Sip Munch Cafe - Ube Croffle

Sip Munch Cafe

(75 reviews)

Sip Munch is my go-to boba spot in Austin & a place that truly feels like home. I love the ambiance…read moreand decor, and the staff always make me feel so welcomed & like family. The menu has great variety, from amazing Vietnamese coffees to refreshing sugarcane- and fruit-based boba drinks. My go-to order is the pandan coffee and the kumquat sugarcane drink. The coffee is extremely strong( which is what I expect) , and you can tell they use beans from Vietnam . They also offer great snacks, including some traditional Vietnamese street foods. Honestly, whatever you order will be good, from the fruit drinks, milk teas , smoothies, & snacks you won't be disappointed. Also, dont sleep on the croffles. I usually don't like croffles at most places because the texture can be dry / hard or overly sweet, but these are the best I've had, in my opinion.

Rating: 4.1/5 [dine in]…read more Super cute Vietnamese cafe with nice decor. You can order at the front counter or use the kiosk. They offer a variety of drinks and snacks so it took us awhile to decide on our drinks. Cloudy Taro Bliss + Lychee Jelly ($8.04): I ordered this at 75% sweet. It's perfect if you sip continuously, but the sweetness becomes more noticeable when you pause. Besides that, the drink is very smooth and has a prominent taro flavor. Popcorn Chicken ($8.99): Decent, but not the best I've had, though my friends enjoyed it more than I did. However, everyone else likes it. The portion felt a bit small for the price too. It came with a side of pickled veggies which was different. Vietnamese Stir Fry Corn ($8.49): The flavors were on point. They seem to use Vietnamese butter which makes it taste more authentic, and the Chin-su sauce really elevates it. Durian Sugarcane ($8.94): My husband thought this tasted canned rather than made with fresh sugarcane. Roasted Rice Milk Tea With Pandan Foam: My friend's husband ordered this at 100% sweetness, which was too much for me, but the flavor combination wasn't bad. Strawberry Milk Tea With Pandan Foam: My friend got this at 50% sweetness, and it was a bit sweeter than my Cloudy Taro Bliss. The drink tastes exactly like strawberry milk, so if you like that, this is for you. I enjoyed the taste, but it's not my go-to milk tea choice. Sesame Coffee: The Vietnamese coffee had a strong, bold flavor, though the sesame notes in the foam were quite subtle. Rice Paper Salad: Ordered to-go which is not recommended. Unfortunately the rice paper was hard and clumped together, even after pouring the sauce on top, which really affected the overall quality.

Cute new location near me which is exciting. The plants by the window add a nice touch. I got a…read moretaro jasmine bubble milk tea because they didn't seem to have the double purple here, which was one of our faves from other locations. The sugar options were only 100%, 50% or 0% so I got 50%. I found it to be a little bit too unsweet so I wish there was a 70% option. The Boba pearls I felt could be more chewy, but the drink had good flavor. We ordered from a kiosk, so the staff didn't really greet or interact with us and I feel that could've been improved. I'll probably come again to try other drinks since it's close to me.

Bold that or something (not just us either, other ppl did the same thing but just walked out again) We ended up just ordering and the boba itself was just okay. The service was really odd. I was kind of excited because it seemed to be pretty authentic boba, but after looking at the menu and asking questions I realized it was just a facade. The swirl milks are just strawberry milk. The boba is also just so so. When I asked if I could have my drink hot, the cashier replied with "yes the boba is in a warmer". I didn't have the energy to explain so I just accepted it. However on the upside the space is pretty nice to study. They were so empty the entire time I was there. There wasn't a single table that was occupied for the 4+ hours I was there.

First time here and I am so glad I followed the crowd of people going into this boba place! I…read moredefinitely love this boba place more than the other one and the same shopping center. The drinks are better and service was fast. You self order on the kiosk and pay. Then staff will call out your name and you pick up your drink and go. It's a small shop but it's perfect to grab and go. There are limited seats and tables there. We ordered: Coco Kumquat with honey boba 4/5: it's exactly what it is for the name of the drink. Very kumquat forward and it was refreshing. I added & grass jelly to it. honeydew smoothie with honey bob 5/5 I usually don't like smoothies or milky drinks but this honeydew flavor was so good and it wasn't milky. Perfect balance! The honeydew was distant and not super artificial flavored. Do I recommend this place? Yes! Our go to for boba place in MT Market shopping center. Their boba and service is way better than their competitor. Easy Fast and tasty

It honestly feels like you've stepped into a fairytale -- the flowers, the decor, the atmosphere. Just being here instantly lifts your mood. On top of that, the matcha and desserts are truly excellent. The desserts are especially impressive: not overly sweet, very balanced, with a delicate, soft texture. Everything comes together perfectly here: the interior, the drinks, and the desserts they serve. This is one of those places where the whole experience feels thoughtful and harmonious. I'm definitely becoming a regular.

Last night I came in with my partner for a late night treat. It was my first time at this location…read morebut I looked the location up prior to arrival like any good Yelper to determine what the 'vibe' was. Based upon reviews and research, I deduced this was a place that required those who visit to order at a kiosk to get their goodies. Side note: I have noticed that many Bobba and fast casual places have reverted to this model; where customers order and pay themselves without the interaction of an employee and then wait for their food. The main difference here and other places that have similar self service is that this place provides customers with a plethora of Instagramable/ FOMO opportunities. My partner elected to order an oreo marshmallow frappe. This frappe was rich and decadent and included silky chocolate interwoven with oreo crumbles. This frappe tasted exactly like a 'fluffy' oreo; just devine. On the other hand, I ordered the creme brulee souffle pancake. For those who have not yet had the opportunity to try this Japanese delight, the name is what it implies; a creamy stack of pancakes with crunchy bitter caramel, and silky vanilla custard. This dessert happened to be accompanied by a dollop of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. These pancakes melted in my mouth and each bite was just as good as the one that preceded it. Aside from the great desserts as mentioned above, there are far too many instagrammable opportunities in this place (*truly a foodie and Yelp Elites dream).
