Just visited High Noon for the first time, and this bar is seriously one of the cutest Austin dive bars I'd easily return to! The vibe inside is dark, a little edgy, and effortlessly cool. Basic cocktails-- bleh. Craft cocktails--incredible. You're already spending the double digits, why not try one of High Noon's signature cocktails? My favorite: the espresso martini. Loved how they set up the space for SXSW Illegal Mezcal showcase of bands and speakers. There were 3 stages. Outside front, inside, outside back. Great weather on the day I went. I enjoyed the mezcal samplers on the porch after which I went to the bar and bought a Mezcal negroni which was yummy! Loved being able to walk around and see the different bands. I wasn't quite sure what the panel topic was in the backyard so I just stayed for a few minutes before wandering back to the front until the bands started. I was only able to drop by for a couple hours yesterday but was glad I did! They were giving away free vinyls so I grabbed a few for my friends because I don't have a player. They even had a little tattoo station set up for those who felt like getting a last minute tattoo. It was a chill vibe and good music. Great place to have indoor/outdoor events and gatherings. Your quintessential Austin bar. Dog-friendly, air conditioned interior, spacious patio, and a taco truck out front. Granted, there's nothing that looks vegan in terms of food, but you can easily walk across the street to Mr. Natural to take care of that. The drinks are really why you're here anyway. Reasonably priced, balanced blends, and some fun frozens. You could easily spend a few comfortable hours catching up with friends here. Big bonus that there's plenty of free street parking nearby, and even a (very, very) small lot in back, if you come early and get lucky. read more

I love the vibes here. The service is great, and there are different areas like the patio and front yard so it never feels too crowded. The cocktails are reasonably priced too- I got the one with beet juice. I like the DJs they book here, it doesn't get busy till like 10 so you should prepare to be out late, but that's in general for night life here. read more

Hi, High Noon! This is a cool dive bar on the East Side of Austin. Located right on Caesar Chavez, this is a relaxing kinda place that serves up much cheaper beers than many of the other places in Austin. They also have Sangria Margaritas, which we had with Ilegal Mezcal. Nom. There's a variety of different lounge areas, two patios, clean(ish) restrooms, and wonderful and speedy bartenders. The music was bumpin'! There's lots of areas for live music here. When I went, they had two simultaneous bands playing. I love the decor of this place. It looks like it's a hundred year old house that someone tore down to the studs, brought in some disco lights, and filled a wall with liquor bottles. Cool. The bar is dog friendly. Very disappointed and confused with the service from the bar on Friday night. One bartender in particular was very rude to myself and other guests. He kept telling guests "I see you" as soon as they approached the bar to order a drink. The female bartender was calm and approachable. It almost felt like he didn't want people to order drinks from him. As a former bartender, I understand being "in-the-weeds" but it wasn't that packed (I've been there on busier nights) for the attitude we received. Our New Classic Margarita's were so sour, we didn't finish them. I've had great experiences in the past at High Noon. I love the charming vibe of this place but I hope they address the service issues! read more

I had the SHADOWFAX (a frozen blend of Skyy Vodka, Rumchata, and winter spices), and it was so creamy and delicious--definitely the perfect cozy cocktail. Lately, I've been sampling my boyfriend's martinis to see if I'll finally find one I love, and let me tell you... High Noon's Dirty Martini is hands down the best I've had so far. Not as cool as it seems on Insta. Based on all of the hype on social media, I was given the impression there was more western vibes going on at the bar than what was presented. It's still a cool bar, there's fun lighting, it's well maintained, sectioned off for social distancing, and there's an outdoor area (which will probably be much more enjoyable when it's warmer out). The drinks weren't bar - pretty much on par with most other joints that serve a decent mixed drinks, or drink on the rocks. Recommend at least checking it out, and if you get bored, there's plenty of other places nearby! read more

