Very cozy spot to do work or hang out! I did have to wait a while before someone appeared behind the counter to take my order, but once my order was in, my drink came out pretty quickly! Me likes. Always trying out new boba places around town and had to drive out a bit to find this. It's hidden in a quiet neighborhood strip mall so not the easiest to spot and we were a bit tentative because nothing around it besides this place on this day but there was a cluster of people outside chatting and a small line inside. Then walks in a young girl who was in line but then she hops behind the register to work. There was only an older Korean Asian lady working the counter and making bobas, another just sitting in the store by the restroom before we came so I assumed the younger girl works there or is related to her so she is helping her out. No biggie just tentative and unsure what to expect and people was lining behind us too. I wish I did more research on what drinks was good. But my daughter got the taro and I always pick a simple almond milk tea just to see how they do. Usually can't go wrong with that and if a place makes it wrong well that ain't very good lol We ordered and price is reasonable. It didn't take too long esp now that the girl is working. We got our drinks and I took a sip and must say pretty darn good. I was impressed. I didn't expect much but I liked. The boba texture was good and so was the tea and drink. Taro was good too. Nice. The location is a bit far out but if we are ever near here we would definitely go back. We even told our friends who are boba fans and one has been here and liked too. Beautiful decorations. Me, my mom, and my little sister came in and it was super friendly. My mom is deaf and their visual menu iPad was very helpful for her. I got the Tiger Milk Tea and it was one of the best boba drinks I've ever had. 10/10, so many people need to hear about this place! read more

Mr. Boba is located next to Milburn Park, down the street from Cedar Park City Hall. Although the location is great, I didn't enjoy the bubble teas I ordered. I went for their Honey Green Tea and Honey Milk Green Tea for my fiance and myself. Both tasted powdery and lacked the authenticity of traditional bubble tea that can be found elsewhere. They do have a large menu selection, similar to that of Teapioca, though more varied and less in options. They also play Christian music, which I appreciate, so that was a +1 for me. That being said, I'm picky about my boba tea and I likely won't go back. read more

I really wish I could give a good review. The place had a really cute interior with both couches and normal seating. And there was free wifi. Unfortunately, the lady at the counter taking our orders was quite rude. I can't really explain how, just that typical rude feeling you get from someone. I guess she gave me a sour expression when my order sounded over-complicated. I had the mixed fruit shaved ice, which was unique, but not in a good way. Really don't understand what everyone was raving about. It came with fruit and ice cream, but $5 is still a bit pricey. I really didn't like the jelly (texture didn't fit). The real problem was the ice, which was stone hard and gritty. At the end, there were just several large chunks of plain ice left. However, my daughter had the taro milk tea, which she seemed to enjoy. The menu is very extensive and some of the drinks look great. My wife and son LOVE this place and really like Boba. They have an awesome indoor setup which is kid friendly with a train set. The owners are super nice and have gone out of their way a few times to do something nice. The first time they noticed that our son loves the boba balls and asked if they could give him a small cup of those for free. The second time, my wife left her purse. I feel like I've been here before many moons ago as it feels vaguely familiar, but I was at Milburn Park and stopped by for a drink. And while Mr. Boba definitely serves serviceable boba tea, it's also pretty average overall. The jasmine milk tea I ordered had initially pretty good taste, good sweetness after asking for less sweet and the pearls are decently bouncy. But moments later when the rest of the flavor hits your palette you realize the tea is over-brewed and very bitter. Also seems like most of the menu relies on adding in other syrups or flavors, which is fine, but it can't hide the tea base when the tea is that strong. Maybe it's just an off day but there's always hope for another day. Shop is quaint and cute and a nice quiet place to catch up. read more

There needs to be more people coming here!! It was a Saturday night and I came with my boyfriend to satisfy my never-ending boba craving. We only came here because it was the closest boba shop to us. As soon as I got there I noticed that whole parking lot was empty and the building complex looked really dead. I didn't want to judge from the outside so we decided to go in. We were the only customers in there. Their menu had many options. Ranging from frapps, boba tea, and even food items. I got the regular Milk Tea with Pearls. It was probably the top milk teas I've had! I am a huge boba addict and trust me it was super delicious. My boyfriend just got a small Hot Chocolate. The hot chocolate was also really good. The lady was super sweet. The interior design was very cute. There is a lot of seating inside and I think it would be a good place to go study or just have a casual boba date :) If I'm ever near that area again I'll definitely will be going back. read more

