We loved our visit to Sip Munch Cafe and would highly recommend! The staff was sweet, personable, and did a great job crafting our drinks. We especially loved the hot salted oolong matcha and would definitely come back for it. The durian smoothie was also enjoyable. Overall, it's a cute cafe with thoughtful decor, plenty of outlets available, and quality drinks. Discounts apply depending on the day of the week (ex: students on Monday, healthcare workers on Tuesday, and teachers on Wednesday).

I really like sip munch cafe!! When I used to live in austin this was my fav spot to grab a quick drink at since it was so close to my apartment and gym :") I still come here anytime im in austin and its still super good! Their pandan coffee is my all time favorite and their thai tea is also sooooo good. I also tried their popcorn chicken and it was yummy too! My friend also tried the honeydew milk tea and i like how it wasnt super sweet and had a nice creamy honeydew flavor! The inside is clean and they have a good number of tables for studying! Service is also friendly as well! Will def be back anytime im in the area again :")

Finally trying out Sip munch. We tried salted coffee (all the hype in Vietnam last years), avocado smoothie and chicken bites. This place really gives me the "after school cheap snack" vibe growing up in Vietnam :)) Their avocado smoothie is made with creamer instead of just condensed milk/milk, I'm not a fan of. You can really taste the flavoring in there - avocado smoothie is supposed to taste fresh and simple. Coffee was pretty good, not too sweet. The chicken tastes good but seems refried too me. Chicken bites were darker with black bits. Shop was nice clean, overall ok.

This is such a nice spot to get some work done! With a good amount of tables, a few outlets, and a varied menu, it's easy to spend the afternoon here! While there were so many things I wanted to try off the menu, (I heard a lot of good things about their match, but I already had a matcha that morning), I decided to try something new - the artichoke water. It was so refreshing (I think they said they also add wintermelon to it or something) and had a really deep brown sugar flavor without being too sweet. Honestly perfect for the summer!

Coconut Coffee (Blended) and Sesame Coffee

What an interesting cafe! We stopped through because I saw some interesting drinks on their menu. They have some twists on Vietnamese coffee. Surprisingly I gravitated to the black sesame coffee while my husband tried the coconut coffee. I really enjoyed my drink. There was a perfect nutty flavor and it wasn't too bitter or sweet. Unfortunately the coconut coffee was not my husband's favorite. If it had some coffee jelly or texture he might have felt different. I personally don't typically get toppings with drinks unless it's red bean. I didn't see toppings so I'm not sure it's really an option or not. Service was pretty quick after we ordered. We sat down and the worker handed us our drinks which was nice! Inside is bright and has a decent amount of seating plus a cute crane game. I'd return!

They have Vietnamese matcha here. It was my first time trying it but they recommended it so I gave it a chance and it was sooo good! I think it is sweeter than Japanese matcha. I just love matcha in general. They have a few tables so it's nice to hang out or work on stuff.

Tried this spot on a friend's recommendation, and it's such a cute little place! I originally went for a boba drink with a friend but ended up trying their Cane Sugar drink -- and it was really good. I'd definitely go back just for that!

I love love love sip munch. This spot has been one of my favorite boba tea shops since they've opened. My go to is the salted oolong milk tea but I really like anything I have ordered here. Their popcorn chicken is also bomb.com! Love the interior, plus they have games to pass the time with friends. The staff is soooo friendly!

Strawberry matcha was delicious! Welcoming, calm atmosphere. Great place to work a little.

this is THE place to go to if you really need caffeine! their different variations of bac xiu and cà phê are insane. Such strong coffee complemented by flavors such as pandan and black sesame. for their other drinks, they are yummy too except their matcha ): very powdery and watery also their music can be a little loud at times - not a great place to study. but I will always come back here for my viet coffee fix!

Pandan Coffee
Johnny L.

It's my first time trying Pandan coffee and it definitely did not disappoint. I was concerned about the sweetness and asked if that can be adjusted, but the coffee is premade so you won't be able to adjust it But that's not a problem at all because the coffee taste great and not too sweet at all. You can customize the coffee by adding more milk or more coffee if you'd like but I like it just the way it is. Great service and clean location with plenty of chairs to chat and hang out. I like the Vietnamese chill music too! There's a really awesome car wash called the Pits that's down the road. So I like to stop by here first to pick up a beverage to sip while I wait for the car wash.

