Three different strawberry lattes. 2 look the same and 1 darker.

We ordered 3 strawberry matcha lattes as you can see in the photo. One is extremely darker than the others. And bitter. I called to ask if another could be made and I was told "the matcha is just at the bottom". The energy given to me was extremely petty and not what I expected when the error was made on their end. If you want Gong Cha I recommend another location, specifically the one off Guadalupe St.

This tasted so good after a long day of walking in the heat. It's a small shop in Northside with kiosks to place orders or at the front. As for the drink itself, mine is pretty basic. I did notice though that the 100% sweet option wasn't even truly sweet. It was more on the bitter end compared to how they make it in California. I'm glad i got 100% sweet because I think any less and it'd be way more bitter! Still enjoyable. The boba was warm, chewy, and not hard.

Hot, thirsty, and wandering the Domain? Gong-cha's got your back. I usually go for my trusty milk tea with boba, but this time I switched it up with a mango milk slushy--no regrets. It was icy, creamy, and basically a hug for my taste buds on a scorching day. Also, can we talk about the sticky notes on their drink menu? Whoever's in charge of those deserves a raise. They had me laughing while I waited for my slushy. I would definitely recommend. See pics of the place and the menu (and the hilarious sticky notes).

i wish I could give it a 0 star. Would definitely never step foot in this place again and not recommend it to anyone. I ordered the strawberry green tea and it just tasted like bitter water. No redeeming flavor at all. So I told the worker i cant finish the drink. She proceeded to tell me they are unable to make a new one. Another lady (the manager?) was there and said she will make another drink for me. I tried that one too and the taste was so foul I just threw it away. What a joke of a place. Absolutely disgusting teas and the employees were not the friendliest.

We got the Earl Grey milk foam boba tea, and it was delicious! It's the only place we've found with this salty goodness of a topping. A must try when you're here!

Gong Cha is an interesting chain because they can be super inconsistent across locations. When they're doing well, they're at the top of the food chain as far as chains are concerned but they can also miss really hard. The drinks here were pretty good but boba would fall closer to the bottom of my scale. Service and boba as a topping missed here. This location in particular felt unfriendly. Went in to pick up an order and had no acknowledgement whatsoever. Had to announce that I was here to pick up and got the fastest "not ready" response while walking away because it was too much hassle to pause for a second and make eye contact. Very snobby and dismissive, behavior that makes for a terrible impression. Pearl Milk Tea - a classic of all time, the milk tea is a solid creaminess with a hint of tea. Gong Cha does particularly well on the creamier taste, this location isn't much different. Boba however, was clumpy and firm. Tasted fairly old at noon and lacked flavor. Lemon Wintermelon Basil - nostalgic Hong Kong lemon tea flavor with a kick of wintermelon sweetness. This could be a new favorite especially with the heat. Refreshing, cool, and slightly sour tartness are all enhancements to the sweetness. At 30% I believe it's still fairly sweet by nature and going down to 0% is a viable option. If you're adventurous and want a new drink, I highly recommend this. If wintermelon milk tea is one of your go-tos but it's a hot day and you want something more refreshing, this is your calling.

The milk tea with boba had a distinct deep flavor to it. Almost an umami roasted flavor, probably from the tea. Very good, quick service and nice staff. Pretty cheap as well.

Very nice Gong Cha location, service was speedy and they installed a new ordering kiosk to cut down ordering times! Got the lemon aiyu with star jelly and the earl grey with 3 Js, and I always order with 0% sweetness since their drinks are normally very sweet already, especially with added toppings.

So happy to have found a boba spot since moving from VA. I feel like I was going through withdrawal. I've been to Gong Cha back home so I already knew the menu. The menus are a little different as far as drinks from what I was use to but they had what I wanted . I love the fruit teas the best. My go to is a the Lemon Ai-Yu with white pearl but I also like the Lemon Wintermelon Basil Seeds as well. Today I tried the Little Star Fruit Tea. I always get half sugar and lite ice. The tea was so refreshing and had bits of peach at the bottom & the stat jelly was so cute. If your at the Domain and love boba this is definitely the spot. The teas are perfect for a hot day and I love the jelly options . The shop itself is small with some tables but the service was fast and the line was not so bad.

    Vampire Bite Bubble Tea
    Christian R.

The rating is for the drink rather than the business! I tried the new "Vampire Bite" bubble tea and it was just okay. The herbal jellies and pearls created a lot of texture for this drink--if you like texture then go for it! I took the chance knowing this, but had hoped there would still be a good amount of liquid as well....there wasn't. Still love the milk teas from this place, and I'll probably go with my regular choice next time!

Great drinks! The price is a bit pricey for the quantity you get however the taste is good. I got the crème brûlée drink and it came with lots of flavor.

I am looking for creaminess with great tea flavor and this delivered. Some places have great tea flavor but don't deliver on the creamy texture and at that point, why did I order a milk tea. The one aspect that really surprised me was the consistency of the boba. On the day of, boba was chewy and bouncy. I didn't want to chug the drink at the end of the night so I put it in the fridge. To my surprise, the boba was still chewy the next day! Most boba would have hardened. Awesome place, will visit again.

I ordered the black boba milk tea and it came out so fast. I was wondering why it came out so fast and that it wouldn't be good since it was likely already pre-made, however it tasted great and Milk + tea has secured another customer in me. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Damage done was $8 for a black boba milk tea. Very affordable and tastes really good. PLUS it's highly customizable, looks like this one has converted.

The menu has great variety, from amazing Vietnamese coffees to refreshing sugarcane- and fruit-based boba drinks. My go-to order is the pandan coffee and the kumquat sugarcane drink. The coffee is extremely strong( which is what I expect) , and you can tell they use beans from Vietnam . They also offer great snacks, including some traditional Vietnamese street foods. Honestly, whatever you order will be good, from the fruit drinks, milk teas , smoothies, & snacks you won't be disappointed. Also, dont sleep on the croffles. They offer a variety of drinks and snacks so it took us awhile to decide on our drinks. Cloudy Taro Bliss + Lychee Jelly ($8.04): I ordered this at 75% sweet. It's perfect if you sip continuously, but the sweetness becomes more noticeable when you pause. Besides that, the drink is very smooth and has a prominent taro flavor. Popcorn Chicken ($8.99): Decent, but not the best I've had, though my friends enjoyed it more than I did. However, everyone else likes it. The portion felt a bit small for the price too. It came with a side of pickled veggies which was different. Vietnamese Stir Fry Corn ($8.49): The flavors were on point. They seem to use Vietnamese butter which makes it taste more authentic, and the Chin-su sauce really elevates it. Durian Sugarcane ($8.94): My husband thought this tasted canned rather than made with fresh sugarcane. Roasted Rice Milk Tea With Pandan Foam: My friend's husband ordered this at 100% sweetness, which was too much for me, but the flavor combination wasn't bad. Strawberry Milk Tea With Pandan Foam: My friend got this at 50% sweetness, and it was a bit sweeter than my Cloudy Taro Bliss. The drink tastes exactly like strawberry milk, so if you like that, this is for you. I enjoyed the taste, but it's not my go-to milk tea choice. Sesame Coffee: The Vietnamese coffee had a strong, bold flavor, though the sesame notes in the foam were quite subtle. Rice Paper Salad: Ordered to-go which is not recommended. Unfortunately the rice paper was hard and clumped together, even after pouring the sauce on top, which really affected the overall quality.