The decor has a European feel to the store. The atmosphere here is nice, seems like a good place to study. The store itself is pretty big with several tables for seating. It doesn't seem to be a very crowded plaza, in fact, it may feel a little deserted. They are more than enough parking available. As for the drinks, I would say it wasn't a memorable experience. I ordered the strawberry milk tea and it tasted very powdery. You couldn't really taste the tea and it was too sweet as well. I didn't end up finishing half of my drink. My partner got the mixed fruit shave iced, which was basically shaved ice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and some fruits. Overall, I gave it a extra star for the nice decor and atmosphere. The menu was pretty extensive too and there are other drinks to try. Both drinks cost around $8. read more

Not sure why this place has such high reviews - so misleading. Quickest boba ever.. literally pre-made, poured into a cup and served. Boba is WATERED DOWN with no flavor and tapioca is way too chewy and tastes days old. Not sure what I paid $4+ for - I could make it better at home. I'll start this off by saying we have had good boba here every time we've gone, so it's not a matter of low quality product. They always get my lemon & green apple slush with lychee jellies exactly right. I have a hard time with other boba shops as they don't normally have that particular combo and it's really the only one I am willing to pay $4+ for. Now, onto why this review is only two stars and why I feel most people come by once to try it and never return. There is this older lady who works the counter and she is very rude. It's not that she says negative things, it's in the absence of a greeting or an acknowledgment that you're there to spend money on her beverages. She is very stoic, quiet, and unfriendly. This is not the kind of person who should be working the front counter as that attitude is why we won't be back again. I wanted to love Mr Boba. We were so stoked when we heard about it opening in Cedar Park, but we haven't had good service on any of the six or seven occasions we've been. That said, I'll be taking our business elsewhere. It's a shame, because it has potential, but this is a business I don't see making it long. My roommate and I decided to take a trip to the Austin Community College library last Sunday (since the public library was closed) for some studying/research. (We're terrible about getting work done at home, with the siren song of PC games and comfy mattresses calling our names). Mr. Boba is conveniently located across the street from a high school, a block away from the community college, and two blocks away from the middle school. I haven't visited during any high-traffic times, but my guess is that they get a fair share of student and family clientele. Authentic Flavor - 1/5 Aww, man. We were both super disappointed with our orders. Rooommate got the strawberry milk tea; I got my usual order of mango green tea with double boba. This cafe definitely uses artificial powders and syrups instead of real fruit - the strawberry milk tea tasted suspiciously like Nesquik strawberry milk powder (with not even a trace of tea taste), and my mango green tea was overwhelmingly sugary. I don't pretend that mango-flavoured tea shouldn't be sugary, but there's a difference between a syrupy, heavy sweetness versus the clear, balanced taste that makes a good green tea mix. Did it taste like strawberry and mango flavouring, respectively? Yes, if your benchmark for "strawberry" is "pink Starbursts"... Boba Flavor & Consistency - 3/5 Ehh. I wasn't super happy but also wasn't super upset. The boba was a little harder than it should have been - did a lot more chewing than I wanted to. In addition, they were way too sweetly coated. I'm not sure exactly whether this was a fault of amount of sugar or type of sugar used, but let me tell you this: when the tea is all gone and you're just scooping up bubbles with your straw, it should not taste like I'm popping 200-calorie-per-piece candies Menu Variety - 5/5 Ah, now here's where Mr. Boba shines. They have all of the requisite menu varieties, with a few interesting extras. Besides all the usual, it's worth noting the "vampire juice" (which contains apple, beet, carrot, celery, and orange) and the shaved ice. The owners of the cafe are Korean, so I believe the shaved ice is Korean-style bingsoo instead of Chinese-style baobing, but that's okay. Shaved ice is delicious no matter how you eat it! Next time, I think I'll try an acai smoothie. Cafe Decor and Ambiance - 5/5 Oh, this place is quaint. It's cutely decorated with little stuffed animals and wall decals. The chairs have cute patterns, the