Pandan coffee (L) and bac xiu coffee with sea salt foam (R)
Bee B.

The coffee drinks are tasty! I love the robust coffee flavors and it being mellowed out with the variety of creamy foam. The pandan foam was delicious, but I love the simplicity of the sea salt foam. I also ordered the fried chicken and lobster balls. The fried chicken isn't bad, but I thought the lobster balls were slightly rubbery. I'd have to try some of their other items but for quick bites, the chicken would be the go-to. Staff is friendly and looks like people were just hanging out chatting over drinks. They also have various toppings: boba, jelly, etc. I definitely will have to come back!

We've been back a few more times, and recently got to try the avocado smoothie and the roasted rice milk tea. Both are really, really good and the avocado smoothie is make with actual avocado and isn't too sweet at all even at 100%. Highly recommended either (or both) of them!

I had my boyfriend pick up the food and he forgot to check for the hoisin sauce. I can't eat pho without it, so I called the store and was told it was offered but that he must not have heard the employee asking. I tried to eat the pho anyway, and it ended up being one of the worst bowls of pho I've ever had. I'm Vietnamese, so I know what good pho should taste like. The broth was extremely bland and watered down, with no aroma or real pho flavor. Without hoisin sauce it was even worse. I tried adding seasoning to make it taste decent but nothing helped. The noodles were also hard and clumped together in one big chunk. I had to microwave them for about three minutes just to get them to separate. In the end, I gave up and threw away our 2 -$18 bowl of pho. The broth tasted worse than instant pho. Very disappointing. I should have known better than to order pho downtown.

It was one of our top two banh mi here, along with the lamb one. The bread was nicely toasted, the pâté came through, and all the flavors were on point. Garlic Butter Prawn Bún ($18): The shrimp were perfectly cooked, though the garlic butter flavor wasn't very strong. The vermicelli and veggies were so fresh and tasty together with the nuoc mam that I was able to eat the leftovers without any protein. Curry Ramen ($16): This was our first time trying curry ramen, so we didn't know what to expect. You got to choose your protein, so we went with chashu. The curry had flavors similar to oc len xa dua and was pretty good, and the ramen itself had a great texture. I still prefer regular ramen but would still recommend trying this at least once.

But it also has egg and scallions and pate; overall the combo is satisfying. Separate from takeout, we decided to go for an early dinner. Their Crab Vermicelli Stir Fry is surprisingly sweet, with sweetness as a prominent flavor. It features plenty of crab bits. I also grabbed a Skillet Combo. It came with two runny side up eggs, pate, two types of cured pork, beef gravy, and a handful of cilantro. The baguette came on the side, as did the mixed salad of lettuce and tomato. The salad had some dried shrimp, fish sauce, and a slightly sweet dressing. The restaurant itself is located in the Chinatown Center on N Lamar. It's a small corner shop. Lots of mirrors and glass. The staff are friendly enough. Unfortunately, they've closed, and it looks like another restaurant will be opening up in its place. The situation leaves me unsure about where to go to satisfy savory sticky rice cravings.

The flavor was on the slightly bland or mild side (very subjective, and I ddin't add extra sauce), but I appreciated that it didn't seem to have MSG. This place is legit when you see that it is full of local Viet on a Sunday afternoon!…read more The menu is pretty good with authentic Vietnamese food but we normally come here for the S1 Ribeye Hot Stone Pho. They bring out the meat and noodles separately and then the soup in the stone bowl. This time the asked me if I wanted all the greens-- lime wedges, basil leaves, jalapeño slices and bean sprouts. I never eat the bean spouts but use everything else and it always seems a waste of bean sprouts when I don't use them so I was thankful to have them hold the bean sprouts. Be careful as the soup is extremely hot and the hot stone bowl keeps it that way for a while. You fill the bowl to the brim after adding all the meats and noodles. My only complaint is the noodles. They are fresh and just the right texture... very good! But for some reason the always seem to get cut up after I put them into the bowl. Not sure if they cut them before hand but they end up cut short when put them in the bowI. I prefer long slurpy noodles over cut noodles that's hard to pick up with chopsticks. Overall I still give it 5 stars and this one of the two best pho spots in the greater Austin area
