According to the manager the most popular drinks were posted on the wall with the Hong Kong milk tea being the most popular...in slot #1. Therefore, I decided to go with the most popular tea. Frosty Fox has such a beautiful interior space for a Local Bubble tea shop. I stopped by last night with hubs for a date night out and after dinner we stopped by for bubble tea, and frosty fox was a quick little drive over. The owner I assume took our order, and my mountain oolong tea with oat milk and egg pudding was so refreshing. Hubs ordered a taro milk tea and we loved the prompt service, free WiFi and zen space to cozy up and just meet up with friends and colleagues alike for a cute coffee/tea date! Adorable little shop specializing in Hong Kong bubble tea but they offer so much more. Try a chocolate puffle. We make our own and put all the good stuff we enjoy in there. Great experience! We got their most popular drink, Hong Kong milk tea, and the mango slush. Hong Kong milk tea is different from the other milk teas because there is a stronger tea flavor. They use condense milk and the drink is similar to what you would get in Hong Kong (according to my HK bf). I also really love the interior design. The decor on the shelves is minimalistic, yet elegant. Staff is friendly and the owner was also there. Their tea leaves are sourced from Taiwan, where the owner is from. 3 tables that seat 4 people and 3 tables for two people. There's a parking lot. They give you a punch card. Frosty Fox is an okay bubble tea option if you're in the area and in the mood for boba. Do note that the sugar standards for the drinks are on the sweeter side (the bobarista shared this with us). We had just finished dinner at China Cafe next door and wanted dessert. Instead of getting dessert at the restaurant, we decided boba would be a better choice. We went at 6:30pm on a Wednesday, and the place was nearly empty. We only saw one other person working on their computer in the corner. The music volume was at a good conversation level, not too loud or soft. We ordered a Jasmine Green Tea with lychee and a High Mountain Oolong Tea with boba. The green tea was tasty with the lychee topping, but the oolong tea and boba were lacking. First, the oolong tea was steeped for too long. It should have a color similar to green tea, but the drink I got was over-steeped and dark brown in color. I wasn't a fan of the boba either. The pearls were slightly undercooked; the bubbles were small and too chewy. They didn't have the satisfying chewing experience you look for with boba. All in all, Frosty Fox could be a good option, depending on what you order. But I'd rather go to Gong Cha down the street for better quality bubble tea. read more

The owner, Steven, is from Taiwan which is the birthplace of boba tea, so that means this place is legit. He and his staff are very friendly and accomodating. My favorites are oolong tea with creamy milk, Hong Kong milk tea, lychee green tea, and fruit slush. The tea in their milk tea is very bold and strong, which is the most important factor to me. They also have milk pudding which is very creamy and has the perfect amount of sweetness. I love the decor, the lightning, speakers, and music. Little boba shop tucked away on the side of the Target plaza. The store was bright and clean when I walked in. There was one employee doing the ordering and making the drink, and she was great and apologizing for taking a bit for the drink, which I was totally okay with because I can see that she was the only one. The drink definitely had the taste of brown sugar and tons of it, as I can see some of it drop to the bottom of the cup, so make sure to stir it up before drinking. I was there for the grand opening of Frosty Fox in Gainesville, FL so I was so excited to check out their Austin location. Frosty was a place I had spent a lot of time studying and I had always enjoyed my time there so my expectations for this location were high. For their opening, they had discounts on their speciality drinks which was already a huge plus! It brought me back to the good old days when you could get milk tea for $3.25. I got the matcha latte and besides being so pretty, the matcha flavor really came through and it was the perfect sweetness level. It's also a really nice location to work at. They have some smaller two person tables. But they also have a few larger four person tables so you can spread your stuff out. Each of the big tables has easy access to outlets and they play nice instrumental music that isn't too distracting. They also serve desserts outside of just drinks so you can snack on something if hunger hits. The workers are also super friendly. And you can redeem a punch card. Fresh