hanging lights are warm and inviting, and the walls are exposed brick. It's adorable and reminds me of a little cottage or village tavern, haha. Not much to say here except that I like it! Promotions, Specials, etc. - 0/5 Well... there aren't any. Or none that I can see. They also don't have a website, a Facebook, or any other sort of social media. I didn't see any announcements or postings when I walked into the location either. If there are any specials, they aren't very well advertised. I understand that they might not need to actively promote if they're getting enough foot traffic, but I also firmly believe that gratitude should be shown to repeat customers. I am on the quest to finding a great coffee / tea spot for my remote work, especially in North West Austin area. I happened to stop by here after reading some great reviews. Here is my version: This is such a cute spot tucked in a quiet shopping center on Cypress Creek Rd, located very close to ACC campus. The owner is friendly and very nice. My tea came out quick, service is great, and lots of parking spots. Plenty of outlets for remote work (nice!). However, the tea quality was honestly disappointing - first of all, it is pre-made and really sweet & watery. I didn't taste the actual tea flavor. And even though this is mainly for boba tea, the types of the toppings are somewhat limited compared to other local tea places. Pricing is slightly higher than other similar tea spots in Austin as well. I really hoped to like this place because it is such a nice spot and one of the very few tea shops in North/ North West Austin area. This place is cute as a button. Complete with miniature living room furniture, a train set for kids and a fireplace with a very zen atmosphere. They have a really great coffee machine that looks Italian, affogato, a range of teas and of course- the latest sensation that is boba. The boba itself is soft , but it isn't as sweet as some I've tried. I had the boba coffee - just iced coffee with boba, nothing fancy. The coffee wasn't great, honestly. My husband tried the mocha, which ran into the same problem - the coffee wasn't great. There are just two people working the shop so there was a considerable wait both to get the orders in and out. After seeing on Yelp that this new boba place had opened, we knew we had to give it a try. The place had a very cozy and well-decorated interior resembling a small European neighborhood, which was perfect for a date night or casual night with friends. After browsing the menu, we decided to order the classic Jasmine Milk Tea with boba. Our drink was ready in less than 5 minutes since there were not too many people when we came. Unfortunately, after taking the first sip, we both knew that something major was missing, more sugar. The drink was very bland, and only had the slightest hint of sweetness perhaps from the boba. The tea was nice and strong, but the boba was too hard and not cooked long enough to be soft and chewy. I then told the owner about our bland drink and she gladly offered to put more sugar. After the added sugar, both of us took another sip, and again our drink was not sweet enough. At that point, I didn't want to ask the owner to open our drink again to put more sugar. Overall, we were quite disappointed with this new place and wished they would at least perfect this classic drink. The place is named "Mr. Boba" after all :P On the bright side, the owner is very friendly and accommodating to making the drink just how you like it, even though ours did not turn out so well. read more

Always consistent and yummy boba! One of my pet peeves, is undercooked boba. That's NEVER the case here. A variety of flavors and other treats to choose from. Unfortunately I haven't tried their shaved ice or coffee because the boba is so solid. I only knocked off a star for the decor, could be better and more updated. Mr. Boba also has a larger fruit selection for smoothies and slushes. The coconut frappe is a family favorite. I love the almond milk tea with boba. My son loves the banana and mango smoothies, which are very creamy and taste like biting into the actual fruit, though sweeter. Since the opening of several amazing boba tea places in Cedar Park and the Lakeline area, this one fell short to exceed the menus of the others. It's a great little neighbor boba stop for urgent boba cravings but you'll find that a lot of favors are powder-based and that not as many toppings are available. The plus side is that if you have a toddler that is particularly fascinated with trains at the moment, you'll be in luck to be able to sip on your boba with your tot engaged in a fun activity. And still, a day with boba is better than a day without. read more
