available for purchase. What an absolutely glorious way of combining different mediums (liquid art vs physical art). The craft cocktails & mocktails are the epitome of works of art. I've had great cocktails and mocktails elsewhere but honestly I'd be hard pressed to find anything on this level. You're taken into an entirely different realm just watching the genius of mixologists. It's mesmerizing watching them hone their craft. In the back of the lounge is an enclave of eclectic art and other pieces that then leads you to Konbini, the sushi bar. The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.

The server / hostess seemed frazzled and kept running around trying to get us a section and talking to people about leaving. We stood there waiting for about 30 minutes. Then we were finally seated in a section barely big enough for 6, we were crammed in like sardines, sweatin. We asked the parties next to us if they could push over a bit so we all could fit, luckily they were friendly and accommodating. We were greeted not too long after being seated, Our order was taken by the first server, It took about 30 minutes for drinks and food to start to come out. The birthday girl ordered a hookah and it took an hour and a half for it to come out. Then we were not checked on for about an hour, We finally ordered more drinks and then we never received them, We asked three different servers and were told several times that they were taking care of it and it was never taken care of, We left at 1:15 without ever getting our additional orders. One of the servers told us that the bar was crazy busy and that they were probably making our drinks and people at the bar were just taking them. So chaotic. After 30 minutes of waiting, my server told me that everyone & their momma ordered a bunch of stuff at the same time since the food/drink special was for a short period of time, which resulted in extremely long wait times for food. The Eventbrite page didn't mention that the special was only for the 1st half of the game, which led me to believe that management pulled this not-so-bright idea out of his anus at the last minute. The food at this place is always really good. But the overall experience and timely delivery of food during their football watch party left a lot to be desired. I'm going to give this place one more try because you can't beat $1 wings (that actually are very flavorful) & $5 drinks on GameDay. However, I wouldn't go on an empty stomach. I also hope they expand their special for the whole entire game like it was the last time I went for UT/Oklahoma. ***UPDATE*** I returned for UT/Texas A&M. I paid $60 to reserve a table indoors.