We absolutely love High Noon! First things first, they allow pups inside and even provide treats! Having somewhere to bring our boys during the summer is especially important for us. Now into the other stuff! They have an absolutely amazing bar selection, I mean, beyond what's normal for a bar! They have superb mezcal drinks and a really great HH!! The seating inside is dark and cozy, and there's also a large back yard, as well as seating out front and around the front porch! Now that they have (IMO) one of the best food trucks in town, Thai Kuhn, outside, this place can't be beat!! Parking can be a bit tricky as they do only have a couple of dedicated spots behind the building. The staff has always been very friendly, and attentive! They garnish each drink with beautiful dried fruits and flowers, taking care with each one. I had one of the best Micheladas of my life here, I'd easily recommend it to anyone. The "Psychedelic Western" vibe is really cool. Killer cocktails and amazing whiskey selection. We had the ~famed~ Watermelon Margarita with a cricket salt rim and DANG YALL it lives up to the hype. Love what they've done with the inside, the indoor fireplace is so sick, the psychedelic cowboys vibes are on point, the women's restroom is a vibey af mirror maze (seriously it's worth checking out), Tender Thighs out front is some of the best fried chicken of your life, there's patio seating both out front and out back, and the bartenders are friendly--Forrest was so interesting to talk with and made it that much better of an experience. read more

I came to this place a week or so ago shortly after having dinner in the neighborhood. I ordered a drink with friends then went to the bathroom because I was feeling nauseous suddenly (probably from the seafood I had just had but who knows). The bartender (or someone else that worked there? no idea who they were) were peeking under my stall and trying to open the door when I was in the bathroom. I was probably in there about 10-15 minutes because I felt nauseous from something I had eaten at a restaurant before coming to the bar so I guess I was taking my sweet time but it wasn't busy so??? I don't know if they thought I was on drugs/doing drugs or super drunk or what but it was extremely bizarre and they forced me to leave the bathroom. I've never experienced this at any other bar or restaurant literally anywhere. As a woman it made me feel extremely unsafe to have some man yelling at me to leave the bathroom. They can keep their overpriced drinks ($15 for basic ass gin and soda) and mediocre, unfriendly service. Also the taco truck is totally average. I will never go back here ever again. read more

These guys have some great cocktails in a super chill environment. They have a pineapple mint frozen marg that's perfectly balanced. Also had a cocktail with mezcal, grapefruit and beet juice. I RSVP'd for the MOG coin event tonight, and when my friends and I got here, a guy with long black curly hair told us that he couldn't let us in because we'd clearly been drinking a lot. I'm not even sure that this guy works here because he was clearly drunk, but he was being very confrontational. None of us have had anything to drink tonight, and we were only here to support our friends who were hosting this event. My two friends happen to be Indian, so it's possible he was being racist (the confrontational attitude suggested some type of prejudice), but honestly I have no idea. The only thing I know for sure is that I will never be supporting this establishment again, and I will be warning my friends away from it as well. read more

This place was such a cool find! It's a little 80's themed retro bar. They have two wonderful outdoor areas to sit, as well as a food truck out front. I stopped in for happy hour with some former co-workers. We took advantage of happy hour and had some cocktails. I tried three different Mezcal drinks: the Cassiopeia, the High Noon, and the Mezcal Negroni. All of them were delicious. I think the Cassiopeia was my favorite. The cocktail menu is about average on prices. I had the watermelon margarita and it was just okay. My husband got the old fashion and damn I was jealous. The old fashion was smooth as ice. They use a local austin whiskey called Austin still whiskey for their old fashion and 100% a fan. I will be making a trip to the distillery in the near future. Overall a cool place. Decided to check this rebranded bar out yesterday afternoon. Let's keep in mind my girlfriend and I were literally the only two people in the bar around 4 PM -- Tupps IPA was tapped so I settled for something else and my girlfriend tried the Cassiopeia. Nothing impressive aside from the alleged grasshopper infused salt on the rim. Promptly payed the tab after the two drinks (roughly $22?) and left. Checked my bank account this morning and whattya know, $50 tab from High Noon. I guess you got to make up for the lack of patrons by fraudulently charging probably the only two people who walked in that day. The only silver lining here is that I was able to take a delightful poop in their restroom when I first arrived. If you happen upon this place and find yourself straddling the porcelain with a vengeance as I did take a moment to enjoy the overpowering aroma of burning decor! Cheers High Noon! read more

Maybe my favorite new bar in Austin. The vibe is neon cowboy western which is a trip. Best of all though is Forest who works there. I was lucky enough to drop in when they weren't that busy and he spent a lot of time sharing a wealth of knowledge about different liquors to try. Can't recommend enough. read more