fruit tea is my preferred boba shop order, but I haven't found any shops in Austin that have it. To clarify, I'm talking about the kind of fruit tea that has large slices of fresh cut fruit in it, not a blended fruit slush or tea flavored with fruit syrup. When I saw it on the menu at the recently opened boba shop Frosty Fox, I knew I had to try it! The ambiance inside is very clean and modern, and there is a good amount of seating for hanging out or working. As soon as we entered, we were greeted warmly by the owners. They were happy to answer any questions we had about the menu and were super friendly. I ordered my highly anticipated fruit tea with boba and 50% sugar. I have to say, I think I found my new favorite boba shop in Austin! The fruit tea was delicious and contained several slices of fresh fruit. I like my boba to be sweet but not too sweet, and 50% was perfect for me. If you like it on the barely sweet end, I would go for 25%. I will say that their 50% sugar is a little sweeter than other shops' 50% sugar, so when in doubt go down a level. Also, the serving of boba was incredibly generous! It was the kind of scoop that lets you get multiple boba balls in every sip and still have a bunch left over as a snack at the end. I will definitely be back for more fruit tea in the future, but shockingly it isn't even in their top 10 drinks! The best part of all this is they offer a loyalty program, where you get a free drink if you buy 8 items, so I'll be sure to come back and try them all. I used to live in the Bay Area so I think it's fair to say I have high standards for boba. That being said, Frosty Fox has probably the best fruit tea I have had aside from maybe a few instances of YiFang I had when I was still living on the west coast. The aesthetic of the shop is very nice, and it has plenty of seating, all of which is very clean, something I don't usually encounter at KFT and the like. The staff is friendly, and it would seem it is a family-run business which I love to support. The boba itself as I mentioned was very good, and the tapioca pearls were just the right texture. When I used to work at a boba shop I remember the long process it takes to get the pearls just right, and keep them fresh to serve with each drink. I am not a boba fan to be honest, however this place was fast delicious and awesome. After eatting sushi from the next door place, we rolled over here to get some boba tea. They made 7 drinks in like 5 minutes. Most boba places would have taken like an hour, but not this place. They have a great system for ordering more or less sugar. Prices are competitive- around $5-6 for a 18-24 oz drink with no boba or any other additions. Pretty extensive menu including puffle waffles, gelato, and custard. They are a little hidden around the corner from First Watch. I got a Thai milk, which was good. The only reasons that it wasn't 5 stars was because I asked for a little ice but got a lot of ice and my drink still had a powdery consistency. My friend got a puffle waffle, and it was delish. Cute new boba shop if you couldn't tell from the logo itself. Definitely love the modern, bright aesthetic too. Definitely a go to place to hangout if you wanted to just grab a drink and chill with some friends. Staff are helpful and offer some suggestions. The menu is a bit small font wise, so can be a little hard to read but it has fairly standard drink menu for a boba shop between teas and toppings. It's a bit less clear, but you can adjust your sweetness, ice level, etc, which the staff will prompt you for when you order, but harder to tell what the levels are since they aren't on the menu itself. As for the drinks, the tea is definitely on the more premium end of the spectrum (hard to find high mountain oolong, sun moon lake in Austin I feel) and definitely enjoyed my beverage. I got an oolong milk tea with creamy milk (I don't know what that means though), 75% sweet, boba and less ice on a large as that's my usual go to and it was very pleasant overall and price was good. Tea was creamy enough and the lids lets you enjoy the drink with or without toppings. The boba itself is perfectly cooked, although it's really just texture - it's not honey or brown sugar boba so it's a bit flavorless. At other shops, I normally do 50% sweet if it's sweetened boba to compensate, so adjust for yourself accordingly. Glad Frosty Fox offers another boba option in North Austin! read more

I came here with my friend for the first time and our drink was pretty good. We ordered a brown sugar latte which we expected to have pearls in it, but it didn't. It was 90% milk flavored which obviously it's milk tea, but you still expect to taste the flavor you want with it.
