My fiancé and I tried Pho Please for the first time and really enjoyed it. Pho is one of my favorite dishes, so I was excited to try out a new place. The space has a modern, clean vibe, and I loved the little touch of customer doodles on the wall and by the register. Parking was easy with a big lot, and the wait time was short. Service was great. My fiancé had a lot of questions about the menu, and the staff was super patient and helpful. I got the vegan pho with tofu and veggies and it was delicious. Really comforting and flavorful. The portion was great with a good balance of noodles to veggies/tofu. My fiancé got the chicken pho and thought it was delicious too. We came here for lunch since we were craving Vietnamese food. You can order at the front & sit down wherever you want. Our food came out fairly quickly, and the staff were friendly. Stopped by here after landing in Austin, TX - the staff is super nice and helpful with the large party I arrived with, and the restaurant is clean and spacious! The pho is just okay, unfortunately. I ordered the beef pho with brisket and meatballs. I liked that there's the option to choose between lean or fatty brisket - I chose lean and it was lean and thin as promised. The meatball portion was pretty stingy, I only had two quarter pieces in the whole bowl :( The pho noodles were also on the undercooked side. This is my go-to spot in the East Riverside area whenever I'm craving pho because it's consistently good and I've never had a bad experience. I love the casual ambiance where you order at the counter and they deliver the food to your table. There's a condiment bar with unlimited toppings like lime wedges, green onion, red onion, cilantro, etc. so you can grab additional ingredients to your heart's content! I also like that most of their entrees come in one-size because I can sometimes take forever deciding between multiple sizes haha. We all ordered different dishes, and everything was fantastic. The pho each of us had was absolutely amazing--rich, flavorful broth and generous portions. I really loved the topping bar where you can grab sauces, limes, and anything else you need to customize your soup exactly how you like it. Pho is solid here and they have tripes and tendon which could be hard to find if you end up at a more Americanized VIet restaurant. While their vermicelli is decent, I would not go here if you're looking for authentic vermicelli. The veggies they use is spring mix. While spring mix is a much healthier ( in term of nutrition) it is not what we use for vermicelli. There should be typical lettuce and different types of herbs like mints, etc.. used in this dish. We ordered the combo which comes with 2 proteins and an egg. We chose shrimps and short ribs. Ribs were lean so it was a bit dry and somewhat tough. Shrimp was perfectly charred! I also appreciate their condiments bar. I love lots of lime I my food and even my water so it is extremely nice to be able to self-serve for the extra lime and herb veggies toppings. It did not disappoint, as it satisfied my craving and also showed me one of the more reasonable and delicious Bahn mi's I've had in the city. I ordered the Pho with Mignon Steak and a side of Eggrolls. When the Eggrolls arrived, they came with a sweet and sour sauce, which is a big no-no for a Vietnamese. We need our nuoc mam!! Once I requested it, I was ready to dive in... until I saw how clear the fish sauce looked. I reassured myself to keep an open mind! Unfortunately, no amount of positive reinforcement saved the eggrolls. They were bland... even with the fish sauce!! I could only eat one, which says a lot considering my partner and I usually fight over eggrolls. After touring UT Austin, my mom and I were starving and decided to come here. We were immediately drawn in by the pictures of the self-serve toppings bar filled with unlimited green onions, cilantro, and lime wedges. The staff were super nice, and the restaurant had a steady crowd, lots of natural light, and a really pleasant atmosphere. To start, my mom and I shared the Eggrolls and Crab Rangoons. The eggrolls were fine but nothing too memorable, and they were a little burnt on the outside, although that did make them extra crispy. The crab rangoons were also pretty standard and could've used more imitation crab, but they're my guilty pleasure, so I still enjoyed them. For my main dish, I ordered the Spicy Lemongrass Bun Bo Hue, which is one of my favorite Vietnamese noodle soups. While it wasn't spicy, it had a strong, fragrant lemongrass flavor that I really enjoyed. The thick noodles, rare steak, flank steak, bacon, meatballs, and Vietnamese ham were all cooked perfectly. I especially appreciated how generous and varied the toppings were. The portion was huge, and I could only finish about half the bowl. My mom went with the Grilled Pork Chops with Rice, and she loved it. The pork chops were so tender and packed with flavor that they practically melted in your mouth. Honestly, they were some of the best pork chops I've ever had, so I'm really glad the lady at the counter recommended them. To wash it all down, we ordered a Matcha Green Thai Tea and a regular Thai Tea, both of which were refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly. I love a fast-casual spot that delivers on what they strive to do essentially and do it well. I've only ever gotten the pho here but the bun noodle plate looks enormous and tasty too. Oh my, this place is good. I did takeout for two people this week, and as we all know, takeout is rarely 100%. Pho Please was close... For my colleague, who was feeling under the weather and needed to be in tip-top shape for an evening event we were hosting... he ordered the rare filet steak pho with extra noodles and extra protein. I ordered the chicken pho (which is a chicken broth base, FYI). The chicken pho was good, though I should have asked if they offer dark meat; the menu only features chicken breast. To-go came with a generous side of basil, ~3 jalapeno slices, 1 lime, 1 hoisin sauce packet, and 1 Sriracha. I should have remembered to ask for red chili oil, as I think that really makes the pho! Overall, they have hefty portions. My biggest rec is to DINE IN for the full experience. I'm so happy I stumbled across this place... I could cry! I'm originally from Orange County and have been missing a good ol' authentic bowl of pho that wasn't all the way up in north Austin. Being a native Vietnamese, I hold a very high standard for Vietnamese food, especially pho. Pho Please is getting very close to the authentic one in Vietnam. Each region in Vietnam has slightly different flavors in their pho. Pho Please is on the slightly sweeter side, which is fine.
